Who is this manly man protecting Elizabeth Warren? Some funny guy… who gives Elizabeth Warren problems that she probably doesn’t need right now? Watch, as this annoying Republican tracker gets exactly what he wants from the fella in the green hat: a little camera shove and some comical threats.
The Weekly Standard is all over this:
The Republican staffer holding the camera films Warren leaving the event and entering her SUV. One of Warren’s aides, who looks to be, perhaps, her driver, pushes the camera twice, and the second time it falls to the ground. The tracker picks up the camera and continues filming, while the Warren staffer says, “Dude, get out of my face or I’m going to call the police.”
“It’s a public event,” the Republican staffer says multiple times. Finally, as he’s walking away, the Warren staffer says, “You’re messing with the wrong people.”
He really does say “you’re messing with the wrong people,” too. Silly!

I thought all liberals were draft-dodging, spineless drunkards who don't like confrontation unless backed by the New Black Panthers? Something is fishy about this so-called video.
He could be a brainwashed Southie
The camera-guy got off lucky. I would KILL for Elizabeth Warren. (with votes?) She's my lovely lovely smart lady hero.
"Kiss my ass! This is a Holy Woman, show some respect!"
He is, too, messing with the wrong people! She's our next Hopey/Changey…but with a pair. Of steel.
Oh, fuck off with your fantasy "with a pair" crap. Elizabeth Warren couldn't have accomplished anything more as President under the current circumstances than "Hopey/Changey." I am seriously tired of that bullshit.
Plus also too, how many balls does Osama think Barack has?
If you've never tried to change things, like at your school, your job, your church, etc., you have absolutely no idea how long it can take to change anything. Take it from me, I've been one and it takes a v_e_r_y long time and you will never be looked upon as a hero. You want hero worship, do _not_ be a change agent.
Dubya was a doofus, but not a dummy and recently claimed that the blame Bush game was getting old and ineffective. Coming from the guy who remains as the main street doofus emeritus of the Republican Party there is a lot to be learned from the comment. It's an avoidance stance.
1. It is not too old to continue to remind that this country was really fucked by George W. Bush policies, not inauthentic propositions that needed a full court press of the government apparatus to implement, but policies that were put in place by Dubya, his father and a few pompus assholes who benefited greatly.
2. I will be very effective it it can be compressed into a 20 second politicoad filler or a bumper sticker. The most likely turn out in this year's election are those people who were born between 1946 and 1956 and they are facing cat food futures as an alternative to the retirement they worked 40 years to watch dissolve in 2008.
Difference is between accomplishments and conviction. Nobody could have accomplished more in the face of crap he's faced. He tried to reach across the aisle and had his hand chewed and spit out each time. There would come a point where he could say 'fuck it' and stand for the platform that elected him, call out the mouth-breathers. The haters hate him no matter what he does. Trying to play nice with haters should've ended a while back. I truly admire the man; even for not throwing in the towel by now. I also hope that the next four years will reflect a more pronounced and determined progressiveness. Come out, so to speak – and come out swinging. Firmly and publicly counter the bullshit spewing from the right; beat his drum a lot louder. (I know; I'd make a lousy politician, especially with elections forever around the corner.) His accomplishments are still numerous despite all the intransigence , so you are playing apologist for the wrong reason.
Pressed for an explanation, Warren replied "Don't ask me about my business Kay".
A little push and shove is better than waking up with a horse head in your bed.
Hey, for some of us, that's a quality night….
Yeah, but best of all is a little push and shove then waking up with a horse head.
Yeah I wouldn't say that works for everyone. Anne Romney would prefer a horse's head at this point so she could feel warmth and because she enjoys abusin' animals with her bot-man Mittens (Seamus, Super-Hit). As far as I understand it, Guiliani's wife has more degeneracy than marrying a known cross-dresser, also. Her job before becoming the third or fourth Mr. Guiliani (as they say at parties) was to purchase animals at the humane society for vivisection by her healthcare company during demonstrations. Republicans do seem to have a real cruel streak toward even animals…but that just goes with their established policy of kicking vulnerable peoples and creatures while giggling…
Sean Penn could not do it better. The camera move.
Warren will send the Democratic staffer to sensitivity training, because the only thing better than one cliche, is two.
Also, green hat is The Sex. I'd hit that.
