Left: Asshole. Right: Adorable man with cute butt who deserves a seat in Congress.

Oh hey, Georgia’s 6th congressional district! Are you feverishly excited for tomorrow’s (Tuesday’s) special election, but just can’t decide whether you want to be represented by an incompetent asshole woman who got fired from a breast cancer foundation for trying to take breast cancer money away from Planned Parenthood, or a hot new guy who’s nice and cute and good and didn’t do that? Can’t decide whether you want a congressperson who literally said with her mouth that she doesn’t support people having a “livable wage,” versus a congressperson who doesn’t say disgusting shit like that? In that case, we have some videos to help you make your final decision!

You guys will enjoy this first video. It is an ad from the “Principled PAC,” and it is almost as good as the earlier ad from the Congressional Leadership Fund that explained how Jon Ossoff is a gay homosexual Kathy Griffin Nancy Pelosi lesbian from San Francisco. This one is about how Jon Ossoff needs to stop murdering Rep. Steve Scalise, with votes:

Isn’t that nice? It starts with an image of Rep. Steve Scalise being wheeled away after he was tragically shot last week. Now, you might think from watching this that Jon Ossoff fired the gun, but in fact he was campaigning in Georgia at the time. Nevertheless, it claims that “the unhinged left is endorsing and applauding shooting Republicans,” which is just simply not true. Good liberals everywhere are hoping and praying for Scalise’s speedy recovery, so he can go back to being a dick in the House of Representatives, hopefully as a colleague of Jon Ossoff.

The ad also shows Kathy Griffin with Donald Trump’s styrofoam head in her hands, because oh boy, that artistic photograph has chapped wingnuts’ asses almost as badly as Piss Christ. It then concludes that we must stop Jon Ossoff, in order to stop Nancy Pelosi, because apparently Nancy Pelosi is the greatest threat to the wealthy Atlanta suburbs that make up GA-06.

Ossoff has of course condemned the ad, saying “I can’t even think about the politics of it. You’ve got a national tragedy that’s united people. There are still people who are in critical condition. It’s got no place in an attack ad.” Meanwhile the Handel campaign was like “OMG U GUYS THAT IS JUST SO BAD, Y’ALL SHOULD JUST STOP,” except that while Handel’s spokes-idiot called the ad “disturbing and disgusting,” she did not call on the wingnut loser PAC to remove its shitty ad, because Republicans tend to split the difference when it comes to being decent fucking human beings.

As we implied in the headline, we have a second Karen Handel video, to help you vote for Jon Ossoff. This time, though, you can just listen to the candidate speak and recoil over what a dumb asshole she is. Handel is talking to a voter who “has the conservative nature,” but also has a gay daughter who probably would like to adopt a kid some day, and she supports her kid. Handel, instead of acting like a human being, tells the woman that “my faith calls me to a different place on that issue,” because apparently her faith is full of ignorant hatred. Of course, this is America, so Karen Handel is free to worship any petty loser god she wants, but should she really be in the House of Representatives?

You would think that video was from like 2006 or something, because who says that out loud anymore? And who says that out loud LAST THURSDAY? Well, Karen Handel does!

Handel adds that she is “compassionate” and tries to convince the woman to vote for her, because the Supreme Court has ruled on marriage equality anyway, and then she gets up and moves away, like she’s scared that the mom of the gay daughter is going to get lesbian sauce all over her unattractive zipper blouse.

In order to cleanse your soul from watching that last video, here is Jon Ossoff speaking at the beginning of the Atlanta Equality March last week:

Anyway, these videos are just very good ads for Jon Ossoff. The latest polls show him a point or three ahead of Karen Handel, but that only matters if people SHOW. THE. FUCK. UP. So get the hell out there and vote, Atlanta suburbs! Otherwise you’ll have to deal with having that gross bigot lady representing you in Congress, and you don’t want that.

Wonkette is fully funded by readers like you, because we ain’t got no ads! If you love us, click below to fund us!

My bet is Ossoff loses even if 100% of voters cast their ballots for him.

