Only good thing about this week is that we’ve been introduced to the wonderful Rep. Frederica Wilson.

This stupid week just keeps getting stupider. When General John Kelly, Donald Trump’s chief of staff, addressed the press Thursday, he spoke from the heart about what happens when an American servicemember is killed in action. It was especially touching because Kelly lost his own son in the American war in Afghanistan, and his other son is still serving.

Then Kelly transitioned from that sober moment into taking a giant shit all over Sarah Huckabee Sanders’s podium, which was rude, because that’s where SHE shits. Kelly attacked Congresswoman Frederica Wilson for being a terrible person who lies about what Donald Trump says to the widows of the fallen, but in his defense of Trump, he actually confirmed Wilson’s account.

But there was a weird moment in the presser where, apropos of nothing besides trying to damage Wilson’s credibility, Kelly told a story about Wilson taking credit for getting “all the money” for an FBI building in south Florida named for two agents killed in the line of duty. He said she rudely said this during her speech at that building’s dedication. He accused Wilson of being the face of “a long tradition of empty barrels making the most noise.” (What an asshole.) Kelly said he and everybody else present were just appalled by her words, but you didn’t see them going on “Morning Joe” to talk about it, the way Wilson did re: the president’s phone call to Myeshia Johnson, widow of Sgt. La David Johnson, who was killed in Niger for reasons Donald Trump has yet to explain.

You will be floored when we tell you the next thing. Are you ready?

KELLY WAS LYING.

The Miami Herald spoke to Wilson about the 2015 FBI building dedication:

Thursday night, Wilson said Kelly got the story flat-out wrong. In fact, she said Washington approved the money before she was even in Congress. The legislation she sponsored named the building after [Benjamin] Grogan and [Jerry] Dove, a law enacted just days before the ceremony.

“He shouldn’t be able to just say that, that is terrible” … “This has become totally personal.” […]

The General Services Administration had already bid out a $144 million construction contract for the project in September 2010, just a few months before Wilson won her congressional seat. The bidding for federal projects takes place after Congress has secured the funding.

“That is crazy that I got [the money] and Mr. Obama just gave it to me,” Wilson said. “That building was funded long before I got to Congress. I didn’t say that. I have staff, people who write the speeches. You can’t say that.”

When the Miami Herald published, it hadn’t been able to independently corroborate Wilson’s side of the story yet. But the Sun Sentinel did! Indeed, they posted video of her full speech, which shows she categorically did not say what John Kelly said she did. In reality, her speech was anything but All About Her.

Go watch it. We’ll wait.

Have we called John Kelly an asshole in this post yet? (Yes.) Let’s all say it together this time: CHRIST, WHAT AN ASSHOLE.

Short version: Donald Trump, John Kelly and their flying monkeys want you to know they think Rep. Frederica Wilson is a real bitch, and they’re lying to get that message across. And people have gotten the message! Wilson’s office has gotten threatening phone calls, and Trump idiots/Russian bots are flooding the Twitter hashtag #IBelieveFrederica with barely literate comments about FREDERICA DERANGED RODEO CLOWN HILLARY CLINTON URANIUM FAKE NEWS I DON’T LIKE THOSE HATS SHE WEARS.

President Dipshit attacked Wilson again Thursday night on Twitter:

Psssst, Donald! Are you saying Kelly was lying when he confirmed Wilson’s account? Or are you lying? OR IS IT BOTH? Also how was she SECRETLY on the call? Was she hiding under the backseat in the limo the Johnson family was riding in to receive Sgt. Johnson’s body? Because Wonkette hates it when our elected officials do that. (Of course, she was invited along, because she is friends with the family and she mentored Sgt. Johnson.)

Wilson responded to the president’s pissy tweet on Thursday night:

And when the Sun Sentinel produced the video of her speech, which showed Kelly was lying, Wilson tweeted again.

LOL! And that, dear ones, was the second Wonkette started following Rep. Frederica Wilson on Twitter. You should also do that!

Anyway, this has been an excellent blog post about how John Kelly lies like a rug. Goodbye!

    “SECRETLY” on a phone call?

When you make a phone call the receiver of that call can make it public/record it/ send it over the Internet webs.

Now if YOU initiate the call and want to record it, YOU HAVE to inform the person you are calling that they are being recorded.

You called HER. It wasn’t a secret.

This IS THE LAW! NO GREY HAIRS IN THIS DONNY.

    • h4rr4r

This depends on the state you are in.

NY state is a one party state, meaning either side can record without notification.

Some states are two party meaning both sides have to agree to the recording and be aware of it.

      • Baconzgood

Actually this is an issue that got resolved in the Federal courts in the mid 90s. State law hasn’t caught up yet

        • h4rr4r

          Really?
Do you know what the case name was?

          • Baconzgood

It was during that whole Lewinsky deal. When her friend recorded her and turned over the tapes to Ken Star.

            You recall that litigious fiasco?

          • Oblios_Cap

            It rings a bell….

          • Baconzgood

It was all in the papers how the Virginia “wire tapping” laws were violated. The call was placed in Virginia and made to D.C. hence federal jurisdiction.

Maybe calls placed in state fall under state law. But clearly this isn’t the case.

Even lunk headed Baconz could argue the case.

          • Baconzgood

            See lower post.

    • Vincent Ricola

I, along with 10 or so other people, secretly listen in on phone calls at least 6 times per workday. My boss incorrectly refers to them as “meetings”

      • And the worst thing is when you click on a link and they autoplay a video and you forgot you were off mute and they get an earful of press conferences over the intercom…

    • AnnieGetYerFun

Yeah, no. There are only a handful of states where you can record the other person without notifying them. NY, NJ have single-party consent. But although you technically CAN do it elsewhere, it’s not legal.

      • Baconzgood

It was resolved in the 90s. State law didn’t catch up yet.

        • AnnieGetYerFun

Well, THAT’s the last time I take legal advice from The Good Wife.

  • Robbertjan Brandenburg

Ok, I see what you are saying but this thread was really enlightening to me why Kelly would react like that. Read the entire thread:

    https://twitter.com/HoarseWisperer/status/921093937305210880

    • cmd resistor

None of that justifies him completely making up shit about Rep. Wilson’s remarks at the FBI building dedication just to discredit her.

      • Robbertjan Brandenburg

I know but Kelly appears to be in a constant limbo.

        • cmd resistor

I was willing to cut him some slack before yesterday.

