White House staffers are dropping like flies this week. First there was Rob Porter, who was accused of domestic violence by two ex-wives and an ex-girlfriend. Now we’ve got David Sorenson, a White House speech writer, who has resigned following a Washington Post inquiry into accusations of domestic violence by his ex-wife, Jessica Corbett. Who would have thought that a guy who wrote speeches for Donald Trump would be a violent sociopath?

Rather than wait for the article to even come out, Sorenson handed in his resignation right after WaPo reporters contacted the White House for comment.

The details of the abuse, which Corbett also provided to the FBI as part of Sorenson’s background check, are positively horrific.

Corbett first contacted The Post a week before Porter’s case became public. She said that during her marriage to Sorensen, he ran a car over her foot, put out a cigarette on her hand, threw her into a wall and grasped her menacingly by her hair while they were alone on their boat in remote waters off Maine’s coast, an incident she said left her fearing for her life. During part of their marriage, he was a top policy adviser to Republican Maine Gov. Paul LePage.

She said she did not report her abuse allegations to police because of Sorensen’s connections to law enforcement officials.

Two additional sources say that Corbett confided to them about the abuse during their marriage. She provided a picture of the scar on her hand from the cigarette burn. She showed the posts texts and emails from Sorenson in which he was verbally abusive, and texts and emails in which she discussed the abuse with other people during the course of their marriage. She had also given this information to the FBI.

Which makes me wonder — what exactly is the purpose of these damn background checks anyway? Really. Like, is the FBI listening to these women and looking at pictures of them with cigarette burns and black eyes and going “Yeah, these guys will make GREAT public officials! Hire them!”

Sorenson maintains his innocence, naturally, but says he simply “didn’t want the White House to have to deal with this distraction.” He also says that he was the victim of domestic violence in that marriage, not the other way around.

For what it’s worth, Corbett is herself a Republican. She worked for Marco Rubio and Newt Gingrich and hung out with the LePages in Maine.

As for Trump, he is starting to get very, very upset about this whole thing where domestic violence victims are believed just because they have a ton of evidence backing up their claims. Even when the guy says he is innocent! How is that fair? What about due process?

That is not what due process is! Due process can only happen in a court. If you believe the men accused are innocent, that is your right, but that also requires believing the women are guilty of lying. Which means they’re not getting “due process” either. Why? Because public opinion is not a court of law.

I believe Jessica Corbett. I believe Jennifer Willoughby and Colbie Holderness. Not because I believe that women never lie, or because I personally dislike everyone in the Trump administration and quite frankly would put nothing past any of them, but because of the preponderance of evidence that they are telling the truth. My personal belief, however, has not had any affect on the lives of these men. The Trump administration chose not to believe their ex-wives when they spoke to the FBI, and the Trump administration chose to accept the resignations of Rob Porter and David Sorenson when that information became public. I was not involved and neither was any other person out there holding the opinion that these women were telling the truth.

Just a pedantic note. Due process can happen outside of a court. For example, in discipline cases in higher education.

    • wait! what?

I don’t think it’s possible to type Trump and higher education in the same sentence with out laughing out loud…

      • The spell-checker keeps stopping and asking, “did you mean kindergarten”?

    • Daniel

And in the stages towards no longer being goyim. Though that might not be spelt the same.

      • msanthropesmr

No, the Jew process is how we rule the world without anyone knowing.

    • Double pedantic: Discipline cases in higher education are a court of sorts and therefore owe due process.

      • Daniel

A court is a court, of sorts of sorts.

        • And nobody can rule like a court but courts

          • Daniel

            That’s a court of a different colour.

          • Parakeetist

Courts is courts, and parts is parts.

      • msanthropesmr

Eh. Courts have consistently found that while due process is required for higher education discipline, they should not bear the rigor of evidence, proof or formality of a court proper.

      • Actually, Trump and all his nonsense is the only logical end game for the last 30-40 years of conservative horse shit. He is the product of what was created.
But then, the last 30-40 years the conservatives have not been actual conservatives. Don’t think there’s been a real one in the white house since Ike, to be fair, and doubt there’s been more than a handful in the congress or states either.

        • Riley Whodat Venable

NPR’s Scott Simon had a fantastic take on this military parade business this morning.
    https://www.npr.org/2018/02/10/584674043/a-military-parade-should-be-about-people-not-power

Here’s just a clip from it:
If the president really wants to see a U.S. military parade roll down
Pennsylvania Avenue, why not leave missiles in their silos, and tanks on
their staging grounds, and ask veterans of the wars in Afghanistan and
Iraq, Vietnam and Korea, to march? Some might limp. Some will be in
wheelchairs. But they will finally receive some of the acclaim and
thanks they deserve. Their march might remind us of the costs we ask
them to bear, during and after a conflict.

