So here is a thing we know. We know that Josh Duggar did naughty sex things to five little girls, four of whom were his sisters. And Ma and Pa Duggar — being strict adherents of a religious cult that believes if you inappropriately touch your sister, it’s because her unholy whore hole was just askin’ for it, like the Bible says — thought it best to keep that quiet instead of, like, protecting their daughters. How do we know this? Because the Duggars released statements admitting that Josh did a bad, but he is sorry and his family is all A-OK with that now, and none of them have denied any of the details in the police report or any reported details about how they “handled” Josh’s molestation of his sisters.

So of course Fox News is the perfect place for the family to appear in public for the first time since the story broke, because Fox is the official sympathetic ear for disgusting people and criminals, as long as they are the conservative kind. The interview airs later this week, but Megyn Kelly had a chat with fellow Fox personality Howard Kurtz, who used to be some kind of so-called journalist before he stopped pretending altogether, to give us a hint of what kind of hard-hitting journalism we can expect from the self-described “tough but fair journalist”:

This isn’t going to be a cross-examination of a family. It’s going to be an interview. I want to hear their story, and I think America wants to hear their story now.

What’s been remarkable to me, as, I admit, somebody who doesn’t watch this show, is to see how many in the media have handled it, from jumping to “they’re the worst, the house of horrors, you know, this family is sick sick sick,” to people like this woman on CNN trying to make this the problem of the Republican presidential field.

Then we watch a quick clip of someone on CNN pointing out, as we have, that all these Republican presidential candidates have cozied up with Josh Duggar. The clip does not mention, as we have, that many Republican politicians have not only smiled for the camera, but have also been happy to have various Duggars endorse them and join them on the campaign trail, to further prove their “family values” credentials, including Mike Huckabee in 2008 and Rick Santorum in 2012. And Huckabee, unlike Santorum, is STILL proudly standing with his Duggar pals. But yeah, what do those random ancient photo-ops have to do with anything? You know what the media should REALLY be focusing on?

Bill Clinton was accused of RAPE. He has been accused by several women of sexually assaulting them. But the fact that a presidential candidate has posed with some random member of the family that’s going through this issue is somehow a problem for the GOPers?!?!

[Emphasis included in original, though we don’t know how to fully capture with words and punctuation the expressions of horror and disgust on Kelly’s face; you’ll just have to see for yourself.]

Obviously, there is no difference between Josh Duggar admitting to his crimes and accusations Fox News and other wingnuts still won’t let go of that Bill Clinton is the world’s worst sex-crimer ever because some conservatives have paid some ladies to say so, without ever being able to offer any evidence at all, IMPEACH! Kurtz agrees, though with fewer facial expressions. “It’s amazing,” he says. “Look, I’ve been pretty disgusted by how some liberal media types are using what’s obviously a family tragedy to score political points.”

Yeah, dumb liberal media, why you gotta stick your nose into the private family matter of a public figure and reality TV fame whore who admitted to molesting several of his own sisters? Especially since you left the Clinton family alone, when the president was accused of naughty sex stuff, to deal with their “family tragedy” in private and never oooohed and ahhhhhhhed and squeeeeeeeed over every single last detail of the orifices into which he stuck various objects or the size and shape of his semen stains.

The most upsetting and relevant point for tough but fair Kelly — other than how Bill Clinton was accused of rape, obviously — is that we shouldn’t even know about this private matter anyway:

What’s happened here is Josh Duggar’s private, personal sealed records have been improperly released. It doesn’t excuse any of his behavior, and it’s not meant to diminish it either, but the records of the young girls have also been released, and in part, their identity, because the police records leave very little doubt about who they are and what family they’re a part of. So it’s one thing if the Duggars want to talk about this, and we’ll get into that, but the media didn’t even pause and there is a question about why they were so excited to feast on this carcass.

Yeah, it’s a real question. The media isn’t exactly known for wanting to feast on the carcass of the criminal and just plain fucking EWWWWWWW behavior of good family values conservatives, who normally get to say “Sorry about that” and then move on with their lives, because Jesus says it’s OK. That’s why Louisiana Republican and prostitute-patronizer David Vitter is still in the Senate, but New York Democrat and prostitute-patronizer Eliot Spitzer is no longer a governor. For example.