Not that there is any problem in stalking with a camera?
Or even just a stranger trying to get into a private car.
When does it stop being a public event? When they leave the podium? When she gets in the car? And is the driver subject to the same limitless surveillance as the political candidate? When is the tracker interfering with the campaign staffers' personal liberty and violating their freedom of movement in public?
These are all questions I expect to see thoroughly discussed on Brietbart.com, Redstate, and NewsBusters.
When she joins the Republican party, of course. Haha! It's a men-only club.
Yes.
When the tracker is a Democrat, of course.
Wow liberals who fight back, sweet. I do believe republicans will now cry and whine incessantly about how mean they were treated. And those people thrown out of Bush rallies had it coming.
On Yahoo, that red state browser, they have an article up in which Rmoney is crying that the Democrats saying mean things about him, is hurting him in the polls. So, like the little rich bitch he is, he's going to cry to the press, so they'll make the Dems stop. Why doesn't he just run home to mommy, the little coward. Someone should give him a good slap-around!
This is clearly a sign of Elizabeth Warren's deep hatred for colonialism.
No, it WAS a public even, which was over, dickwad; but from O'Reilly to thankfully-dead Breitbart's alcolytes to this pirckless shithead, the Republicans do love to film themselves being assholes to Democrats and somehow think it reflects badly on their victims and not them when they get pissed off.
You should see what Scott Brown does if anyone gets near his truck.
You should see what I'm gonna do next time I hear about Scott Brown's motherfucking truck.
I hear he still brings it up. You've been a Senator for two years and you want to talk about your damned truck? Your record must be PATHETIC.
I wish I could upfist you twice. In a good way.
Record? He has no record, at least not one he's willing to run on. I've seen his TV ads, and they never mention anything he's done besides "reach across the aisle to end partisan gridlock".
I just looked that up in my politician-to-English phrasebook, and it translates as "cast a couple of votes that I understood were absolutely necessary for me to have any realistic chance of reelection". Principled!
You mean the one with 1,121,738 miles that he keeps bitching about?
IN BED, even. Also.
On his Jordaches, also, too.
Worst. Pillowtalk. Ever!
Pulls off all his clothes and covers up with a Twinkie?
Strips naked and wears his daughter's coconut bra?
he reminds them that his daughters are single
The American people have a right to see a woman walk to her SUV and get inside of it.
Point to the part in the constitution, where it says that, go on, I dare ya?
And in any case, with "rights" come responsibilities. And our republican cameraman would have the responsibility to get us that all important upskirt shot. Amirite?
Yawn. Call me when Warren people push him down and kick him in the head, Paultard style.
Or give him a haircut, Romney-style.
At least he didn't tell him to shove it. That would have the wrong "tone".
“It’s a public event,” the Republican staffer says multiple times. Finally, as he’s walking away, the Warren staffer says, “You’re messing with the wrong people.”
Public Event = I get to be an asshole
Damn, beat me to it… "It's a public event" means "I can do anything I want and you're not allowed to get mad at me… neener neener neener!"
When Snyder was running for governor here in Michigan, he would take over public space to have his "private events" and his staffers wouldn't allow Dems to video him. Of course, the asshats in this state love that stuff and voted that jerk into office. I'm still waiting for all the companies to come running into Michigan now that there is a lower business tax. Yeah, like that will happen.
Asshole behavior does not need justification. It is an expression of will.
Who's the "pussy" now, Wingnuts?
"You didn't film that."
"It's a public event"
This is probably the same asshole who stood within one millimeter of me in line at the supermarket, or the same one who tailgated me the other day and nearly rear – ended my car, or the same one whose loud yammering on his cellphone could be heard within a two block radius.
Asshole.
Shameful confession time: I was a tracker. It sucked balls. Its rude and petty and idiotic and I thought the whole enterprise beyond stupid. I hated it. It sucked. It is unfortunately a typical example of political campaign dweeb dorky machismo.
And I wasn't the dorky macho man, I am referring to the idiot who decided we needed a tracker and sent me out to do it. Dorky macho dweeb idiots, campaign people tend to be. And deep in the closet, too.
You are now qualified to be paparazzi.
I still don't understand what this is, this thing called tracker, did you tote a camera around too? Is it really a "stalker" but tracker sounds more … something?
