lazy like a fox!

Pennsylvania Voter ID Sponsor Simply Does Not Care For Lazy 47% ID-Less Bums

don't worry, it's a white kid, no fraud hereWe handily explained Pennsylvania’s voter ID law to you earlier this week, so we will make that up to you by informing you of someone being a shithead about the whole thing.

You see, hundreds of thousands of otherwise eligible Pennsylvania voters may not be able to get IDs, and there is a reason for that. State Rep. Daryl Metcalfe, speaking to KDKA Radio, has determined that is is just lazy olds and blacks being unwilling to do the work necessary to assure him they aren’t committing voting fraud.

HOST: Are you absolutely convinced…that the methods to implement this law are effective and will in fact make sure no legitimate voter will be disenfranchised?

METCALFE: I don’t believe any legitimate voter that actually wants to exercise that right and takes on the according responsiblity that goes with that right to secure their photo ID will be disenfranchised. As Mitt Romney said, 47% of the people that are living off the public dole, living off their neighbors’ hard work, and we have a lot of people out there that are too lazy to get up and get out there and get the ID they need. If individuals are too lazy, the state can’t fix that.

It is probably good for Mitt that even at the state and local level, people are taking his strong message of 47% of America lovingly going to fuck itself in its tender bum to the airwaves.

Here is something that occurs to Your Wonkette: if you are too lazy to go get an ID, aren’t you too lazy to commit voter fraud? Let’s think about this for a second: you are too lazy to go stand in line at the DMV, but you will drive around to multiple locations on a workday to fraudulently vote after you fraudulently registered weeks in advance in coordination with thousands of other lazy bums. Presumably, there are also checklists and spreadsheets that go along with this sort of thing, all coordinated by someone who won’t take a half hour to get an ID. (Let us never mind that it can actually take hours or even days to get an ID. Those are facts to be discussed in December.)

Maybe if you are so lazy about getting an ID, you are also so lazy about frauding people, and so should probably be allowed to vote without an ID. This, friends, is logic.

Has anyone broken it, (gently, because teatarded, obvs), to this jackhole, Metcalfe, that HE is living off the "public dole"?

  2. iburl

I might be more worried about people losing their votes if I had any faith that Republican IT guys weren't just going to just switch them anyway.

      1. Redgyal

From my experience most of them are republican. It has to do with a tendency to see the world as black and white (binary not race).

        1. GunToting[Redacted]

Seems like the fits the Libertarian ethos completely. They never like it when reality intrudes on their ideal utopia.

He is hopefully from the Mississippi part of PA- not my birthplace and home for 21 years- Philadelphia. Not that we didn't have our own Philly jackasses.

  4. el_donaldo

What?!? Lazy freeloaders living off the government dole? Are white, Southern conservatives now invading Pennsylvania?

Oh, they're already there. Never mind.

    1. Baconzgood

"The region of Pennsylvania not found within either the Philadelphia or Pittsburgh city limits." Thank you very much.

      Yours Truely,

White, Southern conservatives are invading Pennsylvania and nothing is being done about it?

      George Meade libel!!!!!!

  5. NorthStarSpanx

I've tried living off my neighbors’ hard work, that exceptional meat head's take-home forces me to wait to get my nails retouched every two weeks instead of one.

  6. Oblios_Cap

Shit, someone in Flor-i-duh renewing a drivers licewnse this year has to bring so much documentation it's riduculous. If you've been divorced or ever changed your name (like getting married) you have to bring even more crap with you.

    It's fucking insane!

    1. UnholyMoses

If it weren't for stupid voters, those idiots would not have been elected in the first place.

Just sayin' … (or typin', in this case)

  7. fartknocker

I bet 47% of the PA remember you as a gaping asshole in your next election.

This election is about one thing: us versus them. I'm pretty sure America has many more Joe and Jane Main Street working class men and women than wives with fucking prancing ponies.

      1. Baconzgood

No honestly. He's really not very smart. He was all proud at an event at Heinz Hall that he went to Kansas State. It was funny when everyone in the conversation circle went to Ivy League (except for Baconz, I only went to CMU).

  8. C_R_Eature

The real question is: are 47% of Pennsylvanians too lazy to find Metcalfe and kick him vigorously in the Nutz until he goes home?

EDIT: Kick vigorously in the Nutz, with VOTES!

      1. C_R_Eature

What, mine? It's a Broad-Stripe Cuttlefish. Probably threatening the diver photographer.

EDIT: On second thought, it's probably Cthulhu.

"It is probably good for Mitt that even at the state and local level, people are taking his strong message of 47% of America…"

This will be the gift that keeps on giving. Thank you, Mother Jones, Jimmy Carter's grandson, and whoever filmed it in the first place. Thank you.

    1. PsycWench

This guy's going further than Mitt…Mitt talked about 47% not paying income tax and Metcalf has them all on welfare and food stamps, er, SNAP. I'm sure the Romney campaign is excited about that.

      1. eggsacklywright

And it's so difficult for voters this time around, what with Mittz being digital and his wife being Annalog.

  10. SorosBot

Yeah, poor people are just so lazy, after they get home from their second or third minimum-wage job they're just too tired to go take all the endless time needed to get an ID. Lazy!

    1. PsycWench

I know some of those 47% and they work their butts off. This reminds me of living in Philadelphia for two years, and interacting with a lot of immigrants for the first time. Whoever said immigrants were lazy sure didn't know the ones I met.

  11. BigSkullF*ckingDog

Live off my neighbor's hard work? Obvs this guy has never met my neighbors. Unless playing Madden NFL while on meth at 3 am as loud as humanly possible is considered hard work.