Kelly insists that nothing is off limits, except for asking about any details whatsoever, out of respect for the victims, who, according to conservative defenders, are Josh Duggar and also his parents. Here’s hoping the Duggars nail their tough Fox interview so they can seal the deal on that new spin-off show TLC is considering about the Duggars who haven’t molested children (that we know of).

Because while this whole scandal is horrid enough for the channel to suspend all Duggar episodes for now, it’s certainly no reason not to look for some way to keep making money for and with the Duggar family. Sure, child molestation is bad, but losing that sweet Duggar cash is a whole lot worse. God bless America.

“Bill Clinton was accused of rape” like he was accused of drug running and killing Vince Foster, or Obama accused of faking his birth certificate, or the government was accused of hiding the Roswell aliens at area 51 and faking the moon landing, or anyone who was not Lee Harvey Oswald was accused of assassinating John F. Kennedy – only in the deep levels of crazy conspiracy theory land, not in any credible way,

It would be irresponsible not to speculate.

That’s nothing! Huckabee is his own father! Duh, Arkansas. Wait, you mean he’s another guy from Hope? Maybe Huckabee killed Vince Foster! Wow, what a tangled web they weave down there in the breeder states!

Hard to snark on rape. Too easy to snark on Fox, to the point at which it isn’t really funny anymore. But I will read the snark.

My apologies if this was said already but… the police report detailing Josh Duggar’s molestation of 5 victims includes that he penetrated some of them vaginally.

    That. Is. Rape.

By multiple definitions, that is rape, and rape of minor children that he was related to. Whatever Bill Clinton did does not undo what Josh Duggar did. It also does not undo the Duggar parents concealing that crime when Jim Bob knew what the law was. After all- he helped pass that law.

Anyone running interference for the Duggars should be referred to as Pedophile Apologist Insertnamehere from this point forward. It may be more clunky than “Ms” or “Mr” or even “Senator”, but it would certainly get the point across.

So far. I will never believe that he’s the only one.

    • Virginia Dreaming

I think that might be a part of why they got Josh married off so quickly. A compliant wife who never says no, might have slowed him down. Especially if he is more of a horndog with boundary issues rather than a pedophile.

      • Kat Anyperson

“Horndog with boundary issues” doesn’t equate to sexual arousal at 4 year olds. Pedos are pedos.

        • Virginia Dreaming

I admit that I don’t really know that much about the Duggar kids, but from what I read, none of the sisters he molested were that young. I think somewhere are 8 was the youngest while he was around 14.

          • janecita

I thought the youngest was 4.

          • Zippy

            5 was the youngest

          • Kat Anyperson

4-5.. minutia over birth dates. *shrug*

Kid was just out of the toddler stage of development. :/

          • Kat Anyperson

I think the oldest girl was eliminated and the second oldest was a possibility, leaving the 4 year old girl as one of the victims. I could be wrong, as that was a redacted mess.

Regardless, there aren’t sexually developed 8 year olds. It takes the brain breaking in a very specific way to sexualize a prepubescent kid.

          • Virginia Dreaming

I certainly agree with your last statement. A point my wife made when we first talked about this, was who did Josh have access to when he began molesting. My wife thought that maybe his sisters were pretty much it. Which is why I wonder if maybe he just went after any girl he could, especially with that women being “property” of the man crap his parents were feeding him. Almost like he felt like he deserved to sexualize any girl he wanted, or was handy when he felt like feeling somebody up.

          • Kat Anyperson

It wasn’t just that the woman is the property of the man. His parents were specifically teaching that siblings are guardians of each other’s sexuality and that molestation was a “gift”.

3/4 of all children molested are victimized by someone they know. Pedophilia is almost always a crime of accessibility.

