Ted Cruz Birther Too Stupid Even For Erick Erickson's RedState

Ted Cruz birther David Farrar has a sad, guys. He's been kicked off wingnut website Redstate.com, presumably because Erick Erickson is a fascist who can't stand to have the ugly truth about Ted Cruz exposed: Ted Cruz was born at center ice of a hockey rink in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, while his mother ate poutine and his father sang "Babalu." But will Erick the Red Sympathizer allow the Constitutional ramifications of these indisputable facts to be discussed? No, he will not.

This is tyranny, ladies and gentlemen, nothing short of tyranny. Or it's editorial judgment. We're always mixing those up.

Oh sure, Farrar notes, Erickson will allow people to write about why Cruz is eligible to be president, but he won't allow David Farrar to jus his soli or partus his sequitur patrem on RedState, not one little bit.

It is a simple matter of natural law, or lex luthor, you see:

A natural born citizen is, by and under natural jurisdiction, a citizen without resort to positive law (man-made law). Any person who acquires their US citizen at birth by statute (positive law) is, in fact, a naturalized citizen at birth, as authorized by Congress under a Naturalization Act.

And here is where we started losing interest in the rest of Farrar's all-boldface essay, because now we're getting into the sort of nutty quasi-legal speculation that is so beloved of birthers, and so utterly without any real validity in the courts -- if there was anything to this nonsense, the birther lawsuits against Barry Soetoro might have gotten some traction outside of the Wingnut Debating Society. (Also, it would mean Chinese people aren't eligible to president us, as the dissenters in US v. Wong Kim Ark proclaimed.) Frankly, much though we love to call him a Canadian anchor baby with maple syrup for cranial fluid, we honestly don't dispute Ted Cruz's constitutional qualifications for the office. Just all his other qualifications.

But we will say this much for Erick Erickson: Even though he's a chowderhead in just about every other way, our leather kitten hat is off to him for his refusal to brook tendentious birther nonsense. Also, Ted Cruz is good for comedy, and that's good for America.