Read Hunter Thompson’s account of the VVAW (Vietnam Veterans Against the War) in Miami during the 1972 Repub convention. Stuff like that scares the chickenhawks because it makes people think a little.

      • The Wanderer

It was a gripping bit of story, and you read his shock when the veterans demanded to go into the convention center. He immediately stuck his notepad into the back of his trousers and stowed his wristwatch into his pocket, expecting the riot cops to go crazy.

My father (a Democrat) was a Vietnam vet and career military. He was very conflicted about that war from what he saw firsthand, and didn’t talk much about it until years later.

          • Natalie Au Natural Hedonist

Your father sounds like a good man who was stuck in a bad war. My dad was WW11 and he rarely talked about it and said the people that brag, are usually people who were never in combat.

Yes! I remember that. I once met a woman who said she got a pink Mary Kay Cadillac, and when I asked to see it she said she didn’t have it anymore. Was it really a fable?

There was also a company that had Cookware parties … stainless steel water-less cookware, it was. My aunt bought a set for her daughter 50 years ago, but the daughter didn’t want it and my aunt stashed it in her basement for 20 years. 30 years ago she gave the cookware to me, and I still use it. I had a Toyota in the 80-early 90’s, man was that Corolla tough.

          • Angela Ruzzo

Oh, yeah. I had a 1986 Corolla, drove it for 12 years, and would still be driving it if St. Louis hadn’t instituted emissions testing, which it failed miserably. So I sold it to someone from elsewhere, I bet they are still driving it. I once got 50mpg driving from Maine to Boston with a nor’easter behind me.

Being technical for a minute, background checks are limited to ensuring the subject can be trusted with national secrets. They include blackmail vulnerabilities.
Could Sorensen have been pressured to become an intelligence source? That was the concern, which was apparently satisfied for better or worse.

    • It was not satisfied I am sure. As with Porter, the white house ignored the background check findings.

      • Husband Of Mrs God

That could be. The investigators report, and the agency such as WH decides.

Background checks also cover the likelihood a person will use his position to trade on his own account, contrary to the national interest, and whether a person is too mentally ill to be trusted with power.

I thought that stat was a tad high. So, me, being that the skeptical sleuth that I am, delved deeper as I am wont to do, and I found this Salt Lake City Tribune article that said: “nah man, it’s actually 43%.” Plus, also, too, not-fun fact: 30% of all homicides nation-wide are due to spousal abuse. Well, Sorenson said he is innocent and under Trump house rules that means the bitch lied just like the 20 or so women that accused Cadet Bones Spurs of abuse and rape. As long asa a male Republican states clearly that he is imminent of any and all claims made by women he has obviously committed no bad act. There is no need for an investigation or trial if guilt is denied that denial must be accepted as fact. Remember, the doctor who molested all those gymnasts declared his innocence. Why should his career be ruined just because a couple hundred women accused him of molesting them. All women are liars, Trump knows that and acts accordingly. The rest of the GOP follows him along while kissing his ass and licking his boots (which is darned hard to do while trump’s is walking).

it’s almost like being a conservative leads one to believe that women are property to be treated as they wish.

    • AuntyMaude

Well in my lifetime, women ceased being autonomous people after marriage. They couldn’t get credit in their own name. OT Also, too, we have only had the vote for 98 years. Hope we fucking make it too 100.

      • Mehmeisterjr

In Trumpistan you can choose which hand gets the cigarette burn. Now that’s Women’s Suffrage.

        • AuntyMaude

Fun fact…suffrage went of for 70 years before the vote was won.

      • Angela Ruzzo

My mother grew up during the Great Depression, and she said there were only 4 careers open to women – marriage, teaching, nursing and prostitution. Teachers or nurses had to quit their jobs if they got married. A young doctor proposed to my mother when she was in nursing school in the late 30’s, and she turned him down because she wanted to be a nurse more than anything else. Women weren’t allowed to be married and remain in these careers until after WWII, and married women weren’t allowed to open personal bank accounts or credit accounts or get a mortgage in their name until the 1960’s. The first thing my mother did when the credit laws changed was get an American Express card in her own name – she carried it like a badge of honor.