          • Virginia Dreaming

I can’t believe I am defending this piece of crap, even tangentially. But, here is the thing all we know for sure is that he molested each of his sisters, except for the one that was closest to his age. That leads to two possible hypothesis, (1) he is a pedophile who is driven to molest young girls or (2) he is an asshole who felt entitled to take sexual liberties with any girl. There is nothing in the evidence that makes either hypothesis completely likely or unlikely. The oldest sister could have be old enough to scare him away, or old enough he wasn’t interested. The thing about pedophila is that it doesn’t go away without treatment. But since this has reached the light of day, no one else is accusing him or talking about other kids he molested. The only other report is a babysitter who was likely to be older than the prepubescent sisters. So either he completely learned to suppress his pedophilia, got much better at keeping it under wraps (which is possible) or maybe he didn’t really prefer young girls, just any girl he could get to not say no. If he really has stopped, that supports the second hypothesis, but the absence of evidence is not really evidence, so the question remains open.
I don’t know which is true. I just think that in a house where you can be punished pretty harshly for masturbating, and you are continuously be told that it is the girl’s fault for stimulating your sex drive, and that girls are not your equal and have to submit to the man’s will, I could see him screwing up that message even worse and using it to justify going after any girl who couldn’t or wouldn’t say no. It is still sick, it is still wrong, but it may not be pedophila so much just a garden variety rapist or asshole who doesn’t think he has to control himself as long as daddy doesn’t find out. I used the term horndog because I don’t know if there is a term to denote a person who take sexual gratification from anyone they can without regards to the person’s feelings.

          • Kat Anyperson

I will be the first to admit that as a victim of childhood sexual abuse, I’m a little biased on this subject. In trying to overcome my anger at my attacker, I spent a long time researching molestation and why it occurs. (I knew I wouldn’t get the why from them- they won’t admit that any of it happened- so I had to get closure somehow.) Anyhoo-

Most teenagers who are “curious” do not diddle kids. They understand by that age that young children are not their peers and that little kids cannot consent to such activity. *Josh knew that such things were not appropriate- why else would he have done it while he thought his sisters wouldn’t be able to stop him or witness his behavior.* There was also the fact that he repeated the behavior after he had already been told once that it was completely inappropriate.

If he hadn’t, I think you would have a strong argument for mental illness or cultural programming as the major cause- one I’d be making with you. (I wouldn’t be surprised to see an Antisocial personality diagnosis there, though.)

You have to be aware of the moral implications of the behavior in order to have the sense to hide it. He had control. He had intent. He had the wherewithal to hide it and was only discovered when the girls came forward.

I’d bet good money that several of the Duggar children were molested beyond Josh’s victims, himself included. That’s usually where kids learn this behavior themselves- they’ve been socialized into it. However, what he does with that trauma is entirely up to him. Millions of people are molested, but only a few go on to be predators themselves.

All in all, it’s a terrible situation. I sincerely hope he seeks professional help, preferably before he re-offends. There have been too many incidents, with two many victims, over too long a period of time to classify him as anything other than a pedophile for me. If he hasn’t done it since, good for him… but it doesn’t mean he isn’t still capable or isn’t secretly diddling victims too young to know what’s going on.

          • Virginia Dreaming

Kat, first thanks for talking with me. We have talked before and I respect your viewpoint, so was feeling like I let you down or hurt you with my comment. And I am sorry for that. If it helps, we are both survivors, although I suspect my experience was not nearly as bad. I panicked when a friend of the family tried to molest me and bit him, not a fun memory but it ended the abuse.
As for Duggar, I would guess that no# 3, the antisocial personality disorder and the quiverfull crap he was feed are as much responsible as anything, but it could also be pedaphila. If another case comes out, I will try my best to remember to tell you that you were absolutely right.

          • Kat Anyperson

I wasn’t upset or hurt at all and I really respect your viewpoint as well =3

I’ve been a victim more than once by more than one attacker, including 2 that I was related to either by blood or marriage. I ran into a few bad situations with attempted rapes/gropings when I turned 18 as well. Thankfully, I’ve also been taking judo classes since then.

