Things are improving here in Upstate SC. Some traffic lights are working, and more stores are open. I was able to get gas without a long wait, because more gas stations are open too.

The hurricane has brought out some of the best and the worst in people in GA. People were surprisingly civil on the road with all the traffic lights out. But when we drove to the nearest functioning gas station (about 50 miles), the line stretched out all the way onto the freeway onramp because people were filling up a dozen jugs of gas. I'd understand one for another family car or a chainsaw or something, but ten? Ugh. I'm lucky I got there before they ran out.

Glad you are OK. It's really frightening seeing what's happening.
I am hoping that 1,073 missing number on Wikipedia gets reduced soon. This is so awful.
Has anyone in your MAGA government thrown you some paper towels yet? It won't get better until that happens...
LOL!

Ah the usual "I got mine and fuck everyone else" mentality in play...
Gotta keep that generator running!
From the attitude of some of them at the pump, I'm guessing there's some resale and scalping going on.
Hooray!
