    “Evil Losers”??

    Can’t he just “You’re Fired(TM)” them?

  • Fifth-and-a-Half Element

No loser. No loser. You’re the loser.

  • Scooby

Update from China. They are now sure Asian- Pacific region is theirs. And pro-democracy forces destroyed by Trump. In lighter news, food still good.

  • Gayer Than Thou

Every couple of days, I am glad no one around me is telling me that Hillary and Twitler were, you know, basically the same. Because punching people in the face is against the law in most jurisdictions.

    • DrBigHead

There are days, however, when I sincerely believe it would be a fair trade.

    • Magyar Has Had It With Trump

At this point, I think you could successfully a stand your ground defense in most jurisdictions.

  • Anna Elizabeth, Tank Grrl

I now believe the GOP want to foment a revolution. It’s the best explanation that fits the evidence of their evil.

  • OneYieldRegular

Paul Ryan understands your confusion about employer-sponsored health coverage under TrumpCare/RyanCare/McConnellCare/WealthCare, just know that you will not afford health insurance, but you will have access.

Notice to tenants: We the landlords will be diverting water from your apartment’s water supply, but some of it will go into that fetid puddle out by the garbage cans, so you will still have access to water.

  • Khavrinen

“Trump opined that he thinks peace in the Middle East is, like, super-bigly close, you can’t even believe it. So close. Very Peace. Wow.”

Are we sure he said “peace” this time, and not “peach”?

    • Very peach. So Butt. Much East. Wow in the Middle.
      https://t2.kn3.net/taringa/0/A/2/4/A/8/Ke_Lokuras/BF2.jpg

    • Old Man Yells at Cloud

There will be so much peace that we will become tired of all the peace!

    • Indivisible Snark Tank

Best line from Colbert last night was that ‘Murica should be happy about the “peach” typo, cuz we love everything that has “peach” in it: peach cobbler, peach ice cream….IMpeach….

  • Bill D. Burger
  • Gayer Than Thou

I am totally going to get a lion cub while I’m in Spain. They make the best pets!

    • MynameisBlarney

I’d get an anaconda or some large exotic lizard and then release into the wild once I become bored with it.

      • Kiri the Unicorn

You’re in Florida: don’t dangerous & exotic fauna just show up in your back yard?

        • MynameisBlarney

          Yes.

        • Magyar Has Had It With Trump

My sisters-in-law keep having alligators show up in their back yard. And then act hurt when I tell them I will never visit them at their new house.

        • bupkus231

Local fishwrapper this morning: Alligator removed from front porch of home in suburban village….

      • persistently_resistant_gayby

I’d pay a lot of money to release them into 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

On second thought, that creature might fit in well with the other reptiles in the WH.

      • The American way!

    • I keep hearing about guys who pose with tiger cubs on Tinder, but I don’t use Tinder.

      • Me not sure

Be careful. Those guys will bite you!….Wait,… the tigers,… I meant the tigers.

      • NastyBossetti

I once slept with a guy who sent me a pic of himself holding a tiger cub. This was way before Tinder existed, though. He was clearly ahead of his time.
(Although I have to say I didn’t do it because of the tiger cub. And also, I regret nothing.)

      • OddMan

Do not go and look up [Tigers of Tender] on Google Image search.

    • Shoto

I want one of those babby lions for a pet. And, of course, for perimeter security in Drumpf’s MAGA Murica too, also.

    • Khavrinen

I thought we were voting for leopards?

    • Magyar Has Had It With Trump

I didn’t realize they were native to Spain

  • Randy Riddle

I’m opening my browser this morning wondering what fresh hell the glowing orb has thrust upon the world today.

  • JMP

But Trump promised he’d help the working class, why now that his budget is designed to destroy their lives it almost seems like that man was not telling the truth!

    • Red Bird Ω

Maybe not. As long as there is the chance of “the others” doing worse or at least as bad, no one will care.

    • Msgr_MΩment
      • arglebargle

Should be 1A. 1B?. Low energy. Sad.

    • Me not sure

Ya know? I bet if all those guys were in a room together you would need a really strong air freshener. The fish guy and mummy alone would probably drive you out of the place.