The first was the most traumatic, as I learned that not only was *I* a victim, but my mother before me. The attacker was forgiven by my immediate family and allowed access to me as a child. It was also the only attacker to cover up what they did-they knew what they were doing was wrong, had done it before, and did it again when they felt they had an opportunity.

One of the things I’ve found most important with these events is analyzing how the predator grooms the child and covers the abuse. In Josh’s case, he picked non-sexual, prepubescent children too young to really understand what was going on and unconscious individuals. He also repeated the behavior over time, closing in on the age where official pedophilia diagnosis began. Those are some big alarm bells.

I feel badly for everyone being raised in that cult. I feel badly for the trauma Josh Duggar undoubtedly endured in it’s hands. I just can’t buy that this guy is anything other than a pedophile. There is a reason normal folks are revolted by the idea of the act- it takes a certain mindset to do it at all.

          • Virginia Dreaming

Wow, I am so sorry that you have had to deal with all that. I can’t even imagine how hard it must be to take all that and come out as strong as you have. It is hard to believe how much people hurt one another. I am glad to hear about your judo lessons, it seems to me that fear is the worst part.
And yes I did leave a scar, exactly where you think I did. I had a much harder time dealing with the fact that he pulled out a knife and threatened to kill me than the actual assault. Probably because at that age a knife is an easier threat to understand. But he let me go if I promised not to tell (classic, huh) and I kept that promise till after he was killed in a car accident years later. My parents still don’t know, I don’t want them to deal with the guilt of leaving me with his mother while they took a much needed second honeymoon.
In any case, I hope you have a nice evening, I will look forward to talking with again.

          • Kat Anyperson

Is it terrible that I’m glad to hear they can’t hurt anyone again?

Again, thank you. It’s hard to share stuff like this, but it helps explain the experiences to people who don’t have them. Sunlight is the best disinfectant. <3

          • Blank Ron

Terrible? No, I wouldn’t say so. It’s abundantly clear that your concern is for potential victims, rather than just being vindictive, though IMNSHO you’re more than entitled to be as vindictive as you like.

Add a little reinforcement of the twisted sexual proclivities of yer favorite Bible characters, smear a dollop of hair gel on them, drag them out of the trailer park to run for office, and rape is about dominionists.

        • Villago Delenda Est

Yes, and the entire quiverful movement is all about patriarchal domination.

      • SadDemInTex

“a horndog with boundry issues”….that is a disturbing statement no matter how you read it. Perhaps you meant that this is the way the Duggars thought of the issue….but that is not how it reads. You are scaring me.

    • coozledad

It’s freaks all the way down, up, and to every side.

  • OneYieldRegular

Is Megyn Kelly the 20th Duggar?!??

    • cessnadriver

Damn, why didn’t I think of that!

  • Viva La Tabula Raza

I think America wants to hear their story now.
    No, not really.

    • marxalot

Bulimia is not the answer to our national obesity problem, so no.

  • janecita

What is it with her mouth? She has the ugliest mouth, yuck!

    • jmk

The shit she reads out loud on the air has clearly shaped it.

  • Mehmeisterjr

I’m sure that Stewart, Wilmore and Oliver will give her statement the respect it deserves.

  • coozledad

Look, I’ve been pretty disgusted by how some liberal media types are using what’s obviously a family tragedy to score political points.

Nobody’s talking about your career, Kurtz.

    • beatbort

As Joseph Conrad put it at the end of Heart of Darkness:
      Mistah Kurtz, he dead.
      Career wise, that is.

  • Joshua Norton

Sweet, weeping Jeebus in a diabetic coma!

Hey Megyn – sense of proportion – get one.

    • MrBlobfish

In a normal world, you would be correct.

  • SK

I love the non sequitur fallacy. It is immensely useful to prove that since Clinton was accused of something, confessed child molestation of minors, with parental shielding is A-OK.

  • SuspectedDemocrat

    “The liberal backlash…?”

That’s right, when you’re sneaking into your young sisters’ room late at night to molest them, you really need to stop and think, there may be some backlash. But only from liberals, so no biggie.

