After the smoke clears and both of these creeps are impeached for colluding with foreign countries to tamper with an election, the Republican-led congress will have stripped all the toothless hillbillies in KY of their heathcare, left us with the usual war, deficit and recession that GOP presidents do, MAYBE Hillary's emails wont seen like such a big deal to them. Ya think?

I sure didn't think that one comment would generate such a response. It's not moralizing and it's not telling people what to do (unless you believe that soda and cheetos are food). It's pure economics and, I believe, being honest. The overwhelming majority of SNAP money goes to children and the amount allotted is woefully inadequate. I think that most people would agree that accepting a transfer payment intended to provide proper nutrition for children but spending the money on something else is unacceptable. The program is already underfunded and taking advantage of it for things it wasn't intended for is dishonest. If there's one other child somewhere that doesn't receive a meal because someone buys their kid a can of soda then the program is not doing what it's intended to do. By doing so you are only offering ammunition to those who would cut the program even further on the belief that people don't really need it because, look, they don't spend the money the way it was intended.