    • canes_pugnaces

Ossoff will probably lose, mostly because there are so many people who DO NOT vote. Can’t be bothered.

      • Anna Elizabeth

Oh, I know. We have Mail-in ballots in Colorado, and I always see loads of them in the trash after they are delivered.

        • redblack

          free democratic votes!

    • Proud Liberal

Of course. That’s the Republican way.

      • efoveks

You forgot to right “Russians” with a cross out first.?

        • Three Finger Salute

Well, Georgia is a (former?) Soviet republic.

  • TheFamilyThalamusPersists

Lol, her PAC is titled ” Principled Leadership PAC.”
Choke on it, Handel. With votes, of course.

  • canes_pugnaces

My sister is going door to door for Ossoff. There’s a lot of support. Tons. But in that district, mostly GOP vote. So… maybe the larger question is do progressives and liberals in conservative areas want a permanent GOP and will they vote to prevent that?

    • BearGHAZI

Going door to door to push a candidate seems like the most soul eradicating experience, I could just never. I mean your sis has to be fighting with people all day no? With the political climate such as it is?

      • Skeptical_thinker

This is why god invented mind altering drugs.

      • cmd resistor

I forced myself to do it for Obama and HIllary, but it was late in the game so was mostly a Get out the VOte thing. By then, they didn’t expect to flip people, and the lists they gave us were pretty much registered democrats. I had to force myself because basic introvert. It actually wasn’t that bad.

      • Sedagive ’em Hell

Not only have I done door-to-door, I called “likely-R” voters for Obama.

Believe it or not, most conversations were at least respectful. That was in the before-times though.

      • Celtic_Gnome

I did it many years ago when I was a younger gnome. It’s not so bad in person. People don’t react to others they disagree with in person as they do on the internet. Oh, you may get the occasional asshole, but it isn’t trolls all the way down when there’s an actual physical human standing in front of them.

  • Explody Brain

Ossoff winning is exactly the balm I need to sooth the fucking blistering wounds of life in Trump’s America that are erupting all over my body and at which I can’t stop picking.

(Okay, the wounds are all in my head. Literally. He is making my brain explody.)

  • Skeptical_thinker

Please, Georgians, please to be getting out to vote if you have not done so, yet.

    It is fucking important.

St. Bernie of White Vermont has declared Ossoff not sufficiently pure and progressive. Is it too late to write in Jill Stein?

    • What? When?

      • Spotts1701, Resistance Pilot

A few months ago. He said Ossoff wasn’t sufficiently good enough on economic inequality or somesuch. It was about the same time he was off endorsing that ant-abortion “Democratic” candidate for mayor of Omaha, Nebraska (who lost).

      • alwayspunkindrublic

I read about this like a week and a half ago. The hardcore dead-ender Bernouts are all over social media whinging.

    • Bub, Zombie of the Resistance

Thank heaven for St. Bernie and his progressive purity tests. If it weren’t for them, Donald Trump might have been elected president!

      • alwayspunkindrublic

Don’t get me started. TOO LATE! Grrrr….

    • Marceline

Actually Bernie “endorsed” Ossoff this weekend in a half-hearted statement. I can’t figure out whether he did it to sabotage Ossoff or so he can take credit for a victory if it happens. I suspect the latter because the former would mean he had some self awareness about how his endorsements don’t help.

      • Spotts1701, Resistance Pilot

Well he’s what? 0-for-35 on endorsing “breakaway” candidates from the Dem Establishment?

        • ahughes798

The Dems probably have a worse record. They hate anti-establishment liberal candidates. Not just Bernie, either.

    • Persistent Tennessee Rain

    • MynameisBlarney

      Bernie needs to stfu.

  • Jgb979

I usually try not to get personal with politics unless it’s warranted.

But Karen Handel is just a vile, repulsive individual on both the inside and out.

    And she’s ugly too

Thankfully Osoff is pretty much the polar opposite of that,

  • Jenny

What the hell at that zipper blouse? Was that a new purchase or did she keep all her 80’s clothes?