        • Maggielle

What does that mean? (No snark.) I am trying to understand why the Hoarse Whisperer would think it’s okay to countenance the extra, even unnecessary harshness of Kelly toward Rep. Wilson as if it somehow helps prevent WWIII. How can it do anything but coarsen Kelly’s reputation and maybe even his own thinking? He slandered Rep. Wilson, esp. about the FBI building. How is that excusable? How does that help keep the lid on?

          • Robbertjan Brandenburg

I really dunno the exact details but right now I an willing to ccept certain things if that results in not starting WW3

          • Opalescent Riddles

A possible scenario is that Donnie wanted Wilson to be flayed, and Kelly did it simply so Donnie wouldn’t take the matter into his own hands.

Edit: kind of like when the drug lord offers the undercover cop some coke, and the cop snorts it to keep from being “made” as a cop so that the ruse can continue.

          • ariel_gee_398

I understand the impulse – people want to believe that SOMEONE is an adult there – but that really doesn’t help his case. An adult would talk Trump out of escalating, say, you know, whatever we meant, the widow was upset, let’s apologize to the family for upsetting them and move on.

Barring that, a good man would say, we’ve caused this family pain, and I personally cannot be involved in making it worse.

          • Opalescent Riddles

“An adult would talk Trump out of escalating”

I’m not sure Trump can be reliably talked out of anything. He has to be manipulated, and that’s an acquired skill.

    • ariel_gee_398

Two things: He didn’t have to lie to defend Trump. He could have said, “we don’t think the Congresswoman should have made public the private comments of the President” and left it at that.
Second, I don’t honestly think Kelly is a very good man, certainly not out of step with most of Trump’s worst policies and impulses: https://www.newyorker.com/news/news-desk/evaluating-john-kellys-record-at-homeland-security

      • cmd resistor

Even his stuff about how he tried to give Trump advice about what to say might have been acceptable without the lying and fake righteous indignation.

    • Red Bird

      Noooooooooo.

    • Persistent Demme

      I can’t see the thread.
      What’s it about?

      • Robbertjan Brandenburg

About Trump’s NPD and Kelly having to deal with it.

    • Claire

I’m not buying it. There is zero evidence that Kelly is containing anything. He fired some of the more egregious clowns in the car; good for him, I guess. But the absence of nuclear war does not mean that Kelly is some great selfless American hero who is single-handedly saving the world.

That thread is just more of the creepy worship of the military as faultless paragons that’s somehow taken over American life. Kelly wouldn’t even take questions from reporters who couldn’t prove they were worthy by their proximity to military dead. That is really, really, really disturbing and the fact that so many people want to let him off the hook because he used to wear a uniform is even worse.

Remember that all this bullshit started when a reporter asked Liddle’ Baby Donnie if he anything to say about the soldiers who died in Niger. A topic on which he had been silent for two weeks. Trump’s answered by talking about letters, phone calls and a lie about Obama. Trump STILL hasn’t spoken to the American people about those four men and the circumstances of their death.

Compare this with Hillary and Obama after Benghazi. Within days of the events, Republicans were calling for impeachment and arrest for not saying it was terrorism. And Susan Rice did not get to be Secretary of State for not saying it on TV.

Honestly, Trump is a horrible man who I don’t expect to be any good at offering condolences. If he had simply said “That wasn’t the most artfully put statement” in response to the outcry, then it would have died down. But no, of course not. Because he can’t take the tiniest amount of criticism. Ever.

    • jesterpunk

But thats the thing, he can be good at offering condolences as proven by the comments and videos released by families of white soldiers. Its those other soldiers he is an ass too then attacks if they dare release what he said.

        • jesterpunk

That really seems to be true.

        • cmd resistor

I thought I was having a tin foil hat moment when I wondered this. My wondering was based on I think a photo of one family member who was interviewed somewhere who did not get a call and who was black. Also, some of those families interviewed who did get calls referred to Trump knowing stuff about their person and it made me think he probably had files in front of him when he called (which could have had photos). Would not put it past this creep to set the black folders aside……The one thing in that TPM article that is possibly an excuse is the dad in Columbus, IN, who said he got a call from Pence, not the president. He said he wanted a call from the PRESIDENT, just to say thanks. I am guessing they pawned that one off on Pence because he was born in Columbus (I only know this because my kid lives there and there is a big sign when you come into town about it being birthplace of VP Pence.) This still doesn’t excuse them not having Trump call when they TOLD the dad that he would. They probably had Pence call once they figured the file had ended up on the “black” pile and Trump wasn’t going to do it.

          • Cousin Itt un Mondialiste

And the sign hasn’t been vandalized yet?

      • AnnieGetYerFun

I didn’t think the NYPost wording was particularly great, either. Not completely insulting, but not exactly comforting. And he offered that other guy money, which was weird. Anyway, even though I despise Trump completely, I don’t really believe that he wanted to convey to a military widow that her husband deserved to be killed.

        • George Kaplan

I’d like to think so. For now I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.

I think it more likely that he is simply inarticulate, rather than biased and mean-spirited, … on this occasion.

But I no longer put it past him to sink that low.

          • AnnieGetYerFun

            Yes, that’s well-put and fair.

    • weejee

For sure. And based on personal experience, there is no artful offer of condolences to one who has lost a child. You try your best, but in the days, and weeks, and months, and years after you let them know you still care and share their grief.

      • AnnieGetYerFun

I would just start blubbering and crying if I even tried. My empathy is way too powerful. There was some poor kid murdered in Lynnwood a couple of days ago, and I start crying every time I think of it. I don’t know the family and never will, but the idea just jabs me right in the emotions.

        • Three Finger Salute

“I would just start blubbering and crying if I even tried. My empathy is way too powerful.”

…and then the dotards on the Internet would call you names, like they’re ready to hang Trudeau for breaking down over Gord Downie.

This, from one of the loudest right-wing culture warriors about “the family”.

      • Villago Delenda Est

‘Kelly told a story about Wilson taking credit for getting “all the money” for an FBI building in south Florida named for two agents killed in the line of duty. He said she rudely said this during her speech at that building’s dedication. He accused Wilson of being the face of “a long tradition of empty barrels making the most noise.”’

Sad state of affairs when “I know you are but what am I?” is an apt response to literally everything that comes out the white house.

    • Villago Delenda Est

It’s what we’ve sunk to. Elementary school playground taunts.

He’s only in jail because people hate soldiers (who solicit bribes).