  • VandeGraf

I wonder if Megan has rush to the rest room to clean herself after every broadcast. Or maybe Fox installed showers?

    • chicken thief

If they did I’m sure Roger has a camera installed.

    • toomanyrappers

But she can’t wash away the stupid. ;)

        Nor the mean

    • MrBlobfish

St. Peter has a few things he’d like to talk to her about.

  • beatbort

“I think America wants to hear their story now.” So, Howard Kurtz, you serious journalist, you aren’t familiar with the story? They’ve only had their own TV show for a gazillion minutes past the 15 Andy Warhol allotted them. Their story has been told, and told, and told. America does not want to hear more of the same. Besides, it’s a disgusting story, in and of itself, with or without incest. Ma and Pa aren’t familiar with the concept of birth control, so they breed like rabbits and now expect the rest of us to raise this mutant brood.

  • chascates

Maybe the Duggars could get some airtime on the Palin channel.

    • SuspectedDemocrat

If they can get a time slot! I hear the programming is jam-packed, 24/7.

      • Calipha Ornia

Depends on what you mean by “jam.”

    • jmk

Governor Quitterface giving up the spotlight for one second? UNPOSSIBLE!!!!

    • riledupone

None of them would be able to agree on how to divvy up the grift.

  • beatbort

If grocery store magazines and tabloids are any indication, I noticed today in the checkout line that the Duggars are losing the hearts and minds of Dumbfuckistan. Nobody, not even the dimwits who read grocery store tabs, are feeling much sympathy for them.

    • Paperless Tiger

Abducted by aliens is probably the best they can hope for at this point.

    • riledupone

When you’re abandoned by Batboy, you got nobody.

  • Leema Raven

This has to backfire, it really does. I know fox news viewers are stupid, but I bet the majority of them have grand kids and great grand kids. There is no possible way to make incestuos sexual assault of a sleeping child look good. No fucking way.

    • alwayspunkindrublic

Never underestimate the power of “but Clinton…”.

      • Villago Delenda Est

The Clenis…the most powerful force in the universe.

OK, so Kenyan Muslims are nearly as powerful.

      • SuspectedDemocrat

That’s the only two words they hear, the rest is just a red mist of rage.

    • Zippy

Pffft, you underestimate the ability of Foxtards to play the victim card at your peril. Josh will quickly become the poor innocent victim of a savage witch hunt from the evil liberals

    • JohnR

Fucking way, my parents could forgive anything in the name of jesus.

    • jmk

I want to believe that this is true… but… I’ve seen some of these people in action…

  • alwayspunkindrublic

Yeebus, this is like Night Of The Living Pervs. Between reality teevee, GoFundMe and likely post-incarceration jobs on Fox, these ghouls are truly among the undead.

  • FauxAntocles

  • Villago Delenda Est

Yes, of course, like diddling preteens is absolutely the same thing as any sexual activity with a consenting adult.

    Uh huh, Megyn. Sure.

    • coozledad

They’re goin to have to start working this into a daily routine, because a Republican is just going to fuck a young’un. It’s a goddamn statistical certainty at this point.

  • Villago Delenda Est

It’s time to vote Kelly and Kurtz off the planet.

  • Jay Roller

    Megyn Kelly: Paedophile Enabler.

  • Silence Is Golden

Just one more reason, as if I needed one, to not watch Fox News! These disgusting people have, obviously, never been through the pain of child molestation. Nor a shred of empathy. This is sickening, to say the least. Why in the hell is Josh Duggar and his pathetic excuse for parents being let off the hook by so many people? The same people who are more than happy to demonize others for less offenses!

    • Jen_Baker_VA

      Because “christian”
No really, they /want/ to let them off the hook because they want to keep pointing to them as the model of superiority and why christians are so much better then everyone else.
      Even other christians.
If they were black christians, catholics, jews, muslims, atheists or anyone other then RWCCC they would have been burned at the stake by the left /and/ the right.

Well, considering this “hard hitting journalismic interview” I will just have to reconsider my stance of NEVER WATCHING THIS CHANNEL EVER and multiply that times eleventy braztrillion.

