Canteloupe-calved hate machine Steve King told an anti-immigration rally in Omaha, Nebraska, last Friday that illegal immigrants are a murderous mob of murdery evil:
Recalling a conversation he had with a former INS agent, Mike Cutler, during a congressional hearing, King said he asked Cutler, “How many Americans have died at the hands of [illegal immigrants] who did make it into America? What’s the price Americans are paying for an open door policy?”
King claims that Cutler responded, “‘I don’t know the answer to that, but I can tell you it will be in multiples of the victims of September 11th.’ Now that hits home doesn’t it?” he asked …
“Three thousand times something,” King said. “Three thousand times something, three thousand times X, is the magnitude of individual tragedies here in America.”
So these out of control immigrants have murdered at least 6,000 Americans. Or 9,000. But just to be on the safe side, let’s say it was 12,000, because that’s a good scary number.
King spoke at a hate-immigrant rally that had been put together to “honor the memory” of a victim of a terrible crime, 93-year-old Louise Sollowin, who was raped and murdered in July by Sergio Martinez-Perez, a 19-year-old from Sonora, Mexico, who was in the U.S. illegally. As we all know, the memory of crime victims is best honored by calling for a crackdown on other people who scare us.
“The violent rape and murder of 93-year-old Louise Sollowin was a 100 percent preventable death,” King said. “What we needed to do was enforce our existing laws. We didn’t even need to pass a new one.”
To help prove that illegal immigrants have killed multiples of the victims of 9/11, King read several headlines about terrible crimes committed by illegal immigrants:
“Illegal alien charged with raping 13-year-old girl in Nebraska,” he read.
“Mexican national charged in fatal DUI crash in Texas,” he continued. “That’s another grave. That’s another grieving family.”
King said two people on his “small staff” alone have been “victims” of car accidents with undocumented immigrants who had no insurance.
King did not elaborate on whether he thought that car accidents perpetrated by flagrantly uninsured immigrants should be included in the comparison to 9/11. Maybe, because if you let an illegal crash a car, who’s to say they won’t crash a plane into a building next? Those people are just like that.