        • AuntyMaude

I was born in the ’60s. I knew I could be a nurse, teacher or secretary or a mom, but I never thought about prostitution. I remember wanting to be a queen when I was really young and when that didn’t pan out, I figured actress was the next logical step. Your mom sounds super groovy.

          • Angela Ruzzo

My mom was one of a kind. I grew up in the 60’s, and it never occurred to me even once (or to Mom) that I couldn’t be anything I wanted to be. At first I wanted to be a paleontologist and dig up dinosaur bones. Then I wanted to be a NASA astronaut. Then I wanted to be an architect. Upon investigation, all these careers involved a lot of physics or geology or calculus and required a Ph.D, which was not appealing. I toyed with the idea of being an actress, but the chances of making any real money at it was slim. I wanted financial independence ASAP so I would never have to depend on anyone.

          • AuntyMaude

What did you land on if you don’t mind my asking?

          • Angela Ruzzo

I chose International Relations, with a double minor in Economics and Spanish. I was going to join the Foreign Service and be a diplomat and travel the world. It didn’t work out … the Foreign Service is a much more rule-bound and conservative group than I expected. I then moved into local and state government and immigration law, and accidentally fell into computers, ended up being a Network Systems Administrator for 25 years.

    • Ms.Moon

That is because men, especially white men got to do that with impunity. I just finished reading Jefferson’s Daughters: Three Sisters, White and Black, in a Young America. Apart from Jefferson’s keeping his wife’s younger enslaved sister as his mistress (his own sister in law), his son in law his daughter Mary’s husband kept Sally’s niece Betsy (another enslaved woman) as his mistress as well. I had to make a family tree to keep track since the names kept being used over and over in the Jefferson/Hemings/Eppes family and it’s a soap opera. Betsy bore John Eppes’ children, she took care of his child with Jefferson’s daughter after she passed, she took care of his children with his wife when he remarried. She is buried with him. His wife because she refused to be buried next to his mistress is buried with one of their children. This man had the power in his family to have both his wife and slave mistress and it was no problem, his (male) children honored his wished to have his slave mistress buried next to him, his wife was upset about it but he got his wish. This actually happened the graves to this day are still there Betsy Hemings is buried next to John Eppes. This is what they want us to be returned to, a wife and a mistress in the same house and they have to obey the male head of the household or else. Women with no agency dependent totally on men for everything.

we of the present like to think jefferson was enlightened. only more so than his contemporaries. i too, am guilty of this. the fact that many primitive societies were matriarchal, only goes to prove being civilized is no proof of actually being a civil society.

        • Ms.Moon

Jefferson was a bit more enlightened than his contemporaries, however within the society in which he lived he had power which was bestowed on him due to his gender and status. Men of his status it was accepted that he would have a mistress.

    • Mike Minden

Here’s something to ponder: as evil as Nixon could be, he allowed his kids to have pets. Trump isn’t even human enough to do that.

    • Angela Ruzzo

Pat was a strong advocate for women’s rights, and she also advocated for women to become more involved with politics and lobbied actively to have Nixon appoint a woman to the Supreme Court. By all accounts, they had a very supportive and loving relationship. Marrying Pat was probably the smartest thing Nixon ever did, and he admitted it. She would have made a better President than he did, and he admitted that too.

I think it’s time for progressive and liberal Americans to stop pretending that white men in America are not socialized to be socially conservative, racist, and misogynistic. I’m not saying all white men in America are that way. I’m just saying that our society steers them in that direction through social norms. And that’s why we got Trump after Obama. His election destroyed the story we were supposed to believe. So we got some piece of trash who isn’t fit for the position just to reinforce the fact that they believe America was made for white men, by white men for the benefit of white men. Every day I try no to lose faith in my fellow Americans. But Trump is still president.

    • Lord Jim

As a white man, I’d say you were about right. I’m no kind of saint, but the principle reason my tendencies to racism and misogyny are fairly mild and stay latent is because I was a socially backward kid who got out little and had few friends. Had I been from a more affluent family and had fit in better, I imagine I’d be even more of an asshole than I am now.

      • Opalescent Riddles

Once I got out of my parents’ house and town, and lived and worked among people of all types, I saw how easy it had been for one to believe that one was superior by birth when one had been walled off from evidence to the contrary.

      • Natalie Au Natural Hedonist

The ones who didn’t try to keep up with the world, and as a result got left behind.

