Sounds like he needs to SPLAIN some things to his campaign.

Bad news, everybody, but the Bernie Sanders campaign seems to be doing dirty tricks. Stop doing dirty tricks, Bernie Sanders campaign!

Operatives from Bernie Sanders’ campaign have donned Culinary union pins and secured access to employee areas inside Strip hotels to try to garner votes for the Feb. 20 caucus, sources confirm.

Culinary officials have been made aware of the faux union workers at four hotels — The Rio, Paris, The Mirage and Planet Hollywood. The Sanders campaigners are wearing the distinctive yellow Local 226 pins, implying they are union members, to gain access to employee dining rooms.

That is … not good. For Bernie staffers to deceive union workers by basically COSPLAYING AS THEM is highly, highly OMG HIGHLY unethical, under any circumstances, and the union is NOT happy about it at all:

We can confirm multiple reports of Bernie Sanders’ campaign staffers attempting and gaining access to Employee Dining Rooms at Las Vegas Strip properties where over 57,000 members that we represent work.

We are disappointed and offended. It’s completely inappropriate for any campaign to attempt to mislead Culinary Union members, especially at their place of work.

The Culinary Union button that hundreds of thousands of union members have proudly worn to work every day represents 80 years of struggle and fighting for justice. We strongly condemn anyone falsifying their affiliation with the Culinary Union in order to gain access to properties and we will cooperate with casinos and hotels so that this matter is fully resolved.

No bueno, Bernie!

The Culinary Union has been very specific about how it has not endorsed either Hillary Clinton OR Bernie Sanders, by the way. The union DID endorse (Barack Obama) in 2008, and the ensuing battle was bloody. The Clinton campaign was accused of trying to suppress the Latino vote by filing a lawsuit to stop the union from caucusing inside casinos (where all those union members work). Meanwhile, the Clinton campaign stuck its nose inside the casinos to try to peel Obama-supporting union workers away, which was Not Allowed, and ugh, it was just bad.

It’s gross when 2008 Hillary does it, and it’s gross when 2016 Bernie does it, is the point.

Come on, guys. We know this is a competitive primary and people on both sides feel very strongly about their candidates. But one of the ways Democrats are supposed to be better than Republicans is that they’re supposed to be more honest.

We are certain the Sanders campaign is going to make heads roll over this, just like when they decided to “help” the DNC by snooping around in Hillary Clinton’s voter database. Right?

Because we genuinely like BOTH candidates (Martin O’Malley, you do not exist) and we’d like this primary to remain focused on the important issues, like Bernie being a dirty communist and Hillary doing war-ghazi with Wall Street on her emails.

The best thing about caucusing inside the casinos is nobody can tell if it’s day or night and those scantily clad waitresses keep bringing free drinks.

    • Zippy

not so much anymore- at least the free drinks.

    • dslindc

Do you get one and a half votes if you get Blackjack?

      • bobbert

Nah, only 6 to 5 these days, so 1.2 votes.

    • YourMom

Yeah…all we get in my state is standing out in the damned cold and a caucus room where you can’t get a beer. Damn!

  • harryr

Bernie, you are supposed to be the good guy.

    • JohnBull

The Bobby Ewing, if you will.

I don’t think this particular campaign strategy came from the top, but unfortunately, Bernie will have to answer for it. Feelin’ the bern?

Good idea, gotta practice for the clown show tonight.

          }
          }

          • Jenny

It’s basically that. And some more bullshit my professor threw into his “book.” I’ve learned more in YouTube videos and skill training tutorials at work than from chapters of his book. The class is OOP java but all the assignments are multimedia manipulations with Java. Just to add an extra fuck you to it, I guess.

That and the fact we aren’t allowed to use an ide like netbeans or eclipse, kinda makes me want to punch him in the nuts.

          • data_ninja

I think you dodged a bullet with Eclipse (I used it once; never again) but I’ve never played with netbeans. I guess not using an IDE is akin to not being allowed to use a graphing calculator on a linear algebra test. They want to make sure that you know how the stuff works, despite the fact that the pros use the good tools anyways (for which I say better to learn to use those tools as well then). Good luck just the same!

          • Jenny

I have vb, drjava, and notepad ++ on my computer too. :(

I’m not a programmer, not enough of one to use any of them regularly to have real preference, but I found netbeans to be the easiest one to adjust to.

    • natoslug

I still expect better. From both campaigns.

      • Zippy

exactly- ‘they did it too’ is the level of discourse I expect from the morons of the moron party

    • sundaytrucker

I had completely forgotten about that, what with all the “Is Obama Black enough?” nonsense going on back then. I guess my brain can only remember so much horribleness from a political campaign.

      • Joe Beese

You thought I hoped to fool people into thinking it was about a January 15, 2016 Michigan primary?

        • TheBidenator

….Yes and it worked for a moment until I took my shoes off and counted.

    • TheBidenator

So this is your evidence that what Bernie’s campaign did was therefore permissive and acceptable? Shit and we get on Republicans for the false equivalencies- Hillary’s campaign did that in 2008 and guess what? They were raked over the coals for it and it helped her lose even more support among D’s. So if you’re arguing that Bernie Sanders campaign is justified over tactics Hillary Clinton’s campaign was rightly excoriated over in 2008 then that’s just another reason why I don’t feel the Bern aside from my gut feeling that he absolutely cannot win the general.

      • Joe Beese

I never said it was justified. Only that I can’t bring myself to care about the victim.

    • Metadude

Yeah, interesting how a city of 2 million people has not a single pro sports team, but lots of boxing, which everyone expects to be fixed.

      • Spotts1701

And yet despite the Strip being a graveyard for minor league teams, the city keeps thinking that someday someone will give them a shot at the big time. The NBA had one All-Star game in Vegas and said “never again”.

        • Zippy

I was here then- it was a mess. They do have some preseason games at the MGM though

        • sw19womble

  • Anarchy Pony

    Helping or hurting, dipshits!?

  • TheBidenator

I have remained generally supportive of but aloof from both campaigns at the same time and I have to say, this hardly rises to Rovian levels of dirty tricks. It’s like an insult to those who do the dirty tricks to call it a dirty trick- Bern supporters need to go to UNLV and start a rumor that Hillary is a child molester whilst pointing to her work with kids as proof of her illicit activities if they want to get Rovian.

    • Zippy

or talk about that black child she had out of wedlock

(that was NOT good news for John McCain)

      • TheBidenator

That was Ralph Reed- Rove also put out a bunch of fliers inviting homeless people to free pizza and beer at his campaign rivals headquarters and then used it to frame the rival as being profligate….

        • Zippy

It’s when I lost all respect for Senator POW- when he supported Mr AWOL Bush, the guy who backstabbed him, over fellow vet Kerry

          • Zippy

yup, he sure did. stuck his nose right up their ass

        • jmhm

I thought that was traced back to Bob Jones University and the Wyly brothers.

          • TheBidenator

Nope, it was Rove- he even personally passed the fliers out when he was a volunteer. Dude had a picture of Nixon hanging in his HS locker FFS.

          • jmhm

Oh, no, I meant the rumors about his adopted daughter.

          • TheBidenator

Oh, well Ralph Reed bragged about himself being responsible for delivering South Carolina for W. so I’m sure he had a major hand in creation of that nasty turd nugget- it is right up his alley as well.

        • Bitter Scribe

He then proceeded to make it clear that he thought Howard Hunt ridiculous. “Once, during the Florida primary, Howard had some fliers printed saying that Mayor [John V.] Lindsay, of New York, was having a meeting and there would be free beer. Howard handed these fliers out in the black areas, and of course there was no meeting or beer, so the blacks would come for their beer and leave hating Lindsay. Howard thought this was the greatest thing since Chinese checkers.”

My cat used to leave me, literally, the bottom half of a dead squirrel under the breakfast table 2 times a week during the summer when he bothered to want out of the house (we have a pet door and he can come and go as he pleases, but in winter time in Alaska he was all Fuck You I is stayin by the Pellet Stove). Anyway I guess my point is I find the dead squirrels preferable to el Jebe, crudz, tRump and the entire rest of the eleventyjillion rethugs running for Preznits this time round.

Hey, way to own your candidate’s failings (or, more likely, the failings of his supporters who think along the same lines as you do).

      • Rasilom

Meh, I like both the Hilz and the Burn. I won’t be able to make the caucuses at home for the primary because, work, travel, but I lean towards the Burn, I just really like the balls that dude has, but I am still gonna vote in the general for who ever gets the nod of the Dem party cause, not stupid. Yes I agree that Hilz is a little too close to the banking / finance industry, but I will also point out that this is the second time the Burn’s campaign has been caught, shall we say, red handed being underhanded. I am not implying that Burn knew it, just that his campaign did it, so Pot meet Kettle. Either way I am really hopping for a Cruz run against who ever gets the Dem nomination cause it will be like watching a MMA match between Ronda Rousey and a 5 year old, total destruction and slaughter. I wasn’t sure who I was going to vote for in the primary. But Bernie’s campaign people (as well as many of his super vocal, yet uninformed millenial supporters, most of whom don’t understand how congress works) have sent me firmly into Clinton’s camp.

      • sundaytrucker

Exactly jmhm, Bernie supporters all think alike. We are all devious and manipulative trolls trying to ruin Hilz well earned ascension , by pointing out it doesn’t take six degrees of separation to link Hillary to bad behavior on the campaign trail. This truly is our greatest failing. Our bad.

        • jmhm

Also you represent your candidate poorly.

          • sundaytrucker

How do I represent him poorly? By not voting for your candidate? By pointing out the glaring weaknesses in your preferred candidate? Or just by mocking your idiotic “all Bernie supporters are the same” comment?

