Look, just because Donald Trump is the candidate for rank-and-file racist Republicans and distinguished Racist-Americans like former KKK leader David Duke does not mean Trump himself is a racist. Trump has disavowed that endorsement, and besides, Trump is the most least racist person Trump knows!
There's nobody that's done so much for equality as I have. You take a look at Palm Beach, Florida. I built the Mar-a-Lago Club, totally open to everybody. A club that frankly set a new standard in clubs and a new standard in Palm Beach. And I've gotten great credit for it. That is totally open to everybody.
OK. Let's take a look at Trump's "open to everybody" club in Palm Beach, why don't we?
The ultra exclusive Mar-a-Lago Club is a unique property situated in the heart of Palm Beach, fronting the most beautiful two-acres of direct access private beach on the East Coast. A National Historic Landmark, the former Marjorie Merriweather Post estate maintains its position as a charter member on the VIP list of places that established Palm Beach as a winter haven for the elite many decades ago. Over the years, The Mar-a-Lago Club has become one of the most impressive and exclusive private clubs, made even more glamorous by Mr. Trump.
Who knew an exclusive private club for elite VIPs was so accessible to the common folk? The common folk who have a hundred grand sitting around to pay for the privilege of joining, that is, which is quite the bargain, since it used to cost twice as much to join:
Now, society-craving jetsetters are said to be bypassing the hefty $200,000 initiation fee, instead only paying $100,000 for membership privileges.
Annual fees are $14,000, plus a thousand bucks a night if you actually want to stay there. So when Trump says his exclusive private club for Very Important People is open to everyone, he doesn't mean everyone everyone. He means everyone who has a metric fuckload of cash. But, civil rights leader that Trump is and has always been, that includes the sort of undesirables upper-crusty Palm Beachers traditionally preferred not to rub elbows with, dahhhling : The Blacks and The Jewishes.
As soon as Trump moved into the neighborhood, he clashed with the Palm Beach establishment, battling them in a series of lawsuits. Trump alleged that the town was discriminating against him and his club because it was open to Jews and African Americans. At one point, Trump's lawyer sent each town council member a copy of two movies about discrimination: “A Gentleman’s Agreement,” about a journalist who pretends to be Jewish to expose anti-Semitism, and “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner,” about a white couple’s reaction to their daughter bringing home a black fiance, The Washington Post reported .
Now that is some classy shit right there. Who knew Trump was such a freedom fighter for the downtrodden and oppressed who simply want to luxuriate beside a "world renowned oceanfront swimming pool"? Wasn't it Dr. Martin Luther King who had a dream that one day his children would be able to swing a $14,000-a-year club membership to play upon a "full size croquet court" and dance the night away in "the sumptuous Donald J. Trump Grand Ballroom"?
[contextly_sidebar id="laS4wEupsRucFcEXdaaZGREZpvcZBsXL"]Would a racist fight for the equal right of others to violate local zoning laws to build one of the world's most exclusive clubs for the world's richest fucks, of all colors? Would a racist continue to sue Palm Beach and the local airport director for discriminating against Trump -- and his non-white and non-WASP members, we are sure -- by making too much airplane noise over his exclusive-for-everyone club?
Of course not. Ergo ipso facto, Trump is not a racist, and all you rich The Jews and The Blacks ought to be thankful. Maybe build Trump a monument and name a holiday after him. It's the least you people can do.

"What the fuck is wrong with us as a country?" ehh, not so much. "What the fuck is wrong with the Republican party?" . . . that's the topic of the year.
Cause Tonto did the dirty work for free.