    • TootsStansbury

That’s my pet theory. Barack Obama tore the hood off the myth of white supremacy and white people lost their shit. The stupid teabaggers were the first manifestation.

      • SadDemInTex

There were many indications of this as well as people pointing it out. There were many white men who had been considered “liberals” until they lost their shit when a black man was elected. It destroyed the myth of white supremacy they had interiorized into their being and they literally went insane (the very definition of congnitive dissonance).

    • Angela Ruzzo

It’s not just white men in America. Selfish greed, racism and misogyny have been societal norms for thousands of years all over the world.

I fell off my chair laughing during the pilot of “Living Single” when Queen Latifah’s character was asked what the world would be like without men, and she answered, “A bunch of fat, happy women and no crime.”

      • Red Bird on a Shithouse

I agree. But the American brand of white supremacy is especially evil when you think about the amount of effort put into maintaining it while at the same time claiming the country is forward thinking.

        • Angela Ruzzo

I think it is more complicated than that. The UK has a history of white male patriarchy and misogyny that is just as evil, if not more evil, than the US, but they managed to make great strides forward in the past 50 years. The US has fallen far behind the other developed nations in the same time period, and why that is so is the interesting question. European nations were in economic ruin after WWII, while the US was unscathed and prosperous, so why this post-war prosperity was not shared equally with all is a subject worth investigating. Perhaps it is easier for a country in economic ruin to accept sharing what little power individual people have in an attempt to rebuild the nation, while in a prosperous country, once people get some power they have a great reluctance to sharing it and only think about getting more of it, no matter who gets in the way.

          • Red Bird on a Shithouse

Good point. The issue does deserve more discussion. It’s hard to cover all views in a comment section.

          • Angela Ruzzo

Very true. The US took a HUGE step backwards when the E.R.A. failed to pass in 1982. Phyllis Schlafly had a lot to answer for. Her true motivations are difficult to ascertain.

I woke up and stumbled into the bathroom in my usual Morning Zombie mode, and stepped barefoot into a pile of cat spew that my sick cat had kindly deposited about one foot in front of the toilet. Ew, gross. After I showered, cleaned up the cat spew and made some coffee, I sat down at the computer and opened Wonkette to see this article about yet another white Republican male abusing his wife. I immediately thought that everything is relative, and stepping in cat spew before breakfast is 1000 times better than waking up next to a man who is probably going to beat me or burn me with a cigarette or drive over me with the car before breakfast. There is some joy in realizing that the worst thing that can happen to me today is cleaning up more cat spew. There is also great joy in sitting down to read Wonkette with a cup of coffee before breakfast, and I realize I do not often say how much I appreciate it. So hey, Wonkette People, I really love you and all the great reporting you do, and keep up the good work!

Trump Gives Wife Beater Praise He Usually Reserves for Child Molesters and Nazis

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—In comments to reporters at the White House on Friday, Donald J. Trump stirred controversy by lavishing an alleged wife beater with praise that he historically has reserved for child molesters and Nazis.

Reporters who heard the President’s comments were taken aback since, in the past, the President had given no indication that he held wife beaters in the same high esteem in which he holds supporters of child abuse and white supremacy.

“We knew that President Trump considered child molesters and Nazis very fine people, but this was the first time he had put wife beaters up there, too,” Tracy Klugian, a member of the White House press corps, said. “We wanted clarification as to whether he considered wife beaters as fine as those other two groups, or finer.”

John Kelly, the White House chief of staff, accused reporters of attempting to drive a wedge between three of the President’s most cherished constituencies.

“Donald Trump has made it very clear that he can be the champion of wife beaters, child molesters, and Nazis at the same time,” Kelly said. “He doesn’t play favorites.”

  • It isn’t just the Trump administration but also judges who fail to look below the surface. Proving domestic violence is near impossible. Domestic violence by definition is behind closed doors, so it becomes he said, she said. In my case, the DA told the police not to send the photos of my injuries. Really?

My ex-husband claimed the bump on my head was from bumping myself in the bathroom. Really? I thought it was when he hit me in the head with what felt like a flat metal object. His story changed throughout the case, and Judge Drager ignored the changes. Civil court judges exclude inconvenient evidence when it affects wealthy men. Judge Laura Drager refused to sign a subpoena for his medical records from Bellevue Hospital where he was taken upon information and belief after he pulled a knife on me. She deemed it, too long ago. How come it isn’t “too long ago” for women affected by Cosby and Weinstein? Does a leopard change its spots? I had two therapists on the phone at the time of the knife incident. The Judge prohibited me from calling both or them as witnesses. A friend recalls my telling her about the knife at the time.