          • jmhm

No, by indulging in combative, and irrelevant, drivebys to derail discussion of your candidate at a time when your candidate’s campaign is fighting the perception that his support is driven by faddish bullybro behavior on the internet.

          • sundaytrucker

LOL. Your candidate is fighting the perception that she is in Wall St’s pocket and she left Iowa to take money from a company under SEC investigation for fraud. You can talk trash about Bernie’s supporters all you want, but our names aren’t on the ballot and HRC’s is. And that is who you are consciously making the decision to vote for. That’s what you support, not indirectly by voting for a candidate that some bros like, but directly, by voting for a candidate that is herself the problem with her campaign.

          • jmhm

If you’re trying to look engaged, try to schedule your drivebys a few days closer together.

    • Joe Beese

Obama didn’t give Hillz the Secretary of State position because he felt generous or because he liked her stilo. It was a payoff for her quitting the race for the nomination. And I’m sure both sides ended up happy with the trade.

What the fuck can O’Malley give Hillz? And if he can’t give her anything, why wouldn’t she pick her own cronies? She’d have earned the privilege.

      • Lefty Frizzell

Happily that has an answer. We should have a pretty good idea in 4 days.

        • WiscoJoe

I usually have a good idea what’s going on in terms of elections, but this year is just a big mystery. I just hope someone gets the nomination locked up before the Wisconsin primary, so I don’t have to get involved personally.

          • Joe Beese

The big drawback to living in Utah is no good ethnic food. The big plus is having no responsibility whatever for the outcome of Presidential elections.

          • WiscoJoe

If you live in Utah, aren’t you expected to drive down to Vegas and pretend to live there in order to canvass? When I (briefly) lived in Vegas, most of our volunteers were shipped in from Utah or California.

          • Joe Beese

I don’t know what the local Obama crew expected. But putting the bumper sticker on my car was as much skin in the game as they were going to get.

          • Biff52

You don’t have to live in a state in order to canvass, or man the phone banks. I teamed up with a guy from Bakersfield CA and put about 2000 miles on my truck going door-to-door in NV in 2008.

      • Joe Beese

All I can tell you is that it’s a lot easier for me to enjoy this cycle merely wishing Bernie well, having no illusions that he’s a moral paragon or a potential savior, the expectation that Hillary will win in the end, and the acceptance that it could be a lot worse.

        • Jen_Baker_VA

Why expect that? Neck and neck is a pretty good fighting chance, after all.

    • Joe Beese
      • Liadan

And Bernie has voted for every war bill ever put up, except Iraq. Then he voted to fund the Iraq war twice. Why did he do that, if he was so morally opposed to that war.

      • Liadan

And its well known that Bernie *did* bus in students from out of state. And his Super PAC did also.

    • Spudger

Show me evidence. Looking at a series of events – not matter how suspicious – and claiming “obviously, X” does not necessarily make X true.

I’ll be happy to read Sanders’ and his campaign officials to filth, IF you can show me evidence more concrete than “this feels…”

      • EmmettGrogan

Thank you. I thought the same exact thing. I love Wonkette and have read it almost daily for years but this makes me suspicious when one article, claiming something that isn’t illegal was done by Sanders, immediately concludes that Sanders is guilty. Though no official endorsements have been made by Wonkette, it’s clear they are for Hillary and I don’t see one article on the many, many crimes of Hillary, ever. For one she used her job as Sec of State to persuade/force foreign countries to invest in GMOs; she also sold PUBLIC LAND to the Russians for mining. Over time, she sold 20% of U.S.’ uranium to Russian corp Uranium One. Google it. Uranium is used to make nuclear weapons and she jeopardized our safety by selling it to Russia. She also was a lawyer for Monsanto, known crime syndicate. I could go on and on but I’ll stop here.

How long before you catch on that this is actually Hillary’s dirty work? I can’t tell you how many comments I’ve seen elsewhere where union members said that Hillary did the same thing in 2008. Also many members of that union and others say it is common practice for union heads to decide who the union will endorse without members permission or involvement. The vast majority of this union supported Bernie. Data breach was a setup by Hillary as well, I’ve read many articles by good inestigative journalists saying that. The guy from the data company was recommended by someone in Hillary’s camp.

Oops! You’ve caught me Carsoning, again. Sorry :-(

      • Jen_Baker_VA

Pretty sure no matter what one might think of the Hillz, she is not sending people out to actively campaign for Bernie and recruit union votes. And very sure she was not secretly handing over her own info because…reasons.

        • Kavefish

When I see comments like the one you replied to, I can’t help but think that I’m seeing the emergence of a Lefties Tea Bag, er, Tea Party faction and that it will be as un-pretty and un-useful as the one from the right.

          • Jen_Baker_VA

I have a secret conspiracy theory of my own; that these ARE tea baggers and they are just pretending to be liberals.
I know it is not true, necessarily, but in my heart I just can’t see how hating a candidate is more important than supporting another to anyone who claims the liberal brand. Plus, it is embrasassing as a Bernie supporter to see someone on my side spewing wingnut talking points.

          • Kavefish

So, in other words, they’re opening the Nixon Ratfuckers playbook?

          • cleos_mom

            Yes.

          • Mr Corrections

If you hang out on Daily Kos or (shudder) HuffPo, you will find a bunch of these people who have been posting for years before Sanders. Sad to say, they’re real.

          • Jen_Baker_VA

Oh I know, I just like to trick myself into believing that on the surface.
Sanity is a fragile thing and needs a lil bit of artificial stimulus now and again. And it ain’t legal to smoke weed in VA yet.
            YET.

          • EmmettGrogan

Yes, I’m real. And I don’t like Daily Kos etc. Just because I don’t like Hillary, I’m being attacked. What is REALLY going on here? Many of you have seen my posts for years and I’m NOT a troll or Teabagger.

          • Mr Corrections

You’re being “attacked” (gently corrected) because you’re shamelessly regurgitating Koch-brothers sourced lies about Clinton (I even gave you a link to a non-partisan takedown), while also blaming a Clinton Conspiracy for the actions of the Sanders campaign with no evidence whatsoever.

          • EmmettGrogan

I’ve been on this site for years and have posted alot. I’m 61 y.o. and have ALWAYS been a progressive Dem. My dad was one of Reagan’s biggest campaign managers and I worked in his PR office at the time even though I didn’t like Reagan. I found out how politics really works and learned how to tell propaganda/lies in media from the truth. I’ve researched the news everyday for several hours everyday for the last 15 yrs and know more than most people about the candidates. I first became aware of Sanders 15 yrs ago. Too many people here drink the kool-aid even though I have always liked the site. But being accused of being a Tea Bagger and instead of anyone asking me for sources, etc you are trying to tear me down. This article never asked any important questions and just assumed Bernie was guilty – that is simply BAD reporting and it is not objective. The piece wasn’t even funny. Now I try to tell the truth, as written by solid investigative journalists and I’m attacked.
Bottom line – I’ve lost some respect for Wonkette and some of its readers for immediately assuming Sanders is in the wrong without doing any further research on this story.

          • Mr Corrections

So we should immediately assume that Clinton Did It because (reasons). Got it.

          • Jay Vaughn

            Reason is VAG!!1!

          • Jen_Baker_VA

            btw, just so you know,
I am on Bernie’s side and do not think he is in the wrong. His campaign obviously did a bad. It does not help us, at all, to play by dirty tactics no matter who tried the same stuff in 08.

          • Spudger

Did you forget to put on the hat MissNomer so kindly gave you higher up in the thread?

I know it’s super tempting to jump onboard the “people I don’t agree with have no ethics and will do anything” crazy train, because it makes our tremendously boring, tedious and drawn out election cycles more interesting conceptually… but really, the assumption that EVERY political contest is packed full of dirty tricks, lies and tv-grade conspiracies is kind of childish.

          • EmmettGrogan

Did you even think to Google what I wrote and see if there is more to this story? Of course not, you simply defend all Dems, no matter what. I’m a lifelong Dem and don’t have to like all the Dem candidates, I prefer truth not bias.

          • Mr Corrections

I provided a link pointing out that the conspiracy theories you demand we Google have all been absolutely and totally discredited, and are based on the lies of a Koch-brothers employee. Here it is again:

            http://mediamatters.org/research/2015/04/30/twenty-plus-errors-fabrications-and-distortions/203480

            More about him:
            http://mediamatters.org/tags/peter-schweizer

You have no right to call yourself a progressive while peddling right-wing conspiracy theories.

          • Jen_Baker_VA

            Truth?
You quote bought and paid for Koch lies that have been discredited by everyone on the planet, and then claim you prefer truth not bias?
You hate Hillary, we get it.

          • Ulricii

I doubt it. I think she just read your second post denying what your first post had said and let it go at that. Why chase after Google stuff when someone contradicts himself that way? (And you still haven’t explained how you “didn’t say” what you obviously just had said. Clear up that one and we all may follow you to Google.)

          • cleos_mom

They’ve already emerged; the compulsive repetition of ‘she did it too!’ is the tipoff.

        • EmmettGrogan

I never said any of that – you did, though, not me.

          • Jen_Baker_VA

You literally just posted, right above my post, and I can still see the words so I know I am not crazy, that the data breach was instigated by camp Hillary.

” Data breach was a setup by Hillary as well,”

            See.
So yeah. You did say that. Precisely that in those very words.
I am saying it makes no sense whatsoever for her to do so. Giving one’s opponent a black eye for being a bit wrong is NOT worth the data mine.

          • cleos_mom

But to be fair, we still don’t know whether or not Hillary was responsible for the disappearance of that Malaysian airliner.

      • MissNomer

        Here, you’ll need this.

      • Liadan

Hillary didn’t set up Bernie claiming false endorsements. Hillary didn’t fire Bernie staffers for misconduct, Bernie did , with cause. Bernie has never claimed Hillary set him up, and he’s apologized for each incident of misconduct. So stop being so paranoid and turning Bernie into a victim. Makes him look bad.