  • Electric Ukulele Land

Sure, Kelly could have said he respectfully disagreed with Rep Wilson and left it at that — but this is the Trump administration, so of course we’re engage in some dishonest character assassination. Pine for the good old days when people treated women well and then engage in some name calling and dredge up some possibly mis-remembered but definitely not accurate grudge to take someone down a peg. The fact Kelly was brought out at all to speak to this issue was manipulative and unbecoming of a man of his stature.

    • Boscoe

As I suggest a few posts down, I suspect that Kelly was duped. I think a trump staffer fed him those “mis-remembered” details, which he believed, and they enraged him enough for him to openly smear shit all over himself at that presser, thinking they were accurate.

I’m curious to see what (if anything) happens when the debunking has had a chance to sink in. I have a feeling that Kelly considers himself honorable, and will not take being used as a political tool lightly.

Or maybe he’s totes cool with it. Who knows?

  • Lefty Wright

  • armed_bears

This is what journalism is for.

When the Miami Herald published, it hadn’t been able to independently corroborate Wilson’s side of the story yet. But the Sun Sentinel did!

  • Boscoe

You know what’s weird, is that John kelly’s broken and scrambled “knowledge” of “facts” he uses to attack people criticizing trump sound EXACTLY like TRUMP’s broken and scambled “knowledge” of “facts” that he uses to attack people criticizing him.

It’s as if the same broken and scrambled propagandist is feeding both of them their talking points. CAN’T BE!!

    • Whoa if true.

      • Boscoe

Yeah, I dunno, for some reason I’m just having a hard time believing that Kelly just happened to remember (incorrectly) the text of Wilson’s speech and the facts and timeline surrounding it (also incorrectly), off the top of his head while giving a press conference. Probably I’m just too cynical.

But wouldn’t it be amazing if he got pissed off when he realizes how he’s been used to unwittingly further falsehoods by Trump’s staff, and in anger, publicly admits he was manipulated for political purposes?

        • Arolpin

I almost believe that someone in the WH wrote the story, did a quick search to be sure that the video wasn’t the first link on a Google search, and then figured that there was no video. They aren’t very good at this.

    • cmd resistor

      Someone somewhere suggested Kellyanne.

  • Lance Thrustwell

I will say one thing in defense of Trump here, and then immediately undercut it:

When he said the soldier “knew what he signed up for,” a more artful way of saying the same thing might have sounded something like “He knew the risks, but he signed up anyway; that’s why he’s a hero.” That condolence would have raised no eyebrows, and would have been essentially the same thing.

BUT: given the nature of the modern presidency, Trump has no excuse for being as astonishingly clumsy and inarticulate as he is. The plain fact of the matter is that the modern president should be expected to be an at least reasonably accomplished rhetorician, capable of projecting basic moods like solemnity, reverence, and empathy. If you can’t handle the job, quit, you fucking fraud.

This wasn’t just a lie. This was calculated character assassination. Kelly didn’t just recall a two year old speech by a relatively unknown Congresswoman at the dedication of a local Federal building. Someone did research. Someone knew what she said, and deliberately lied about it. Then, Kelly went out and repeated the lie to smear a member of Congress.

    • Opalescent Riddles

Just read this and thought it was very interesting.
    https://www.newyorker.com/news/news-desk/john-kelly-and-the-language-of-the-military-coup

Also read elsewhere today that a woman received a call and was very touched that the President talked to her. She also had it on speakerphone for her family, and intends to publish the conversation. I guess Kelly didn’t tell her that the conversation was sacred and secret. I can’t find the damn article, so I hope someone else can. I’m really quite sure I wasn’t imagining it. Not that many pain pills today!

  • From John “guts, God, and glory,” Kelly:
“Women were sacred. Looked upon with great honor. That’s obviously not the case anything as we see from recent cases.
Life, the dignity of life is sacred. That is gone. Religion, that seems to be gone as well. I just thought that self-less devotion that brings a man or women to die in the battlefield might be sacred.
…the only thing I can do to collect my thoughts is to go and walk among the finest men and women on this Earth. You can always find them.
    They’re in Arlington national cemetery.”

John Kelly believes dead people are the finest.

    SOMEONE GET THE GODDAMNED HOOK.

    • susan_g

Kelly meant to write, “Women were silent.” You know, the good old days.

      • And by “life,” of course he’s referring to fetal existence.

    • irishdave3

Doesn’t he even realize the “every sperm is SACRED”…why has Catholic education failed here?

  • Good_Gawd_Yall

    Two things:
    A) John Kelly also had to have been listening in on the conversation, or he wouldn’t have known what Dolt 45 said, so how is the conversation “very private”?
    2) Maybe someone on the idiot-what’s-in-charge’s staff could have scheduled the call for a time when the widow and the other family weren’t IN A LIMO ON THE WAY TO PICK UP THE BODY?
iii) Lawrence O’Donnell drives me up the wall sometimes by showing lengthy clips of Fuckface von Clownstick, but when he gets righteously pissed, nobody does it better. His takedown of Kelly’s “Empty Barrel” comments is right up there with his takedown of Taggart Romney over Mittens Jr’s remark about getting into a fistfight with President Obama.
    d) Kelly should have just gone with his first instinct and called Rep. Wilson an uppity n-word bitch, because his dog whistle was more like a klaxon.
What? I’m a former English major, not a math whiz.

  • Lyly Sirivong

John Kelly can always say “that’s what I was told” and “I can’t check everything people tell me !”

But he was there at the building dedication. The original Sun-Sentinel story from when it happened does show that, based on whatever his military assignment was at the time. She didn’t talk about money, but she did talk about her legislative efforts for 2 minutes (the FBI had approached her for help, and she delivered) and she told an interest group about her efforts on their behalf in a speech. This behavior is unheard of in a politician.

        • cmd resistor

I don’t think she even spent 2 minutes on her efforts and most of her recounting of the process gave credit to the other congresspeople who helped move it through quickly, like Boehner who got it through committee and to the floor. And most of her speech was about the dead FBI guys.

          • Rocket Pony Ron

Pfft, like THEY matter. This is about TRUMP! TRUMP TRUMP TRUMP!

        • cmd resistor

and Grrrr, now I’m reading stories on sites by people who viewed the video saying she spent 1/3 of the 9 minutes talking about her efforts., which isn’t even accurate. And Stinky Sarah’s statement today is that if she spent any time at all talking about herself then she is an empty barrel. I so hate these people.

          • Darrell Imaginarian

Well compared to Trump’s speech at the CIA in front of the wall of fallen agents, Wilson did grandstand a bit.

          • H-Bob

You forgot the sarcasm font !