But big law firms and banks don’t care either. They just want partners who line their pockets. Accepting an ACD for wielding a scissor against his daughter wasn’t sufficient to get his abuse to stop. Judge Drager still permitted him to have decision-making over the child he just accepted an ADC for wielding the scissor despite her private school banning him from the premises. She even lifted her Temporary Order of Protection ex-parte with no notice, and we were not present in the court regardless what the TOP says. We found out about it on a Mon or Tues, and it was signed the prior Friday.

Obtaining an Order of Protection in Judge Drager’s courtroom is impossible even with a tape of him screaming, is not your mommy, mommy is going to die. Chest bumping me in the court hallway in front of attorneys didn’t qualify. Threats of burning down the house didn’t as well. What does it take?

  • Zak Vreeland

And if Corbett and the other women were lying to the FBI, they would be committing a crime, another reason why they are not lying. It’s too bad bad the FBI doesn’t then bring the allegations back to the men and say “is such and such true”

  • Bitter Scribe

All the FBI and other federal investigative agencies can do is gather facts. If the people who have been put in charge of the federal government by 75,000 stupid coal miners in three states don’t feel like acting on those facts, there is nothing to be done.

  • Garbageman

I have three words when Trump tries to lecture anyone about ‘Due Process’: Central Park Five . . .

  • Moar Wordz

    No, no I’m not.

  • subatomic

    “Guy Who Wrote Trump’s Speeches…”

He should be in prison for that alone.

    • (Nasty Girl) Brianna #RESIST

Now we know why Trump sounds like a caveman when he gives speeches.

  • Carole

“Grasped her menacingly by the hair” — now where have I heard that before?

Except Don tried to pull Ivanna’s hair out.

  • Squeegee

What is most tragic is that while Rob Porter’s wives left a bad situation most women who are victims of domestic abuse don’t have any options and stay with their abusers.
I’m hoping that like the Weinstein case these cases shed new light and bring fresh attention to the issue of domestic abuse.

    • sarafina

I read all the comments on Editrix’s story last week. IIRC, more women were left by their abusers than took action and left themselves. THAT’s a mindset (not leaving after being abused) that needs to be addressed, imo.

      • Zyxomma

I threw mine out. Neighbors called the cops when he was beating me (for nothing, btw, except his own insecurities); I told the cops it was MY apartment, only my name was on the lease, and I wanted him gone. They escorted him out.

        • sarafina

Good for you, but are you disputing my observation “more women were left by their abusers than took action and left themselves”?

  • Wookie Monster

Which makes me wonder — what exactly is the purpose of these damn background checks anyway? Really. Like, is the FBI listening to these women and looking at pictures of them with cigarette burns and black eyes and going “Yeah, these guys will make GREAT public officials! Hire them!”

The FBI doesn’t have any say over who gets hired at the White House. All they can do is recommend against granting them a permanent security clearance. Which you would think would be a deal breaker for a job that involves handling classified material, but not in Trumpworld.

  • Jesse

Looked up a picture of the two of them, she’s half his size, if that. So, by claiming HE was the victim of domestic violence he’s admitting that he’s a giant pussy that gets beat up by little girls.

I would be perfectly ok with a label like that following him around for the rest of his life.

    • Sakonyachen

I had an ex that abused me. She looked like a five foot three Olympic Powerlifter with double D’s. When I say she abused me, I mean right up until the point I would grab her and throw her down on the couch. At which point she would play the victim. “Mean old guy was throwing me around! All I did was throw body shots and blunt objects at him!” Sounds like she read ol’ boy’s playbook.

Due Process ….???? WOW ..! not from this Person ( President ) …

Donny is both a national and international embarrassment – he floats on about a 40 % popularity level and each time he opens his clap with a stupid statement it crashes .. just analyse how he picks on ‘any’ news like the market for ex. and lays claims to it , to boost his popularity and the moment the market turns —he stirs up other issues , to divert his supporter mindsets..

    • The market has gone up for a record time and need a correction (.. its called Profit taken ..) its as simple as that…..

    • Thereafter the market moves up again…and that’s is reoccurring history …

As for Don – the Con … he is a huckster by trade, a phony con man looking to make an easy buck. He has a history of cheating and lying, and 70-year old men don’t change, except for the worse. He’s also an insecure narcissist, constantly preening for the camera and begging for attention. His decision making process will always be shaky – the guy is incredibly ignorant – but his personality disorders cloud his “judgement” even more.

