What I recall about it from the 2000 campaign, the view regarding W's famous family name was almost entirely glowing and positive. The consensus was that it instantly gave him cred, and the Republicans just <i>luuurrrrved</i> the fact that he was the former President's son. So the Bush name didn't hurt, it helped. Some Dems grumbled, but no one from their side made a big deal about it. Their nominee had a famous political last name, too. There have been dozens, if not hundreds, of candidates from well-known political families in our electoral history. This hardly newsworthy.

The criticism of Nunn is pure BS.

Why am I not seeing this in my local market??? I sure beats the hell out of the derp (from three states) that has been polluting my teeeveee and raising my blood pressure for the past six months.