Thank you Megyn and FOX for helping me ponder the imponderable of infinity.

  • jesuswasablack

“Jesus was white he just was and so was Santa!”

    • AIO_7

      So is Josh.

  • JParkerSD46

Uh, Meggie, no, America doesn’t really want to hear this story now, at least those of us who would like to continue to hold down our breakfast and whose IQ’s are greater that their shoe size. We’re pretty fed up with the disgusting re-homers, home-schoolers and quiverists who seem to populate Arkansas. And I’m damned fed up with the idiots who hang on your every word as you and Fox do all you can to deflect and spin this. Megan, you seem like a nice person. Is it just the money that you do this for or are you truly that messed up?

    • AIO_7

      Both.

  • AnOuthouse

Bill O’Reilly was accused of RAPE. He has been accused by several women of sexually assaulting them. But the fact that a presidential candidate has posed with his member is somehow a problem for the GOPers?!?!
Yes, in a sane world, posing with Bill O’Reilly’s member should be a problem.

  • Sjorgl

It’s true. This interview won’t be a cross-examination – it will be what journalists call a ‘blow job.’

  • intlet9949

This is similar to when anyone brings up the disaster known as the Iraq war, which they so fervently pushed for, they go into why look back mode?

    • r€nato

you haven’t had the experience of having some angry right-winger literally scream in your face, “WHAT, ARE YOU STILL BLAMING BUSH?”

If my parents had not been at the table that day, I would have smashed him in the face with the nearest heavy object. Truth.

  • Latverian Diplomat

I don’t see why the Duggars have put so much energy into defending and excusing Josh. I should think one of the advantages of having 19 kids is the ability to say “Hey, one did end up in prison for sex crimes, but only one. Over all, we have a pretty good average on that front.”

    • MrBlobfish

It’s the natural reaction. Liberals are up in arms? They must be defended at all cost.

  • JD Mulvey

A brief history lesson, for th youngsters:
Rape is, but it’s actually different than “sexual harassment,” which is what Paula Jones accused Bill Clinton of.
Paula Jones’s case was dismissed because what she was claiming, even if true, wasn’t actually what sexual harassment is (or, for that matter, what rape is either).

But endless appeals were funded by conservative billionaires anyway, because then they could depose Clinton who of course would deny everything.

Then they took that denial to a Special Prosecutor who was supposedly investigating a real estate swindle, who gave himself permission to expand his investigation to include Presidents who deny raping people.
Then the Special Prosecutor contacted a Republican mole in the White House Travel Office, who had made pretend friends with an intern who was fooling around with the President. Then the Special Prosecutor gave himself permission to interrogate the intern, because fooling around with the President in Washington in 1995 makes her a relevant witness to the supposed rape that took place in 1991 in Arkansas.

Then when the intern told the Special Prosecutor about her affair with that big jerk, and the President denied it (duh), the Republicans in Congress were on the TV for the next two years trying to throw him out of office because none of them have affairs so why should he be allowed?

And one of the same billionaires who paid for Paula’s lawsuit also paid for the Special Prosecutor to have a cushy job as Dean of University of Posh Malibu Beach, err.. I mean Pepperdine Law School.
Then they all got a good laugh at Hillary Clinton when she said there was a righwing conspiracy, which there certainly WAS NOT. The end.

    • JD Mulvey

PS. Pepperdine is best known for being the location for the rock-em-sock-em T&A competition known as “Battle of the Network Stars,” from back when TV was good.

      • coozledad

Hal Linden to Linda Carter: “Have you ever seen an adult male naked? Well you have now!”

        • NationalGalleryofClipArt

Linda was Caitlyn née Bruce Jenner’s first wife, so not only had she seen a grown man naked, she saw him tuck.

          • jenni

nah, she just saw that girls can in fact have dicks

I believe that is Linda Carter – she played Wonder Woman – and was not married to Bruce Jenner.

Bruce was married to a Linda – Linda Thompson.

        • JD Mulvey

I’d wager that more people have seen Hal naked than have seen the top of Howard’s head naked.

