Never Forget! Union Thugs Push Down Koch Brothers Tent, Punch Steven Crowder In Face

Eagle American FlagLike the mighty towers of the World Trade Center, a tent belonging to the Michigan chapter of Americans for Prosperity fell in Lansing today because it was attacked by terrorists who hate our freedom…to not pay union dues but still receive the protection organized labor provides workers.

Labor protesters, angry about Michigan’s passage of a Right to Work law, destroyed AFP’s tent thing today. Or maybe that’s what THEY want you to think! Maybe AFP wrecked their own tent to make labor protesters look bad on Drudge Report.

Was 12/11 an inside job?

From the video it’s kind of hard to tell. It looks like union-y looking guys in Carhartt jackets are messing with the tent, but that doesn’t mean they were actual union guys. Plus, you can also see protest marshalls trying to stop folks from being mean to the tent. And then there is the question of…oh good God, who gives a shit about a freaking tent? There are a million cops around the capitol right now. They can arrest perpetrators if they want and they have been. A bunch of people are facing felony charges from last week’s protest.

And speaking of guys who should probably arrested…take a look at this guy throwing blows at Fox News guy Steven Crowder.

Bravo, buddy, fat guy in union jacket punching a Fox News douche. If you didn’t exist, the Koch Brothers would have to pay someone to be you.

Anyway, back to the tent, as Allen Iverson might say: We’re talking about a tent. Not a house. Not a house. Not a house. We’re talking about a tent. How silly is that?

Put that thing back up. Or don’t. No one cares.

    1. natl_[redacted]_cmdr

No, Americans for Prosperity didn't build that tent. But they may have been the ones who brought it down. False flag!

  1. el_donaldo

I like how over there on Fox "union thugs" is pretty much the standard neutral descriptor of the protestors. We decide, indeed.

    1. Biel_ze_Bubba

To be fair, they do make a subtle distinction between violent union thugs and merely agressive union thugs. You can't hardly be more fair and balanced than that!

    1. BaldarTFlagass

Well you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just 'cause some shadowy billionaires threw a dumptruck full of money at you!

  2. CrunchyKnee

BTW, yr Wonkette, the front page still shows the Crist post as the latest. I can only get here from FB.

    1. natl_[redacted]_cmdr

Yes, and the twitterz. But this post and the previous one do not show up on the front page. Obvsly this is the worst/most important thing that has happened in the world today.

  3. Crank_Tango

This is all part of Nobama's coverup of how bengazi stole the election from that nice robot feller.

  4. Callyson

witnesses say the Americans for Prosperity people were trying to provoke union members to violence, and witnesses reportedly saw AFP people loosening the ropes on the tents so they would come down.

    1. ButthurtWingers2012

of course they were….Steven Crowder practically begged one of those guys to slug him in the face. Apparently assface assumed the word protest was a euphamism for getting in people's faces…I mean after the first or third or fourth guy angrilly told him "get the fuck out of my face!" he should have I dunno….adjusted his tactics. But being a Faux Nuuz drone by tomorrow he's going to be hero-worshipped with lots of wingnuts marvelling over his brush with the savage freeloading union gorillas…assholes.

  5. natl_[redacted]_cmdr

The bills have been signed by Snyder. I wish these Union guys could have controlled their anger. They gave Fuxnews all the 'proof' they need about 'union thugs.'

Still, I'm not exactly sad this clown took one in the face.

  6. Lazy Media

How come the union dude who really clocks him seems to be picking himself up from the ground before he does it? I think we've got some O'Keefe-quality editing going on here.

  7. BadKitty904

Considering the earlier American custom of mobs burning down the houses of legislators who's votes they disagreed with, I'd say possibly knocking a tent* over is pretty small 'taters…

    *"Made in China," no doubt

    1. bikerlaureate

The Most Repulsive Powermonger Scalia supports the widely applicable principle that "“I don’t think it’s necessary, but I think it’s effective.”

ETA – Verily, there's no need for union thugs to kidnap someone as supercilious as Dave Agema and tattoo "I'M RATHER ENJOYING THIS" across his abdomen.

    2. ButthurtWingers2012

Yeah…the good old days when they'd rumble…oh how the Faux Nuuz guys would be sorry for sticking their dumb pasty asses in the mug of someone carrying a 2×4 with a nail in it….still, a man can dream, right?

