Letting rapists off and blaming it on the victims? Come on down! This guy is surely headed for SCOTUS with a mind like that. Trump's gotta love a judge whose motto is "Soft on Rape" backed with "throw women who had abortions in prison."

And yeah, we KNOW there's always exceptions. Not for rape or incest or (God forbid) the life of the mother, but for their own family and friends. THOSE exceptions they believe in.

I went to a memorial service yesterday and spent some time around the MAGA members of my extended family. They are completely mind fucked. They live in a totally separate disinformation world. These are not inherently bad people, they’re just stunningly misinformed, and it’s all because of zillion dollar efforts like these abominable PAC operations and shit. Even when reality smacks them in the face they can’t feel it.

If you have relatives please talk to them about voting for Susan Crawford.

As usual the press has fallen down on the job. Hardly anyone knows that Musk started shoveling money at the republican candidate AFTER suing the state. It's not just the presses fault though. It's a very rural state and most people don't even have a daily paper.

I typically don't watch debate videos but I wanted to get a sense of who these people are so I dropped in at a random point about six minutes in. Around 6:52 there was a question about the validity of the 1849 law which is pending before the court. Her response was exactly what I'd want to hear from a judge: measured, thoughtful, and respectful of the fact it is a pending case. His response was basically a weasel-words game that an ambulance chaser might use to sneak in a technicality that would benefit his unworthy client. Please Wisconsin, be sensible.

When he was AG under Scott Walker, Schimel joined in bunch of lawsuits against Obama that did nothing but cost taxpayer money.

I had a weird one or two, but nothing quite that bizarre. It sounds like substack has an overwhelming case of ennui.

Maybe the commentor erased the text of their reply but then hit the reply button instead of the cancel button.

The US is insane. How could this sadonazi be at 47% in any poll other than a poll of KKK members? If the Schlemiel wins I will take a Green Bay Packers t-shirt to a mambo and have her put a permanent voodoo curse on that team so they NEVER get near to another winning season.

It should be at -17.

Schimel has that level mild manner way about him that reminds me of Church pedophiles.

"Meanwhile, as a prosecutor, Schimel once asked a judge for no jail time for two guys who raped 15-year-olds, because the victims had “very bad judgment to put themselves in the bedroom alone” with their rapist, to give you a sense of what kind of a guy he is."

Boys will be boys, amirite?

The causes of abortion are as follows: unwanted pregnancy ( most often the result or rape or incest), and medical complications that endanger the health and life of the mother and/or child. Simply passing legislation is not, nor has ever been, the answer.

As for judgement, why do these politicians, prosecutors, and judges never question the judgement of the rapists?
