HI, WONKERS. If you recall, yr Wonkette and our fambly live in Memphis, Tennessee, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in 1968. The site still includes the Lorraine Motel, where King was staying that night, and has been expanded into the National Civil Rights Museum. And that is where yr Wonkette Niece (who is THREE now) spent her day, alongside all the others who came to pay their respects and commemorate Dr. King's legacy today.
Did Wonkette Niece solve racism today? NO, SILLY. That is not how life works. But we're pretty sure if you teach them young, you have a much better chance of raising a kid who listens, who's conscious and loving, and who understands that "color-blind" is bullshit. That's the goal, anyway!
Here are a couple more pictures, and then you may commence to yammering in your open thread!

But would Britannica say that?
Help. I am trapped in Disqus, but I cannot get to Wonkette. I am reduced to replying to comments. I have to figure out the web address for wonkette in disqus.I hate this.