    • Anna Rompage

It’s for folks who don’t have the mental capacity and dexterity to deal with buttons, not to mention, they were a 2 for 1 at the dollar store…

  • Everrett Fanuelli

Unfortunately, I think the cards are against Ossoff.

    • Proud Liberal

Yeah. Especially when they just purge votes for fun in Georgia.

      • Everrett Fanuelli

There is analysis on Dkos from Nate Cohn. AA and female turnout is down.

Excellent find Everrett. The bottom line here is this is all early vote stats – not good news, but not too late to do something about it. Call up all your GA 6th Congressional friends and offer them rides for tomorrow.

          • Resistance Fighter Callyson

            Thanks for the link.

My take from it isn’t to get discouraged, but rather not to get complacent, which is always a good strategy to have. G
Keep calm and get out the vote, Dems!

    • Marceline

The cards have been against him all along. The fact that the race is close at all is a fucking miracle.

      • Everrett Fanuelli

But the media and GOP won’t walk away with that narrative if Handel wins.

        • NastyBossetti

No, it’ll be more “Democratic party in disarray! How will they ever learn to appeal to voters?!”

    • vivian

  • Robbertjan Brandenburg
    • Indivisible Snark Tank

To be fair, Dampnut couldn’t use Handel’s last name, because then people would realize he was really just endorsing the composer of “Water Music”….and that would be too revealing. Hence, “Karen H.”

  • Ghenghis McCann

Of course, if he’d been a Democrat, she’d be saying Scalise’s shooting was a false flag operation.

  • Spotts1701, Resistance Pilot

    Uh, no we didn’t…

“Liberals are cheering that Rep. Scalise got shot!”
    Uh, no we aren’t…

“Leftists are horribly uncivil and violent!”
Look, why don’t I come back later after you’ve finished yelling at clouds or whatever.

    • Anna Elizabeth

All that matters is the sound bite. I saw a video on youTube yesterday, 2 “Good Christians” saying that white Good Guys w/ Guns took out the “Liberal” and saved Scalise. Truth matters nothing to Rs.

why should they care? . . . look what lying has gotten them.

    • ariel_gee_398

I would be mad at them for conflating the justifiable anger people on the left feel about Republican plans for the destruction of the environment and social safety net and the institution of a massive upward wealth redistribution scheme with calls for violence, but I’m just not sure they’re smart enough to know the different.

      • Bebecca

Hillary lost this district by a hair, but she still lost it. If it’s a close race Ossof might have a slim chance against Handel, but a better candidate than Handel would have a big lead. This district was my home for a long while and it is changing, but there’s still a way to go before I would even call it purple. If any of you are eligable and haven’t already voted, vote.

    • grindstone

Swear to god that woman reminds me of a slightly older girl I was dating when I was a young troop stationed at Ft. Bragg. She was well to do, active in politics (a republican) and wanted me to attend a fancy dinner with her one night. I was an E-4 in the Army and felt out of my element, didn’t have and couldn’t afford the proper attire, etc. She says, “I’ll buy you the best suit if you go with me.” I was like, cool. I went with her, broke it off with her a month later (because psycho) and the girl threatened to sue me for the cost of the suit. I had to call the cops on her one night because she wouldn’t leave the front door of my apartment and she even tracked me down on the phone years later in Hawaii, still wanting money for the suit she bought me for a dinner I never wanted to attend.

    True story.

Ooooo! Now how do you really feel? __ The ultimate insult from a loathsome Rightie Republican and piece of Baggertrash: “Melting Face” Jason Chaffetz chomping of some sour grapes, slams the Trump Dumpster Fire and Confederate General Sessions as he departs:

    [Sunday, June 18th 2017
With just two weeks left in office, Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) took some shots at President Donald Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions in an interview that aired over the weekend.
“The reality is, sadly, I don’t see much difference between the Trump administration and the (Barack) Obama administration,” the outgoing chairman of the House Oversight Committee told Sinclair Broadcast Group.
“In many ways, it’s almost worse because we’re getting nothing, and that’s terribly frustrating and, with all due respect, the attorney general has not changed at all. I find him to be worse than what I saw with Loretta Lynch in terms of releasing documents and making things available. I just, that’s my experience, and that’s not what I expected.”

