Yep. While many would know this is also happens in Pennsylvania and New York stste.

Regarding the latter, there used to be a mayor of Corning, NY - Tom Reed (R-Petroleum), who while mayor sold the city a builiding worth $200,000 for $1,000,000. His family is also into some dodgy ''healthcare'' concerns.

But also, the oil and gas industry (which we do have in the Southern Tier) had already bought him lock, stock, and barrel. So when he ran for congress in NY-23, he was all set. Unfortunately where I live had been moved into his district, a mostly conservative. When he ran again, he won again. Oddly, for me, I knew both of his first two opponents.

OH, and did I forget he was a part of the PHONY Problem Solvers Cockus in Congress with equal numbers of Repubs and Dims (the latter all consevative)?

He won again, just before NY was going to be redistricted, and during the campaign somebody threw a rock through his campaign bunker in Corning and broke a window.

He later came to my more liberal town with the rock for a Town Maul meeting out front of City Hall, implying that someone from my town threw the rock. He was shouted down so much that he gave up and left early. Oh, and no-one here would EVER go to Corning except maybe to the Corning Glass Museum, but we would never go anywhere near downtown where his bunker was.

Oh, and did I say that before the last election thay he had been credibly molesting a woman at an event held on 2021? Well, he denied it until the derricks came home.

But here's the fun part! In Spring 2022 he suddenly resigned saying he was wrong and this led to the Republicans in New York horning in a new R congressweasal, an oddly weak one fror the upcoming race in the Fall. here's wher it gets really corrupt...

You probably have heard lately they the state is going to redistirct for a 3rd time. Too long to explain, but

1st redistricting by Dems, and the state insited on some minor changes which would still have let the Dems the majorith

But the MOTHERFUKCKING ASSHOLE SCUMBAG TURDFACE DEMS IN ALBANY

decided thet could play hardball like the Repubs did but were plalying T-ball with a whiffle ball. So the state hired a specail master to re-re-district the state.

This is where the reel phun begins, BUT I have looked at the clock on the wall which had just fallen off, and after I looked at another one, I notice I have to go out.

SO... I will finish this when I get back as a comment to my own comment...

Stay tuned for the RE-RE-RE-RE-(RE?)-DISTRICTING,

probably a little after Noon Eastern

Part II...

What the corrupt judge and Reed helped with was redistricting NY-23 such that a new piece was added to the most northwesternern part, that is the eastern parts of Erie and Niagara Counties (originallly the entirety of both counties were in NY-26).

Here is where it literaally gets very evil.

But first... an important message from Wikpedia all about Carl Palladino...really...READ IT

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Paladino

So, essentiallly Palladino has been a criminal all his life. And what that judge and Junior Tom Reed's plan was to get him into that seat where he would seriously be worse than all the House Fredaom Caucus combined!

Fortunately another Repub primaried him, sqaushing their plans.

However the Repubdistricting flipped 5 seats from D to R, giving them a partial win.

Note that one who won because of that was Pedro Gumgalez, or is it Chiquita Bananas, or Victor von Douche, you know that Jew-ish Brasilian-Amurican grfiter on Lawn Guyland in NY-3.

He likely won because NY-3, which was fairly even, had a very conservative part of Queens added, which helped Loose McBrines to win.

An Intersting side note, his Dem opponent was... Robert Zimmerman!

Maybe he will somehow get into NY-3 by 2024, as a hard reign's a-gonna fall on us if the MAGAts take the White House!

"Tim Dunn and brothers Farris and Dan Wilks — have pumped small fortunes into as part of a long-term crusade to push Texas to the extreme right.”

The Wilks brothers are known--and hated- in in Idaho for buying up all kinds of land in the mountains and cutting off access to public lands. Hmm, I wonder what a couple extreme right billionaires would want with heavily wooded, out of the way property?
