America is a great country where you can practice any religion you want as long as it's the Jesus kind. It's too bad Kansas City Chiefs safety Husain Abdullah didn't read the fine print in the First Amendment.
During a Monday night football game between his team and some other team, the Patriotic Patriots from Patriot Town or whatever, he committed a heinous no-no on the field. You may want to hide the children, because this video is SHOCKING.

Abdullah was immediately penalized by the referee for "unsportsmanlike conduct, going to the ground." Because, as SB Nation notes, that action directly violates Rule 12, Section 3, Article 1 of the NFL's official rule book:
There shall be no unsportsmanlike conduct. This applies to any act which is contrary to the generally understood principles of sportsmanship. Such acts specifically include, among others:
(a) Throwing a punch, or a forearm, or kicking at an opponent even though no contact is made.
(b) The use of abusive, threatening, or insulting language or gestures to opponents, teammates, officials, or representatives of the League.
While the rule book does not overtly state that a Muslim kneeling to the ground to give praise to the wrong god is "contrary to the generally understood principles of sportsmanship," that's just sort of obvious, isn't it? Abdullah is a practicing Muslim, and those few seconds when he dropped to the ground could easily be perceived as a secret Muslim message to all the other Islamic terrorists or even a clear threat that an Islamic beheading was imminent. Who knows? The point is, every single Muslim is a terrorist, and they are sneaky bastards, and quite daring too. Hell, they'll even give each other Terrorist Fist Jabs on live TV!
The NFL's code book does not appear to list "going to the ground" as an actual violation of conduct, but that's because "going to the ground" is not universally unacceptable. For example, if you are -- oh, let's just make up a hypothetical name, say Tim Tebow TM -- and you bend on one knee to thank Jesus for making you so real good at doing the football, well, that is entirely different. It's admirable. It's an example to kids everywhere. It's also trademarked:
"I know it was something that was cool for me in the past, but it's not something I do as Tebowing,'" Tebow said, via Cimini. "It's something I do that's prayer for me and then it got hyped up as Tebowing. So I think (it's) just to control how it's used as well. Make sure it's used in the right way."
Not just anyone can drop to the ground and get their pray on after doing some real good football thing. Allah forbid Tebow will have to sue Abdullah for trademark infringement.
We are quite surprised that the NFL quickly condemned the decision to penalize Abdullah with this lengthy condemning condemnation by NFL Vice President of Football Communications Michael Signora:

Guess this time the NFL was able to get its hands on the video to see what really happened. We assume, given how cautious the NFL is these days, it will now convene a panel on Muslims, picked entirely from the Family Research Council.

Sadly, a fair number of competent NFL players are Jeezerfreeks - Terry Bradshaw comes to mind. It goes with the game, along with T & A at halftime, drinking yourself into a stupor and then driving home, and severe brain injuries. Youknow: America's Game.