  • sarah

FUCK. GUYS. You needed the most progressive (sizable) union in the US to get behind you on this election. I still have my Unite Here for Obama shirt and I was hoping to wear my Unite Here for Bernie one this year!!! asshats.

    • sarah

I know it looks like they aren’t endorsing anyone in this primary, but I was really hoping for at least a whisper campaign to encourage the rank and file to vote for Bernie. 57,000 workers is a lot of potential supporters to piss off. I hope the fakers get more punishment than just being fired.

OK, I am going to at least take seriously the claims of the campagin: “Sanders’ campaign manager, Jeff Weaver, told CNN, that staffers were wearing the union button, “in solidarity with people but they were also wearing Bernie paraphernalia.” Though Weaver maintains that to his understanding none of the staffers “ever misrepresented who they were.” He added, “That kind of conduct would not be condoned.””

      • Truthiness2U

That assumes they’ll be fired. Last time there was Sander’s campaign shenanigans it was done by four people, only one guy got fired. I’m sure the others got a stern talking to. Maybe finger wagging.

        • Joe Beese

I bet Bernie has his scolding finger insured by Lloyd’s of London.

        • cleos_mom

Finger wagging and an extra-loud harrumph.

  • richardgrabman

Politics and ethics aren’t words to be used in the same paragraph. Anyway, why shouldn’t Sanders resort to dirty tricks. Not like Hillary doesn’t.

    • Truthiness2U

Well both sides do it, so that makes it okay! We have no actual proof that Hillary’s camp is doing it this time, but last time she did, so retroactively it makes it okay forever!!1!

      • Joe Beese

While agreeing that Hillary’s past or present behavior provides no justification for this, I beg leave to doubt that her moral stature has grown in the last 8 years – especially since so much of that time was spent in such uplifting enterprises as the destruction of Libya.

        • MissNomer

So when Bernie does it, we blame his handlers, and when Hillary does it, we blame her and her alone. Got it.

    • Candy Apple

Hey, why take the high road if no one else does, amirite?

    • Zippy

Ummm, maybe because his whole campaign is based upon being “not that kind of politician” and because people should be honest, regardless if others around them aren’t?

      • Joe Beese

If he wanted to practice honesty, he sure picked the wrong fucking career.

But yeah, ethics not even entering into it, it’s damage to his brand that he can’t afford.

        • Zippy

I certainly don’t know him personally, but he seems like he is relatively honest for a politician- it’s one of his major selling points. And this kind of nonsense definitely doesn’t help that reputation

          • zanzibar_buckbuck_mcfate

We can separate the actions of the campaign from the credibility of the candidate to a certain extent. I think Bernie is a very decent man. I think his campaign manager is a weasel. It’s possible that things happened on the ground that Bernie wasn’t totally or even at all aware of.

          • Zippy

could be- the problem with that is it screams “don’t put me in charge, I’m not good at running things”

(Which is actually the thing that makes me most hesitant about him. His whole campaign has had moments when he didn’t seem to be in control of things)

          • zanzibar_buckbuck_mcfate

You’re 100% right. I don’t think he does have a true handle on how things are being run. I could go on, and on, about how I think Weaver is bungling his candidate’s potential, and how weak it makes Bernie look. Especially in contrast to Hillary’s tight ship. Which I am on. A lot. I’m VERY eager to see how many Bernie ppl show up in my smallish precinct in a very blue county in Iowa.

          • Mr Corrections

I think most of his senior campaign staff are weasels, and that they’re convincing gullible but well-meaning junior staff to do things they shouldn’t.

OK, so this is why there is such a rash of stories concerning Hillary emails in the last two days. I guess somewhere in a love note to Huma, Hillz not only planned the murder of Benghazi and Vince Foster, she also told an EPA officer to poison Flint’s water. Got it.

  • bluicebank

Not sure about this. Because if it was volunteers wearing union pins, that’s one thing. Politico quoted:

Sanders’ spokesman Michael Briggs said the campaign is looking into the
Culinary Workers’ concern. “While we do not have the information yet we
can certainly say that we would not condone people misrepresenting their
    identity,” he said.

But if Bernie Sanders ordered paid staff to go ahead and try something very silly, that’s another thing.

Also, union pins are a security measure?

    • nmmagyar

Yeah, I can see it be a bit of a security risk for VIP’s if you have no idea who is handling the food

      • Takoma DC

So many illegals in the culinary arts. So many privileged mouths to feed.

        • nmmagyar

You’d think Cons would be a bit more subtle in their insults. Haven’t they seen The Help?

      • Zippy

The venue is in charge of security- the pins are just an informal way of ID’ing people in restricted areas. BTW, people have no idea how loose things can be behind the scene in a major resort. Between the thousands of employees in dozens of different departments, the hundreds of outside vendors moving things in and out, the small army of local labor hired to assist, the hundreds of client support people doing their thing for any given event, the service corridors are a zoo. Security is actually a matter of everyone in a department knowing who is supposed to be there- though I can’t begin the number of hotel kitchens I’ve pushed gear through…

        • OneDemin EOr

But…but…that’s the way it looks in every action film with a kitchen chase scene. It really IS that way???

  • Toomush_Infer

Thank God Rand Paul is ramping back up….can he take some of these nutcases off Bernie’s hands?…

    • artem1s

unfortunately Randie has to go back to KY and file his papers for his Senate race sometime in February. He’ll spend a couple of weeks whinging about how the establishment won’t allow him to run and is forcing him out of his losing bid for the WH. Once that phase is over and he’s got his dad’s supporters (unpaid staff) properly worked up, he’ll release them into the wild to reek havoc on the rest of the world. I’m betting Bernie’s problems with out of control staff are about to get waaaaay worse.

    • cleos_mom

      “Take my volunteers…. please.”

  • Takoma DC

So a little pin gets you into restricted Culinary Union areas and the interloper then does what? Proselytizes Sanders’ platform to the employees?

  • Paperless Tiger

They were easily spotted because they weren’t not doing anything.

  • SadDemInTex

Yes, heads must roll on this one…but the campaign does have a lot of young people who ( as another commenter alluded) watch too many sitcoms and don’t even understand that it is illegal. Bernie needs to send a memo to his people to gently remind them to be upstanding citizens.

    • Takoma DC

What was the excuse in ’08 when the Clinton campaign was engaged in Baddy McBad?

And if youth is to blame, why wasn’t this a problem for either Obama campaigns?

Prolly cause the Bamz didn’t hire Weaver to lead them. That guy….

Why did the ’08 Clinton campaign engage in dirty tricks?

          • Jen_Baker_VA

I do not know, ask them? But I will note that said tricks did not work for her, so if Bernie expects to do better than she did in 08, maybe he should not rely on a war machine made of crooked gears?

          • Takoma DC

I would have no idea whom to ask. I thought you worked or used to work for his campaign or had insider knowledge. My apologies for inquiring.

Naw just a local supporter ^.^ I have 2 kids and a job and stuffies so I can’t go about the country for anyone.
Well maybe if I was paid. Think Bernie would hire an ex archaeologist/desk clerk for anything pay worthy?

          • Takoma DC

Right. I thought your job possibly ti do w/ his campaign.

Sanders worked as a carpenter. Then became VT mayor. Then VT House rep. Now he’s a candidate for U.S. Pres. Yes, I believe he’d hire you.

          • Jen_Baker_VA

SWEET. I did a stint as an apprentice carpenter for about a year. I can say stuff like stick framing with a straight face. I knew that about him already but I like to tell people that I know how to use power tools whenever I can fit it in.

Naw, I am just a volunteer ^.^ Not one of the crazy ones, I hope. Just a local going about trying to get people to register, introduce the policies, that sorta thing.
I did agree to drive a church bus for my coworker (not my church, funny story, I thought she meant like some weekend or something) come november, but since that is not the primary, pretty sure there won’t be a conflict of interest by then no matter whom gets the nod.

          • Spotts1701

Does it matter? The same result happened that happened in 2008 – the overzealous ones blew the deal for the campaign. The Culinary Union is not endorsing anyone now.

          • Takoma DC

I’m just interested in strstegies, dynamics, history repeating itself, etc……It’s called being human.

There are problems with this story. I’d say this if the offenders were Clinton’s people too.

It doesn’t make sense to me how political agents acting as legit workers can or could effectively recruit voters. So imo it doesn’t sound like a crime worth half the effort.

          • MissNomer

For the same reason the Obama campaign did.

        • jmhm

Well, but that’s also why Axelrod has a hardon for the Clintons you can see from space, so it was ever thus.

      • Truthiness2U

Look over there! Hillary is evol corporate hoar, squirrel!!

Seriously. Kinda tired of deflection every single time Bernie or his campaign does something that is either outright wrong, like this and the data theft was, or maybe just misspoken, like the PP and HRC as “establishment” (so they suck) thing.

I don’t want to see my Dem candidates be about as real on personal responsibility as a Rethug. I do expect higher than that. I mean I have my standards. Only the finest Mad Dog for me to drink, after all.

        • Mr Corrections

Today I’ve already read that this is “more Clinton dirty tricks” by someone who went on to explain that the theft of data incident was also Clinton’s fault somehow. It’s really fucking tiresome.

          • Jen_Baker_VA

            How Republican of them!

        • Takoma DC

I expect more from D candidates too. My point and only point was that youth is not the reason for campaigns resorting to dirty tricks.

No deflection. I’m sure I’ll be voting for HRC 11/16.

You could have saved yourself a lot of time and energy with your tired clichéd rant.

          • Truthiness2U

But I love wasting time with rants. Tired and cliche ones are my favourite.

