not a racist bone in his body

Lucky Children, World’s Most Racist Non-Racist Man Is Louisiana School Psychologist

segregation and blowjobs forever
Mark A. Traina, a school psychologist in Louisiana’s Jefferson Parish, totally loves his job segregating black children in the parish’s “alternative schools.” (This is where bad children and smokers go.) But now the stupid Southern Poverty Law Center is suing his school district for racial discrimination, and he is Exhibit A just because he twitzed a bunch of stuff about how black children are criminals who should be put down like dogs! Jeez, SPLC, oversensitive much? Anyway, Mark A. Traina has an airtight alibi about those twats and NOLA comments. Is it that he didn’t write them? No, it is that all you have to do is look at prison populations to see that crime = black, and vice-versa! Good alibi, Mark A. Traina! Good luck getting the everloving fuck sued out of you!

“The Southern Poverty Center knows that these allegations are ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE!,” Traina wrote in an education forum on last week, using his own name as he criticized the center’s earlier allegations. “This is just another way to harass the Jefferson Parish Public School System. One only needs to read the Times Picayune to see who the real trouble makers are. Sadly, it is disproportionately young black males. Everyone knows that our jails throughout the United States are disproportionately filled with black people. Why would the rate be any different in an educational environment?”

He rests his case! But are you sure there is nothing you want to add, Mark A. Traina?

“Everything I said is fact-based, backed up by data,” he said. “I don’t have a prejudiced bone in my body. I’m not a racist. I’m a realist.”

THERE we go! That’s more like it!

Let us peep some of Mark A. Traina’s tweets, which are most definitely not racist:

OK cool! So, Jefferson Parish, have you fired Mark A. Traina, “Wallace Man,” who thinks black youths are “terrorist” but he is not racist, yet? How about … now? Now? No? Pfft. Fucking unions. Oh well, once they do, we hear NRO is hiring.

Never trust anyone wearing a hoodie. Zuckerberg's plan to rid the world of wealth is working. (FB closed at 31).

      1. sewollef

        True dat.

I read only this morning that both underwriters, Morgan Stanley and Golden Sacks [I think], had quietly advised their closest clients to avoid the Facebook IPO at launch, since their value "had been overestimated". And the only ones to really make money had either already made it, or were Facebook execs.

Meanwhile, the average punter out there was salivating at the price it was reaching.

      1. sullivanst

This is just the simple truism that IPOs are a completely rigged game. You're probably better off playing nickel slots.

        1. BerkeleyBear

Only differences between an IPO and a pyramid scheme that I can tell is the top of the IPO can get fucked over, too, and there's no underwriters getting rich on the side in the traditional pyramid scheme.

          1. sullivanst

The real top of the IPO is normally pretty safe, by which I mean the guys who get in at par value (or at a heavy discount from offering price on the secondary) while the stock's still private. That's who Manchu's correctly pointing out "made their money a month ago".

The other difference is that IPO stock normally talks a good while longer to reach zero than a pyramid "share" once the game's up.

    1. TapeMonki

Facebook is still trading at a 55 p/e multiple, while its peers generally trade around 20, so it still has plenty of room to trade down.

The SEC should really try to find out who at Morgan Stanley made a huge amount of money by lying to their clients about the market for this POS.

      1. Lascauxcaveman

It'll find its rightful place (~ $18) soon enough. Then fade away when the next big thing does it in like MySpace.

      1. Steverino247

        This is brillliant:

Lastly, kindly forgo all civility in your discourse . . . you are, after all, anonymous.

        Love it.

    1. Steverino247

You're going to let this guy see your ass before the rest of us get to?!

Oh, it's a statement of contempt? Nevermind.

    1. sewollef

      A cock-erel no doubt.

Well, someone had to step up and state the obvious. I guess it was my turn.

  2. PuckStopsHere

Speaking of going off to school, my daughter just left home less than an hour ago. I know this is OT, but this is way tougher than I thought it would be, and I thought it would be pretty tough. I wanted to run down the street after her car screaming as loudly as I could scream, "Don't go!" But, I didn't.

    1. Lascauxcaveman

Yeah, my mom says she cried when I went off to the university. Funny, because I was the fifth of seven children, and you'd think she'd be more relieved than anything.

I guess I was the favorite, or maybe she was just worried I wouldn't make it there in my crappy old Datsun that wouldn't go over 35mph for some reason.

