Tea Party Nation president Judson Philips, the genius who had a cunning plan to use the Constitution to subvert the 2012 election (except it was unconstitutional), has tired of comparing Obamacare to Nazi Germany, so instead, he’s now comparing it to rape. Next week, maybe Obamacare will be the Ebola virus. Philips emailed the group’s membership this charming article by Darwin Rockantansky that explains that rape is never justified (good for him!) and that it is the height of awfulness to claim that rape is enjoyable for the victim. What an excellent feminist he is! Rockantansky notes that on the teevee program Law And Order: SVU, accused rapists often try to rationalize their actions by imagining that their victims were asking for it, or were being seductive, or enjoyed the experience.
At what point does rape become a pleasurable experience for the victim?
And whom among us are not revolted and angered by such nonsense?
And whom among us are willing to believe that if we “Just lay back and don’t fight it you will inevitably enjoy it.”?
And the “IT” that I am referring to here is “Obamacare”.
The Obama Regime is encouraging people to become the evangelists for Obamacare in their own family and social groups over Thanks Giving dinner. Their message is truly quite simple: Lie back and quit fighting and eventually you will enjoy the experience.
Oh, dear. Um. Sure, Darwin Rockantansky, we invite you to read your essay aloud at the next meeting of the Twitter Feminists’ Alliance. (We have a feeling that you are not an ally.)
Just as Rockantansky declines to belabor his readers with “the horrendously offensive aspects of this Socialist doctrine” of buying private insurance from for-profit insurance companies, we won’t list the ways in which requiring people to have health insurance is unlike rape, other than “All.” But we really do feel compelled to note that Rockantansky believes American Liberty to be a victim of multiple rapes:
But I will encourage you to think about your own families and extended families and decide for yourself if there is a point at which this rape experience could possibly become enjoyable; rape of our free will, rape of our religious convictions, rape of free markets, rape of our Constitution, a brutal rape of the American Dream and personal freedoms.
Mr. Rockantansky thinks about rape a whole lot. He also watches Law And Order: SVU a lot. In another column, he notes that a commonly used line on Law And Order: SVU is “There was no penetration so there was no rape,” a position that he disagrees with, obviously, because of his feminist credentials. And then he compares background checks for gun purchases to rape, because any limitation on owning guns is exactly like rape, whether there was penetration or not.
Conservatives really hate to see rape happen to guns or free enterprise or the sacred right to never be taxed for anything. It would be really nice to see them express that degree of concern for preventing actual rapes against actual women — but for that, their solution is mostly to tell women to get a gun. It’s awfully nice to know that they care.