But forgive if I misunderstood. I’m just used to the endless deflections (witness below) of bringing up every single thing Hillary did wrong back in 2008. And indeed from a lot of Bernie supporters in general.

Love the Bern, but not a fan of the rash of overzealous Bernie supporters.

          • Takoma DC

Ok but to be fair we should be able to compare and contrast campaigns between D candidates w/o hidden motives.

I seriously find it very strange that hard core Obama supporters could forget the slimey games HRC played in ’08.

I’m not saying you’re 1 of those people but I’ve met many in real life and virtual.

Obama had a youth brigade of volunteers, as well as paid staffers in both campaogns and I don’t recall any shenanigans.

          • Truthiness2U

Obama ran an incredibly good campaign. At the time, I’m sure you remember, some people would point to it as an accomplishment of Obama’s. That while he might have been a relative political newbie, and in the Senate, so that it’s hard to say what you personally did, that his campaign was an indication of what he could do.

And I don’t forget what Hillary did in ’08. It pissed me off, and she lost. I just am personally not here for Bernie’s campaign shenanigans now, he should be called out for it, now. If he wants to learn his lesson sooner than the Hillary of ’08 camp? all the better.

          • Takoma DC

I agree. However I’m not sure that a campaign evidence of a candidate’s presidential ability. Same as I don’t believe a SoS or Pres can be blamed for terrorist attacks.

          • Truthiness2U

I think the argument is that a campaign is a fairly executive action, as opposed to the legislative ones Obama had been part of as a Senator. Of course it’s on a much less complex level than POTUS or SoS, so how could one think one would apply to the other?

One could argue that some of the same general principals could be said to apply –being fact based (not ideologically based), being detailed-oriented, being flexible.

Well one could, but all this seriousness has been so wearying. I’m off to gets some drinkz, and watch my back episodes of Brooklyn99.

          • MissNomer

There were plenty of slimy shenanigans pulled by the Obama campaign in ’08.

I don’t remember Obama attracting fanatics. There is something about the appeal of Bernie and Trump that brings in those slightly off the wall types. Hillary attracts the ones who are willing to bend the rules, knowingly.

        • Zippy

Obama had a different flavor of fanatic. They weren’t the aggressive Bern bro or Paultard type, nor were they the surly PUMA type. They were more the starstruck groupie type that were seeing rainbows and unicorns everywhere he went. There were quite a few people who seriously painted their own hopes and dreams on him, instead of listening to what he was actually saying (e.g. “I opposed the Iraq war” vs. “I will put an end to all wars forever”). Unsurprisingly, they were the first to be crushed and disown him when the pony they were sure had been promised to them didn’t magically appear (many becoming Paultards and now Bern bros because they couldn’t figure out the real lesson- don’t make such an emotional investment in a politician, instead they ran out and looked for a new guru to follow)

It seems counter productive to the advancement of whichever cause you are working toward. That way you are prepared to surmount obstacles that crop up instead of panicking.

Is it the campaign? I do a lot of volunteer work for Sanders in CA, but the campaign isn’t even in the state. I suspect this is not the “campaign”, but some overzealous vols.

    • sw19womble

.. .that may or may not have been egged on with a nod and a wink (and nothing in writing) by Weaver’s web.

    • Zippy

Then he’s guilty of not running a tight ship. Anyone who lets volunteers run around representing the campaign without some adult supervision and guidance is a lousy leader

      • Jen_Baker_VA

I think you need to keep in mind that when this all started, people just expected Bernie to pull Hillz to the left some. Then people got excited. Ideally, you’d want a handle on all your people, but realistically, there are going to be some fringe folk who go stupid that you can’t control.

        • Zippy

True, but the reality is that candidates are judged by their ability to organize their operations and if Bernie wants to be considered a legit candidate rather than a stalking horse for the left wing of the Dem party, then he has to make that transition. Say what you will about Hillz, but she runs a very tight, professional campaign. Obama, for all the talk about his inexperience in 2008, clocked everyone when it came to the campaign game. So far, that has been a weakness for Sanders, something that will cost him votes from people on the fence.

          • Jen_Baker_VA

It may cost him some votes, but I think he is going to reign it in. Two black eyes for shady shadery when your platform is different will not set well with him. I am hoping, anyway.

          • sw19womble

Agreed. And the Dems will need a well-oiled machine whoever they come up against on the GOP side. Kerry was sunk by some nasty slurs upon his war record, and you can bet Hillary will just stare them down or even give a dismissive, schoolmarmy laugh in their face.
How would Bernie react to an attack like that?

    • lroom

That’s what I think as well.

    • Mr Corrections

Various other articles seem to say it was paid employees, not volunteers – though it’s not clear to me how they know that. The union statement is ambiguously worded, with “campaign staff”.

      • Zippy

The union wouldn’t know. From their perspective it’s ‘WTF are these outsiders doing in our private space?’

        • Mr Corrections

Yeah, I was just saying that while various articles have said that it was paid Sanders staff, I can’t find any basis for that claim, and that it may be based on an assumption that the union was saying something it didn’t actually say.

  • MissNomer

But wait, there’s more. “Bernie Sanders’ campaign has now been caught using the logo of two organizations without permission. First, the League of Conservation Voters on the above photo, is especially disingenuous given that the LCV has endorsed Bernie’s opponent, Hillary Clinton. Now the AARP logo and slogan is on a campaign mailer.”

    • Takoma DC

If true then Sanders should suspend his campaign and drop out.

How could Bernie Sanders have thought this strategy could have been pulled off for 1 hour let alone 1 day?

    • Spotts1701

Well, this is troubling…and it isn’t something that can be blamed on over-zealous volunteers. Someone very high up in the campaign hierarchy had to approve that mailer going out like that, and whoever it is better fall on their sword double-quick.

    • JaaaaaCeeeee

Wow. Bernie is going to curmugeon some heads.

I just looked into this, and there’s no way that they had any sort of case. On the other hand, this was the same group of genius lawyers that were going to sue the DNC for damages due to breach of contract, even though the contract the Sanders campaign had signed explicitly said that no damages could be claimed under any circumstances.

    • MissNomer

And even more! Bernie is running an ad that implies the Des Moines Register endorsed him. They actually endorsed Hillary.

Bernie, you’ve been trashing the Democratic Party for decades, and we were still nice enough to let you run as one of us. You’re in our house. Stop stinking up the place.

      http://www.nytimes.com/politics/first-draft/2016/01/29/bernie-sanders-trumpets-iowa-papers-praise-unsaid-it-endorsed-hillary-clinton/?_r=0

  • Like Jesus, Bernie is a great guy who should be very embarrassed by his fanclub, esp. the sexist Hilary-haters and the bargain-basement G. Gordon Liddies here. But Hilary is a Wall Street stooge and a warmonger. AND THEY’RE BOTH BETTER THAN ANY REPUB!!!

  • therblig

how do we know these aren’t trump operatives pretending to be clinton operatives pretending to be sanders operatives?

and down the rabbit hole we go…

    • MrCanoehead

I have seen one suggestion that the GOP are funding attack ads against Bernie that backhandedly highlight all the awesomeness he’s in favour of, because they want him to get the nomination. They figure he’s easier to beat than Hillary.

Personally I’ve long held the belief that a full-on left wing firebrand would do better than a moderate. Along the same lines as the GOP, the dedicated middle will vote for you anyway and a true believer will energize the fringe. Besides, people who believe in stuff are more exciting and more fun to watch.

    • Spudger

Because this is Wonkette, not InfoWars.

  • Cismontane

Bernie, stop behaving like a Republican.

    • MrCanoehead

      They’re better at it.

  • kath1y

The Bernie people are new at this. The Clinton campaign staff, old hands that they are, won’t be caught as quick. Oh, wait, you think the Clintons don’t do such things? Ha-haaaaaah!

    • Jen_Baker_VA

I thought the entire point of Bernie is that he is better than the alternative. Different. Not the same.

      • Takoma DC

I can say from a little experience, volunteers won’t make critical comments of their candidate. It’s a refreshing change.

    • Truthiness2U

Yes, Bernie’s campaign is so pure that they were caught so easily when they attempted to dirty trick (again).

But clearly it’s Hillary’s fault for being stealthier with her, thus far undetected, dirty tricks in this campaign. I blame her entirely for everything. Ever.

      • Enfant Terrible

Lack of evidence is evidence itself!!!

        • Ulricii

The best kind of evidence. It not only proves what’s being asserted, it also shows what a sneaky shitweasel the person you’re trashing really is.

      • ChaCubed

        :-))

      • Takoma DC

I blame Mr. Sanders because it’s his campaign. Also too he’s a New York Jew.

So he’s to blame for not only his sins, but those of Hillary, mine, yours, Bill’s and the gop’s.

      • artem1s

well, she gots some big shoooze to fill with everything, ever always being Obama’s fault. She is a little out of practice with that but really has more experience in this field than all the candidates put together. So completely Prezidential!

      • ibwilliamsi

“Thanks, Hillary” just doesn’t have the same ring to it as “Thanks Obama”. Maybe we can work on it.

    • Badger33

DWS is handling the dirty tricks for her. Another corporate shill.

      • Mr Corrections

        IT’S A CONSPIRACY!!!!1

        • Kavefish

          Greg Kihn Libel!!!

      • kath1y

Well, precisely. Debate schedule, for one. How do they get away with that? Oh, wait, that’s not considered a trick. It’s just the usual abusive power.

        • Mr Corrections

It’s all DWS’ fault that Sanders staffers keep breaking the law, it’s all completely clear now.

          • Badger33

            Tool.

          • Mr Corrections

Yes, just because I don’t believe in the ridiculous Koch-bros sourced conspiracy you believe in, I am obviously a tool. Probably I am a paid shill, also too – that’s usually what you people start claiming around now.

          • Grokenstein

Why, you’re probably Mr. Goldman-Sachs himself!!

