"She talked about what needs to be done in Gaza" - yeah, that was the point where the progressives I follow on Bluesky started yelling "Kamala Harris is despicable"
Respectfully, they can STFU. Even if she were the lesser of two evils (and I don’t think she’s evil at all; at worst pragmatic) she’s such a fuckton better than the alternative. Anyone who chooses not to vote because “Gaza” needs to take off their fucking blinders and take a look at the rest of the universe.
I needed to read this. I was gonna go off in the Springfield post about the Wonder Twin Racist Duo's campaign, but reading about VP Harris parrying their slings and arrows and their heinous message with aplomb has dispelled that fury for the moment.
"I will earn your vote" is a good message and good strategy--it won't be enough to say "Trump is a bigot, so you shouldn't vote for him" because a lot of voters really don't mind voting for someone who hates them if they think that person will benefit them (FDR couldn't give a shit about black people, but arguably his New Deal policies benefitted them, after the Jim Crow bigots took their cut). Don't assume Trump cannot win over a lot of them on that basis.
Point out how Trump will screw over their health coverage, drive up the costs of everything they buy with tariffs, bring on more crime, take away their reproductive and lifestyle choices, and endanger their social security. Point out how under Biden, prices came down, wages went up, jobs became more plentiful, crime dropped, and we got out of the pandemic. And yes, Trump is an entitled bigot who whines like a little wimp all the time--don't underestimate the appeal of "manhood" to male voters--but he's also one who will make your lives worse, while you're the one making their lives better.
I don't have the patience or willpower to check, but I read online Fox News covered her appearance with the NABJ without playing as much as a single word she actually said. Didn't they show Stinky McFelon's appearance live in its 34-minute entirety?
Huh. What a difference it makes when you don't storm in yelling at the panel after being an hour late because you didn't want to be fact checked and were making a scene behind the scenes.

SHIT DID SHE JUST 'WITH GREAT POWER COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY'? SOMEONE GO CHECK ON HER UNCLE RIGHT NOW
Old money (41 and 43) generally knows not to whine so much and to, you know, enjoy their life while undertaking responsibility. Clearly not tfg's background.
Trump "Define DEI to me! (Sure, moron.)
Sure: Donald Ends up Incarcerated
"I find joy in the American people"
I'm not crying you're crying

She didn't get tossed out of the venue? This woman is an underachiever!
What? And she didn’t even call any of the questioners a “nasty woman?”
How does that earn respect?

Her voice is getting worn out from all her campaigning and I thank her for her tenacity to keep going nonetheless.
Keep spreading that joy Harris..We need it!
I'm sure she has some good vocal health people on that "inside staff"
Ta, Evan. Joyful Warriors for the Win!
Playbook also noted that she didn’t make a whole ton of news. She often stuck with her talking points
Ok, but the press is gonna shut up about policy and interviews now, right?
RIGHT?
"And grounded in some age-old stuff that we should not have the tolerance for."
INTOLERANT!!!!

Plus he smells bad and cheats at golf.

Why should anyone be surprised by that? The real surprise is that Fox mentioned it at all.

'They’ll be calling her “Madam President” soon enough, we reckon.'
You underestimate their bitter pettiness.
Christ, I like that person. I want her to be the president of the United States. I think she'd be perfect for the job.
See if you can convince her to run!