  • Suttree

It seems that spending too much time with Turnip turns you into a liar. If we’re just making shit up now, I think that Stephen Miller came up with this bullshit, whispered it into Donnie’s ear, who then had Kelly repeat it. Fuck you Kelly!

    • Rebel Scum with permit

Donnie’s lies are usually usually less sophisticated it’s true. They are usually variations on “Fake news and I can prove it”. I think Kelly was capable of coming up with this garbage all by himself. If he had to shill for Trump, he should have said the absolute minimum.
“I coached him on what to say and it was misinterpreted” would have been more than enough.
The bullshit about “empty barrels “ was just stupid and unnecessary and more like a Kelly response to an uppity civilian. Remember how rudely he treated the Congressional Hispanic Caucus over immigration?

      • Suttree

        Good point.

    • irishdave3

So Little Steve Miller, protege’ of Spencer is getting the (German) American Bund back together?

  • OrdinaryJoe

I am not suggesting that by lying about a member of Congress, Gen. Kelly made himself subject to a court martial but for the good of Corps discipline I am of the opinion there should be some repercussions. After all, he is now a proven lying piece of shit that wears the rank of full General. He should at least lose two stars.

    • Nockular cavity

^^THIS. To emphasize the point, A UNITED STATES ARMY GENERAL LIED TO FALSELY DISCREDIT A MEMBER OF CONGRESS.

Weird how economic anxiety is only felt by white people, even the well-off ones, and not by the people who have good fucking reason to feel economically anxious.

  • BadKitty904

Kelly is as much a traitor as any of the current Executive Branch and Congress…

  • BigCSouthside

I still don’t know how this is still a thing. The family said they were offended. Attacking Rep Wilson at this point is telling that family they are wrong

    • Boscoe

Right? It’s pretty bizarre the way they are keeping the focus entirely on Wilson as if the family doesn’t even exist…

    • Daniel

Yes, but what if they are?

I have heard this argument, and it comes back to the same thing all the time- if you’re accusing a white man of harming a woman or person of colour it’s obligatory to judge them based on their intentions and not their actions.

    • Rebel Scum with permit

I’m going to say something that’s not going to be popular. I don’t think Wilson should have gone public about Trumps offensive call. I think it’s just resulted in even more pain for the family.
That being said, why Trump and Kelly couldn’t STFU about this is absolutely beyond me. I’ve got to paraphrase Charlie Pierce and ask if everything the Republican Party is getting in exchange for selling their miserable souls to Trump is really worth it. They could have gotten their bogus tax cut from Pence. I hope they choke on it (with votes).

      • Tony Zimmerman

I agree. But Trump thrives on this shit… So I’m not surprised that it went down this way.

        • Rebel Scum with permit

To be fair, I don’t think she did it for any kind of political gain. I think she was furious with Trump, with the disrespect she saw, and with the pain the widow and family were experiencing

          • H-Bob

Also, it is 75% probable that Trump’s staff knew the Congresswoman was meeting the family and deliberately scheduled Trump’s call for that time. Of course they stupidly didn’t realize that the widow would put the call on speaker phone (so that the entire family could hear the call from the President) and that Trump couldn’t refrain from being an a-hole for even the duration of a short telephone call.

      • Darrell Imaginarian

I would see your point, except she’s been friends of the family for generations.. and I’m going to operate on the assumption she discussed it with the family first. Sergeant Johnson’s mother went to the media and made a brief statement backing Rep. Wilson’s account. I’ll try to maintain a charitable view of your motives, but people should really stop pretending WIlson was just scheming politician who hitched a lift to the ceremony somehow. Both the dead soldier and his two brothers were graduates of her mentorship program. People should shut the fuck up.

        • Rebel Scum with permit

Like I said in my follow up comment, I don’t believe it was for any kind of gain. And if she did get the permission of the family to go public about his comments that’s very different

I know. If they just let this shit go, it wouldn’t still be in the news. But they have to keep digging themselves a hole.

Kelly also feels sorry for people who haven’t served their country in the military…do you think he was looking at the Abominable Showman when he said that?

  • bubbuhh

John Kelly thinks he has to follow orders just like an ordinary Otto Adolf Eichmann, including insulting the several people his fuhrer already insulted in an effort to whitewash said fuhrer’s insensitive and counterproductive public behavior. Apparently, the USA armed forces officer corps are a very poor place to pick up the basics of democracy.

Mebbe, he should leave the government service. We have enough people acting all neo-nazi in Washington, DC.

    • Rocket Pony Ron

I’ll take door number two, Wayne.

  • bubba

    Is this Trump’s Benghazi?
While everyone is so busy talking about the president’s handling of his call to the widow of the soldier killed in Niger, you’re all missing the important part of that story, the part about what happened that night in Niger.
The story that is emerging is so much worse than anything that happened in Benghazi, but the same GOP Congress that investigated Benghazi with a fury seems to have little or no interest in this story.
Here’s what we know so far…
These soldiers went to a meeting in an area near the border with Mali. This is a well known hot spot for ISIS activity.
Our soldiers were not backed up by US Military air support. No, they were backed up by the French, who were not authorized to intervene or even fire a shot.
Our soldiers did not have armored vehicles. They traveled in pickup trucks.
Our soldiers were given faulty intel that said “it was unlikely that they would meet any hostile forces.” Of course, they walked into an ISIS ambush. It was chaotic and they took three casualties.
It took the French 30 minutes to arrive. When they did they were not authorized to help. So, a dozen of our Green Berets fought a battle with more than 50 Isis fighters, without help, for 30 minutes.
Finally, a rescue helicopter arrived, but it was not a US military helicopter. No, we apparently outsourced that job to “private contractors.” So, these contractors landed and loaded the remaining troops, the injured and the dead.
Here’s where this gets really bad…
Because they were not military, they never did a head count. That is how Sgt. La David Johnson was left behind.
    That’s right…they left him behind.
According to the Pentagon, his locator beacon was activated on the battlefield, which indicates that he was alive when they left him there.
They recovered his body 48 hours later but are refusing to say where. According to his widow, she was told that she could not have an open casket funeral. This indicates that he was mutilated after being left behind on the battlefield.
This is what led to the nonsense we’re obsessing over. This is the real story. As usual, you’re allowing it to be about Trump’s distraction, but this is Benghazi on steroids.
The Trump Pentagon gave these men bad intel, no support, outsourced rescue people and then tried for more than a week to pretend it never happened. In that time, Trump spoke on many occasions and never mentioned it. He tweeted attacks on many but never mentioned these men. Only after pressure from the media has he bothered to even acknowledge these men and their service.

