Ta, Evan. If it weren't for bad faith, they wouldn't have no faith at all. Anyway, Doocy is too fucking dumb to be aware of mirroring in language.

Shyamala Gopalan, KH's mom, left Chenai for the US. Chenai is the capital of Tamil Nadu which is the southernmost state in India. Somehow I don't think that is what PD had in mind. (Yes that assumes a mind, quite possibly an unwarranted assumption,)

Why the hell would VP Harris fake a southern accent in Pittsburgh?

She wouldn't

If you're a mayo-American unfamiliar with the concept of code-switching, just please look it up

So she finally said, Just shut up.

See this podium, FUCK You.

I would have forgiven KJP if she slipped into a "Madea-don't-play-that-shit and is-done-with-your-ass" accent while taking Doocy down.

I have leveled my accent over the years.

But, I must say when I get frustrated or angry ALL my Louisiana accent shows up.

From a HuffPo article:

"“HARRIS SLAMMED FOR ‘FAKE ACCENT’ IN DETROIT SPEECH,” Fox Business blasted in a chyron.

“Kamala Harris rallies across the country repeating same speech in different accents,” read one Fox News headline.

“Kamala was raised by an Indian mother in Canada, but now she sounds like Fani Willis,” Fox News’ Jesse Watters said on Tuesday night, referring to the district attorney of Fulton County, Georgia, who is a Black woman."

Alternative response:

"I only accept questions on socio-linguistics in written form and including the research phrase written in Standard English and International Phonetic Alphabetic script -- you know so we can make valid comparisons. Or, you can PFO. Next question?"

White people do this, too. Especially if they’re first-gen college grads who are trying hard to make it in College Graduateland but just want to be family with the fam.

Wasn’t W raised in New England!

Yes. He adopted a Texas twang for electoral purposes. His brother Jeb! did the same with a Southern drawl to appeal to the Redneck Riviera.

Yeah … while doing that whole ancestry thing several years ago I discovered that my third-great-grandmother was a Bush. But she was born in Michigan, so I figured it was just a coincidence. Then as I went back generations they were from Connecticut and then Maine. After that I consoled myself with the thought that we are ALL related anyway and as long as we didn’t hang out it was fine.

We are all African if you go back far enough.

If they're all related, that could explain a lot.