    3. GhostBuggy

True, violence is wrong. However: 1. Since I've taken a couple of punches to the face in my life and it ain't the end of the world, and 2. unless Crowderhead is somehow sickly in a way that is not apparent or he's defenseless, I refuse to feel bad about it. I do wish the union socialist thug oppressor had kept his cool, but still. Douche hit in the face? Good.

  8. BadKitty904

Any chance we can find the name of the American Hero who finally expressed the People's feelings about Fox "News"? I suspect many would like to send him notes of thanks, flowers, brass knuckles, candy, etc.

  9. GeorgiaBurning

I'm sure they have film showing how George Wallace kept LBJ's National Guard from throwing those black kids out of the University of Alabama back in the 60's.

  10. Gleem McShineys

But as I recall, one of the Koch brothers was investing loads of money in curing his peepee-cancer, which means that the Koch's can't pitch a proper tent in the first place.

  11. BadKitty904

And how much air time is Faux giving footage of police pepper-spraying and charging American protestors, including a former Congressional Representative?

  12. veence69

The Tent? Just the fucking beginning. motherfuckers. We'll tear your whole house down.

We are the workers. We will always prevail.

  13. PuckStopsHere

This is worse than the Reichstag fire. The lame-duck MI legislature will doubtless pass an Enabling Act for Gov Snyder before the week is out.

    1. bikerlaureate

You don't suppose Dave Agema, Dave Agema, Dave Agema and Dave Agema are working on that bill right now, do you?

(Replace up to three Dave Agemas with any Christian Reformed elected officials who are entertained by armed officers pushing around, and potentially inflicting pain upon, citizens exercising their Constitutional right to assemble… because that's just a perfect reflection of boundless love for mankind that established and fueled their entire religion)

      1. LibertyLover

That's so weird, my priest told me to say three Dave Agemas and 2 Christian Reformed elected officials as penance for my sins just the other day. ;-)

        1. bikerlaureate

Is this a hardliner priest? One of the old-timers?

When you heard him say "Dave Agema," are you sure he wasn't just vomiting?

    1. shelwood46

I couldn't tell who kept bellowing, "He's got a gun." followed by, "I kill fuckers with guns." Pretty sure whoever said it, it made no sense.

  14. An_Outhouse

That piece of shit from Faux wouldn't be walking unassisted right now if I'd been there. Fuck, I could use thw work out.

  15. christianmuslin

Pussy Riot indeed. I thought you were supposed to fold a tent like a flag, carefully and keep it off the ground. That crowd appeared to be totally white like a white church picnic.

  16. BigSkullF*ckingDog

This tent/face punching tragedy would have never happened if they had all been carrying guns.

  17. An_Outhouse

It kind of looked like Faux was using the tent as their home base. Why was the Faux guy trying to go back into it?

  18. sullivanst

Anyone else notice the video with the punching is continuous… until there's an obvious abrupt cut immediately before the punching begins.

It's almost as if maybe they don't want viewers to see what led up to the punching, like perhaps there was some provocation?

    1. feminazipenishrinker

And, as noted above, the American Punching Hero was clearly picking himself up off of the ground right before pummling some doucheface.

  19. HouseOfTheBlueLights

Right to work. Pro life. Job Creators. Death tax. Why do we let the criminal right supply these horrible horrible Orwellian phrases. It's not right to work. It's anti-union and we should call it that.

P.S. Just spent 4 agonizing hours with my Chinese mother in law. You don't want to mess with me right now.

  20. LibertyLover

Did anyone weep for the poor tents that were destroyed in the wave of terror on tents during the "Occupy" movements? No. No one cared that yards and yards of nylon were torn and not even useful for a child's kite (Not that kids are into flying kites anymore! Damn you, Nintendo/Sony/Xbox!)

Besides, it's not the tent that is important, it's what's inside the tent that is important. Fruit trays, coffee or hot chocolate, operatives willing to buy the government of Michigan. Yeah, good times.

  21. LibrarianX

These union protesters need to follow the lead of the Tea Party by coming to protests armed to the teeth and waving firearms in the air.

    1. Guppy

That's because the Teabaggers don't realize how much doing that feeds into "shot while resisting arrest."

  22. gullywompr

Douchebag Crowder is on Fox right now bragging about how he can take a punch and challenging the Union Thugs™ to another fist fight. He is also a douchebag.

    1. gullywompr

Goddamn he is a douchebag. What a douchebag. Total douchebag.