    2. Doktor StrangeZoom

On the upside, she's off to school, and not meeting a man from the motor trade.

    3. Steverino247

She's off to school and not to Basic Training at Ft. Jackson, SC.

      Feel better now?

      1. PuckStopsHere

I haven't been able to get that bleeping Beatles song out of my head for a week. (And does "motor trade" mean she's meeting a car salesman?) And yes, it is some small comfort that she going to a great school on an academic scholarship and that she is as positioned to succeed as a young woman could be, but damn it, who's going to listen to my jokes?

      2. Texan_Bulldog

Hey, I went to BT at Fort McClellan, AL & I turned out okay….except for the drinking and bitterness. Hmm…

        1. Steverino247

          Good luck to him.

(And if he's assigned to the 2/47 Infantry, remind him of how they scored 47 points against those bastards in 3/47 in the 1974 Ft. Lewis football championship to go undefeated.)

    4. MosesInvests

My son went to boarding school this year (his choice) for HS. Basically, it's like he went to college three years early. I feel your pain.

  3. hagajim

Why would black people be crying about birds if white people were killing them? Mark Traina certainly isn't Mark Twain.

  4. gullywompr

Let's see… people of a certain race should be put to death because they cause all of society's problems…

That's fucking genius! Why hasn't anybody thought of this before?

    1. Butch_Wagstaff

Eh. In the end, all the bigots would end up turning against each other because of eye or hair color, height, lack of rotundity, shoe size, or whatever.

  5. Chichikovovich

Given what he is saying, and the fact that he wrote those tweets, he evidently has no inner censor [for example – one saying "OK, you believe this, but if you say it openly you'll lose your job"] keeping him from saying it, in public, out loud, repeatedly. Which means his superiors knew full well that he believed these things and they kept him in a position where he could have a massive negative effect on the lives of African American children.

I got no snark to offer on this one. The thought of all the obstacles this person placed in the way of struggling kids who were already doing everything they could to compensate for life placing them 50 metres behind the starting line, the number of young lives he may have wrecked, and that he did it with the full knowledge of his superiors, just kills me.

    1. emmelemm

It is, truly, the nadir of society. It is everything that is wrong. It is painful even to contemplate briefly.

      {no snark}

  6. SorosBot

"Everyone knows that our jails throughout the United States are disproportionately filled with black people."

Yeah, because more black people are arrested and charged with crimes. Guess what, racist moron, that does not mean more black people commit crimes.

If I have a carton of chocolate and vanilla ice cream, and take the chocolate and force it into a bowl while leaving the vanilla unmolested, that does not mean that there was only chocolate ice cream in the carton; just that I only scooped up the chocolate. Get it?

      1. BerkeleyBear

On top of the conviction disparity, you also have to factor in the availability of diversion programs, which vary wildly by location but I suspect have a strong correlation to economic well being/resources to, say, pay for private rehab instead of getting tossed in prison.

      2. Negropolis

No, race comes in on the front end (arrests) too; in fact, your link even shows that given the racial make up of the nation. It's just that it becomes even more of a factor when it gets to the courts.

        1. sewollef

Exactly. Given that blacks make up what, 12% of the population of this country, all things being equal should mean whites get arrested more than 9x as often as blacks.

In the UK, back in the late 70's the racist Tory government instituted a law colloquially referred to as the "Sus Law". In other words, you could be stopped, searched and/or arrested merely on 'suspicion' of doing something wrong.

No prizes for guessing who made up the overwhelming majority of those stopped under the law.

    1. sullivanst

But don't you see how it's justified to send only black people to jail because only black people are already in jail?

        1. Skullfry Buddha

For reals? Please let that be true cuz this story needs a fucking silver lining.

    1. bagofmice

Funny story. Growing up in a small town inside of a Christian cult that forbade secular media, I was completely ignorant of gay culture. This means that it took me years to realize that the thoroughly mustachioed gym teacher playing Blur's boys and girls song was so gay you could see it from orbit. I finally moved to a real city and got an education. The self-face-palmings were epic.

      1. sbj1964

My girlfriend is the same way.I took her to a french restaurant where all the food is flaming including the waiters, and she was clueless. Our waiter actually put a lisp in the word cracker. And she asked me if I thought he was gay?

          1. sbj1964

You have to realize this guy was not just flaming.I think he went SUPER NOVA at age 6.He was all "Look at me I'm a Nebula!"