    • Arolpin

Now they are saying that his locator beacon wasn’t activated, so the assumption is that he was already dead when they left him there. I wonder if they did an autopsy to determine if he died from gunfire or was captured alive and then killed.

      • Rocket Pony Ron

My guess? No, because they knew damned well what they’d find if they did, and they’d never keep it under wraps.

      • ltmcdies

he was found a mile away from the attack site.

        • Sarah E. Grove

Here’s the thing though. She has every right to not only open her husband’s casket if she so chooses, but she can obtain a non-military autopsy to be done outside the confines of the military. Dr. Michael Baden, Dr. Spitz or Dr. Cyril Wecht would probably donate their expert skills to determine the cause of death.

She can take his remains away from any military authority, if she wants. There’s nothing they could do to stop her, and it certainly would affect any benefits she and her kids are due.

I know she’s probably not at all thinking straight right now, but I’m hoping she really wants to know exactly HOW he was murdered. (because we’re NEVER going to get the truth from the military brass.)

          • Darrell Imaginarian

Uh… she can do that but… nobody’s corpse is going to be that pleasant after 48 hours dead in a ditch in a tropical climate. I assume he was killed by the 50 people shooting at him. He could have taken alive and murdered but… I’d rather not tell her that. Personally I would lie.

          • JohnC44

Almost forgot about Baden…that guy is a badass.

          • Sam the Sham

How about that forensic pathologist Dr. Garavaglia, who had the show “Dr. G. Medical Examiner”? She was good. Too good. She retired and moved to Oregon, unfortunately. But I bet she would come back for a repeat performance if needed.

          • Max Perde

Yeah but she is a fucking shill for Fredhat and Maxine the two cunts of DC.

          • Sarah E. Grove

You’re a liar, just like two-scoops and Kelly. She’s no shill — she’s a pregnant young woman with two young kids who just lost her husband, you freak of nature.

    • Jennaratrix

You should really credit the author so we can all follow her on Twitter if we’re so inclined.

      • ziggywiggy

She tweeted that she was not the original author of “What happened in Niger”, but doesn’t say who was the author just that it was going around FB and she trusted the source.

        • Jennaratrix

Fair enough. Still, when I copy/paste info from somewhere because I think it’s good enough to be shared, I at least say where I got it. Guess that’s the pedantic history professor in me coming out.

          • ziggywiggy

I agree, I checked her twitter because you shared her name and I wanted to know more. It would be good to know where it originated.

      • TundraGrifter

Actually, this sounds more like the death of Pat Tillman due to “friendly fire” than it does like Benghazi. Open the dang big package of CoverUP and spread like crazy all over the place.

I did read that his minions kept Mr. Trump from reading the prepared statement about the deaths of four brave Americans because they didn’t think he could be counted on to pronounce correctly “Niger.”

  • Rocket Pony Ron

I guess Proven Liar John Kelly has decided he likes being in that hole Donnie and his acolytes keep digging.

  • coozledad

Americans need to stop the disgusting habit of licking anything in a uniform’s ass. It’s the most unamerican shit you can do, to begin with, and it results in rule by murderers.

People climb the ranks in the military by sucking ass. Ours, especially, is designed to reward the aspirations of craven fuckwits. That should always be the base assumption.

    • Jacob DiCiaula

This is going to pain me, siding with a member of the Trump admin. I don’t want a rimjob because I wore a uniform. And, I enjoy the socialized medical care I receive via army tricare.

I believe Kelly carries water for someone he knows isn’t fit. He’s trying.

I can’t believe I’m cheering on having a military junta, but it beats the alternative

      • HazooToo

He did start out at DHS, where he oversaw the explosive expansion of ICE operations. And what he’s ‘trying’ at is protecting Trump, not us. Am I wrong, btw? If so, let me know and I will correct myself in the future.

        • Jacob DiCiaula

My step-son gives me a stuffed animal to keep me company when I’m at the army. He also tells me he wants to drive an aircraft carrier when he’s older.

Id probably cry if he enlisted.

Look, I’m not giving passes on military stuff under Trump, but Kelly really probably deserves a pass. The man has sacraficed in a way POTUS won’t.

          • HazooToo

I’m not going to touch his military service or his losses. They don’t have anything to do with suggesting ICE separate mothers and children at the border, eliminating federal guidelines that oversee agents, calling the muslim ban “real wisdom”, joking about Trump using a ceremonial sword on the press, and telling lawmakers that they can either change the laws or shut up and stop criticizing his CIC. And now he is continuing to act like a racist ass and lie about a sitting Congresswoman, while calling her an “empty barrel” and defending the President for making a Gold Star wife cry. He can’t hide from all of that behind his uniform.

      • More_Cowbell

I’d be willing to go along with that, except that Kelly brought his own lie into the narrative. He didn’t have to do that. And at the end, he didn’t have to limit questions to reporters from Gold Star families. Kelly went WAY past what he had to do, if he is just trying to keep Trump reined in.

      • Robyn Ryan

I’m a retired AF officer. As a rule, Generals aren’t bright, they have been coddled and they are political animals.
They are so busy flouncing around in sexxxxy combat uniforms, they don’t see systemic problems and failures.
They mostly hold MBAs, and think in terms if corporate goals.
If they support Trump, they think like him. Period.

        • Rebel Scum with permit

I have to agree with both of you. We stay at a lot of Navy Lodges and places like the Haile Koa in Hawaii because we’re cheap. A general or an admiral doesn’t get anything like the pay commensurate with what an equivalent person would get in the private sector, so they get all these respect symbols, perks, and deference to make up for it.
The house on the hill overlooking the entire base, flying his personal flag when he’s there, his own car and driver, reserved parking everywhere, yes sir no sir three bags full sir. It could go to your head very quickly.

        • Guinnessmonkey

If by “Generals” you mean 4-stars…. Yhea, I think I’d agree with that. I’ve met some brilliant 3-stars, though. Several of the graduates of programs like SAMS make it as far as 3-star (though most don’t, as the top brass have a bizarre suspicion of anyone that’s too smart or intellectual). I don’t know if any have ever gotten a 4th star, though. Instead we get nitwits like Tommy Franks in the top ranks, since 4 Stars seems to be a “no nerds allowed” club.