      • Msgr_MΩment

        Upfisted twice.
Now how often can you get to do that?

        • Me not sure

And the great thing about it is , that caption works as well for a picture of Trump’s cabinet.

    • Me not sure

Ya know? I bet if all those guys were in a room together, you would need a really strong air freshener. The fish guy and mummy alone would probably drive you out of the place.

      • I read a theory once where they thought The Wolfman would be extremely stinky and farty due to the human side digesting all the yeechy stuff the wolf side ate the previous nigh, and the wolf side digesting the human side’s lovely kale and broccoli salad it had for lunch..

        • Me not sure

Well thought out, if you ask me.

  • “Evil, violent fundamentalist losers… totally unlike the guys I spent all weekend with.”

    • Khavrinen

“Or the ones who voted for me.”

  • CogitoErgoBibo

Crap. MSNBC is reporting Bond-guy Roger Moore has died.

    • Anna Elizabeth, Tank Grrl

      Damn. Farewell, 007. :(

      R.I.P.

      • Gayer Than Thou

It won’t truly be farewell 007 until Connery goes. For me, he is first, last, and always Bond.

        • Anna Elizabeth, Tank Grrl

Connery is my favorite, too. Moore had his charm, and I’m impressed by Craig.

          • Gayer Than Thou

Daniel Craig can get it. Shaken, stirred, or any other way he wants it. But, yes, his Bond movies are good too.

          • Anna Elizabeth, Tank Grrl

xD I am actually most impressed by what a cold-eyed killer Craig portrays. He reminds me most of the character in the Ian Fleming novels, I was addicted to the novels as a teenager.

          • persistently_resistant_gayby

Daniel Craig is one FIIIIIIIIIIIIINE looking man ;)

And I probably knew I was gay after seeing Sean Connery shirtless.

          • Anna Elizabeth, Tank Grrl

            xD

        • CogitoErgoBibo

Connery is my favorite Bond, too. But Moore was pretty damned good.

          • Doug Langley

Anyone who could follow Connery and not get laughed off the screen is pretty impressive.

          • Msgr_MΩment

Apparently Moore was their first choice, but they picked Connery because he was unavailable.

        • Courser_Resistance

Connery was way too hairy for me as a pre-teen. I thought he was pretty repulsive-looking man. He’s far better looking as an older man. NOW I see the sexy in him. But when he was young? Ick.

    • Just saw that. He was my favorite BECAUSE he was so campy.

      • Anna Elizabeth, Tank Grrl

Not my favorite, but I greatly enjoyed his movies. Moonraker is so over-the-top that it is AWE-sum, and has one of favorite Bond Theme songs.

      • Msgr_MΩment

Shtop it. There can be only one.

        • Anna Elizabeth, Tank Grrl

Do you she the beasht, Mish Moneypenny?

      • Robbertjan Brandenburg

I loved his appearance in Austin Powers.

      • Anna Elizabeth, Tank Grrl

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gDboKGn-Sw

Where are you? Why do you hide?
Where is that moonlight trail that leads to your side?
Just like the Moonraker goes in search of his dream of gold
I search for love, for someone to have and hold
I’ve seen your smile in a thousand dreams
Felt your touch and it always seems
        You love me
        You love me

        R.I.P., Sir Roger :(

        • I grew up with Roger Moore being James Bond and he’ll always be THE James Bond to me.

          • Anna Elizabeth, Tank Grrl

:) As we note the passing of Sir Roger Moore, we are all sharing fond memories of his films, of sharing the movies with family and friends, of how dashing he was in a tuxedo – there are far worse legacies to leave behind, I’d say.

            Well Done, 007. :)

          • Courser_Resistance

            Same here. Plus The Saint!

    • persistently_resistant_gayby

      Fuck.

      R.I.P Roger Moore.

My best times were watching the James Bond movies as a five year old with my dad at my side. :)

      • Anna Elizabeth, Tank Grrl

        ~hugs~

      • Mary Theresa

You just brought back fond memories of my dad and I watching The Saint together with your statement.