“We tried to issue subpoenas. We tried to hold people in contempt and the Obama administration said ‘no,’ and the Trump administration came in and did zero,” Chaffetz said. “Nothing. Nothing changed.”]

Thank you. I really needed the help! Ha! I saw Handel on TV talking about how we don’t need Georgia to be run by California. I guess it was a Pelosi thing, maybe an ad that was part of a sort of news story. I lived in GA when that was Newt’s district (although not IN that district!) so would so love to see Ossoff win.

She and the GA GOPukes are giddy over the possible gains they can make from the shooting of Scalise:

“I think the shooting is going to win this election for us,” a Georgia Republican Party chairman said during a rally for Handel Saturday. According to the Washington Post, Brad Carver kept going, indicating this was a good thing to say.

    http://www.salon.com/2017/06/19/georgia-republican-arlington-baseball-shooting-is-good-for-karen-handel/

Meanwhile, Christofascist Handel continues her thoughtful campaign: “I will win because I’m a Republican and I know how to create fear and hate.”

Fuck you Karen Handel, and fuck your faith. You have no right to impose YOUR faith on the people in your district who do not share it, whether they are of a different faith or are not faithful at all. “Separation of Church and State” has always been a basic tenet of the American system of governance, no matter how much the David Bartons of the world mendaciously try to make the case that the United States was established as a theocracy.

OT but another day that ends in Y because freedumbs.

    http://www.mcall.com/news/police/mc-monroe-four-year-old-death-0619-20170619-story.html

A 4-year-old boy shot himself in the face Sunday morning at a
family home in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, state police said.

BentleyThomas Koch, the son of a Freemansburg firefighter, was found about
11:11 a.m. inside the home at 589 Ash Lane, according to troopers. He
was taken to Pocono Medical Center and pronounced dead. Officials said
an autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday at the medical center, Monroe
    County Coroner Robert Allen said.

The boy’s mother is Freemansburg firefighter Lexie Antonini.

“Today one of our firefighters lost a child, and all of us here are at a loss,” the online post from the Freemansburg Fire Company says. “Bentley was a light like no other around our station, always making people smile, he will forever be one of our 12 boys.”

“I never thought I would see the day I would get the news my only son has
passed away,” Antonini said in her own social media post. “I don’t know
how to feel. I don’t know what to do. I lost my everything.”

      • Wild Cat

There are so many illegitimate kids in my ‘hood, yo, that WatchToddlers are a dime a dozen.
Before I go to work, I usually stock up on two or three of them—one for the door, fire escape, etc. They’re well-armed; training’s mediocre, but who cares?
So far, no robberies, and the average WatchToddler works for Gummy bears and Pokemon cards, so it’s affordable.

    • Robbertjan Brandenburg

“I don’t know what to do.”

I don’t want to ad insult to injury but I do know what you should have done and that was making sure a child could never obtain a loaded gun.

      • Wild Cat

We’re not the brightest nation on the block, Robbertjan.

        • Robbertjan Brandenburg

It pretty much hits home when my son of approx. the same age injured himself last week by falling down the stairs. I really need those stairs but I don;t need a gun so I really doubt why any sane person would have one in house. Loaded. Not in a save spot.

          • Wild Cat

            How’s his teeth doing?

          • Robbertjan Brandenburg

He is doing fine but I am a little upset though. We went to see his dentist and he was a little surprised the emergency dentist did not try to save the teeth because according to him they could have been placed back. Not really sure if we want to follow through on any legal actions against the emergency dentist.

          • Wild Cat

I’m suprised too. That young, you’d figure the emergency dentist on call would try to do the best for your child—or any other child. I think you have a strong legal case. Not sure if you have a pro bono system system or a personal-injury pay-only-if-you-win system in the NL.