The way things are going I figure in the next few weeks certain individuals around here are going to start “just asking questions” about Vince Foster and Whitewater.

          • Mr Corrections

We already had some guy regurgitate most of the thoroughly discredited Clinton Cash claims today. Apparently we’d know it was all true if we would only google.

          • Grokenstein

(pinches bridge of nose, massages painfully)

          • artem1s

Na mang, NPR is re-tooling a months long release of emails into “OMG the Fibbies are issuing subpoenas as we speak!”

          • cleos_mom

And don’t forget the 1990s accusation that “Hillary” was putting pornographic ornaments on the White House Christmas tree.

          • Ulricii

Never heard that one. I’ll add it to my next fruitcake recipe.

          • cleos_mom

And we still don’t know how DWS engineered that fiasco in Flint but have our suspicions.

        • Badger33

I am already disillusioned. If she gets the nomination, she will pivot hard right. She might even make appeals to “good, hard-working….white people” like she did in 2008. That’s when she dropped her mask and showed who she really is. Usually, she works through surrogates, like that nasty Rothschild woman who posted racist screeds on HuffPo, referring to Obama as a weak black man.

          • cleos_mom

Which GOP candidate are you supporting?

          • Badger33

            None.

        • WampusKat

So how come all the arm twisting to get him to agree to unsanctioned debate? http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/onpolitics/2016/01/27/bernie-sanders-hillary-clinton-debate-dnc-new-hampshire/79412718/

Clinton said, let’s do it. O’Malley said, “I’m in.” Bernie: “Nah, I want to milk this for all it’s worth.” The FNC can’t ban all three of them from future debates:) So let’s cut the crap and get on with a debate.

    • Dustin DeWinde

So if you’re saying both are equally crooked, but that Clinton is more competent, that’s a tacit endorsement of Clinton. Shady but competent beats shady and incompetent any day.

      • cleos_mom

The first 8 years of the millennium should have taught us that but obviously didn’t.

      • ibwilliamsi

        Sha-ZAM!

    • Relativicus

Yes, until the story breaks that says Clinton campaign staffers are pretending to be union members to gain access to union members, I think they don’t do this.

  • handyhippie65

bernie, dude. you’re killin me. your people are trying to kick your pedestal over. fer the love of all that is good, don’t let’em!

    • artem1s

shoulda never accepted a pedestal to begin with. he is operating a cult of personality now.

  • UnsaltedSinner
    • Kavefish

So, you say he’s making Gaba Gaba hay?

      • UnsaltedSinner

        Gaba-bing!

  • ObamaPhone @ Dims

Hillawy spotted running from the FBI tonight on I-95.

  • Grokenstein

“It wasn’t Bernie! It was the one-armed man!!”

    • We need someone to declare this a false flag operation. Where is Alex Jones? Bring me Alex Jones!

  • WampusKat

The #BernieBro goes international: “racism, sexism” the BBC reports BBC Trending): http://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-trending-35422316

    Europe: Thanks bunches, America:(

    • cleos_mom

“Bitch” and “psycho” are the mildest insults I’ve heard from that source.

  • gurukalehuru

Did they wash the dishes while they were back there? If so, it’s all good.

  • Relativicus

And the cavalcade of Internet conservatives comparing this to Daleiden begins… Now!

  • Dorothy Nelson

The biggest threat to Bernie’s campaign is asshole Bernie supporters. I’m serious. The Bernie Bros with their horrific sexism, the “Bernie or bust” sh*tweasels like H. A. “Goodman”, and now these scumbags.

    • MD

They are a disgusting bunch, I have to say. They are so mean and angry and nasty in how they talk about Clinton and her supporters. They are also weakening us and our overall position in a geneal.

  • cleos_mom

It’s “naughty” when one’s own candidate does it.

When it’s someone else’s candidate, the jokes about orange jumpsuits pop out like a boner at a “gentlemens’ club”.

    • ibwilliamsi

It may be ill-advised, but I don’t think it’s illegal. No orange jumpsuits required – or mentioned for that matter.

  • toomanyrappers

Elizabeth Warren can step in right now and end all of this.

    • Grokenstein

She knew better than to stick her arse into the furnace.

    • MissNomer

Yes, I would love to see the heads exploding when they find out she was a Republican until 1995.

But I am probably kidding myself, because somehow they will find a way to make it perfectly fine for Liz to have been a registered voting Republican until the age of 46, but completely unforgivable for Hillz to have “supported” Goldwater briefly to please her daddy when she was 16.

      • toomanyrappers

Clinton’s biggest stumbling block has been where she stands on issues. We aren’t Fox News knuckle draggers.

I don’t get caught up in “swift boating”.

        • MissNomer

Where she stands on issues is nearly indistinguishable from where Warren and Sanders stand. She just has more depth and breadth of knowledge on all the issues, more experience, and vastly more success in getting things done.

    • MD

I am a clinton supporter and I would vote for Warren. I wanted a woman and I am not ashamed to say I want a woman. Why not? I am sick of white men. I am sick of having men. I think I woman would do better. I wanted someone competent like Clinton. But I also wanted someone more progressive so I would love Warren. Damn it! I wish she would jump in. But she is not, so Clinton2016!

  • bah, I do not buy this crap that Bernie’s supporters are rabid pit bulls or foul mouthed bros or misogynists or whatever. Are we racist as well? The fact is many of HC’s supporters are completely blind to how problematic she is and dismiss entirely the fact (fact) that she is not only not progressive but not even liberal. It’s enough for them that a medusa raft of nut jobs hate and attack her for all the wrong reasons. But what the Clintonites don’t get is that the actual left has despised the Clintons for many good reasons since the mid ninties.

    • Grokenstein

      the actual left

As opposed to the the false left, AKA the insufficiently progressive. Depart from Bernie, ye cursed! There shall be a totaling of sums, and a snapping of necks, and ye shall count thyselves among the damned! …Squirrel!

      • well, yes. It isn’t a joke. If you have Reaganite policies, you are not “left”. There’s a tremendous amount of literature on this subject, but you’re certainly free to ignore it and be a horses ass in perpetuity.

        • Grokenstein

Thank you for your permission! Just as everyone eventually ends up being a pinko in Ann Coulter’s eyes, I’m sure everyone will wind up Reaganite in the eyes of you and all the other progressiver-than-thous.

Here’s Jezebel talking about that “crap” you do not buy.
          http://theslot.jezebel.com/bernie-sanders-campaign-is-concerned-about-the-berniebr-1755911898

The Berniebro is now what happens when Reddit eats a fairly liberal, if irritatingly opinionated white guy, and spits him out. He is tired, he is covered in boils, and he is intent on destroying Hillary Clinton by any. means. necessary. And he is making the campaign look bad.

(Just for the record, as I am an Old I prefer the term “Bernie Babies.”)

        • Mr Corrections

“Reaganite” = “not as pure as me”

          • MissNomer

Ideological purity is a helluva drug.

          • cleos_mom

            Complete with morning-after bloody sheet.

        • MD

and it has begun. The SAME thing that has basically destroyed the republicans (the tea party) movement is here with dems. What I do not get is why do you even care about what happens in a dam nomination process?> you are not a dem. you are an independent as you see us as too conservative. So start your own official party and get to stepping.

    • Dorothy Nelson

Lemme guess… You’re a “Bernie or I’m not voting” purist?

    • A Grumpy Cat

Look, I doubted this as well, until I spent some time actually interacting with them online. I know damn well there are some good Bernie supporters, but there are a fucking buttload of angry, whiny, bullying “Berniebots” out there. They’ve told me I’m not a true Scotsm- I mean, liberal. They’ve told me that I’m only voting for Hillary because she’s a woman. They’ve called me retarded. They’ve called me a dumb cunt. They’ve declared that if Bernie doesn’t win the primary, they just won’t vote. They’ve posted the kind of bullshit “hey Hillary ur husband doesn’t want to bang u bcuz ur so ugly lolololl” memes I expect from TRUMP supporters. One told me to kill myself. So yeah, there are quite a few Bernie supporters – or at least people claiming to support him – who are giant fucking assholes.

And I’m really tired of people accusing Hillary of not being a “true” liberal. Fuck that shit. She doesn’t have to be teetering on the edge of the platform to be liberal. Frankly, a lot of Bernie’s proposed policies are just impractical and he’s still trying to keep everything about income inequality. It’s important, but it’s not the whole enchilada. (I’m sure by saying this, I’m gonna get someone accusing me of not being a “real” liberal. I give no fucks.)

Bernie also seriously crossed a line with me when he got butthurt over HRC & PP’s endorsement of Hillary. Calling them the “establishment”? Fuck you, Bernie. He could have handled those endorsements in a much classier fashion, stating that he knows the HRC & PP had a hard decision, or whatever, because the Dems are the party of equality & fighting for abortion rights, blah blah, congrats Hillary, whatever. He’s acting like a spoiled child who didn’t get the toy he wanted.

Right now, Bernie is acting too much like TRUMP. That’s a goddammned problem.

    • ibwilliamsi

Grumpy Cat makes some very good points. They both have their good points and their bad points. I will vote for the one that gets the nomination. It’s important that we get the Republicans out of the House & Senate, either way.

I’ll prolly vote for Trump in my primary because I really want Trump to be on the ballot as the R candidate and I would love to fuck with those asshats.

    • Mr Corrections

“how problematic she is” = “she is leading in the polls by a huge amount”

    • Ulricii

      “The actual left”?
I take it that means “People who think like I do.”

      • r m reddicks

Nah. It’s a turn of phrase. Left of neo-liberals and neo-cons. Again I don’t have the Bern. He is more interesting. At least interesting in a positive way. I say let’s move towards the politics of dancing and having fun. That old 74 year old Jewboy dances better than the rest anyway. Molotov.