    • 08Willow

      Best summary ever. Thank you.

    • jw

Also, what happened or didn’t happen between two adults is not the same thing as MOLESTING YOUR FOUR LITTLE SISTERS!

    • r€nato

copying and pasting into my notebook for future reference. Thank you for this valuable public service!

  • smitallica

I think the conservative reactions on Twitter to the death of Beau Biden demonstrate admirably just how opposed they are to using a family tragedy to “score political points.”

    • BMW

      wait…whut happen???

      • Jessica Neubauer

The vice president’s son died of cancer this weekend. Fox news had to close their comment thread because of all the hateful remarks from the “Christian Family Values” party. I guess the truth of what their viewers are doesn’t play well with their narrative of liberals as the party of hate.

        • r€nato

those motherfuckers didn’t know a goddamned thing about Beau Biden (he was an honorable motherfucker who served his country admirably), except his last name. And that his father was the vice president. What fucking kind of twisted do you have to be to rejoice over his death just for those reasons?

I hate having to share a planet with these cock gobbling thunder cunts, and I am NOT the one who is going to be leaving.

          • AIO_7

They get a lot of their bile from this guy…

  • Gleem-McShinez

“I find this post hard to masturbate Roger Ailes to.”

    –Megyn Kelly

    • Mehmeisterjr

Remember The Big Bopper? Roger Ailes is The Big Fapper.

  • Gleem-McShinez

I hope the advertisers that buy time during this interview know how great it is to be associated with serial child molesters and their enablers.

I guess if NAMBLA isn’t into it, they can always cross-promote the “Special Victims Unit” crime shows.

  • Callyson

What’s been remarkable to me, as, I admit, somebody who doesn’t watch this show, is to see how many in the media have handled it

Right, because FOX News’ interview of the Duggars isn’t chasing the ratings at all

  • ibwilliamsi

I’m American and I don’t want to hear their story. I want to see them go to jail. THAT is what rill murkins want.

  • MrBlobfish

Oh, MeGyn. You couldn’t weave the Clinton Orgy on Sex Slave Island into the narrative? You’re just mailin’ it in.

  • MrBlobfish

The Duggars’ will just blame this all on demons and liberals.

  • nightmoth

I have noticed that some people are coughing up the words, “Bill Clinton” like a cat with a hairball, over at some other comment boards. Lessee, (1) Monica walks into the Oval Office, yanks her britches down and asks the president “How do you like my thong?” (Yes, that happened—I’ve always pictured Bill’s eyes popping out like a cartoon character’s.) And (2) Josh Duggar sneaks into his little sisters’ bedroom and they wake with him handling them sexually. Wingnuts: these two things are NOT the same.

  • VirginiaLady

Then in a surprise maneuver, several armed police officers rush the set and arrest the Duggars on live TV! Megan is a hero!!
    It could happen.

    • JAWs

Or when they get get to the FoxNews set, Chris Hanson suddenly pops out from around the corner and offers Josh a seat…

  • Thaumaturgist

Does anyone know why the fifth victim and her parents were willing to give Josh a pass?

    • nightmoth

Some initial reports said the 5th was a baby sitter who was a cousin of theirs, but I really don’t know.

  • viva_democracy

I don’t want to hear from pedophiles, friends of pedophiles and cover-uppers of pedophiles.

  • Bitter Scribe

If the Duggars were shameless enough to go back on reality TV, would enough people watch to make it worthwhile (i.e., profitable)?

I fear the answer is yes.

    • r€nato

someone needs to ask her if she’d allow Josh Duggar to watch her kids.

  • jw

Oh noes, are we being too hard on the serial, incestuous child molester and his disgusting parents that protected him instead of his four younger, more vulnerable sisters for you, Megyn?

  • Gleem-McShinez

Of all the ways to do it, having Megyn interview you is probably the most unique way to inform your neighbors about the pedophile sex crimer living in the neighborhood.

  • Gleem-McShinez

“I once shot a man in Reno, just because Bill Clinton was accused of rape.”