        • persistently_resistant_gayby

I think once my semester is done, I should binge watch all the James Bond movies.

Just so that I stop feeling homesick.

      • Robbertjan Brandenburg

Same here. It was always a joy to go to the videostore and pick which one I wanted to see.

        • persistently_resistant_gayby

My dad used to record the movies onto videotapes when they used to come on QTV for later viewing! (Back in 1999, those movies would appear on public television in Qatar, so my dad would set alarms just to start recording!)

          I miss my dad badly.

    • Doug Langley

He also played The Saint on tv. (My dad said George Saunders was better)

    • Mpeg

I’m pretty sure I read he was the last featured guest celebrity to host The Muppet Show when it concluded its regular network run – – 1980something? RIP~

  • La forza del resistino

To all you housebound Americans, say buh bye to Meals on Wheels but enjoy your new Papa John’s pizza delivery vouchers. Stay away from the cheese stuffed crust though. It is gross.

    • “Cheese Stuffed Crust” is once again a pre-existing condition.

      • Gayer Than Thou

Rats! Because I ran out of the cream and it was just starting to work.

    • Rick Hill

*delivery vouchers are worth 10% off and do not include added sales taxes which negate 10% discount

    • Courser_Resistance

Most of Papa John is gross.

BREAKING NEWS: yesterday agreed with summer camp to teach part time afternoons. She will email offer to me. I wait . . . and wait . . . and wait.

Today phone her. She tells she’s still interviewing other candidates, don’t know about schedule, what would be convenient for me, blah blah blah. Will email or phone me (I think).

The fucking school starts next week!!!! I can’t get a lesson plan or anything until after I accept the offer in writing!!

    • Anna Elizabeth, Tank Grrl

      Hang tough, Doug. Ima sorry.

      • Doug Langley

I’m serious thinking I might not even have a job at all. This is VERY unusual behavior for a hiring manager.

    • persistently_resistant_gayby

That fucking sucks. Why are they doing this to you, Doug… :/

      • Doug Langley

I’m waking up in the morning just shaking from the stress. For the past few weeks.

        • persistently_resistant_gayby

          That is fucking awful.

I hope it still turns in your favor.

    • Why get worked up about a part-time, temporary position? You got better choices. Trust me. 😁

      • Doug Langley

At the moment, that’s the ONLY offer I have.

      • Doug Langley

Because when she gave me the verbal offer, it was for full time. When I accepted the next day, she suddenly walked it back to a part time. Now I can’t get any info out of her what she want.

      SNOWFLAKE AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Michael Smith

Well, Fox News ratings will improve with the Manchester attack. I looked at Facebook last night shortly after it happened, and comments to news articles from every site were saying “None of the news stations are covering this, because they are so focused on Trump-Russia! Fox is the only one covering it!”

And, suspiciously, on several articles I noticed a person saying “Why aren’t any of the news stations providing coverage of this?” and a person responding “FOX did.” This exact exchange on several websites, with dozens of likes for the comments so that they are near the top.

An unorthodox advertising campaigning maybe? Fox oughtta be careful, or I might think they are capable of staging their own terrorist attacks in order to draw viewers.

    • snark-lurker

I didn’t watch MSNBC after the boom cuz they were nuttin but the same-0 same-o over & over again until bedtime–I know this cuz i kept checking back and one of the same three vid’s they had was running in a constant loop.

      • Michael Smith

Well according to Fox’s agents on Facebook, there was a media blackout except for brave little Fox.

        • snark-lurker

Liar liar pants of fire x eleventy-five millions.

They’ve never been ones to let reality get in the way of making a point.

So I guess I hallucinated Anderson Cooper going on about the attack when I flipped on the TV.

        • Magyar Has Had It With Trump

GMA hasn’t had a single Kardashian story this morning

        • snark-lurker

So they would have you believe.

      • Courser_Resistance

Agreed. I did the same thing. When there’s no new news, it’s just lots of talking heads expounding on their own messages. I like Malcom Nance, but hours of him yakking with other talking heads isn’t terribly interesting to me.

    • An unorthodox advertising campaigning maybe?

