Guns. guns. guuuuuunnnnnnns. gunsgunsgunsgunsgunsgunsguns. That's all we're going to talk about forever and ever, mostly thanks to people like this:
Saying Americans should be able to “defend themselves from tyranny,” state Rep. Joe Carr said today he is proposing a bill that would allow federal agents to bearrested for enforcing new gun-control laws. Carr, a Lascassas Republican, is sponsoring legislation that would charge federal agents with a Class A misdemeanor for enforcing or attempting to enforce a federal law or executive order that bans, restricts or requires registration of any semiautomatic gun, accessory or ammunition.
Yes, it may not be the most aggressive proposal we've seen yet, but it does have the distinguishing feature of being the dumbest thus far. Sir, your entire plan rests upon local law enforcement being more inclined to get all gun-nutty with you than with los federales, AND being cool with just stone-cold arresting other law enforcementfor enforcing laws. There's also some confusing stuff we could get into about federal law trumping local laws sometimes but we are boring ourselves to death even thinking about it.
State Rep Joe Carr from Lascassas (doesn't that sound made up? it totally sounds made up) Tennessee has some other derp thoughts about Bamz and gunz:
"In light of recent comments and actions taken by President Obama and Vice President (Joe) Biden, I believe it is necessary that Tennessee proactively promote, maintain and defend Tennessee’s sovereignty guaranteed to it in the 10th Amendment to the Constitution,” he said in a written statement. “Additionally, this blatant assault on the Second Amendment by the Obama Administration is a systematic effort to disarm the law abiding citizens of the United States.”
We are bored with this new hyperbole. Can these people just go back to threatening to secede already?
Having lost the Civil War, they seem determined to make the North regret winning it.
I only regret that I have but one upfist to give.