          • Robbertjan Brandenburg

We have legal assistance insurance here meaning we can get a attorney through insurance with one dial. Did that last year after losing my job and she got me about 10K extra compensation.

          • Wild Cat

That’s a good system. Reason #3,768 I really fucked up in 1993 when I wanted to relocate to the NL but was too chickenshit . . .

          • Robbertjan Brandenburg

And it only costs like 6 euro’s a month. ;) Thing is: even if we do win it is not like we would get a large sum of money like in the USA so we are pretty reluctant to go through the hassle.

          • Wild Cat

What’s more ironic is that the fascists loath “frivolous lawsuits,” but they “elected” the king of frivolous lawsuits to be their fuhrer.

          • Robbertjan Brandenburg

He turns four in 2 months and according to his dentist it could take between three and five years before his adult teeth will grow in and that just really sucks.

          • Wild Cat

Yeah, my niece is 8 and she’s just getting her new teeth in now.

          • jesterpunk

Ok that is a little young, sorry. Can they do anything like give him kid dentures or something?

          • Robbertjan Brandenburg

Nope. That is not possible due to the fact a kid’s jaw is in constant development.

          • Wild Cat

The GOP just does that remotely . . .

          • Vagenda of Rebel Scum

There aren’t many random home invasion robberies. They happen, but they’re rare. They usually involve someone who knows the people living there.

          • Robbertjan Brandenburg

            exactly.

          • MizzMazz

There were loads of home burglaries in my old rural neighborhood, which was a pretty well off type of country living. They watch and make notes of when the houses are empty. People are at work, kids are at school, and there’s no point in having an alarm system, because when the police finally get there, the thieves are long gone.

          • Covfefe

Where I live, most burglaries occur between 2:30 and 4:30 in the afternoon.

          • Predisenting Ron

Yup. Most common time pretty much everywhere. It’s the one time of day that a burglar can figure NOBODY’S home.

          • Covfefe

No. It’s when school lets out.

      • TJ Barke

That’s crazy talk. Why do you hate freedumb?

    • proudgrampa

Sorry, but it’s really difficult to be sympathetic with A MOTHER WHO LEFT HER GUNS OUT AND UNLOCKED!!!

      • Predisenting Ron

I’m sad for the mother. I’m heartbroken for her child.

    • Vagenda of Rebel Scum

I hate these. I can’t imagine anything worse than losing a child, and I can think of a few careless moments where I could have lost one of mine. But this was not an act of God- it was an act of carelessness.
Why fucking why do these people have to leave loaded guns sitting around the house? Are they in a witness protection program? Being pursued by a drug cartel? What could possibly justify this?

      • Skeptical_thinker

They should be in a witless protection program.

        • JAKvirginia

          Or a witless prosecution program.

      • jesterpunk

I have heard from gun owners that having to lock up their guns or store them securely means they will be murdered in their sleep when Obama comes to take their guns. So they have to leave loaded guns unsecured all over the house and under the pillow for easy access anywhere.

        • Predisenting Ron

If it were anything but a gun there’d be people thinking ‘paranoid schizophrenic.’ But when it’s a gun they think, ‘home defense, prudent.’
Sit Terry was right, guns can take over your mind. (cf Men At Arms)

      • Dr. Rrrrrobotnik

That did enrage me a bit, her passive voice “passed away.” Your son shot himself in the face with a gun that you or someone else left out. That gun didn’t magically apparate, someone is responsible for your son’s death.

      • Resistance Fighter Astraea

An exhausted parent leaving a kid in a hot car is carelessness.

Owning a gun, keeping it loaded, and leaving it in a place where a toddler can get it is negligence.

        • Indivisible Snark Tank

But what if the tyrannical gubmint had chosen just that moment to come knocking at his door?

In all seriousness, though (and having known one of those careless parents, and he’s still a shattered shell of a man), I can’t agree more. I’d go so far as to say “criminal negligence”.

