We aren't huge fans of former IRS division director Lois Lerner. She began her IRS career under George W. Bush, dropped her "bombshell" about the IRS trying to silence conservatives (no, they weren't), and then she took the Fifth like a total asshole, so those same oppressed conservatives could cry conspiracy forever . But then there's Jason Mattera. We know Jason Mattera, the master of such ambush interviews as the time he yelled questions about taxes to a guy he thought was Bono but wasn't, or his hilarious stunt in which he asked Hillary Clinton to sign a book to murdered ambassador Christopher Stevens(we just don't "get" rightwing humor, because we are wimps maybe).
So here is Jason Mattera, stalking and then chasing Lois Lerner to yell at her and ask her how to be "singled out," just like she personally stalked applicants for 501 (c)(3) nonprofit status and screamed at them while they walked their dogs. We're especially charmed by Mattera's descriptionof Lerner's attempt to escape a screaming idiot with a camera crew in tow: "Lois Lerner tries busting into neighbor's home to avoid questions."Stupidest Man on the Internet Jim Hoft presents it as the all-caps reporting coup of the week: CAUGHT ON VIDEO>>> LOIS LERNER Targeted by Reporter – Tries Busting Into Neighbor’s Home.
Apparently, the threshold for "busting into" someone's house has now been lowered to "knocking on a door" -- and while the neighbor doesn't ultimately admit Lerner, neither does Lerner put her foot in the door or otherwise attempt to force her way inside.
And all the time, there's Mattera, sobbing big sad tears for all the persecuted conservative dissidents who were waterboarded by not automatically getting tax-free status for their political committees. "You don't like being singled out, do you? How does it feel? Huh?"
Goddamn Lois Lerner. She is such a BULLY.
On the other hand, we are looking forward to the end of the month, when Jim Hoft or Jason Mattera just might get arrested for Breaking and Entering on Halloween.
It would be a practically-unlimited source of butthurt, and therefore money, since obviously it would be Chicago-style selective prosecution.
I saw part of Mattera's interview (on Manatee's show last night) and was all like "FFS, maybe if you had asked her for a little more paperwork that might be a little like what the IRS did to conservative and liberal groups." One wonders if Mattera could be charged with aggressive stalking, but then he would probably turn it into "Waaaah, I got arrested because I was being mean to a liberal and the liberal government is going all liberal on me for being a conservative!!!"
Me, I would also like to see a write-up of Manatee's ***EXCLUSIVE!!!*** interview with Piers Morgan. For crying out loud, he's a man with ratings so abysmally low that CNN fired his ass. As I sat watching his pissflaps move, I was just hoping that a British motoring journalist would show up and cold-cock him in the gob AGAIN. That might have gotten me to take a non-rage-y interest in that program for once.