Yes, you follow the other candidate everywhere with a video camera, hoping to catch a gaffe on tape. "Maccaca" would be the perfect example, whatsisname was actually calling out the opponent's tracker when he called the kid "maccaca."
Well, I guess it's all about your point of view then, cause I loved George Allen's macaca tracker (even if I didn't know what he was, or that that was a job). He made that whole thing work out BEAUTIFULLY.
It is possible, however, to be a tracker without being a massive douche, and without believing, "By all that is sacred, if I don't keep filming this person until the car door shuts on them and they drive out of sight I will have failed my candidate, America, and the God of my fathers!"
Trackers can, if competent adults, actually be on decent terms with the campaigns they track. The problem, especially with GOP trackers, is that they are so often young, arrogant, contemptuous of the opposition that they think they know everything about, and tunnel-visioned.
That would be George (?) Allen of Maryland, who had the "macaca" moment, and called the Asian (Indian) kid who was tracking him. I guess they don't like Asians (Indians) in Maryland. (Probably never saw a Bollywood movie either.)
George Allen was, at the time, US Senator from Virginia. He was up for relection and it is generally considered he lost to Jim Web because of the Macaca comment. He had previously served two terms as governor of VA (two two year terms). Jim Web has declined to run for reelection and his position on the Democratic ticket is being filled by Tim Kaine, who has the benefit of being DNC Chair during Obama's first term.
Polling seems somewhat mixed with two former governors and big names on the ballot. The polls are minors with the only name being SurveyUSA who is a poll for hire company and published the results almost as soon as produced. They have the race at 46/46. If there is a failure of Obama to get VA this year it is considered a likely win for the Republicans. A big turn out push in the DC suburbs is needed for both Obama and Kaine.
Did they at least give you the cool Aussie bush hat and a pair of hiking boots?
Macaca?
Warren Peace?
Awesome.
D'Ratz staffers with large battery backpacks need to trail Scott Brown around flashing him like mad with 200 watt camera strobes and singing ♪ Blinded by the light ♪.
Oh we only got in the opponents face with the strobes during debates, while they were answering questions.
This place could always use more front page pics. As much as I love the Romney fudge packer pic…
Anyone think us lefties might just be a tad fed up with the bullying/manipulation and hence victimization of RWNJs? (The answer is yes).
A tad. If some right wing tool was following me to my car like that, I might just whip out the pepper spray, then throw in a few crotch kicks for good measure while he was down rubbing the searing pain out of his eyeballs. "Gosh, officer, this brute attacked poor ole me as I was going into my vehicle. I did not retreat, I stood my ground. His cell phone? You mean this cell phone, loaded with bestiality porn and digital copies of the Anarchist Cookbook? Here you go. It's a shame he wasn't taking any video of our encounter, officer."

The next video this guy posted of him spitting on a homeless person with Parkinson's was even more hilarious.
Those Cherokee warriors don't take shit from anyone.
I love how the guy who has been following them around all day complains that "you're walking towards me".
Yeah, and what have you been doing all day long, genius?
Some "Tracker". Did this jerk know he was holding the camera sideways? Somebody should give him a quick lesson on how to use his HandyCam.
seriously, what does the guy expect to get filming her get into a car? I thought trackers were supposed to track public statements and speeches not every day life.
No, GOP trackers are supposed to provoke a response and edit out all context, in an effort to make the opposing candidate look bad.
He was hoping to get a shot of Stalin waiting inside the car.
But if he held the camera correctly, it wouldn't have fallen so easily, and he'd have lost most of the dramatic effect of this clip.
He got the shot he wanted, is what I'm saying.
Probably should have punched him in the mouth and then issued the typical GOP non-apology, apology by saying I'm sorry if my fist offended you….seems to work for those asshats.
You know, Weekly Standard, when someone is bullied and fights back, most people are sympathetic to the original victim and want to see the bully get their asses kicked; it's telling of the conservative sociopathy that you are sympathetic to the bully, and assume everyone else will be so too.

Macaca clip occurred during a rally, with the tracker in the crowd, not even at the front.
It's one thing to film the appearances. It's a different thing to stalk the candidate after the event is over.
If somebody had goaded Joe Walsh into a shove or punch, we'd all be having a snarkgasm.
If Democrats had wanted that to happen, can there be any doubt it would've happened already? The guy clearly lacks impulse control.