        • Dr. Rrrrrobotnik

Legally speaking, it’s negligent homicide. But it’s rarely prosecuted because the family has “suffered enough,” even though kids dying in unsupervised pools or locked cars are commonly prosecuted. It’s the same general belief about guns, that they’re just bolts from heaven and that nothing can be done.

        • Vagenda of Rebel Scum

i can see your point. A knife left on the counter, a door to the swimming pool you forgot to lock, a car seat you thought you installed properly- those are careless and tragic but unintentional. A loaded gun deliberately left on the nightstand when there are small children because omg somebody is coming is negligence.

      • Juan de Fuca

I still feel a tinge of guilt over letting my young daughter run down one of the sand dunes at Whitesands, NM at full speed. Poor thing tripped up midway and went belly down to the parking lot. Her ribs were scraped up pretty good but I told her just before she made her move – don’t run down that!!

        *Okay, she’s running down.*

One thing I’ve never done is leave a loaded firearm in our home and I also taught her how to shoot when she was younger. That would’ve been child neglect in our book. Guns are loaded at the range and unloaded and function checked for being unloaded at the range before going home. I’ve always went a step further and kept the bolts removed from our rifles but that’s just me because I’m admittedly a safety freak.

Err, alcohol and muscle relaxants are a HUGE deal. As in ‘Two great tastes that DON’T taste great together.’ Understandable, yes, but still dangerous.

          • FukuiSanYesOta

Yeah, and oxycodone, and other drugs. At the same time. Board melted down a bit yesterday and Dok got a medical team to the dude”s house.

Acting like it ain’t no thing by suttree is kinda pissing me off.

          • Predisenting Ron

There’s a kind of mindset that one finds here and there. I have it too. When I chewed off the ends of two fingers on a table saw, I ran them under cold water, wrapped them with bandaids and masking tape, then FINISHED THE JOB I WAS WORKING ON before going to emerg to haver them stitched up. It’s kinda counter-survival, but it happens.

    • Zippy W Pinhead

damn, I can actually read this post…

    • Spotts1701, Resistance Pilot

You aeten’t dead. Good. Try to keep it that way, okay?

      • Suttree

I am just fine. There is a cure for everything. It happens to involve all of my stuffed animals.

        • Covfefe

          Pix or it doesn’t happen.

        • Predisenting Ron

          It’s always been MY go-to.
Glad you’re okay, man. You had a LOT of folks worried for you.

          • Suttree

I did not mean to. I was just in pain, that needed to be taken care of.

          • Predisenting Ron

Oh, I know it was accidental. You’re weird (in a good way) but sensible enough to know better. And yeah, excruciating pain has a way of… dominating our attention. But you still need to be cautious. ‘Kay?

I have been wondering what the population of blue states were. I am not going to include those many tiny liberal bastions in red states.

Hmm, no Virginia. Obama twice, Hillary in 16. Gov, Lt. Gov. AG, two U.S. Senators.

      • Three Finger Salute

I saw a meme the other day of a world map with America highlighted as “Freedom” and literally every other country as “Communism” to show how insular and paranoid Americans are. I think it’s similar to the one that shows Russia captioned as “Russia” and every other country as “Not Russia” and therefore fair game. No wonder they’re our BFFs now.

      • reelreeler

So how did “dumbfuckistan” come about, and what can be done to change it? I’d suggest that progressive/liberal/democrat voters start giving a shit about their local and state governments. I live in Missouri and most of my left-ish friends can’t name their state legislature representative or senator. Sure they show up to vote in general elections, but republicans show up to vote in every damned election, and that’s why most states are under republican control….and it’s also how congressional districts get drawn in their favor.

    • Covfefe

I live on the border of GA-06 in GA-04 and I can’t wait for this campaign to be over and for Karen Handel to GO AWAY again. Yeah, I expect her to lose. She is toxic.

      • Popillius

omgosh me, too – I’m in GA-13 and a former resident of GA-06 (for decades – its a miserable overpopulated area now). Cannot WAIT for this to be over. It’s a nail biter and I don’t trust the voting machines here at all.