          • irishdave3

Tommy Franks…He attended the University of Texas at Austin where he was a brother of Delta Upsilon
International Fraternity. He dropped out of college after two years due
to subpar grades and lack of motivation. Of course Franks graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Midland..Lets review, Franks, Boner and Pickles Bush, Steve Green and Tommy Lee Jones…though as far as is known Tommy Lee didn’t actually kill no one. Just played one on T and V in the Executioners Song….

    • Rebel Scum with permit

Well, I served. I was a woman who served right after the Vietnam Nam war when it was a shitty time to be in the military, and an even shittier time to be a woman in the military. My fiancé served as an officer a little later, in one of those Crom forsaken missile silo bases at the height of the Cold War. A place where if the shit did hit the fan, and the guys below had to turn the keys, they were told not to bother going anywhere, because they’d all have 15 minutes to live.
We both saw our share of human ass plugs, morans, and lickspittles.
But, there’s no shortage of them in the corporate world, family run businesses, government, or anywhere else.
I think much of our fetishization of themilitary has to do with guilt. If there was a draft, we wouldn’t love it nearly so much. They are professionals, brave, good, bad, and indifferent humans putting themselves in more harms way then most of us do.

Has anyone in the media considered that John Kelly gave Trump the “he knew what he signed up for” line? Reading through his speech it really sounds like something he would find appropriate.

    • Msgr_MΩment

I think it’s part of the suck-it-up/hero bullshit that’s fine/not-fine if you’re talking about yourself in a braggadocious way, but is a really shitty way to comfort someone.

    • He did give it to trump. He said as much. He also said it (as i posted somewhere yesterday) in a coherent way that made sense (in a hardass military way).

But trump is such a sociopath it came out as an assault.

Kelly also warned him against calling the families (he may be complicit but he sure as hell knows what trump is) but peestain insisted b/c Barack Obama or something.

    • Sarah E. Grove

Yes, he explained that he said that line to Trump — because after his son was killed, a fellow General said it to him. Both he and Trump are too damned stupid to realize that the conversation BETWEEN TWO GENERALS is in no way appropriate for a young woman on her way to meet her dead husband’s remains!

Where in the hell is the normal human COMMON SENSE?!

  • Robyn Ryan

For all of you longing for a military coup: Kelly is the finest the Army has to offer. Creme de la creme.
He and Flynn and Matt is. Don’t forget Boykin.
I wouldn’t trust them with a dead mouse in a bag

    • Guinnessmonkey

Flynn got shitcanned out of the Army. Kelly was a Marine and his top command was USSOUTHCOM (Central and South America. Hardly the command for the “best and brightest.” I’d say it’s the least important Unified Combatant Command in DoD these days).

Also: is anyone longing for a military coup? If so, why?

I have now had it. WH sticking with Kelly’s lies:
    http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/356415-wh-stands-by-kelly-criticism-of-wilsons-fbi-speech
The White House on Friday stood by chief of staff John Kelly’s criticism of Rep. Frederica Wilson’s (D-Fla.) 2015 speech at an FBI building dedication, even though newly released video shows he misrepresented her remarks.
“Gen. Kelly said he was ‘stunned’ that Rep. Wilson made comments at a building dedication honoring slain FBI agents about her own actions in Congress, including lobbying former President Obama on legislation,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in statement.
When pressed on the issue during a Friday press briefing, Sanders accused Wilson of making “quite a few comments” outside of those captured in the speech that were witnessed by Kelly and others.
“As Gen. Kelly pointed out, if you are able to make a sacred act like honoring American heroes all about yourself, you are an empty barrel,” she said.
“If you don’t understand that reference, I’ll put it a little more simply—as we say in the South, all hat no cattle.”

    • An Outhouse for the résistance

Its their FOX News standard operating procedure. Make shit up and double down. They think this is how normal adults interact. Hannity et al are not normal adults.

  • Perkniticky

You know, this situation makes me admire Tillerson a liitle bit more. I mean, he’s completely crap at his job, but at least he realises that getting into public slugging matches over Trump is beneath his dignity. Why did Kelly have to get involved at all? Just say the president speaks for himself.

    • Beanz&Berryz

      whatever the fuck he said…

    • Angela Ruzzo

An intelligent, rational person does not get up on a stage before the global media in the days of internet and live video and say another person said something without verifying that they actually said it. I certainly wouldn’t, but Kelly did, which says a lot about him.

  • Viktor

All that prestige one gets working for Trump. Retired General, tapped to be secretary of the worst made up after 9-11 depts, DHS. Back in the 70’s and 80’s, whenever something disappeared at my office we would always blame the KGB. But then the USSR collapsed, so we started blaming Gremlins. At home, I blame everything on my cat.

    • irishdave3

Clearly a band of roving Gypsy Marines scouting for strawberries.

  • NastyBossetti
    • Opiwan

I think if a 4-star general lies to a reporter (or, you know, an entire ROOM FULL OF REPORTERS), THAT is highly inappropriate, but I’m just a simple caveman…

      • NastyBossetti

In addition, I think it’s appropriate for me to argue with anyone I damn well please. Military rank has fuck-all to do with me.

        • Opiwan

Damn right, as long as nobody is having their rights violated, we SHOULD be arguing when we disagree…

      • FWIW, Lying like that? Is against the Marine code of conduct.
Hence the “No comment, neither confirm nor deny” dance they always do.

        • Perkniticky

He should have said “I can neither confirm nor deny that Trump is a fucking moron” and left it at that. Instead, he decides to shoot his reputation to shit. Not sure why – he must know Trump will throw him under the bus eventually.

          • Sarah E. Grove

Yes, and Kelly will deserve the bus-wheel tracks breaking his nose again (surely it isn’t the nose he was born with? If so, he was a damned ugly baby.)

It took him 46 long years to earn the respect that follows those four stars .. … .. and FIVE MINUTES to lose it all.

            What. A. Stupid. Man!

      • CovfefeOfTheThoughtlessMind

You are so upvoted for the ref to “Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer.”

    • Bitter Scribe

If that four-star Marine general decides to take a job as chief of staff for the biggest piece of shit ever to disgrace the office of POTUS, he’d better be prepared for a lot of “debate.”

    • He is not a general anymore, Fuckabee. HE IS NOT A GENERAL.
He is an appointed CIVIL SERVANT.
We can debate with those fucks all day long

    • Canis Greyhame

Are we questioning his authoritah? How dare we? Clearly, speaking ill of high-ranking military figures is verboten. Off to the re-education camps with us!

    • DuchessD’Orleans

Quite frankly I wouldn’t lower myself to debating with a lying, bigoted traitorous dog such as General Kelly.