      Fancy name for Propaganda.

    • Bemused Australian

Except the part where it was getting wall to wall coverage all over the place? Fox love that ‘nobody else is covering this’ line so much that they spend more time using it than actually covering anything.

      • Michael Smith

On Facebook right now Fox is still pushing the idea that they are the only news outlet that cared enough about this attack to stop talking about Trump-Russia for a second. I mean, Fox itself isn’t running a story that says it specifically, but the comments (which is really what people read) are full of “and can you believe that CNN, MSNBC and the others just kept on talking about Trump Russia “collusion”??? Guess they don’t care about the people that died.”

These days, it would be almost stupid not to hire your own commenters if you’re a political campaign. Which is what Fox News is. A 24/7/365 political campaign.

    • bupkus231

Who says all trollbots are Russian? Some are clearly corporate shills…

  • janecita

    OT, Roger Moore passed away.

Yes. No matter wear he ranks in one’s personal list of 007s, he was a fantastic (and insanely sexy) Simon Templar.

        • therblig

that is how I choose to remember him. sadly, his 007 was a victim of the campy times in which they were made. but, omg, how i wanted a volvo p1800.

        • Courser_Resistance

For sure! I was too young to really think sexy thoughts about him, but damn, he looked so good, the accent, the dry humor… yeah, got me right in my kid-crush.

    • MynameisBlarney

      Damn.
      RIP Mr. Moore.

Maybe not the best Bond, but he was in a couple of the best Bond movies.

Oh, I guess in Stockholm from your post.

        • Robbertjan Brandenburg

Every Dem needs to push back against the Rethuglican weasel words of “access to,” as in “access to affordable healthcare,” or “food,” or “jobs.”

Just because I can walk into Columbia Presbyterian doesn’t mean I can afford $300K for heart surgery. Just because I can walk into Morton’s doesn’t mean I can afford a $100 steak. Just because I can walk into Google doesn’t mean they’ll hire me as a $150K developer.

Hasn’t anyone learned from Frank Luntz? If you frame the words, you frame the issue.

  • DrBigHead

That twit David Brooks once again does not fail to disappoint in another twisted attempt to place the blame for the “angry voters” at the foot of progressives. He blames in part a college educated elite :

“…that crashes the hammer of political correctness down on anybody who does not have faculty lounge views.”

I am so goddamn tired of the right’s use of the term “politically correct”. It seems to me that the politically correct positions that the right is railing against are issues of basic human rights, or a convenient excuse for behaving like an asshole. No it is not OK to deny entire classes of people the rights they take for granted because they clash with your own sensibilities. Christ, that is why we have a Bill of Rights in the first place. If left to the will of the “people”, I am confident that many of the rights we all take for granted would start dropping like flies.

    • Msgr_MΩment

OTOH, labeling your opponent as using “political correctness” is easier than thinking.

    • Wild Cat

Why do you read the dogfucker? Or 99.9% of what’s in that dogfucking rag?

      • Ya know, spending a few hours on a Sunday reading the NYT while hungover used to be a great weekly pleasure… used to be.

        • Wild Cat

Yeah, I used to get a thrill watching them dress up 8-year-olds in whore-painted faces for high-fashion ads. (A forgotten NYT scandal from the late 1980s.)

      • Lance Thrustwell

Brooks has marital relations with canines? I knew there was something off about that guy…

        • Wild Cat

In his case, the canines are happy not to use their vaginal-squeeze abilities to ensure all his BrooksSplooge inseminates them . . . they are smart animals, unlike Brooks.

            nasty

      • DrBigHead

        I don’t know.

    • These fuckers cry because nobody feels like giving them a cupcake when they abuse already marginalized people.

    • Lance Thrustwell

What irritates me most about the trope of ‘political correctness’ being to blame for Democratic losses in 2016 (and in other circumstances) is that actual incidences of ludicrous P.C. overreach – think partisan-based ‘safe spaces’ on college campuses, for example, or counseling being offered following an unpopular speaker – are in fact very much exceptions to the rule and are statistically insignificant. But they are held up as representative, much like domestic Muslim terrorists are held up to somehow be representative of American Muslims as a group.