    2. spinozasgod

A friend from Australia was in Alabama when he was 11because his dad was teaching at the war college there. He didn't say the pledge of allegiance(being an Australian) in home room and the teacher(who was the gym teacher)had 7 other kids beat him up and he ended up in the hospital for a week.

  7. ChilLysol

UPDATE: Mark A. Traina issues an apology:

"I'm sorry if any sensitive niggers out there were offended by me stating some simple, well-known facts that you are clearly unwilling to accept. You wanna see a racist? Look in the mirror! I'm just a guy who tells it like it is."

  8. memzilla

With a little subject/object substitution, the rants actually kinda work. Viz:

If [the 99%] were going aroung killing people ['s futures] the [1%] would be crying Fowl. This is BULLSHIT-to let one group control the lives of all.

[One Percenters] who won't follow the law need to be put down not incarcerated. Put down like the Dogs they are!

[One Percenters] have created an atmosphere of Fear throughout America. The Real Terrorist live among us! Not over seas! Right here and now

  9. Wile E. Quixote

If White People were going around killing people the Blacks would be crying fowl.

Reasons why Mark Traina should be ineligible for any job, ncluding custodian or "lunch lady", at any educational institution:
    1) "White People" is not capitalized.
    2) "Blacks" referring to African-Americans is not capitalized.
    3) The correct expression is "crying foul", as in a "foul ball" or "foul play"
    4) He's a useless, good-for-nothing white, southern racist fucktard.

  10. missannthropethefirst

If everyone cried fowl, there would be no hunger. Unless you didn't like tiny, tear sized chickens.

  11. Wile E. Quixote

I just figured out why Traina seems to be randomly capitalizing certain nouns in his screeds, he's translating from the German.

  12. natoslug

I know Young Black Thugs sold out after their first album, but to wish death upon them is too much! This man is the worst music critic ever.

  13. MarionNYNY

Question: What's the difference between the American South and hell?
Answer: One is an awful shithole filled with the dregs of humanity and the other one doesn't exist.

  14. Monsieur_Grumpe

Traina seems like a nice enough fellow but I certainly wouldn't want “his kind” living in my neighborhood.

  15. Rotundo_

So with folks like this in their educational system does this mean that Louisiana will be dropping to 51st place in the educational rankings?

    1. BerkeleyBear

Funny story – Illinois used to be ranked behind DC in terms of overuse of large facilities for people with developmental disabilities. So they were, in fact, ranked 51st (and falling) among the states.

  16. Lionel[redacted]Esq

This is just what people like Hannity and Breitbart were trying to warn us about. You let one of them become president, and then all of the sudden, they all get uppity.

    1. sullivanst

You let one of themthose people become president

Corrected for Hannity/Breitbart's turn of phrase.

  17. littlebigdaddy

So he's reading the Times-Picayune and counting the number of Dontays and Tyrones vs. the Bubbas and Earls in the police blotter. It's Science!

    1. Serolf_Divad

Well, since he claims that white people… sorry, White People don't "go around killing people" I doubt he's doing even that. Rather, he's just "stating the obvious" or, as I like to put it: making shit up.

  18. Skullfry Buddha

Having been an alternative ed teacher for a number of years, I know for a fact that many times the program is just a convenient place to put inconvenient children so fuck you mister racist piece of shit.

  19. Callyson

One only needs to read the Times Picayune to see who the real trouble makers are. Sadly, it is disproportionately Republican lawmakers.

  20. sbj1964

I blame the ABC's ( Angry, Blond, Cunts,)at Fox News.Hannity's Nazi female hit squad. Why are these peroxide bimbo's so mad?

    1. Designer_Rants

Hey, I like that. Nice change of pace from when conservatards always ask on Daily Caller/Facebook/WingNutDaily, "Why are liberals such Angry Liberals?"

  21. OldWhiteLies

Cripes. This guy makes me want to go shake Mema's hand and sit a spell – at least she has the self-awareness to look confused at her own circular-racistness.

    1. emmelemm

Also, Mema does not have power to affect hundreds of children's lives (other than her own, I suppose).

    2. swordfis

I feel kind of sorry for Mema – she doesn't seem to have been given a lot to work with in the genetics department. This guy, however, is a doctrinaire racist who is professionally responsible for his ideas and actions. And spelling.( I NOMINATE "CRYING FOWL" AS THE WEEKLY MEME!)

  22. CapnFatback

If White People were going around killing people the Blacks would be crying fowl.

