He's so busy making sure his favorite sportsball players score the winning touchdown/home run/3-pointer that he just doesn't have time for the trivial stuff.

We have the problem of "unsuitable" books in our small town library too. The moral folks here have developed a very effective way of getting rid of books. A group of them come in and check out the books deemed unworthy. They are never returned. For some reason they went after all the works of Edgar A. Poe. Every single one of them is GONE. The library has tried replacing them, but they get gonned again and again. Library funding is also too gonned, so they had to stop trying to keep copies in stock. This is happening to other books that could be problem books, but the Poe works were the ones my child needed for her "goth" writing project, so I know first hand how they can get books out of circulation. This didn't stop my kid from reading Poe. I bought her a hard copy of the collected works and for good measure the entire Lovecraft series (it's never too early to learn about Cthulhu!). It pisses me off that there are people out there who think they can judge for me what is OK to read and what will cause me to burn in hell forever. Hail Yog Sothoth and have a great day!