      • shivaskeeper

Simple logical fallacy of comparing your worst to my best to prove my point.

    • alwayspunkindrublic

Brooks is another wealthy, entitled asshole-like George Will-who pretends to have a magic pipeline to the pulse of goober America; he’s been whitesplaining and rationalizing their vindictiveness and racism for years. These dickheads are more responsible for Trump than the worst fucking redneck out there

    • bupkus231

railing against “political correctness” == “a convenient excuse for behaving like an asshole”

I’ve had this identity demonstrated to me many, many times.

      • shivaskeeper

This.^^ This right here. It has nothing to do with anything other than no wanting to be called out for being an asshole.

        • YoBunnyBunny

Which is a remarkably ironic need, considering that they want to call everybody else the worst names in the book but can’t suffer being called an asshole–even when they preface their comments with “I know this may make me sound like an asshole…”

Yes, you damn Cleetus, you sound like an asshole, now get over it!!!!

          • shivaskeeper

I think it goes hand in hand with the fundamental misunderstanding of the 1st Amendment that most of them have. They have no idea what free speech as outlined in the Amendment is about. They tend to think it means they get to say whatever they want, whenever they want, with no repercussions, and everyone around them has to listen attentively.

          • YoBunnyBunny

And also too, they think we encourage dialogue from minority/non-mainstream viewpoints for some contrarian purpose and that we’re just trying to fill some quota of different perspectives. This is why they think, “I have a different opinion, why won’t you listen to me, hennnnghh???” They miss that part that our liberal, humanitarian society is under no obligation to give equal footing bigoted hate speech.

      • Red Bird Ω

And it never works in the reverse.

    • coozledad

“anybody who does not have faculty lounge views”

I always thought boning someone 1/4 your age was the definition of a “faculty lounge view.”

    • YoBunnyBunny

There are many things that I probably don’t have “faculty lounge views” of: epidemiology of infectious diseases in developing countries; radioactive decay and terrestrial microbiology; the nature of tonal acoustic phenomenon…

Nevertheless, my ignorance of all those things is not a sufficient defense when said faculty endeavor to enlighten me. Yes, I’d like for them to be kind to me when telling me I’m wrong but if I’m going to be wrong and A Idiot, I deserve whatever scorn I get.

So then he got this round of applause and was about to walk off stage but had to turn around and comment tackily about the applause. I can’t even remember what he said but as usual his focus was on people clapping for him, not whatever supposedly serious subject he’d been speaking on.

Come on, people. Let’s get busy impeaching this motherfucker. Let’s start by firing his enablers in Congress and throwing his associates in the slammer. Let’s get to it!

      • From Russia with Love

Start with Flynn. The Army could actually court martial him if they had a mind to. The UCMJ applies to retirees as well as active duty types.

        • Magyar Has Had It With Trump

I’ve been told several times that the UCMJ doesn’t apply to Flag Officers Or any officers, depends), but have been too lazy to look it up.

          • From Russia with Love

Article 2 of the Uniform Military Code of Justice (UMCJ) states that just about everyone is subject to the provisions of the code. The list goes on and on, but item 4 is germane I believe.

            Article 2
Subsection (a). The following persons are subject to this chapter:
            (1) Members of a regular component of the armed forces, including those awaiting discharge after expiration of their terms of enlistment; volunteers from the time of their muster or acceptance into the armed forces; inductees from the time of their actual induction into the armed forces; and other persons lawfully called or ordered into, or to duty in or for training in, the armed forces, from the dates when they are required by the terms of the call or order to obey it.

            (2) Cadets, aviation cadets, and midshipmen.

            (3) Members of a reserve component while on inactive-duty training, but in the case of members of the Army National Guard of the United States or the Air National Guard of the United States only when in Federal service.

            (4) Retired members of a regular component of the armed forces who are entitled to pay.

          • shivaskeeper

The UCMJ certainly applies to flag officers. They get more leeway than the rest of us did, but it applies. I would also say the UCMJ applies more to retired flag officers than is does to me as a retired enlisted.