        • MD

You know, it’s insulting to call us Neo-liberal. Most of us who support Clinton are older than Sander supporters so if anyone is a NEO anything it would be Sander supporters. And the fact that you associated us with neo-cons as though we are even close to that conservative is disgusting. I actually find myself hating Sanders because what does it say about him that he attracts ideologues and extreme purists like a left wing version of the tea party. There are 310 million people in this country. Thinking your way of seeing the world id the only way is the same stupidity that is destroying the republican brand. Don’t eat your own and don’t attack people just because they do not line up exactly with you.

          • r m reddicks

Well now it’s easy to understand you are A Idiot. Perhaps A IdiotBot

          • Mr Corrections

Why get abusive? Why not think about your assumptions? What is it about that that is too hard for you?

          • Mr Corrections

I guess you couldn’t answer this, and instead just chose to go around insulting people some more. Weird, but not surprising.

          • venezia59

You are my new hero. Thank you.

        • Mr Corrections

How is enforcing ideological purity a progressive thing to do? Just wondering!

    • venezia59

Of course, you don’t buy it as an anti-Hillary person. You’ve never experienced it. As an undecided liberal, I have, and it ain’t pretty. Many of Bernie’s Bots are the worst kind of trolls: sexist, fanatical, bullying, intolerant, argumentative, and yes–at times racist. Just ask African Americans who tried to have a Twitter discussion with Bernie supporters after the Black Lives Matter incident. The condescending attitude of white liberal privilege on the part of Bernie supporters turned my stomach. That’s not limited to AA’s, however. ANY criticism of Bernie is met with this attitude that Berniebots know better than we do, and we should just shut up. The other day I said I was undecided, and a Bernie supporter demanded to know why I was voting for Hils (never said I was) and then proceeded to “educate” me with the pro-Sanders Robert Reich video because I was clearly so misinformed. I have been told by that I am only considering Hillary because I’m a woman and she has a vagina. I have heard her called a bitch, a c*nt, a sociopath, “evil”–names you wouldn’t hear her called were she a man. I try to separate the Bots from their candidate, because there are things I like about Bernie and I think he would not agree with alienating undecided people. But trust me, they are obnoxious.

    • cleos_mom

      Yes.

  • Bernie is about as sharp as a pool noodle.

  • The Culinary Union was planning to make a big splash by endorsing Chafee right before the Nevada primary, but, uh, that didn’t work out.

  • r m reddicks

You jumped on that kind of quick the other day. I’m don’t feel the Bern but I don’t get this quick hit without any supporting evidence. Sounds like ACORN and PP to me. Hell, it could be HRC.

  • Steverino247

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/apnewsbreak-govt-finds-top-secret-clinton-emails-194823520.html

Just a bit more important than posing at culinary union members, I’d say.

    • Mr Corrections

Except that – in your attempt to smear Clinton because SANDERS MUST BE PROTECTED, QUICK CHANGE THE TOPIC HILLARY IS JUST AS BAD YOU GUYS – you didn’t actually listen to what the nice man said. They are retroactively classifying emails. There continues to be no crime there, no matter how many times you credulously buy into the Fox News party line.

Go back to righteously telling me off because Sanders never said a mechanical goat was going to eat the Sun, please – that was just as sad but at least it was funny.

      • Steverino247

And Sanders supporters are accused by you as over-reacting? Whew!

I’m not attempting to smear Mrs. Clinton. I’m saying the email issue is more serious than the culinary posing, which it certainly is. I understand classification of documents better than most people because I used to do that for a living. So, forgive me for applying some expertise on this subject. Guess what: It’s serious. Whether there is a crime here is still not certain. Poor judgment IS certain and Mrs. Clinton has previously admitted as much. My source wasn’t Fox News, by the way. My source was the United States Department of State which you would know if you had bothered to look at the link I posted before you became enraged. I find your out of control over-reaction and projection to be tiresome, not amusing. But hey, it’s a free country. Project all you want. And as Walter Sobchak might say, “I’m calmer than you.”

        • r m reddicks

Either the Hillrots have lost their snark or there’s a lot of people being bused in on the dear Wonkette. I blame it on the big bang.

          • r m reddicks

I still don’t know why Evan jumped all over that without any reasonable proof. He said losing his snarkability.

          • Mr Corrections

One of the main reasons I stopped supporting Sanders was I was tired of being called a Hillary supporter just because I refused to put her down with fake conspiracy theories at every opportunity. So, you know, this thing you are doing – trying to push Clinton out because you have no faith that Sanders can win fairly – is the opposite of helping his campaign.

Just thought you’d like to know!

          • MD

Me too!!!!!!! i actually wanted Warren and liked Sanders but after seeing the type of people he incited, I decided to go to Clinton. It’s not a good sign.

          • Mr Corrections

Sanders is mostly great, if overly focused on one topic – but he’s shown really lousy abilities when it comes to selecting his campaign staff, and too little in the way of leadership when it comes to both their actions and those of his supporters (to be fair, he HAS said multiple times that Clinton is infinitely preferable to a Republican, but they don’t seem to be listening).

          • McHitler (formerly Nuke90210)

Again: focus on the issues they wish to tackle and how they’re going to tackle them, not on the fans of either candidate. Honestly, if a candidate was supported by Hitler but had very good policy ideas, I’d vote for him.

          • McHitler (formerly Nuke90210)

So… you stopped supporting Sanders because people were criticizing Hillary? Maybe you should vote based on their POLICY DECISIONS over their supporters.

          • Mr Corrections

No, I stopped because gross dudes like you were calling her “slut” (like you just did above); I don’t want any part of that woman-hating crap.

          • McHitler (formerly Nuke90210)

I’m not hating her because she’s a woman; I’m hating her because she’s a corporate slut. When I use the word “slut” in this context, it is to highlight that she will do anything that her big daddy corporation doners tell her. Just like Ted Cruz, MArco Rubio, Jeb Bush, etc. Being a corporate slut has no gender, and for you to reduce the conversation to “oh you just don’t like her because she’s a woman” is simply pathetic and dishonest.

          • MD

Why attack Clinton or her supporters? If she wins, you only weaken her chances in the general. I swear to goodness i am hating sanders supporters. I swear, no better than republicans the way they are attacking their own.

          • r m reddicks

Where was I attacking Clinton supporters?

          • Mr Corrections

Literally every post you’ve made today?

          • r m reddicks

Supporting neither and disliking some Clinton is an attack? I will admit I do not like the Clinton.

          • Mr Corrections

Gosh, really? I could hardly tell!

          • r m reddicks

Glad you’re awake. Now it’s time to say good night. Good night, sleep tight.

          • Mr Corrections

OK, drink plenty of water for that impending hangover!

          • r m reddicks

Sorry. Slow fingers. Meant Hillbots. Not in terms of people actually posting. Just bots doing whatever it is that bots do. You could program them yourself (or at least easier than I). They just all sound so much the same it seems normal to assume they come from bots or talking points. Not so different from either side or direction. But isn’t it time for some fun?

            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eabefjsJsAQ

          • McHitler (formerly Nuke90210)

Clinton is just as bad as the republican end of the spectrum, though. She’s a corporate slut, just like the right, and is a moderate dem at best.

          • Mr Corrections

            Haha wow, you’re fucking gross.

          • cleos_mom

Whenever I hear/read the word “slut”, I picture a guy still on that bar stool long after Last Call For Alcohol.

          • McHitler (formerly Nuke90210)

How..? What, is that not accurate? She’ll do anything for donor money, just like the republican male candidates.

          • Mr Corrections

It’s not acceptable to be a misogynist.

          • Mr Corrections

And Dok has been quite clear about this thread.

        • Mr Corrections

“I’m not attempting to smear Mrs. Clinton”
Of course not, none of you are, it is just a weird coincidence how every time the Sanders campaign does something wrong you show up to badmouth her.

          • Steverino247

I’ve done no such thing. It’s a serious news story brought out by the Department of State. You’re outraged that your trolling of Sanders supporters isn’t working. Your narrative has us all out of control, yet you’re the one over reacting and shrieking in all caps. Rave on, brother. Rave on.

          • Mr Corrections

OK sorry I mistook your dull Fox News bleating for the partisan hackery it exactly resembles, obviously it is just a coincidence that you do this every single time.

          • Steverino247

Your efforts to troll me will continue to fail. I’ve given my source as the Department of State, but you desperately continue to slander me with Fox News. You are the person who reacts angrily to anything you feel threatens your bubble when it comes to Mrs. Clinton. Mr. Sanders is imperfect and I’m okay with that. Rave on, troll. Rave on.

          • Mr Corrections

Is this the same source that told you Bernie never claimed he was going to stop a giant mechanical space goat by becoming the New Sun? Because I would have gotten away with it if it wasn’t for that meddling Fed!

PS: I’ve never gotten angry with you; I really don’t care what you think, I’m just not going to let you get away with lying. You, on the other hand, post such charming and witty comebacks as “Fuck off”.

          • Steverino247

So, you admit that you will continue to troll me here? I’ve not lied about anything, yet you respond with personal attacks while claiming you don’t care what I think. Oh, I think you care very very much or you would have dropped the personal attacks long ago.

Now, back to the subject which I raised. Here’s the State Department’s statement on the latest email issue: http://video.state.gov/en/video/4728578385001. I expressed the opinion that this was more serious than anything that might have been done in Nevada by members of Sanders’ campaign. This caused you to go berserk and launch into ad hominem attacks, including accusing me of being a devotee of Fox News. I have extensive experience handling classified documents and the actions of Mrs. Clinton with respect to classified material has been sloppy to say the least. If I see something that is not marked classified, but yet I know it should be classified or could be considered classified, I have a duty to treat it as such and take immediate action to secure that information. This was not done. The idea of retroactive declaration as some excuse for not doing so is a specious argument. The idea that Mrs. Clinton would not know what is or should be classified is absurd as all persons with access to classified information are read on to that level and sign statements acknowledging the consequences of failing to safeguard material of that classification. Certainly she has been privy to sufficient classified information to be able to know what should be classified even if the material is not marked as such. There’s no getting around that. She should have known the material should have been classified.

