A federal judge dismissed a racial discrimination suit against Diabeetus Queen Paula Deen Monday, ruling that plaintiff Lisa Jackson, who is white, could not have been harmed by the use of racist epithets in the workplace by Deen and her brother Bubba Hiers (a story which Yr. Wonkette broke back in April 2012). District Court Judge William T. Moore Jr. wrote
"There are no allegations that [Deen's] racially offensive comments were either directed toward plaintiff or made with the intent to harass her."
Presumably, Jackson couldn't have been harmed by Bubba praising her money management by calling her his "little Jew girl," either. Moore left in place sexual harassment claims against Deen and her business. It is not anticipated that the fact that Jackson and Deen are both women will be cause for dismissal.
As our original report detailed, there's no shortage of loathsomeness in the suit, even if the n-word is off the table. Bubba was fond of watching porn at work, and making lewd remarks to Jackson and other women, plus some delightfully old-fashioned workplace discrimination, just like on Mad Men only with more fried food. Jackson was paid less than male managers, denied vacations and bonuses, and when she complained, she was directly told that Bubba didn't believe in women getting the same money as men, because come on, they're just women. And Deen knew all this.
Even with the racial discrimination claims being thrown out, there's a ton of horrible bad-boss stuff left in Jackson's complaint. Expect Fox News to completely ignore the fact that the suit is not over, and to call for appropriate compensation for the harm that Paula Deen has suffered. Perhaps she could replace Obama once he's impeached over Benghazi...

I just pulled it from one of many identical reports with some simple Googling. Looks like Wayback captured the original though, and yeah, that is the whole thing as posted by NoWireHangars.
I'm certain that when I first saw it (I was not yet Wonklightened back in'08), Wonkette was still hosting pre-ID comments so you didn't have to resort to Wayback, but if that's still the case it doesn't seem like they're still in Google's index.
i thought that was the whole thing.
MAAANNN we were angry little wonkette birds back in '08. everybody screaming at everybody else including ken.
course, george bush was still president. so there's that.
