Niche lifestyle brand Sarah Palin has endorsed a Democrat in Alaska’s race for governor. Really!
Former Gov. Sarah Palin has endorsed gubernatorial candidate Bill Walker. […]
"Last night my family, along with Byron and Toni Mallott, and our campaign staff attended a reception hosted by Todd and Sarah Palin at their lakeside property in Wasilla,” said Walker in a press release sent Wednesday.
Bill Walker is not a Democrat; he’s a Palin pal who’s running as an independent. But Byron Mallott, Walker’s running mate since the two teamed up in a ballot reshuffle to screw over incumbent Republican Sean Parnell, totally nominally is a Democrat!
Walker is running alongside Democrat Byron Mallott, and has the Democratic Party’s support.
Among the poor unfortunates who did NOT earn the Palin Lakeside Property Seal of Approval was Alaska’s current governor, who was Palin's running mate in 2006 and her lucky lieutenant governor in 2009 when she bravely quit to go make more $$$, elevating him to his current office.
So, that makes two former running mates Palin has Judased. She’s already rogued all over John McCain because his campaign was dumb and wouldn’t let her talk about the REAL ISSUES in the 2008 presidential election, like Bill Ayers and that time Obama said there are 57 states impeach.
While there is often no “why” when it comes to Sarah Palin, she has an actual good reason to oppose Parnell:
This summer, Palin criticized Parnell for undoing her signature oil tax policy, and threw her support behind a tax referendum movement that narrowly failed.
If you’re not familiar with Palin’s “signature oil tax policy,” you might assume that it went something like, “There are no oil taxes because job creators and God bless the billionaires and drill baby drill who needs revenue anyway sounds too kinda French if ya ask me.” But you’d be wrong! That’s actually a more fitting description of the Parnell plan that she opposed:
At stake is the fate of major tax breaks and incentives for the oil industry, part of a system that was pushed through the Republican-controlled Legislature last year by Gov. Sean Parnell, who billed it as a way to stimulate new drilling in the aging oil fields of the North Slope, where production has been in decline for decades.
For real, Palin is (or is sometimes) actually pretty good on this, even if she still has trouble keeping up with a stopped clock on everything else. And if you were expecting Sarah to put the demise of her signature not-abysmal oil policy aside and endorse the Republican for the sake of party unity, you obviously haven’t been keeping up with the Sarah Palin Fartknocker Report presented by Fartknocker – she hates the GOP so much now!
So basically yes, Sarah Palin has endorsed a Democrat because the Republican in the race wasn’t tough enough on the oil companies, and that is not even a joke. Sarah Palin, principled stateswoman. That is kind of a joke. At least we will have Bristol.