          • Mr Corrections

OK sorry, there’s been a misunderstanding – I’m not really interested in whatever Koch brothers conspiracy theory you’re peddling, so I’m sure as hell not going to read that wall of crazy. Sorry you lack all confidence in Sanders!

          • Steverino247
          • Mr Corrections

Weird you’d say that exact insult, because you’re the one posting huge walls of incomprehensible gibberish. I guess after taking an obvious joke about space goats seriously there’s no real way of getting back the high ground, though!

          • Steverino247

High ground? You’re not interested in that since you obviously enjoy trolling people in order to get them to act in such a way as to meet your expectations of them. I’m not the only person you’re abising in this way. Your disqus profile is full of examples of how you’re enjoying all this trollinng you’re doing.

Trolling: to make a deliberately offensive or provocative online posting with
the aim of upsetting someone or eliciting an angry response from them. This is exactly what you’re doing here.

          • Mr Corrections

What have I said that is offensive or provocative? Remember, you’re the guy who was telling me to “fuck off”, which is hardly the moral high ground.

          • McHitler (formerly Nuke90210)

Honestly I was kind of on the fence with this issue, Mr Corrections, but after reading what you just wrote, I’m disappointed in you. the guy above you has a point: Clinton’s issue here seems to be a lot more serious than this issue with Sanders, yet Wonkette chooses to focus on the smaller issue of a specific candidate rather than this potentially more serious issue concerning Clinton.

I can criticize Sanders all day, from his improper means of implementing a national minimum wage to his legalization policies, but this article is kind of just… well… nothing.

The only issues I’ve seen with Sander’s Campaign practices come from the actions of a few staff members. The claim that Bernie was snooping through Clinton files? The one guy who did it was fired immediately, and I assume that this issue will result the same way.

Honestly, take a moment and recognize something: if you are so willing to disregard someone’s comment with ease, don’t be surprised when people frame you as a troll.

          • Sheesko

Bernie’s volunteers get themselves what they thought was a clever idea and went with it. This is hardly Watergate material with Sanders himself assigning roles to the conspirators. It’s being blown way out of proportion. On the other hand, Clinton’s management of her top-secret emails was under her direct control and is an example of poor judgment on her part. One may ascribe this poor judgment to hubris or not; that doesn’t matter. What matters for us is SHE blew it, versus somebody 18 layers removed from Sanders blew it. Huge difference.

          • venezia59

His volunteers are supervised by campaign managers who should know better. And if they don’t, that’s just as bad because it means they’re amateurs. Yes, compared to Clinton-style dirty politics, this is small potatoes. But Bernie is running on his integrity. We hear ad nauseum about how honest he was, how he isn’t a typical politician, how he is above dirty tricks. So even a small ethics breach looms large because he has set his own bar very high.

          • McHitler (formerly Nuke90210)

If only Wonkette would see it this way.

          • Steverino247

            Troll on.

So, how much have you donated to Mrs. Clinton’s campaign? Or to Wonkette, for that matter?
Put your money where your mouth is. I’m up to about $400 for Mr. Sanders and you inspire me to send more.

          • Mr Corrections

“Not taking an idiot seriously” is not the same thing as trolling; that’s the only thing I’m guilty of, I’m afraid.

            I hope that helps!

          • Steverino247

            Still trolling. By definition:

make a deliberately offensive or provocative online posting with
the aim of upsetting someone or eliciting an angry response from them. You’re a troll. Period.

          • Mr Corrections

OK, sorry you can’t seem to find anything I said that’s offensive or provocative. You getting mad does not mean I am trolling you, it just means you have anger management issues (manifestly so).

  • r m reddicks

Youch! This is a seriously creepy anti-Sanders/pro-Clinton commentariat. How very strange. Of course I only read the 1st 100 non-comments. The Clintonians seem quite distressed and quite vicious. I don’t see the same from the Sanders side. And again I don’t suffer the Bern. But then there are a lot of new (to me – I’ve been here for short of a year) commenters non-commenting. So much for expansion.

    • Mr Corrections

Yes, reporting when the Sanders campaign fucks up is exactly the same as supporting Clinton.

      • MissNomer

Well, only to the extent that Sanders supporters don’t report, they deflect.

      • r m reddicks

Well, thank the good glorious sky sheheit I was right once. I’m only asking (you, even) where is your proof? You can have Bernie since it seems you’re hungry. All yours. You cook like shit.

        • Mr Corrections

Why does reporting what the union says require proof? Baffling.

          • r m reddicks

            I think you’ve offered your tell. You’re a 404.

          • r m reddicks

My apologies. You’re dickus came up 404 about 5 times in a row and then came up. I do think you’re off the marks. And I don’t understand your “Why does reporting what the union says require proof? Baffling” bit.

          • Mr Corrections

I have no idea what you’re trying to say.

          • r m reddicks

            Obviously.

          • Mr Corrections

Yes, it IS obvious that you’re posting incoherent gibberish. I can’t be held accountable for failing to comprehend your sentence fragments.

          • Mr Corrections

So to sum up, we should never report anything bad the Sanders team does, but HILLARY EMAIL BENGHAZI VINCE FOSTER. Sure, that seems fair and definitely progressive.

          • r m reddicks

How about the same amount of proof of Sanders supposed forays as the proof of any of your CAPS above? I mentioned that Evan Hurst jumped in with no proof. You could well be employed to great benefit by any senate investigation and investigators from what I’ve read of you so far.

          • Mr Corrections

Please speak in coherent sentences, it’s much easier to follow.

  • r m reddicks

The wonkette. My dear old wonkette. Hijacked without hope of ransom by strange, very strange Hillary Clinton folk. Was it the expansion or has the dear wonkette been targeted? They aren’t even any fun, these folks.

    • r m reddicks

I’ll not give you away, Wonkette, like a cheap strumpette cruzing his way towards a blond bush. I’m apauled. Is there no sanctorum? Wherever shall I Kasich my useless Fiorinas?

O, I huck, huck, huck, up a bee and and he stings the lovely Kim. Within Christie I see a Julie screaming to be released. So I’m off to Julie Christie! Catch ya’ later!

      • Mr Corrections

        Sober up.

        • r m reddicks

Why get abusive? Why not think about your assumptions? What is it about that that is too hard for you?

          • Mr Corrections

Haha I get it, well-meaning advice is exactly the same as when you started calling people idiots for not agreeing with you! What a hilarious joke, considering!

          • r m reddicks

            Point that out please.

          • r m reddicks

I seem to recall I called you A idiot.

          • Mr Corrections

No, you called MD an idiot. I mean, I get that it’s hard to recall exactly who you were insulting when you’re this drunk.

    • Mr Corrections

“Hijacked” by people who have been here years & insist that we not make up stuff! Oh no!

      • r m reddicks

Glad you’ve found a place to stay. We all need one.

        • Mr Corrections

I’ve been here since this site was part of Gawker. You don’t own it, and you don’t get to insist that it never publish articles that mention things you’d rather not hear.

          I hope that helps!

          • Steverino247

You can be banhammered for trolling however, so do keep it up.

          • Mr Corrections

Again, I’ve never “trolled” anyone (at least not on purpose – I didn’t seriously think anyone would believe that Bernie was claiming he would fight a goat in space to protect the Sun, but I guess when you’re super mad about people daring not to agree with you you will shout at people for anything). Hell, I’ve never once yet said a bad word about Sanders – I just don’t think that people should be shitheads about the other candidates.

You, on the other hand, have been incredibly abusive, and kinda paranoid. Your allies here are a guy who calls Hillary a slut, and someone who is so drunk or high that I cannot follow a single goddam thing they are saying. Maybe time to calm down a little?

          • Steverino247

All you’ve done for the last 24 hours or so is troll people here. You’re accusing them of being drunk, of being plants for the Koch brothers, of misogeny, etc. You’ve said plenty of bad things about Mr. Sanders over the past few days, but pointing out facts isn’t why you’re here. You’re here to harass people and have done so fairly relentlessly. You project what others say about your behavior onto them. You’re the very definition of an internet troll and have no interest in discussing issues or ideas.

          • Mr Corrections

I said a person who called Hillary a slut was a misogynist. I never accused anyone of being plants, just of credulously posting conspiracy theories that the Koch brothers have been documented as creating. You are saying that because I don’t believe you I am trolling; I assure you that is not the case. I don’t believe you because you’re wrong and abusive.

          • doktorzoom

Guys, a suggestion: Give it a rest. It is not necessary to refute or reply to everything that another person with whom you disagree has posted. This comment thread is becoming tiresome, and it looks more like cheap points-scoring than a conversation.

          • Mr Corrections

Sorry, I’m peversely fascinated by … well, whatever that is. I promise I’ll never post anything about Bernie battling mechanical space monsters again (also I will donate $100 if you add that to the rules).

          • doktorzoom

Oh, yeah, that’s definitely in the rules now. Err, don’t bother reading ’em, it’s implied.

          • Mr Corrections

            Secret Rule 5a.

          • Steverino247

You’re trolling and you know it. You’re accusing people of doing things they’ve not done in order to get a rise out of them in order to justify your opinion of them as fanatics.

          • cleos_mom

When it’s embarrassing, it’s always a “plant”. And We’re Not All Like That.

      • r m reddicks
        • Mr Corrections

Sleep tight! Sorry your preferred candidate’s is incapable of running a presidential campaign!