    Legitimate Wingnut Defense

    • r€nato

      all. the. time.

  • Swampgas_Man

I recollect that Bill Clinton was also accused of drug smuggling and murdering a bunch of state troopers who stood up to him and also Vince Foster too! So why are we hounding the poor (but getting richer) Conservatives for a little kiddy-fiddling?

  • I could kinda sorta agree with the leave-him-alone-he-was-a-kid sentiment, except that the adult who was that kid decided to become an expert who issued proclamations about what constitutes acceptable sexual relationships. You can make mistakes, humbly ask the injured parties for forgiveness, accept your punishment, and move on. OR you can not make mistakes and stand on a pedestal telling everyone else what they are doing wrong. You don’t get to do both.

    • r€nato

and, the police report was released in a perfectly legal manner. It HAD to be released, by law. They have already made up their own “facts” about this, only a week or so since it became news?

      • Blank Ron

It would seem they’ve been making up their own facts since Uncle Joshie was caught the first time.

  • OrdinaryJoe

Photo of Megyn the Wonkeroos used caught my eye. I wonder if she understands that when she is looking at a photo of SaraLoo today it’s like she is really looking in a time mirror at herself in about 2o years?

  • Dave Keough

Dam, I didn’t realize how much Kelly liked Pervs.

  • jw

I am very curious to see who will be advertising on this – why
would they want to be associated with serial child molesters and their enablers?

  • Scott Richmond

If any discussion about what Duggar did is off limits, then shouldn’t talking about Bill Clinton be off limits too? The double standard at Fox News is alive and well.

    • r€nato

it should be off limits because logic.

  • JAWs

“This isn’t going to be a cross-examination of a family. It’s going to be an interview. I want to hear their story, and I think America wants to hear their story now.”

    Er….
    1) Until very recently, these people had a TV show (“Five Gross and Counting” or something like that). That’s theoretically the whole point of their circus sideshow….I mean TV series. Their story HAS been told.

    2) Given that the the show had to be FORCEFULLY taken off the air, via disgusted and outraged viewers and advertisers (The LEARNING Channel was running freaking marathons when this story broke), I think we can safely say that, no, America does NOT want to “hear their story now.”

  • grmpy

“What’s happened here is Josh Duggar’s private, personal sealed records have been improperly released.”

And there you have it. It’s not illegal if you don’t get caught and completely unfair that he was able to be caught after he took the necessary file sealing steps that he did. Boo Fucking Hoo

    • JD Mulvey

Does James O’Keefe know about this rule?

  • r€nato

wait a minute, didn’t the police report become public due to a perfectly legal FOIA request?

    • Rachel Book Harlot

Yes and thank you! It drives me bonkers whenever I see them saying the report was sealed and leaked. These people are incapable of telling the freaking truth.

      • r€nato

it makes me pretty angry, actually, when I think about it too much.

  • Ricky Gay

Sometimes when I watch Megyn Kelly clips from Fox News, I am reminded of a scene from the 1985 movie “Bliss” where Harry Joy’s guilt-ridden wife tries to kick away the thrashing fish that are dropping from between her legs. Sorry. Probably just me. Great movie though…

  • sillyclucker

Why isn’t the molester allowing interviews? Why is only his mommy and daddy going public? Come on Mr. Big shot. Show the gays how a real moral American stands up to those who condemn him.

    • AIO_7

I’d grab the popcorn for that….

  • D_C_Wilson

This is why the people who keep telling me that Megyn Kelly is a serious journalist can STFU.

  • traveler19491

Surprised we haven’t heard Megan, and the rest of the “journalists” at FOX, proclaiming that, “Of course Bill Clinton committed RAPE…that stain on Monica’s dress looks just like JESUS, and JESUS is obviously letting us know!!!”

  • Lord-Nash

I may be late to the party, but I’m making an official call to replace the usage of the word “Diddling” with the word “Duggaring”. Do I need to talk directly to a rep at Urban Dictionary or just start a GoFundMe page?

    • r€nato

      it’s already in Urban Dictionary!

      • Lord-Nash

        All right then.
