Congresslady Calling Ignorant Bigot An 'Ignorant Bigot' Is Best Thing You'll See All Day

Gather round, ye Wonkers, for we have another TKO smackdown to share with you! It is U.S. Congresslady Zoe Lofgren, Democrat of California, and she's had it up to here with a lady named Gail Heriot from the United States Commission on Civil Rights, who is a damned transphobic bigot. During a hearing before the House Judiciary Committee about government overreach, Heriot submitted the following testimony:  

We are teaching young people a terrible lesson. If I believe that I am a Russian princess, that doesn’t make me a Russian princess, even if my friends and acquaintances are willing to indulge my fantasy. Nor am I a Great Horned Owl just because—as I have been told—I happen to share some personality traits with those feathered creatures.

This is one of those "clever arguments" used by bigots who are walking examples of the Dunning-Kruger Effect, because in their tiny little brains, they think it makes sense. Fuck medical science, they just think it's weird for a penis-haver to identify as a girl.

Of course, Heriot The Bigot is all pissed off about Obama's directive on letting trans kids fucking pee where they feel comfortable.

Congresswoman Lofgren was not having her shit. She quoted Heriot's testimony about Russian princesses and big horny owls, and shared her thoughts:

I found this rather offensive, and it says to me that the witness doesn't know anything, and has probably never met a transgender child who is going through, in almost every case, a very difficult experience, finding themselves. And I believe that the department's guidance will help schools all over the United States in preventing the kind of violence and harassment that these transgender kids find too often.

Ms. Heriot cut in to bitch and moan about how "offensive" it is to transphobic bigots like herself, that the Obama administration is trying to help those kids, and Lofgren GAVE HER THE BUSINESS:

I think you're a bigot, lady! I think you are an ignorant bigot. I think you are an ignorant bigot, anti-gay ...

At this point, Rep. Steve King (R-Dumbass) cut in to say that Zoe Lofgren is being VERY uncouth. He was probably thinking about how trans women are causing all the OTHER ladies to have hairy, sweaty armpits, because they're scared to shower at the gym with the trans women.

Lofgren simply responded that she doesn't want Heriot's bigotry going into the congressional record without being challenged, which led Heriot, with her feeble idiot brain, to issue this YA BURNT! in Lofgren's general direction:

Does that mean you think I am a Russian princess?

No, lady, you're just an asshole, and a fuckin' stupid one at that.