  12. Baconzgood

He said once that “One fraudulently cast voter is one too many,” only to continue "If it takes 300,000 people kept from their civic duty so imaginary dragons can't fraudulently vote than I'll do it. Snarf zipple whaka whaka mo-mo"

    1. SorosBot

That's still one more fraudulently cast vote than there is any evidence has actually been cast in recent decades,

    2. Ruhe

I think they use the same logic on the capitol punishment issue. Few innocents dead for every ten guilty that get the needle is a fair price to pay.

  13. Pres.Beeblebrox

Why don't these fuckheads just get it over with it and say they don't want the Blahs in the cities to vote for Obama? I'm sure there are plenty of nice Blah gentlemen from North Philadelphia or the Hill District in Pittsburgh who would be willing to show them the error of their ways.

  14. johnnyzhivago

The GOP is on a roll – by excluding the 47% in lower income groups, 51-52% of female americans, 10% gay americans, 12% latino americans and 15% african americans – they are going to be pushing toward ZERO PERCENT of the vote this year.

HOST: Are you absolutely convinced…that the methods to implement this law are effective and will in fact make sure no legitimate gun owner will be deprived of their second amendment rights?

METCALFE: I don’t believe any legitimate gun enthusiast that actually wants to exercise that right and takes on the according responsiblity that goes with that right to secure a permit and use liscense will be prevented from owning arms. As Mitt Romney said, 47% of the people that are living off the public dole, living off their neighbors’ hard work, and we have a lot of people out there that are too lazy to get up and get out there and take the gun safety courses they need. If individuals are too lazy, the state can’t fix that.

    Nah…that could never happen.

I was in the local pub being harangued by an acquaintance who is a libertarian. He was getting quite drunk and took offense when I told him that I had to hand it to him – at least he was honest about being a selfish prick. Whereupon he began calling me a useless parasite since I work for a psuedo-governmental agency (it did no good to tell him I was not paid by the goverment and was not actually a government employee; you know how facts can really screw up a good screaming match). anyway, I got tired of arguing and told him that yes, I was just a slacker wasting his tax dollars, and I loved doing it. I offered to cut out the middleman by letting him pay my bar tab up front.

    Hilarity ensued.

      1. Oblios_Cap

Well, the fact that he was claiming that he was a producer (not a moocher!) was because recently he got busted for growing and selling dope. Which I was nice enough to point out, though I am not against the practice personally. That episode has only increased his antipathy toward the government, for some reason.

  17. SorosBot

It's the fault of those nasty feminists, making Metalfe's dick so tiny like Rush's that he just has to be a ginormous asshat shitdick too.

    1. MadBrahms

If he's too lazy to go get up and get out there and get a penis enlargement, there's nothing we can do about that.

  18. T3rbo

Where are the small government folks on this issue? I don't have to carry or own any god damn id to do anything except travel (hum..) or to be brown in Arizona (right..), and the state wants to exclude me from the democratic process unless I request an ID from them?
Why are none of these fake mother fuckers in their colonial uniforms making any noise about government issued voting permits? Oh, that's right, because they don't read god damned books, they only listen to the radio, and everyone they listen to on the radio says its all good via code words and dog whistles.
Blacks are stealing from you, let's make sure they can't vote because they won't pay the poll tax/ pass the laziness test. That was real hard to decode there, Senator racist piece of shit. Also, obstacles to voting are ok as long as I can easily clear them. Everyone else, too bad you fail the tests I put up-you failed them because you are black. The end.

    1. HELisforHEL

Well said. And their silence on this point is pretty deafening (though unsurprising).

It's amazing that a bunch of lardasses in government-issued Jazzies can feel that they are the hardest working people evah and that the only reason they don't have that mansion on the hill is because the Blahs and Feminazis and gubmint regulations (like clean air & water) are keeping them down.

    2. shelwood46

I say we put it out there that this is a government conspiracy to get all our photos in a national database for that new, expensive facial recognition software the feds just bought.

  19. Baconzgood

    From his website:

"legislators across the nation who are committed to working together in demanding full cooperation among our federal, state and local governments in eliminating all economic attractions and incentives for illegal aliens"

It's working! No one, legal or illegal, finds Evans City an economic attraction.

  20. Oblios_Cap

Our Super of Elections sends the sample ballots out early enough that I've already located everything by the time I vote.

  21. mrblifil

This goes back to slave masters. Slaves didn't volunteer to be there, and didn't agree to work hard, yet faced the constant possibility of violent reprisal for not working hard. To then turn around and accuse the slaves of being inherently lazy probably served as an extremely useful way for owners to guarantee continued compliance. Doesn't matter how hard you worked yesterday, if you're branded (perhaps literally) as lazy. Gotta prove yourself anew every goddamn day or be whipped or even hung.

What this guy is saying has it's roots in all that.

  22. KeepFnThatChicken

Goddamn these people and their legitimate rape, legitimate children, and legitimate voters. Goddamn them all.

  23. magic_titty

If we're living off our neighbors hard work, why can't we just ask them to vote twice? Once for themselves, once for me. Problem solved.

  24. lotusflwr

WTF, I come to Wonkette for laffs while I lounge abount unemployed all day, eating gubmint cheese n' peanut butter sammiches, willfully being lazy/ill/irresponsible; I don't come here for LOGIC! Plz henceforth endeavour to the Fox News high standards of vapid, irrational political pseudo-infotainment and stop drinking from the Kool-Aid lamestream.

Damnit, now I'm thirsty and want Kool-Aid.

  25. Self-Uploader

I hope this asshat has parents on social security who no longer drive (hence no "proper id) who are still strong enough, nevertheless, to whop his ass. (Wishful thinking I know.)

  26. docterry6973

That is the last straw. I am going to get my photo id just as soon as the gummint sends me the cab fare.