    • irishdave3

That would be the country of Arkansas, near Porto Rico but without the Bigly water.

  • azeyote

Kelley all pissed that she was listening in on a call that he was listening in on –

    • Sarah E. Grove

Yep. While SHE is a duly-elected officeholder, HE was appointed by a lying, bigoted piece of shit. He’s no different than his boss — probably even more stupid.

      • irishdave3

Well, he was a Marine for a long time so stupid…, It’s not his fault

  • George

All this because, twice a day, The First Moron is compelled to shout out to the world that his presidential penis is bigger than all the past presidential penises.

Isn’t there a war (or three) on somewhere?

    • redarmyzombie

Considering how badly he fucks everything up, it’s probably best he *doesn’t* pay attention to those…

  • IdiotsforPalin

It appears Sarah Fuckabee woke this morning and drank a glass full of Kelloggs Instant Bitch.

    • redarmyzombie

As opposed to any other morning?

    • Roni Raven

A big bowl of Alpha Bitch serial, perhaps?

    • JAKvirginia

Oh, really? I thought she was a 5-Hour Energy Bitch. Kelloggs, hmm? Maybe I’ve got a coupon.

  • TakingAmes

I hope he liked his credibility while he had it, ’cause he ain’t gettin’ it back!

    • CovfefeOfTheThoughtlessMind

      bingo.

    • Canis Greyhame

It goes with the territory when you agree to work for President Bizzaro Midas.

      • Sarah E. Grove

Kelly deserves all the criticism he’s getting .. … .. and MUCH MUCH more.

  • I can’t believe this is still fucking going on.

  • House0fTheBlueLights

Again, doesn’t matter what the truth is. What matters now is that the news sources that the Drumpfkins follow will not print the actual story, and they will continue to talk about LYING BLACK WOMAN STEALING YOUR MONEEZ!!!111!

  • House0fTheBlueLights

Hey, remember yesterday morning when the president* accused the FBI of treason?

  • renegade500

I particularly loved the part where Kelly said women were sacred. Like, we’re so fucking sacred you can discriminate against us, and pay us less, and not give us the right to vote for the first hundred odd years of the country, and well, y’all get where I’m coming from.

    We are not amused.

    • Sakonyachen

By sacred he means to keep them away from everything. It’s the patriarchy’s dog whistle for incompetence. The reality is they fear the matriarchy will return, and they don’t know how to live in a world where Mad Men is not a HR video.

    • CovfefeOfTheThoughtlessMind

      Don’t forget the sacred raping!!
When we raised our sons we taught them to respect women and men as human beings, and then to adjust according to those humans’ behavior.

    • Canis Greyhame

Yeah, that “back in my day” schtick was thoroughly infused with a certain type of patriarchal, self-righteous bullshit.

      • JohnC44

Let’s not forget that everything in those days was also accomplished in a perpetual year round blizzard and always involved walking up hill in both directions often stark naked. Strange times those were, apparently.

    • Sarah E. Grove

Especially back in the 50’s!! Jeez, women were truly OWNED by men in those years, and trapped in marriages with wife-beaters and adulterers. Oh yes, we were SOOOOO sacred! What a fucking joke.

  • President Moron Dotard (R)

Frederica Wilson spoke the truth in saying the WH is full of white supremacists, and on cue, the tiki torch crowd is triggered. They despise black women being empowered and telling it like it is.

  • disqus_lWwzrwNaw6

John Kelly has a slavish following among the Washington political press, who to insist that “The General” would never exploit the memory of his son for political purposes, a claim that people like Chris Matthews and Maggie Haberman are clinging to rapturously even as John Kelly goes all James Mattoon Scott on the country and shamelessly exploits the memory of his son for political purposes.

John Kelly is proof that in America all things are possible: even a shitty, racist, venomously opportunistic little man can rise to become a four star general.

    • irishdave3

“can rise”? I think you mean typical of 4-Star Generals, almost a necessary qualification IME. Check out the Highway of Death 4-Star on MSDLC for instance, where one of his troops made his bones…Tim McVeigh.

  • Tj McGee Wright

Can Trump and gang go away already? They’ve had their fun.

    • H0mer0

      I misread “gang” as “gulag”.
I agree, I want them all to go away.

  • Rachel Book Harlot

Don’t worry, Guys. Soon we’ll be told Kelly was just kidding. No harm done.

  • Canis Greyhame

Her personality sure does remind me of my sweetheart Grandma, only without the fabulous hats. Why is the Trump regime attacking Grandma?

    • ltmcdies

your grandma must be quite the lady.

    • Toledo Window Box

And she happens to be brilliant, great and good grandma at that. Listen to that speech, it’s easily one of the best I’ve seen.

  • MasRioBravoHombre

I grew up with KKK members in my family. I know racism and racists up close and personal. Every word of Kelly’s attack on Rep. Wilson dripped with the condescending, vitriolic racist hatred I know all too well. The way Kelly can ONLY recall what a lying, loud, self aggrandizing woman Wilson supposedly was is a clear indicator that he listened to not a WORD she actually said. Kelly’s insulting, demeaning description of Wilson actually says TONS more about his racism than it says about Wilson.

    • Toledo Window Box

Anything else in the Kelly attack that tipped you off, felt “wrong”? I find this extremely valuable.

    • Petunia Cat

She wasn’t a doormat so she must be a harridan. This is the kind of man Kelly is. I hope more people start seeing that. Now I really really want him to resign.

  • DuchessD’Orleans

Classic narcissistic smear. Tell a story that didn’t happen to damage person’s credibility. Ignore clear evidence that you are lying about said story with full confidence that your minions will do the same, because they WANT to be given a reason to hate the target.

Okay real talk. I was once the target of a smear campaign like this, and was accused of committing an act of vandalism on a night I was far away out of town. I presented hotel credit card receipts showing that I was out of town. The response was to suggest that I had either fabricated the receipts or driven several hours round trip to vandalize some shit where I live while checked into a hotel two hours away. The people who wanted to hate me convinced themselves either of those things were reasonable to believe.

If people want to hate you, they’ll believe absolutely anything in the face of evidence and reason that gives them a reason to.

    • Petunia Cat

      Very good point. Good illustration.

  • Debra Dassow

A normal human would have simply said “I feel bad that my words were misinterpreted “.

    • Toledo Window Box

Exactly. Go on TV, immediately. Stare into the camera. “I feel awful that in my awkwardness and unfamiliarity with this grave task, I caused grief where it least belonged.” Etc.