Karen Handel: “I’m not aware of anything in the law, right now that I’m aware of, that’s gonna be impactful from a discriminatory standpoint …”

    https://twitter.com/RandPaul/status/746022114042478592

  • Handel, instead of acting like a human being, tells the woman that “my faith calls me to a different place on that issue,” because apparently her faith is full of ignorant hatred.

Too bad she doesn’t realize that her would-be job (to serve the needs and well-being of all her constituents) calls her to a “different place” as well. I guess we learned nothing from the Kim Davis debacle, have we?

    • Bebecca

Yes Christians pick and choose the precepts of their faith they want to agree with.

      • laineypc

As a public servant in a country that does not have an established religion, your faith should not be calling you to a policy decision that impacts people who do not share your faith.

Joe Biden managed to be personally against abortion, but not translate that to a law everyone is required to follow. Separation of church and state, lady, and also not EVERY fucking thing needs to be bounded by law, especially that which is motivated by religious sentiment.

    • Popillius

Not only that but what relevance does her personal faith have in the private life of her constituents? Isn’t there a constitutional amendment that prohibits her from legislating her faith onto other people?

  • Robyn Ryan

Hey bitch.. The Supreme Court declared abortion a protected civil right, too

  • MAZS

I’d like to say she is distorting “her faith”—but she represents a very large swathe of Christians who think likewise.

    • phoenix00

Said large swathe of “Christians” have distorted their faith far out of proportion.

      • MAZS

        Have you read the Bible?

Enough of it to see which parts are the decent parts that everyone should follow, and which parts are full of utter shit.

  • The latest polls show him a point or three ahead of Karen Handel, but that only matters if people SHOW. THE. FUCK. UP. So get the hell out there and vote, Atlanta suburbs! Otherwise you’ll have to deal with having that gross bigot lady representing you in Congress, and you don’t want that.

If not that, then do it to prevent another round of patronizing finger-wagging Dem-shaming articles that will tourture us all if Ossoff loses. Do you really want to put up with the journalistic equivalent of this?:

  • Ω cynmac will never surrender

The other “scandal” on Handel is the reports of chemicals being sent to her and her neighbors in the mail. The chemical – baking soda. And multiple mailings were intercepted and the crime is being investigated by the FBI.
    https://patch.com/georgia/roswell/suspicious-package-found-near-karen-handels-home

    • SisterArtemis

I hate the idea of her being anywhere close to a seat of power, but that is so very wrong. Don’t fuck with people like that, whoever the hell you are, because two wrongs etc etc etc, and also, they go low, we go high is maybe the more ethical path, and also too, don’t fuck with people’s families, friends, and neighbors, no matter what kinds of assholes they are.

      • Ω cynmac will never surrender

The letters are postmarked from SC, which is extreme Red State. Some RWNJ probably thought they were “helping”.

      • Popillius

Yeah that sounds like classic ratf*cking.

  • Bitter Scribe

Yeah, the abortion issue was “settled” by the Supreme Court decades ago, but that hasn’t stopped right-wing fuckheads from screaming and bitching about it, and trying to undermine it, every day. That’s why it’s important to keep them away from Congress.

    • Rotting Tree

Riiight, please bear with me on this as i’m from a whole ‘nother part of the Free World, but didn’t the Grand Ole Godbotherers refuse to ratify President Obama’s nominee for the Supreme Court so that they could stack the bench with GopBot noms thus paving the way to overturn any and all legislation they believe makes Babby Jeezus cry? If so, then why does Ms I-Don’t-Own-An-Iron keep saying “Supreme Court” in a manner that implies legislation is immutable?

I like Handel in that she is one fucking clueless puppet of the Koch Brothers who won’t see much of a dividend on their investment. Typical outmoded Rethuglicon rhetoric: hate the poor, the gays, women, and most of all, blacks. Exploit a tragedy and hide it all neatly away behind some bullshit faith. please don’t freak out if Ossoff doesn’t win today. it is not the determinator for the mid-terms…the loss that is…because in this deeply red state the fact it is neck and neck should give Republicans a pause….not Democrats.