Fox news is kinda douchy also too. Mass shooting at a shopping mall, three dead, and this douchebag getting punched is their top story. Douchebag displays no visible bruises, and appears to be as much of a douchebag as he did this morning, so I'd say that while families in OR mourn their dead, this douchebag is physically just fine.

      What a douchebag.

      1. gullywompr

Yeah but away from the scene later, and on Hannity, he issued a formal challenge to meet him in the ring. The man is a douchebag.

    2. local242thug

i think i have some frequent flyer miles saved up, unless he wants to come to seattle.

      your move, chowder.

  23. Negropolis

Welcome to Lansing, you douchebags. Michiganders don't play. Sorry, MLK, not today.

Now that we've punched them out with fists, the next stage is to punch them out…with votes and suits. You continue to attack the middle class, like this, and eventually they punch back…literally.

    1. Negropolis

He was so scared that he didn't even have a public signing ceremony. You watch the videos he's made this past week or two and they look like Al Queda hostage videos.

AFP basically told him and the senate majority leader that if they didn't move this in the dead of the night like they have that AFP would primary the both of them. Coward.

I love how Snyder was raving about Indiana, as if the Middle Finger of the South is the state anyone in the Great Lakes should be emulating.

      1. glamourdammerung

I love how they keep trying to claim these bills are so popular, and then doing everything they can to pass them around the normal procedures and hide out while doing so.

        1. Negropolis

To show you how "popular" these bills were, if they'd have been introduced in the coming session of the legislature in January, they would have failed…and that's even with a Republican majority in the state house. That's right, there were enough crossover votes from Michigan GOP house members that these things would have failed in the next Republican-controlled session.

I think that's what's more maddening to people than the actual legislation itself. The cynical nature of how they passed this, after Obama trounced Romney by nearly 10 points and Stabenow putting up a 20 point landslide against her Republican opponent, is what is really angering people.

  24. iburl

Steven Crowder has the #1 most punchable face in the world, so you can hardly blame these thugs when he wades into their shark tank with his million-watt smirk.

  25. Barrelhse

Meanwhile, some jerk just shot up a shopping mall in Oregon. I'm going out on a limb and making a wild guess that the shooter was not a liberal, nor a union member. Suck it, righties.

  26. gullywompr

WaPo reports the douchebags in the AFP tent were throwing pennies at the Union Thugs™, taunting them with calls of "your work isn't worth this".

    1. BadKitty904

At least SOME of the "mainstream" media is reporting this incident for what it is – baiting a crowd in hope of generating an artificial, sensationalistic "incident"…

      1. Ruhe

We need a new term to describe this that fits in with the "astroturf" rhetoric we're already familiar with. I would suggest "aeration" in that it involves poking and prodding the existing natural turf in an effort to force a desired response.

    2. BaldarTFlagass

A sockful of pennies (in rolls, preferably) wielded by the correct person (maybe the guy that would "kill a motherfucker with a gun") would have promptly put a stop to that.

    3. ElPinche

Shit looks fake too. I also saw that unfunny douche is challenging this faux union thug to an MMA fight. This is some type of wingtard Andy Kaufman stunt.

  27. Negropolis

This is nothing more than the Koch Bros. wanting to engage in a show of force after their disasterous losses at the federal level in November. And, we all have to suffer here because the ego of some billionaire's family needed stroking. And fuck Snyder, too. He's stupid enough to think that this somehow helps him electorally in 2014. Surprise, Dick. It won't.

      1. Negropolis

Can't come soon enough. I never trusted him, but thought that he was smart and pragmatic enough to see that leading a state as blue as Michigan as if he was some Deep South governor just wasn't going to be possible. So, it seems that I've even lost that little bit of trust in his judgement.

And, if I have to listen to his little nasally voice one more time…that neck is begging for a throat-punch…with votes. Motherfuckers sounds like an honest-to-god muppet.

        1. GhostBuggy

This fucking guy…he won because he seemed to be a moderate, and has even said as much. He just one-termed himself.

    1. calliecallie

I was thinking about you, Negropolis, because I remembered you're in Michigan too. Michissippi, as some are now calling us. I am so depressed about this, I can't tell you.

I am reminded of a modified quote from Animal House. "Snyder…he's a dead man…with votes."

    1. sewollef

They have palm trees in Michigan? Wow, I guess those 98% of scientists were right about climate change after all.

  28. Trinket

Steven Crowder makes it hard for me to remain a pacifist. Not only did I enjoy watching that, I wanted to hold him down while the Wilford Brimley guys kicked him.