This, like everything else he blows, is not complicated.

    • Petunia Cat

      Exactly.

I however still think that he did say something emotionally blank and dismissive. I imagine it as Kelly told him to say this this weird overly macho, stoical thing of “he was surrounded by the best of men when he died”, and Trump muddled it. And then like you say he refused to admit it and apologize made everything a million times worse.

Let’s be clear though, Kelly is a nutbar. He has some of that same ‘I’ll say anything I want and if I’m wrong I’ll pretend I wasn’t and you all just have to swallow it’ attitude as Trump does.

  • DuchessD’Orleans

Rep Wilson’s 2015 speech if Baby Hands had given it:

Thank you thank you. Wow, what a great crowd. What a beautiful crowd. And we’ve got this beautiful new building here, absolutely beautiful. Everyone did such a fine job, and I’ll tell you, this building is going to be named for a couple of fine men, which is something—and the media won’t tell you this, the fake media, fake news—they don’t want, but it was me, you know the FBI came to me and they said we need this building named for these two guys, and we can’t get it done, no one can get it done, so they came to me and they said I was the only one, because really when it comes to buildings, is there anyone better? Is there? No, and that’s why I’m president and they’re not—Obama never named a building—so they’re begging me to help and I say sure yeah I’ll get it done. So I make a couple of calls and do a couple deals, and some people owe me some favors, you know, but I don’t care about that, I just do, you know—so I get it done, and actually it was the fastest, it was the fastest a bill had ever been passed. And everyone was amazed, like how did you get the bill passed so fast? Right? No one thought you could get a bill passed that fast. But I did it. And it was a beautiful bill, just beautiful, and now we got this great big beautiful building with a tremendous name on it—not as good as Trump, right? I mean, no, no it’s not as good, I know, but still, it’s a tremendous name and it’s going to look so great on the building, and the media will say it’s not good or whatever, they won’t report it, because they don’t want you to know, fake media, fake news, but it is, and you can all see, all you beautiful people. Man, what a crowd. Look at the size of this crowd. The fake news wants you to believe that—but can you see the size of this crowd? And everyone so happy. But it’s a beautiful building and tremendous name, and these guys with the names, on the building, just really great, great tremendous guys who really were, you know, but the media won’t tell you that it was the fastest legislation ever passed, they won’t tell you that …

    • Toledo Window Box

      You could be his speechwriter.

      • DuchessD’Orleans

What makes you think I’m not?

    • phoenix00

      If I were a red cap-wearing undereducated over-methed deplorable, I’d applaud that!

  • Toledo Window Box

Thank you, ignoramus Trump, for exposing us to the wonder that is Frederica Wilson.
Other than that, you really should just resign.

    • JohnC44

You spelled “be arrested, convicted, and imprisoned for the balance of your natural life” incorrectly. Happens to the best of us.

    • Maybe

The only thing Trump does well is to serve as a bad example.

  • Freida Peeple

Why was La David Johnson left behind by US Contractors? HMMMMM…let’s look at the pictures of all 4 and see if anything stands out.

  • The Librarian

Who doesn’t lie in Trump’s Calvacade of Clowns? I’ll wait.

  • Babadook

From what I’ve gathered, white conservatives apparently hate Frederica for rocking a cowgirl hat better than they ever did. #HatHaters

  • Odd Jørgensen

I hate when the media keep pussyfooting around with writing shit like “got it wrong”! He fucking lied, end of!

  • Sam the Sham

John Kelly fits right in. Coxshucker to his core.

  • Trollhunter

“…empty barrels making the most noise.”

I’ve never heard a barrel make any noise unless there was something in it or it was punched. Oh, wait…swing away, Kelly.

  • Atomic Rat

    Best watch it guys…

Kelly (EX general Kelly) is about one commercial break away from locking himself in his office, eating the key, charging his machine gun and prattling on about keeping his essences pure and clean…

And not even Peter Sellers can save us now.

  • Bangkok Taxi

Kelly went on to crow about a long tradition of an empty barrel having the most to say. How ironic.
4 star politician. He previous derided politics, but it looks like now he has completely embraced it.

    • Maybe

Kelly is a really big barrel and he’s really empty.

  • Eisenhower_Dwight_D_USA

The extended lie that Kelly told, as well as the lengths he went to avoid using her name (substituting “empty barrel”) was really beyond simply disrespectful’. Representative Frederica Wilson has not just a name, but a title indicating the office she was elected to. Kelly’s disrespect surprised me; I expected better of him. He definitely dipped into the racist edge, and then Doubled DOWN the next day. Conduct unbecoming of a former US Marine General Officer.

Sadly, the distracting racial dog whistles this Trump administration seems to love so much, include: ‘Mexicans’, ‘Chyna Chyna, Chyna’, ‘BLM’, ‘take a knee’, ‘Dakota Access Pipeline’, attacking Gold Star Mothers of Color, Puerto Ricans w/o power, food, or water, as if their calamity and his complete ineptitude and lack of response was THEIR mistake, etc… and now a huge fail in Niger. Meanwhile, we have a Treasonous President who is connected to Putin at the hip.

  • Toledo Window Box

Kelly isn’t half the man Wilson is.

    • Maybe

Kelly is no longer a man. Trump requires that White House employs surrender their testicles at the door.

  • Ducksworthy

Chaff was a word used to describe efforts by the RAF to blind German radar by having aircraft spread clouds of thin flakes of aluminum that would would overwhelm the radar screens with noise. The hateful blather emanating from the Deal Leader is chaff, intended to blind us to the reality of what he is doing. The Clinton “scandals”, from Vince Foster to Benghazi to the newly resurrected Uranium/Clinton Foundation lies were also more chaff blowing in the public discourse. Fox and friends (all of them) are conduits for blowing chaff onto the public airways. After all, if you can’t see what’s going on, how can you object?

  • Maybe

Some veterans are now referring to Kelly as a “Blue Falcon.”

The reference is to the initials. “B” stands for buddies, meaning others in the military services. “F” stands for what Kelly is doing to the Johnson family and, by inference, all families who have lost someone in service.

Kelly actually ended up BFing himself by smearing a Gold Star family and their close friend.

  • John

Hmmm…I wonder if Gen. Kelly is aware that lying is considered “Conduct Unbecoming of an Officer” and is punishable under the Uniform Code of Military Justice?

  • Max Perde

All I know is that there must be a bunch of fat black people wearing goofy looking hats in Florida. Fredhat is a fucked up Obama sphincter mussel.
