There no longer is as solid a guarantee that a veteran called up by his reserve unit gets his job back when he returns and those guys are at least due unemployment if they cannot find work.This adds to the artificiality of the current unemployment statistics because that law expired and was not renewed so Obama gets blaimed for thousands of veterans who are on unemployment but would not have been counted under the Bush years by the BLS.