  29. BaldarTFlagass

I like "He's got a gun? I'll kill a motherfucker with a gun. I've killed plenty motherfuckers with a gun." Sounds like a line out of Repo Man.

  30. SorosBot

Yeah, the AFP may have staged a couple obviously fake assaults on their tent; but that's totally fair, because several black Congressmen said "tea party protesters" called them the N-word but didn't record it so it wasn't absolutely proven, which totally means that was faked, as the teabaggers were not in any way racist and would never do that, oh no.

And that is probably exactly why the AFP believes they were justified in pulling this shit.

  31. BaldarTFlagass

Steve Crowder is the Colonel Moodus of FOX News. That guy was just releasing his inner Chief White Halfoat.

  32. gingerland62

FOX is onto something, I would watch "Punch the Fox News On-Air Talent " religiously. God that was good!

  33. fuflans

i'm sorry? what's wrong with tearing down the douchebag tent? didn't we already do this at camp?

wake me up when someone puts the AFP's hand in warm water.

      1. Negropolis

Sucks even more to be us. They were exempted from this Right-to-Work bullshit, which is why they were so enthusiastic to bust skulls. Yes, these guys were even more aggressive than the ones at the protests in Ohio and Wisconsin.

    1. glamourdammerung

That Kaddafi guy that McCain and Graham were such buddies with and badmouthed the President of the United States for preventing the guy from bombing his own towns?

Country first! Of course, the Republicans never specified which country.

    1. MilwaukeeKent

Christ, this is no time for a foreign policy crisis! Good thing it didn't come to light before the election or Romney could have rode the issue like a magic carpet to victory!

  34. Guppy

Is it too hard to just change the chant to "Fuck Fox News" and render the footage unusable? If Crowder can't give the mothership anything usable to sell adspace with, they lose money, period.

  35. Negropolis

Sorry to keep whining, but even outside of the actual issue of Right-to-Work, even outside of how it was passed (literally without notice in a handful of days), is that this is just a little over a month after an election in which Obama won the state by nearly 10 points, Debbie Stabenow beat Pete Hoekstra by over 20 points, and Dems won the popular vote for state house races 53.5% to the Republicans 45.6%…and yet we still only won 51 seats to their 59 because of how they've redistricted the fuck out of the state in the past two decades. This is nearly as apparent in the congressional races here in Michigan were Dems won 50.3% of the vote to the Republicans 46.2%, but we only have five seats to their nine.

You'd think after these kind of the results the Dems would be screaming for a bi-partisan or non-partisan redistricting committee to have the seat outcomes reflect the vote outcomes, but nary a peep to be heard about it. Something is very wrong.

As this week's edition of Lansing's alternative newspaper says:

    "Welcome to Michissippi."

  36. Rebootably_Joe

Ohmygosh, some guy who totally deserved it got punched in the douchenozzle.

This totally explains why the police tear gassed the entire protest, because preportionate response, etc.

  37. Negropolis

You guys, they aren't done, yet…

    |||||||||||||||In Lansing, a day of bills for social conservatives

While Tuesday was all about unions and right to work at the state Capitol, today will be a day for social conservatives in Lansing.

Bills more strictly regulating abortion will be on the agenda today in the state Senate and a bill that would health care providers to refuse services based on a moral objectiion, religious grounds or a matter of conscience will be before the House Insurance committee.

Anti-abortion advocates view the omnibus abortion bill (HB 5711) as simply a means to make womens' health care safer. But abortion rights' supporters see the bill as a means to make abortions less accessible and will lead to the closure of some free standing clinics.

The moral objection bill came about after one of the requirements of Obamacare would require all employers to include birth control coverage in insurance plans. That later changed to require insurance companies to include the coverage in their plans. But the Catholic church, which does not endorse the use of birth control, objected.

The bill (SB 975) would allow health care providers to refuse to prescribe birth control and opponents fear that it will extend to many more services, even treatment of AIDS.

There is also a Sharia law banning piece of shit coming down the pike. It's like they are taking December just to see how offensive they can be before they are forced to shed some seats next month. If the voters new in November that the conservatives were going to pull this shit, we'd have been back in the majority.

What a bunch of fucking snakes. I saw let's make like St. Patrick, and well, you know. I smell some recalls coming on…

  38. ttommyunger

I know the idea of a captive, helpless underclass is attractive to the Kock Brothers and their ilk, but have they once stopped to think that for the first time in history the vast underclass in this huge Country is armed to the fucking teeth? It won't come with pitchforks, dudes.
