Putin has a secret tape of him too, also?

    • Alternative Pony Ron

His busy having his new dascha built on the Black Sea. He doesn’t have time for any of this ‘government’ or ‘politics’ nonsense.

  • Monsieur_Grumpe

If this is how running government like a business works I am not impressed. Putin’s Poodle has got to go.

    • Dudleydidwrong

We now know that Smith’s “invisible hand” is Putin’s and it’s up Trump’s ass. When I read Smith in college-stuff I musta missed that chapter. And nobody mentioned a poodle. My diplomas aren’t worth a damn!

    • Lefty Frizzell

People don’t really want the government run like a business, otherwise they’d be all gungho for Gates. What they want is a far right silver spooned dumbass to fuck all the poors except them, with “business” as a fig leaf.

      • willi0000000

nope . . . people want health care, infrastructure, good jobs, pure foods and drugs, protection from the banksters, job security and all the other things government can bring them.

but they don’t want to pay for any of that.

Give it a few weeks and the US will look like that scene from the Lion King where Mufasa (Democracy) was murdered, Simba is on the run with Pumba and Timon (Barry with JOe en Branson) while scar and the Hyena’s (Bannon and the GOP) expect the other lions to hunt for food and the Lion(Warren) responds: There is no more food left scar..All the animals (Immigrants) have moved away.

    • Mr. Blobfish

I know what all that means! Last night, I took my darling wife to see the The Lion KIng on Broadway. The story isn’t much but the stagecraft is amazing.

      • theCryptofishist

I’ve wanted to see that for years, for that very reason.

    • theCryptofishist

How can a hereditary king be democracy?

      • Robbertjan Brandenburg

So you are the guy at the party who points out the inaccuracy in a joke.

        • theCryptofishist

Yup. Except I don’t go to parties. Never invited for some reason.

    • Creepoman

I used to think it would be cool if just once, the bad guy won. Voldemort kills Harry, or Darth Vader annihilates the rebellion and evil reigns supreme and unchallenged. Turns out it’s really not that cool.

      • Alternative Pony Ron

Not when you’re living it, no.

Trump’s likely science adviser calls climate scientists ‘glassy-eyed cult’

William Happer, frontrunner for job of providing mainstream
scientific opinion to officials, backs crackdown on federal scientists’
    freedom to speak out

    Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Happer

    In December 2015 Happer was targeted in a sting operation by the environmental activist group Greenpeace;
posing as consultants for a Middle Eastern oil and gas company, they
asked Happer to write a report touting the benefits of rising carbon
emissions. Concerned that the report might not be trusted if it was
known that it was commissioned by an oil company, Happer discussed ways
to obscure the funding. Happer asked that the fee be donated to the
climate-change skeptic organization CO2 Coalition, who suggested he
reach out to the Donors Trust,
in order to keep the source of funds secret; hiding funding in this way
is lawful under US law. Happer acknowledged that his report would
probably not pass peer-review with a scientific journal.

So here’s my two cents, which probably aren’t worth quite that much:
If dems slow-walk the impeachment another couple of months, until the House is starting to campaign for 2018 seats, they may be able to force Ryan out. No matter how republican your district is, a combination of “he wants to kill you by taking away your health care, gutting your SS and ruining your children’s educations” ads plus “he’s letting Russia win” ads are a leeeetle hard to push back against effectively when you’re sitting on your hands refusing to investigate obvious meddling by Putin in our election.
With Ryan out, if 2018 goes as we hope it will, and dems retake the House and Senate, there will be a dem in the Speaker’s seat. This scandal can easily take down Pence, who lied to the American public (knowingly or not) alongside Tangerine Man. And voila! We have a dem president, 2 years early.

        • Wellstone En Resistencia, Coño

I understand but the reality is that going high when they go low doesn’t work. Appealing to voters’ basic human decency didn’t convince the 80,000-or-so assholes in OH, PA and WI to not vote for Donald. Our answer to the both-sides-do-it argument should be “Yes, and we’re better at it.”

    • I think we’re defending too much (senate) and up against too much gerrymandering (house). Plus the idiot republican base is just like Ryan: party above country no matter what.

But i love the way you think.

      • Lefty Wright

The left also needs to figure out who the real enemy is. It’s not the moderate Democrats or the more progressive left. They agree on a lot of the same basic principles. The GOP is the enemy. Argue policy and how fast you want change during the primary, but cut the personal attacks. And after the primaries, get behind the Democratic winner. Because in just about every case, that person will be infinitely better than the Republican. And totally cut the crap about holding your nose, or a protest vote is OK if you are not in a swing state. That only delegitimizes the entire party and encourages people to sit on their asses on election day.

Only one thing worse than this: the inevitable announcement from Agent Orange that everything is just ducky.

    • DahBoner

It would be one weird trick if that sub “accidentally” launches a little baby nuke towards Man.Hat.Tan. Doubtful it could be stopped from just 70nm.

Trump would demand UNLIMITED power and Republicans would trot out a piece of legislation they’ve been working on FOR YEARS giving him just that.

      Surprise. 😖

(I have no inside info on any of this just a high IQ)

Tried to listen to the Hannity/KaC clip – couldn’t do it. Hannity makes me want to punch things. Fucking obsequious toad.

