With Obamacare open enrollment moving right along -- and so successful that even John Boehner is keeping his Obamacare -- the Illinois ACA exchange, Get Covered Illinois, is running a nifty new ad to inform you that there actually are some no-cost alternatives to having health coverage, like the "Luck Health Plan." It has no premiums, no deductibles, and only one small down side: no coverage.
But if you're really lucky, you won't get sick or have an accident, so maybe it's worth a try.
It's even got a website. Best gag there: the "plan benefits" link goes to a fake "error" page with the note, "Luck is not a health plan. Get a real health plan at Get Govered Illinois," and a link to the real thing.
It's a pretty good campaign, and should be targeted as a sequel to that ad with the creepy Uncle Sam looking at your ladyparts. Don't like having insurance? Try nothing -- what could go wrong? At the very worst, all you'd need to do is die quickly.

How long till FOX News 'debunks' this ad by saying "It is all a lie. You don't need to set your own leg with a cardboard cast or duct tape your face back together, because you can ALWAYS go to the Emergency Room! Legally, they can't turn you away!"
I <3 my Canuckistanian health-care! :)
