That's really interesting.

It would be cool to learn more about day to day life in segregated America in Black History Month, in ways like this that really drive home the fact that it was real people, trying to organize their lives around a culture that directed violence against them.

And beyond giving perspective, it brings up these comparisons with contemporary life.

But yeah, we don't need Black History Month. Where's White History Month?

Pittsburgh is fairly close to West Virginia, and here the litmus test is generally "Hey, the dress code for this dinner is 'business casual.' Where's your Steelers' jersey?"