    • Ducksworthy

Hannity gives me the same loathing I get when I meet someone with secondary syphilis.

      • Yr. Gma

Does that happen to you often?

  • Usedtobeyellerdawg

Isn’t Trump endorsing one news network over two others kind of the same thing that KAC did that got her in trouble?

Betcha tRump will have a panel of this, in crappy gold leaf, at the entrance to the WH.

Time to roll out those nicely cooled barrels of Kool Aid for the WH staff, and those Goper shitweasels in Congress…that recipe from Jonestown is still around somewhere.

        That’s Flavor-Aid; thank you.

At least Nixon was smart enough to cover it up for a couple years.

      • I don’t think Nixon was ever a puppet of a foreign country though so….hey, ghost of Nixon, you got replaced as most crookedest ever!

        • Nodrama4mama

That’s because there was no internet. If there had been twitter when Nixon did his thing, he wouldn’t have made it 6 months

    • An Outhouse for the Resistance

Who didn’t see this coming? He had Russian advisors (Manafort et al), friends of Russia (Flynn, numerous others), a SOS who got an award from Russia (Tillerson). How long did they think he could survive as Putin’s purchased puppet?

      • DahBoner

        Who didn’t see this coming?

        Trump Voters?

        • Wrong! They would never believe in peace (They would “believe” about peace is that it’s for “sissies.”)

They would support bashing two bricks together though, especially if the bricks came from their skull.

    • nightmoth

“shows the Trump administration is either “reckless” or simply has “total incompetence.” Hahaha! Oh, that’s definitely an AOT,K!

I’d say he knew the job was dangerous when he took it, but who the fuck am I kidding?

    • Bitter Scribe

Snark off–remember last August, when the Trump campaign was supposed to be floundering and people were speculating that he wouldn’t make it to November? Don’t put too much faith in this stuff. It’s going to get worse before it gets better.

      • MynameisBlarney

I hear ya, but this is a different ball o’ wax.

It is. It seems like this pot’s about to boil over.

      Finally, some good news.

  • ThirdAmendmentMan

Man its gonna be crazy to read the headline “President Ryan Sworn In.”

    • suziq

This nightmare is never going to end, is it?

      • Keep in mind, bu the time it gets to that point, ZEGS Ryan is going to be so fucking paranoid he won’t do anything

        • suziq

That would be nice but after dreaming about being in power his whole life I think he will give it a shot. “It” being destroying modern civilization as we know it because privatization.

          • Yr. Gma

As Speaker, he can shoot his mouth off about ending Medicare and SS, but as President, more people will hear him. AARP is on the case.

      • Hardly Ideal

Well, I heard years ago that there’s this binary pulsar star out there called Wolf-Rayet 104. It’s predicted that one day it will collapse and go supernova, during which time it will send a blast of gamma rays out of its poles. And since we can observe the star throwing off a spiral-shaped disk of matter, that implies we’re viewing it from the top; essentially, looking down the barrel of a radiation cannon that could fuck things up on Earth.

So… fingers crossed on the nightmare ending, is what I’m trying to say.

first the Chavettz man helps put trump in the white house, wants to take away the safety net, then won’t let people kill themselves cause the jesus has something to say about it – only a slow painful crucifixion will put the toy back in this guys happy meal

The Trumenfurer has stepped over the line! Trump is about to learn that you don’t fuck with people who have studied how to fuck over Dick-taters for half a Century.

    • Bitter Scribe

Hey, if “the intelligence community” could murder JFK with no more consequence than a bunch of conspiracy theories and a shitty Oliver Stone movie…

      • Khavrinen

Then WTF are they waiting for now?!

        • Mike Steele

Probably waiting for Comey to turn over his stuff, though that appears to be a non-starter

        • Yr. Gma

          The vial of votes.

      • Yr. Gma

        And Lyndon Johnson?

    • Mike Steele

Well, they should be heading for a core meltdown right about now, as Donald called them out again, repeatedly repeating “illegal” with that contemptuous sneer, during presser w/Bibi.

While we wait for Jason Chaffetz to mount that bipartisan investigation of Trump’s Russian ties, worth reading is this article from The American Interest, a publication of which I have never heard, but which article I found from a New Yorker link. Be forewarned that it is very long and very chewy, and that if you click the link, you will be warned that you have now seen your one free article per month from this publication. I recommend going to it and printing it to pdf and reading it at your leisure.

    Puzder is DONE-ZO!!!!!

    goodbye Carl’s Jr. asshole.

with General Flynn resigning in disgrace, the Russia-Trump Spy Ring throwing disarray for Team Trump, and now this Pudwacker withdrawing from his nomination for Sec. of Labor position…things looking dire for Team Trump.

let’s hope Trump gets super depressed tonight and either dies or resigns.

The People of the United States of America 4 to Trump’s ZERO.

    1) Muslim ban slapped down
    2) Flynn resigns in disgrace
    3) Puzder takes name off the list of deplorable assholes for Team Trump
    4) Intelligence Community ready and willing to burn Team Trump for doing treason and stuff.

not a good day to be some scumbag right-winging-pretending shitbag President.

it’s gonna be a long bath robey night.