All regulations and the UCMJ apply to all Soldiers in the the Army. It’s just there aren’t many people above the generals to tell them to unfuck themselves.

          • Magyar Has Had It With Trump

Fucking liars. I thought it was similar, but called something else. But I’m a military brat, I didn’t serve.

          • shivaskeeper

I know where the misunderstanding comes from, I bet. AR 670-1, Wear and Appearance of Army Uniforms and Insignia. There is a little blurb in there about the regulation not applying to the Generals of the Army and the Chief of Staff. General of the Army is an official rank, but it’s not really used anymore so that becomes twisted into Generals in the Army. It’s one of those untruths that everyone knows is true.

With that being said officers in general and Generals in particular get far more leeway than everyone else. It’s a holdover from when officers were from the aristocracy and enlisted were the dregs of society. Like I said, the flag ranks are pretty rarefied. There aren;t many people above them to tell them to straighten up.

Alright, time to call it a night.

    Have fun, lovelies <3

    Lions are cute :)

I hope Seth Rich’s family sues the f*** out of Hannity…. with votes. For real dollars. Just like Chobani and Comet went after Alex Jones. I hope they do.

I listened to Trump say he wanted to tighten libel laws. Well maybe its time people start using the libel laws on the books and go after some of these people. I heard a newspaper went after a republican for calling them “fakenews” in Colorado. Good. Its time.

A sign of the times: scrolling down, my cursor SPED to the lion cub video.

Fox News is imploding? I have a suggestion that might help: report actual facts instead of lies and propaganda.

    • An Outhouse for the Resistance

Then they would be the same as all the other loser news outlets.

    • Stop raping women might be a good motto!

    • Marla

Then what will they do with all that free time?

      • Boscoe

        Run cartoons?

        • Marla

          …but that’s the problem…they are cartoons.

    • Yr. Gma

I think maybe it’s more a case of the viewers dying off without new morans to replace them. The younger generation of wingnuts has the Internet for its fake news source.

    • WotsAllThisThen

But they would lose what’s left of their viewership!

    • phoenix00

Are any of them capable of even that?

  • cmd resistor
    • BearDeLaOursistance

Huh. I was going to say “Sebastian Venable”.

  • An Outhouse for the Resistance

Funny, drone strikes that result in massive civilian casualtiers are not refrred to as “cowardly” and “callous.” There isn’t a moral equivalence per se but the reality is not much different.

    • Bitter Scribe

To be fair, drone strikes have military targets and/or try to eliminate terrorist leaders. What is the military value of an Ariana Grande concert?

      • An Outhouse for the Resistance

That’s why I said they weren’t morally equivalent. Wedding parties aren’t military targets nor are houses and villages but that seems to be what is getting blown up.

        • Hey Terrorists gotta live somewhere and they like marrying sex slaves, so…?

        • Bitter Scribe

Wedding parties are blown up by mistake. Concerts are blown up on purpose.

Yes, yes, it doesn’t matter to the people who get killed, or their loved ones. But you’re damn right they’re not morally equivalent.

  • Marla

Families are grieving, some don’t know if they will ever see their children again, people are in a state of panic, shock, and despair and all this F A T, bloated, orange cocksucker can say is empty rhetoric on a third grade reading level?

      I’m almost shocked he didn’t blame Hillary/Obama

    Roger Moore died.

    • Jonny On Maui

      NOOOOOO!!!!

    • HorseChestnut

The press keeps calling him “Generation X’s Bond.” This is… not the case.

    • Yr. Gma

Oh dear. He wasn’t so old, was he?

        • Yr. Gma

I guess I pay a lot of attention.

    • Hardly Ideal

Well, we did expect you to die, Mr. Bond. Just not like this.

(I know, wrong Bond, but hey)

      Oh, no…
Maybe that was the disturbance in the Force I felt (and yes, I know, wrong franchise.)

    • phoenix00

      /SIR/ Roger Moore to you!

I can visit the local Ferrari dealership (actually, it’s 90 miles away), I have access to buy a Ferrari, but… (turns pockets inside-out, finds only lint) I will not afford it.
