There's a scene at the end of John Michael McDonagh's Calvary where someone asks Brendan Gleeson's "good" priest, who openly weeps when his dog is murdered, if he ever cried over the abuse of children by other priests, and he admits he hasn't. It's an indictment of the audience as much as the priest.
