...most hunters that I have hunted with use bolt action rifles for hunting not semi automatics mostly because accuracy and smoother trigger pull. But my main point(boiled down) is if you need need a semi auto to bring down a buck, then you are a crappy huntsman and I'm not sure if i would want that person hunting with me.

Side point:I once worked with a guy that always wanted to go hunting together. When I asked him what he hunts he said "wild hogs". I then asked what he hunts with, he said "44 mag". Needles to say I never took him up on his offer

I doubt your a vet

Hard to respond to that. First, I would be an idiot to post a copy of my DD214. Second, as you likely know my carrying an E2, meant my MOS was not straight up 11B10. How's 'bout my being a DAV life member (see below)?

My cousins all went to Vietnam fucked them all up mentally

Sad for that. Or perhaps you mean like among all of my cousins, just two of us are combat vets. My cuz Dave was a forward artillery observer, not a spook, and both of us got to meet Charlie up close and personal. Among all of the cousins Dave and I, while not pacifists, are very, very circumspect about sending in the troops and showing them what for. To both Dave and I armed conflict is the absolute last recourse, not the first, and pride and emotion should have nothing to do with that decision. If one wants to send in the troops, then one should be willing to one-on-one look in the eye the mom, dad, husband or wife, brother, sister, son, and daughter and tell them how profoundly sorrow we are to have had to taken the life of your loved one to defend our country. If not, then have more of those frustrating negotiations. Talk is cheap, human life is not.

Regards my attending college, yes I did on the GI Bill. Is that such a horrible thing to do. It secured me a good enough career that I was able to afford to send all four of my sons to college on my dime as well.

Given I was in Vietnam well before you were born, back then I had you parents and your grand parents 6. Still got you 6 now even if you profoundly disagree with me.

Hug,

weejee
