How is Obamacare ruining your life today? Fox News host Tucker Carlson thinks that he knows how Obamacare is ruining your life if you live in Colorado, let's see if he is correct! Colorado's health care exchange, Connect for Health Colorado, glitched out last week and cancelled the health insurance of 3,600 Coloradans who went on the state's exchange to shop for another plan. Tucker Carlson invited perfect Fox News victim Steven Roussel, an articulate white guy, to describe the absolute horror of this bureaucratic glitch, or, as Tucker Carlson put it, "Kafka comes to Colorado!" Indeed! Tell us more, Steven Roussel:
So I went in around the first of January and I noticed that my premium went up and my tax deductible went down. I went in to call Kaiser and they said there's nothing they can do, so I called Connect for Health...I then went and was shopping around online and on the phone with one of their representatives, and along the way, I got cancelled completely.
That sounds absolutely astonishing, because, as we all know, prior to Obamacare, insurance companies never experienced glitches. Maybe Roussel is Fox News's elusive unicorn -- someone whose life has been trashed by having health insurance! Tucker Carlson bravely delves deeper, to get to the heart of this Coloradan's tragic story:
So, before I ask you what happened next, can you just give us a little background here? Were you happy or dissatisfied with your healthcare before Obamacare?
And Roussel, apparently not having gotten the memo that when you are on Fox News, there is only one answer to this question, which is "Yes, I loved my healthcare, and Obama has ripped my beloved house-calling family doctor away from me," answers:
"Well, I didn't have any healthcare before the Affordable Healthcare Act went in. And it was because of that, that I was actually able to afford it. However, this year with the premiums jumping up, I have to make a little bit more of a tighter budget to figure out how to pay for the extra premiums that are coming my way.

This is not the right answer, Steven Roussel! You are not supposed to say on Fox News that you couldn't afford health insurance until Obamacare!
Tucker Carlson continues by emphasizing that THEY CANCELLED Roussel's plan! (Well, yes, but keep reading.) And made him sit on hold for 30 MINUTES! And didn't get back to him Friday, and now it's Sunday, and why aren't the Connect for Colorado people working on the weekend just like Tucker Carlson!
"I'm sorry," he says, "I'm laughing bitterly and I'm on your side, of course. So, how do you feel about the whole Obamacare experiment?"
And Roussel, who is no longer the perfect Fox victim and who is now dead to Tucker Carlson, does not even blame Obama for this terrible bureaucratic glitch.
"It's not necessarily the president's fault," he says. Wrong answer, of course it is! "It's more the CEO's fault that knew about the glitch in the system and did nothing about it."
And then Tucker Carlson forgets to tell Fox News viewers that Connect for Colorado is calling and emailing each of the 3,600 folks whose insurance was canceled and reinstating their coverage retroactively to January 1, and is fixing the system so that this glitch doesn't happen during the next open enrollment period, and Obamacare has to be terrible forever and ever, because it just HAS TO.
We encourage Fox News to keep looking for all of those people who just hate having health insurance so much that they are sad and worried when a glitch takes it away for a few days. We are sure there are some out there.

FOX is Fair and Balanced™, people!
They have to <i>Balance</i> out the actual facts, with speculation and omission, or else it&#039;s false advertising or something! They have STANDARDS TO UPHOLD
I can&#039;t afford insurance under the ACA not because of Obama but because I live in Texas. An oil well here has more government protection than a working-class Texas resident. So I want to move to Washington state or perhaps Oregon because that&#039;s the only way I possibly could get my gall bladder removed (or even just afford the ursodiol that would shrink the gall stones at $500 per 3 month supply and needs to be taken for life) or get treatment for my Dupuytren&#039;s contracture&lrm; (causing the little finger on my left hand to be permanently closed against my palm and unusable. One vial of the drug xiaflex that might fix it is $3200 per finger.). I live hand to mouth and couldn&#039;t even afford going to Mexico for healthcare. The greatest threat to my health is the GOP&#039;s war against <strike>Obamacare</strike> poor people. I wonder if I could try to impersonate Ted Cruz and use the great healthcare these Congress members have?
