Poor Bill O'Reilly is just not getting any respect for his super-cool, super smart idea to fight ISIS with an international mercenary army. Last week, Colbert had the temerity to suggest that O'Reilly's brilliant idea sounded like something that came out of a 4th-grader's Trapper Keeper. Plus, Colbert had a plan of his own to supplement Billo's, only his also included a team of "mutant double-ninja super soldiers with laser nunchucks":
O'Reilly shot back with a piece Monday saying that only "dumb people" would make fun of his mercenary idea. Said O'Reilly,
Mr. Colbert and others of his ilk have no bleeping clue how to fight the jihad. They don’t know anything. And when someone gets beheaded their reaction is "Oh, that’s bad."

After all, 70 percent of O'Reilly's viewers thought the mercenary army was a great idea, and they're plenty S-M-R-T! (You can totes skip the O'Reilly vid if you want -- Colbert includes the necessary best/worst of it below.)

And so we get to Wednesday's Colbert Report, with Stephen's plaintive reply to Papa Bear: "It hurts me to know I hurt the man I admire most, just as Bill would be hurt if he hurt the man he admires most: himself." Billo seemed not to recognize that Stephen was on his side:

How can Bill say me "and others of my ilk" don't have a clue how to fight jihad? Bill, baby doll, you're of my ilk! We're ilk-mates!

After all, Colbert explains, "I wasn't mocking your plan! I'm the only one who likes it!"

Watch and enjoy:

I was wondering why all the folks at the nursing home suddenly wanted to know how to use a computer.
Any chance right-wingers will ever learn not to get into a battle of wits with a comedian?