          • r m reddicks

You’re really ill. I’m sorry. You’re not enjoyable. No wonder. So the rest is all yours.

          • Mr Corrections

Oh I thought you were leaving, not hanging around failing to back up anything you say. Sorry you’re like this!

          • r m reddicks

Oh, now I remember who you are.

          • McHitler (formerly Nuke90210)

To be fair, Wonkette does hold a pretty strong pro-hillary bias despite the fact she’s a corporate shill.

          • Mr Corrections

Wonkette doesn’t have a bias in favour of either candidate, and neither (as it happens) do I.

          • Steverino247

Because you’re here to troll us all.

          • Mr Corrections

            Nope.

          • McHitler (formerly Nuke90210)

Bollocks through and through. Your later comments show this.

          • cleos_mom

Are you still cheating on your income tax?

            I mean, let’s be FAIR.

  • RecreationalPilot

The beauty of this thread is that it kept Mr Corrections from doing anything productive.

    • Mr Corrections

Unless you count the mobile phone app I wrote in the last couple days; another five digit sum in the bank.

      I hope that helps!

  • Sheesko

Oh dear Wonkette, dear DEAR Wonkette, how I do love you. But you are clearly favoring Hillz in this race. Not that you shouldn’t have covered this incident, which is O_o, and thank you for including a reference to something equally O_o done by “The State One” in ’08, but your preference is showing.

  • doktorzoom

I’m rather astonished by the vitriol from people supporting both candidates here. Frankly, it’s surprising to me that so many of you are still going at each other two days after the post went up. I’m about ready to close comments on the thread.

Play nice, people. stop calling each other drunks, mental midgets, idiots, trolls, fools, defectives, empty-headed animal food trough wipers, and the like. It’s really not necessary for you to angrily reply to every damn thing someone else says. Give it a rest. Better yet, WON’T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE POOR SLEEP DEPRIVED COMMENTS MODERATOR?

As Doc Daneeka put it so eloquently: “What about ME?”

    • Truthiness2U

How can comments now be closed, when they were never allowed? QED Wonkette is in the bag for O’Malley.

      (I’m on to you guys)

    • Shane

      Dok,

It’s only caustic due to the fact that so many of us want to support either/both candidates in opposition to the right… but… to watch our favorite liberal rag take an obvious bias.. is… as stated… caustic.

When Sanders had an obvious lag in the poll numbers it seemed as if the ol’ Wonkette (and her unauthorized commenting minions) were more than happy to pay snarky and humorous lip-service to the ‘also ran.’ However, as the race has tightened the bias has become more tangible.

This article and the fact that there is no “Uh Oh, Hillary Called for the Condemnation of Edward Snowden While Simultaneously Being Naughty and Exposing Classified Info on Her Home Gaming System” article seems to kind of verify the bias.

And before you run to the defense and say, “It wasn’t classified when she did it and is only classified now,” I have to ask… do you really believe that crap?

      Come on, seriously?

If I were to say, “I have all the answers that would clear me but they are located in this magic box but I cannot show you the interior of the magic box because my persecutors won’t let me,” would you buy that? “All of the answers are right there,” I say confidently… because I know… you will never be allowed to see “there.”

We all watched the same illogical process utilized to support the invasion of Iraq. We all watched as Clinton and every other political slob (save one Bernie Sanders) follow this illogical process into a devastating war that cost us, the middle east, and the world… horrid repercussions. And you guys really want to continue this cognitive dissonance?

While we all understand that Rebecca is a feminist (a title we would all hopefully like to claim), blind, rabid feminist seems to be the aim of what is “trending” on the ol’ Wonkette.

I don’t vote for genitalia. And… apparently… neither does roughly a fifth of the American population.

That “fifth” of America comes solely out of the liberal base. If you want to continue being a liberal rag, our liberal rag, THE liberal rag, then get your eff*ing sheet together and attack only the Cons… OR… criticize equally.

We liberals, yeah… we want equality. We won’t stomach anything less.

      (Banhammer in 3…2…)

      • doktorzoom

Well, I know I can’t convince you that we’re not in the tank for Hillary — we really are officially neutral, and individual Wonkette writers support different candidates, but I would point out that we didn’t give two shits about Hillz’s emails long before Bernie got into the race. It looked like Republicans grasping at a fake scandal then, and it looks like Republicans grasping for a fake scandal now.

Sorry, not gonna banhammer you either. People have been entirely too enthusiastic in calling for fellow progressives to be banned for life.

        • Shane

Ok, you’ve won me. I just can’t quit ya.

(And yes, you can convince me. And yes, you did.)

          That being said… I have to argue… in a hopefully well-meaning way… that…

Your readers, judging from my observations of comments on this site from day one, don’t start here. They start at Huffpo, WashPo, NYT, MSNBC, CNN, BBC, Slate, Salon, NYDaily, RawStory, POLITICO, Fox, etc.. and they end up here specifically for the bias they know they want and need… the unashamed, unabashed liberal slant. You guys are good (Nay… the pinnacle of excellence) at attacking the lunacy of the Cons. Stick to that. We need that.

That being said… All of these sites, liberal or con, are reporting on the email issue as a priority. While some of the sites have mentioned the Vegas/Union Sanders issue, it has not taken anywhere near the precedence given to it by Wonkette. (You post roughly five to six articles a day…. and you chose this as something to mention while it’s buried everywhere else.)

Whether you give two shits or not, the Clinton email fiasco is an issue of far greater importance than 4 or 5 campaigners wearing union pins.

I am an Army veteran (under Bush, Clinton, and Bush MKII), worked solely in Intelligence, answered to the NSA and not the DOD, and I have to tell you that the sloppy handling (and I use the term ‘sloppy’ simply to be nice) of classified material by the POTUS is a g-damned nightmare.

We have seen sloppy handling and a disregard for the importance of Intelligence in previous administrations. We ignored what should be regarded as the greatest prophets of all time… the American Intelligence community that predicted every single Middle Eastern event happening right now.. in favor of not giving a shit.

And… you want to give a pass, not “give two-shits,” to someone aspiring to be the POTUS who, before even making a policy decision… is claiming the Intelligence community is wrong… and they are right.

We’ve done this scenario. It led us into the Iraq war, thousands of our soldiers maimed or dead, hundreds of thousands of Iraqis maimed or dead… cuz… we didn’t give two shits.

A blatant disregard for SCI material is not something we should give ‘two-shits’ about.

However, I will begrudgingly give two-shits about it… if it means defeating the likes of Trump and Cruz, Bush the 3rd and the Koch brothers. These a-holes will not only give two-shits about international Intelligence… they won’t give two shits about domestic intelligence.. or basic science.

Wonkette is a palate cleanser after a buffet of sites lacking clear distinction. You guys have been historically distinct in your (and our) opposition to right-wing favored ignorance. When you (seem to) go after our own guys though… yeah… the distinction gets hazy.

Please, please, please…. stick to the cons. We (meaning Americans… but not so much foreigners) can all survive a Clintonesque, Bush the 1st lackadaisical, mildly sloppy approach to Intelligence in regard to international issues. We cannot survive a blatant disdain for fact.

And for hecks sake, get a better representation of Bernie than the “Bill the cat meets Doc from BTTF” if you want to argue parity. Seriously… Hillary as Joan of Arc and Bernie as a homeless guy with an RC/Violin/WTF. Come on. COME ON!

It’s like you guys know my weakness for blondes in plate armor and play on that shit.

          • skwirrl

Please elaborate on the “mildly sloppy” handling of intelligence from CIA director HW Bush. Cause I’m betting you’re full of shit and the most you did in the intel world is blow Breanna Manning

        • skwirrl

Lol Republicans grasping for fake scandal. Any of her underlings having kept top secret info on a public server would be in Leavenworth. Of course you also don’t mention Bernie is a war criminal who had the unmitigated gall to extol the virtues of communism to kidnapped child soldiers who’d had their arms and legs blown off when forced to fight by his communist brothers and sisters. As one who provided material support to a regime that was committing war crimes, that makes Bernie a war criminal. A crime punishable by death.

    • RC

thanks for the heads up Doc…..I was going to read the comments but if they are so bad you have to comment when there are no comments I think I’ll pass. I’d rather not see blood spilled by people who are suppose to have some damn civility and be better then the GOP.

    • Dorothy Nelson

Amen, Dok… this silly Foxified name-calling ain’t right when we’re talking about 2 candidates that, by far, outshine even the ?sanest? GOP candidate out there.

Bernistas and Clintonites, can’t we all just get along? C’mon, group hug.

  • Thad Revitt

I love watching the dumbocrats devouring each other. It’s easy to see that wonk-ville prefers Shrillary over the Bernster maybe because you have yet to come to terms with your collective inner socialist beliefs. I personally am puling for Bernie I prefer an honest borderline communist over a foul mouth lying b world like Clinton.

    • MarkM

Can I ask you a serious question? How is it that that Republican dumbasses such as yourself are almost invariably incapable of writing ANYTHING without egregious spelling errors, appalling grammar and an apparent inability to use proper punctuation? When you are able to meet these bare minimum standards to engage in some sort of rational written discourse, by all means get back to me. Until then, don’t waste my time…

  • Gumption Hummingbird
  • skwirrl

Dumbocrats more honest than Republicans LOL The more left you go the more underhanded tricks and propaganda are used.

  • Tyler

There’s literally no mention of the fact the casino bosses had employees listen to Bill Clinton as their paid work assignment and then the caucuses were held in the casinos, no secret ballot, cameras everywhere. This doesn’t raise concerns at all? I am a culinary worker and member of Unite Here Local 8. Apparently Bernie ended up winning at the Clark County convention because thousands of Hillary delegates didn’t show up and a few even changed their votes, makes you wonder if some of them never wanted to vote for Hillary in the first place.
