Sarah Palin: It's Obama's Fault My Drunk Son Punched His Girlfriend, For America

Good news! Sarah Palin recovered from Tuesday's hangover just in time to make it to Donald Trump's afternoon rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Bad news? Sarah Palin made it to the rally and opened her mouth, and this is what came out of it:

When I talk about a commander in chief who will never leave our men and our women behind, let me get a little bit personal on this. Um, I'm talkin' about not leaving our wounded warriors behind also. Our wounded warriors who come home from the battlefield, bringing new battles with them. Our wounded warrior, sometimes in body and in mind, coming back different than when they left for the war zone.

I can talk personally about this. I guess it's kind of the elephant in the room because my own family, going through what we're going through today, with my son, a combat vet, having served in a striker brigade, fight for you all, America, in the war zone.

Track Palin, the eldest child of former Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska, was arrested and charged in a domestic violence case in which his girlfriend said he punched her in the head and threatened to fire a rifle, court and police documents said. [...]

Mr. Palin’s girlfriend, according to the affidavit, was found hiding under a bed. She told another officer who arrived at the house that Mr. Palin hit her on the left side of the head near her eye with a closed fist and that she then curled up in a fetal position, “because she didn’t know what else he would do.”

The woman said Mr. Palin kicked her on the knee and threw her phone, according to the affidavit. He then went inside, cocked a gun with his right hand near the trigger and his left hand next to the barrel, which was pointed to the side, and said, “do you think I won’t do it?” the woman told the police. She added that she was worried that Mr. Palin would shoot himself.

But my son, like so many others, they come back a bit different, they come back hardened, they come back wondering if there is that respect for what it is that their fellow soldiers and airmen and every other member of the military, so sacrificially have given to this country, and that starts from the top, it's a shame that our military personnel even have to wonder, if they have to question if they're respected anymore. It starts from the top, the question, though, that comes from our own president, where they have to look at him and wonder: do you know what we go through, do you know what we're trying to do to secure America and to secure the freedoms that have been bequeathed us!

We don't disagree. It's a hell of shame when the commander in chief shows an obvious lack of respect for the troops who've gone off to fight in his war, like Track Palin did, when he deployed to Iraq in September 2008, under President George W. Bush. But do go on, Ms. Palin:

So when my own son is going through what he goes through coming back, I can certainly relate with other families who kinda feel these ramifications of some PTSD and some of the woundedness that our soldiers do return with, and it makes me realize more than ever: It is now or never, for the sake of America's finest, that we have that commander in chief who will respect them and honor them.

Like Donald Trump, who said John McCain, the man who made Sarah Palin world-famous by sticking her on his ticket (Never Forget!), was a giant loser pussy for getting captured in the Nam, and Trump only likesrealmilitary heroes, like Trump, who served America by getting his teenage butt sent off to a real tough prep school.

That was good enough for Sarah last July, when she said that McCain is a hero, but so is Trump, "in another arena." And clearly, it's more than good enough for her now, as she stumps her way across America with Trump, blaming President Obama for Bush's war and for turning her allegedly criming-while-Palin son's ass into a lady-beater.

If this is how you Make America Great Again, thanks, but no thanks.
