Toll the bells, America, for an era, it endeth: Fox News will not renew Sarah Palin's contract. Oh, how the mighty have fallen! Never again will Fox viewers ever see their Beloved on the telescreen, except for whenever she wants to show up as a non-contracted guest, which will probably be about as often as she actually "worked" for the network after it brought her back the second time:
When asked for comment, a Fox News spokesperson confirmed the network had amicably parted ways with the governor on June 1.
Palin, 51, is expected to make occasional guest appearances on Fox and Fox Business, and will appear on other networks and cables. [sic] She has a show on the Sportsman Channel, does a lot of speeches, and will announce a new publishing project soon.
A new publishing project? Oh, please let it be children's books! Those don't have too many words, do they? And mostly small ones, right?

Politico notes that when Palin "was at her zenith, she made frequent appearances, and Fox installed a camera at her house. But executives consider her less relevant now, and her appearances were sometimes hampered by the vast time difference with Alaska."
We didn't even know that Zenith still made TVs, though it makes sense that Sarah would frequently sit and watch one. But what's next for the Grifter Queen, besides doing more of the same damn thing forever, quitting that and starting a new venture that looks suspiciously like the old one, and never going away?

She's teasing the rubes with a couple of moves that make it look like Something Big is imminent. For one thing, her Facebook page got an exciting new look that includes a quote from her 2008 announcement speech:
Her face-lifted Facebook page doesn't mention why she got out of government so hastily, but we vaguely recall it was something about dead fish. Also, Politico notes, her dumb SarahPAC has sent out "several thousand" DVDs to SarahPAC donors, featuring a "half-hour documentary DVD detailing her impact on Republican politics over the past three cycles." So we're guessing there's a lot of moose footage interspersed in there. But golly, that sure sounds like she's clearing the deck and getting ready for something big! Could it be? Her supporters can only hope, but maybe, just maybe, she'll schedule a Big Announcement ...
That she'll be starting a new line of commemorative figurines or some other goddamn new grift.

'occasional guest appearances on Fox' I'm hoping she'll be competing in UFC and getting her ass kicked or maybe FOX is introducing a new jello wrestling series.
In 2011, Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes was quoted by The Associated Press saying, "I hired Sarah Palin because she was hot and got ratings." ."Your money is on the dresser, Sarah" ~ Roger
