Former Senator, presidential candidate, and Google punchline Rick Santorum thought it might be fun to run a movie studio, and now here is the trailer for the first feature churned out by his Christian production company, EchoLight Studios. It's The Christmas Candle, a holly-jolly ye-olde family yarn with snowflakes, miracles, Good Simple 19th Century English Whitefolks, Susan Boyle, and a trailer with enough cymbal swells to hammer home the point that it's Inspirational.
An email from Santorum's Patriot Voices group says that The Christmas Candle is "the only Christmas movie slated for release this fall, and it actually talks about the real, true Christmas story." We suppose the first part of that is sort of true, although technically, the December 13 release of Tyler Perry's A Madea Christmas (really?) beats the winter solstice by a week.
