That Doucher Milo Guy Gets Booted From Twitter Forever, Just For Being A Gross Racist Harasser
Milo Yiannopoulos, the Breitbart "tech editor" who spends a lot more time kvetching about so-called SJWs than ever writing about "tech," has been permanently banned from the Twitter machine after leading a brigade of assholes sending racist messages to the lovely and talented Leslie Jones and then pointing and laughing like a middle-school bully when she got upset.
Twitter has released a statement in full:
People should be able to express diverse opinions and beliefs on Twitter. But no one deserves to be subjected to targeted abuse online, and our rules prohibit inciting or engaging in the targeted abuse or harassment of others. Over the past 48 hours in particular, we’ve seen an uptick in the number of accounts violating these policies and have taken enforcement actions against these accounts, ranging from warnings that also require the deletion of Tweets violating our policies to permanent suspension.
We know many people believe we have not done enough to curb this type of behavior on Twitter. We agree. We are continuing to invest heavily in improving our tools and enforcement systems to better allow us to identify and take faster action on abuse as it’s happening and prevent repeat offenders. We have been in the process of reviewing our hateful conduct policy to prohibit additional types of abusive behavior and allow more types of reporting, with the goal of reducing the burden on the person being targeted. We’ll provide more details on those changes in the coming weeks.
Naturally, Milo and his followers -- who have been tweeting #FreeMilo since last night -- believe this is a violation of their freedom of speech. Then again, they also think it is a violation of their freedom of speech when they send 20,000 messages to a black woman they don't know about how they think she resembles an ape, and she gets mad instead of congratulating them on being the next Lenny Bruce. It's not, of course, since Twitter is a private company and not the United States government.
Milo released a statement on Breitbart, in which he accused Twitter of totally loving terrorists but hating conservatives:
“With the cowardly suspension of my account, Twitter has confirmed itself as a safe space for Muslim terrorists and Black Lives Matter extremists, but a no-go zone for conservatives.”
“Twitter is holding me responsible for the actions of fans and trolls using the special pretzel logic of the left. Where are the Twitter police when Justin Bieber’s fans cut themselves on his behalf?”
“Like all acts of the totalitarian regressive left, this will blow up in their faces, netting me more adoring fans. We’re winning the culture war, and Twitter just shot themselves in the foot.”
“This is the end for Twitter. Anyone who cares about free speech has been sent a clear message: you’re not welcome on Twitter.”
Gee, I don't know. It seems like there are a lot of conservatives on Twitter . Lots and lots of them in fact. Heck! Even the Westboro Baptist Church has a Twitter! Hell, my mentions are often full of conservative Twitter users mad at me for one thing or another. So it does seem that the primary issue here is not that he is a conservative, but that he keeps harassing people, and encouraging his many followers to do so as well.
Like so:
Milo also told Heat Street that he has no regrets over harassing Leslie Jones on Twitter, and said that he cannot possibly be a white supremacist, because he likes having sex with black men:
“I keep getting accused of being a white supremacist. But if that’s the case, I must be the first black-dick-sucking white supremacist in history.”
Yeah, that is definitely not true.
Given all the trouble Conservatives have had with social media lately , perhaps they should get it together and start founding their own social media sites, where they can harass people with impunity. You know, pull themselves up by their bootstraps and create something they think is better. Isn't that what the free market is all about?
**UPDATE**
Curiously, just four years ago, Milo himself advocated for banning people like him from social media platforms, in an article on The Kernel titled " The Internet Is Turning Us All Into Sociopaths ":
So perhaps what’s needed now is a bolder form of censure after all, because the internet is not a universal human right. If people cannot be trusted to treat one another with respect, dignity and consideration, perhaps they deserve to have their online freedoms curtailed. For sure, the best we could ever hope for is a smattering of unpopular show trials. But if the internet, ubiquitous as it now is, proves too dangerous in the hands of the psychologically fragile, perhaps access to it ought to be restricted. We ban drunks from driving because they’re a danger to others. Isn’t it time we did the same to trolls?
He even noted, in that particular piece, that "[i]t’s as if we’ve all forgotten that there’s a real person on the other end, reading and being hurt by our vitriol. That’s as close to the definition of sociopath as one needs to get for an armchair diagnosis."
Maybe the internet did turn him into a sociopath after all?

Maybe he needs to start an alternate Twitter?
ah yes the "i can't be racist, i date black people" argument. i guess all these straight misogynist males have been in the closet this entire time then, eh?