"Cuz they're nothin' but jiiiiive turkeys! Get it? WHAT?! Oh, now that's racist?!"

  23. sullivanst

    Dear Mr. Traina…

If White People were going around killing people the Blacks would be crying fowl

Aside from the terrible English involved here, uh… more white people were arrested for homicides in 2010 than black people, according to the DOJ. More black people than whites were victims of murder.

I do believe I just cold homicided your premise, motherfuckah!

  24. CapnFatback

Everything I said is fact-based, backed up by data,” he said. “I don’t have a prejudiced bone in my body.

"Some of my best bones are black."

  25. Skullfry Buddha

I have it on good authority that your real ass is too nice to have this fucktard near it. How about we have him kiss a real 2×4?

  26. MissTaken

    “I don’t have a prejudiced bone in my body. I’m not a racist. I’m a realist.”

Funny it's always the most racist, dickless, piece of shit, white trash, motherfucking asswipes who claim to not be racist.

    1. sullivanst

If you're actually not racist, you don't get yourself in situations where you might feel the need to "correct" others' "misconception" that you are racist.

  27. Doktor StrangeZoom

Golly. It's getting to where a guy can't make a casual suggestion that Blacks be "put down" without being though of as a racist. Where DO people get such ridiculous ideas?

    1. swordfis

One day it's putting gays in concentration camps and starving them to death, now it's indiscriminately killing young black males. What about the Jews?!! No one cares about the classics anymore in this country.

  28. Skullfry Buddha

Hey may not have a racist bone in his body…but his blood is 100 proof racism.

  29. horsedreamer_1

You know who goes into psychology as a major/occupation? People who need psychologists.

  30. Wile E. Quixote

Do you know who else was a Young Black Thug who wouldn't obey the law? Well clearly not Hitler, that guy was lily-white and totally queer for tall, strapping, blond-haired, blue-eyed Aryan boys with high cheekbones.

  31. pdiddycornchips

I'm guessing Jefferson County doesn't win a lot of awards for their excellence in education.

  32. Beowoof

I've started about 10 comments, but I've got nothing, this guy is at best a real asshole. The south he loves so much would be nothing without centuries of forced labor from African-Americans and now he wants them put down. What's unsettling you know there are a bunch just like him with less education and impulse control who would like to make putting down into an action plan. Reliving what there forefathers did. I am hoping for the day that this guy shows up in the emergency room and the only doctor is Black.

  33. owhatever

Fight the good fight, Mark. But I think if you think that I think what you think you think, then you are probably a racist after all. Congratulations. Fox Nation is proud of you.

    1. Veritas78

So a gutless racist, then? Next, he'll be trolling for big, black dicks in restrooms across the south. I predict this won't end well.

On the other hand, it might!

  34. Naked_Bunny

I'm sure having people like Traina in positions of authority is not at all a contributing factor to those prison statistics.

  35. pinkocommi

Serial killers are most likely to be well-educated white men. School psychologist Mark A. Traina is a well-educated white man. Ergo, Mark A. Traina is a serial killer.

    It's called logic, People.

  36. Redgyal

Not only does he not have a racist bone in his body he also does not have a functioning brain cell in his head.

  37. Dr. Nick Riviera

And here's some asshole on MSNBC saying the his tweets show a more "nuanced" view on race than the "liberal" SPLC ascribes to him. Seriously. Fuck you, M. Alex Johnson. It doesn't matter that not every comment was dripping with hatred. He just suggested black thugs…not white thugs…only the black ones, be killed. FUCK YOU.

    1. finette_

Well of course. I've lived in Louisiana for almost five years and read enough news comments to know that "thug" is a good ol' dog whistle for what they really want to say. In short, there is no such thing as a white thug for this guy.

  38. Negropolis

Young Black Thugs, eh?! I haven't heard that group, yet.

I can't snark much beyond this. That there are parts of this country where folks that openly hold these views get awarded with jobs of consequence in these communities gives me a sadz. :(

    1. glamourdammerung

Republicans are nothing like Nazis. After all, the Nazis had a consistent foreign policy and a lot of them even fought in the wars they started.

  39. MiniMencken

Who gives out college degrees to people who can't spell and what educational institutions hire them? This entire story leaves me horrified, and not in a good way.

  40. DahBoner

You might be a racist redneck if the following is on a chain:

    A) your wallet

    B) your dog

    C) those negra children under your porch