PS…. Donny Trump is a pathological liar, but what I find surprising is how poorly he does it. He’s like a toddler who gets caught stealing candy, who tries to get out of it by claiming his mom told him to steal it so he could buy her some
crack. And we voted for this bumbling buffoon?

  • gratuitous

All right, I’m officially sick of hearing about these abusive assholes. Women of America, please do me a personal favor and quit fucking Republican men. They’re abusive assholes.

Oh there’s Due Process all right, his name is Mueller and he’s Due Processing all over Dump’s corrupt ass.

  • Mike Steele

Due process might also entail accepting the findings of background investigations and denying security clearances – and, thus, WH jobs – to those who cannot make the cut.

  • PerniciousPlum

Grab ’em by the pussy, punch them in eye, put cigarettes out on their hands, move on them like a bitch…I swear to God I am so done with amalgamation of all that is fetid, detestable, and shameful. Clearly due process is only available to white, male conservatives because it didn’t matter for the Central Park Five, the targets of the Muslim travel ban, or immigrants/brown people. There is not enough Xanax in the world to get me through the next three years without surrendering to abject nihilism.

    • Zyxomma

At least you have Xanax. I get drug tested even for temp work, and I don’t like to drink, so I’m going through this maladministration stone cold sober.

      • PerniciousPlum

I’m allergic to alcohol but I’m not sure that it’s a good thing my doctor has upped my psych meds? I tried stress balls, yoga, meditation, chamomile tea, calming music, watching kittens, but nothing worked. The Hawaii missile warning sent me over the delicate precipice and so here we are. I am almost convinced that were it not for my meds, I’d go completely fetal under my bed so you are far stronger than I am. How do you cope? I get to a point where I never want to read news again but it seems like that would be letting this sham of an administration win? There is no bottom with this, it just keeps getting worse. The awful becomes average, commonplace, accepted and expected. Any tips that would work to keep out of the rubber room would be welcome…I really don’t like feeling like an elephant is sitting on my chest without meds.

      • chronozoan

Not to worry Brave Soul. Soon the angels will come and take you to a better place. And by “angels” I mean the guys with butterfly nets and straight jackets. And by “better place” I mean…you know what it’s probably best if you don’t think about that right now. You’ve got enough on your plate already.

    • Vagenda and Pee-ara

Get out and vote these fuckers out of office. I’ve been reduced to making loud, angry noises, but I will stay strong enough to vote.

    • Jamespuck

Ahh, good old nihilism. Thats a philosophy I can wrap my Zoloft and THC infused brain around. We are all here for nothing. Nothing is everything therefore it is nothing

  • chronozoan

I have never understood men who abuse women. To me they are the lowest of low right alongside those who mistreat children, the elderly, and mentally / physically handicapped. That being said every time I see Sarah Huckabee Sanders or Kellyann Conway I have an overwhelming urge to just punch them in the face.

    • Rooster Cogburn105

With votes, friend, always with votes

    • Vagenda and Pee-ara

You are not alone. The fact that this asshole’s wife is a Republican also makes me not give a shit what he did to her. If you vote for, and support, misogynists and neanderthals, from the Leopards Eating Faces party, don’t act shocked when your face gets eaten, or beaten. Republicans are dumb, but female Republicans are dumb AND masochists. They are almost as bad as gay Republicans.

      • Dante Ardenz

Great points, the the dumbest are the Republicans on Social Security, SSD ,SSI , Medicade , and SNAP . In the era of GOP moderation fine ,but the years since the 90s they got to be totally nuts !

        • Vagenda and Pee-ara

I have 2 elderly acquaintances living off SS, and their government worker’s pensions. I can’t wait until that gets cut to pay for the Koch brothers tax cuts.

      • blaid droog

Gay republicans need to be be kicked in the balls repeatedly. I don’t know what to do to the women. Grab them by the pussy ?

        • Vagenda and Pee-ara

Agreed. I’m gay, and it disgusts me that gay Republicans exist.

    • Dante Ardenz

I felt like that when I saw Ms .Conway in that absurd Holloween Costume she wore on Inauguration Day ! The tastless ” cute ” Minute Man meets toy soldier outfit .

  • Delu

Once again, birds, feather, you know the rest.

  • Ray in VT

Wait, are you expecting me to believe that nice guy LePage would have someone who could be a total a-hole working for him? That doesn’t seem right.
