When people stop being polite, and start being lumberjacks.
Last week, things got a little awkward for Melania Trump when she delivered a speech at the Republican National Convention in which she blatantly plagiarized a speech previously given by Michelle Obama at the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Or Twilight Sparkle, one of the two.
Many came to her defense, including Real World alum/ Wisconsin GOP Rep. Sean Duffy, who told revered political news outlet TMZ that it was PURE COINCIDENCE that Melania repeated the exact same words in the exact same order as Michelle Obama, because all those things were universal.
“These are common phrases about family and support of family and ideas about our country, so I don’t think they were so unique a phrase that only a Democrat says it, only a Republican, it’s a lot of common themes that a lot of us share.”
Of course, it did turn out that Melania's speech WAS stoled from Michelle Obama, but it wasn't her fault, because she'd just told that Meredith McIver person about how much she liked it and what parts of it she liked best, and then that lady -- who exists, supposedly -- put them into her speech, and then she didn't notice, even though she wrote the whole thing all by herself.
But no matter! Because according to Duffy, and his wife, Rachel Campos-Duffy, also of The Real World , are pretty sure that the REAL plagiarizer is Michelle Obama, who stoled her whole speech from Republicans! Because she talked about opportunity in that speech, and the Republicans OWN THAT SHIT. Except not really! At all! For any reason!
Here is the clip where they said this totally reasonable and true thing, in an interview with EWTN. Which I think means they are replacing that eye-patch nun now that she is dead and what not:
Rachel, the one who made out with Puck that one time, continued to insist, even though the campaign had already admitted that it was plagiarized, that it wasn't really plagiarized. Oh, sure, maybe the Trump campaign -- or the guilty speechwriter -- had apologized for plagiarism, and even the EWTN dude was all like “they used the same line at some point,” but the Duffys stuck to their guns and insisted that it wasn't REAL plagiarism like what Michelle Obama did by mentioning opportunity and using her Illuminati witch powers to steal Melania's speech 8 years in advance of her delivering it!
“But I’m not sure, I mean, I’m not sure that she plagiarized. I mean, when I saw the two speeches together, I thought, wow, Michelle Obama has really plagiarized the opportunity message that has been the platform of the Republican Party.”
Are we sure that the kind of "opportunity" Michelle was talking about has been the platform of the Republican party? Because Republican Opportunity seems a lot more like the "WHO CARES if you do not have opportunity! Pull yourself up by your bootstraps and vote for us even though you are poor, so that when you become a millionaire you will have the opportunity to pay less in taxes and not worry about labor laws or safety regulations!" kind.
"The media," Rachel claimed, pushed this whole "plagiarism" thing to distract us all from the fact that Melania "looked spectacular." Which I am pretty sure was not a thing! HI , I am a person of "the media" and sure, Melania looked swell! She is a very pretty person, which is not surprising because she was a model. Would I personally make the fashion choice of wearing sleeves like that? Probably not, especially not in white, but it works for her! Also, I think she or her MUA did good eye-makeup! I, myself, am a fan of the whole kohl-liner thing.
Is... is that good enough? Because I'm not sure that pulling off a kohl-liner and poofy sleeves is really worthy of more discussion than that. And I am the kind of person who actually enjoys discussing these things!
It feels as though plagiarism is a pretty relevant thing to point out, possibly even more relevant than Melania's sleeves or eyeliner situation. But what do I know? I am the librul media and am here to brainwash you by not talking about fashion enough, I guess.

But the important thing is, he's a Moran.
Rachel is giving Sarah Palin competition for the most ignorant female Republican blowhard. As Bob Dylan wrote "Idiot wind -blowing every time you move your teeth."
