congresswomen gone wild

Eagle Forum Pretty Sure Rape Victim Congresswoman Is The Real Rapist

Why are women constantly raping Roger Schlafly? What is this stupid Violence Against Women Act, and why do all these whining, lying women think it is up to “the law” to protect them from their meathead husbands’ flying fists? And while the Eagle Forum is wondering, why is some stupid congresslady bitching about how when she got raped, and her attacker was put on trial, she kept getting asked about, like, why she was a single mom, and why she was dressed so slutty, and didn’t she seduce her attacker by being a slutty-dressed single mom? Why wasn’t she on trial for raping her fine upstanding gentleman, by forcing him to rape her? Sorry, Joe Biden, but Eagle Forum has just CRUSHED your precious VAWA, with LOGIC, why don’t you GET SOME?

Here in its entirety is a blog post by Roger Schlafly (son of Phyllis), so you don’t have to click over there. (Oh, is that bad linky etiquette? Sorry.)

What VAWA is about

AP reports:
WASHINGTON (AP) – House Republicans set up a showdown Wednesday with the Senate and President Barack Obama over legislation to protect women from domestic violence, a fight that’s become as much about female voters this election year as cracking down on abuse. …

“The man I married had a penchant for drinking and was very violent when he drank,” the bill’s sponsor, freshman Rep. Sandy Adams, R-Fla., said during floor debate.

Really? Is that what the law is about? Is VAWA going to somehow use federal law to protect women from marrying men who like to get drunk and crazy?

Wisconsin Democrat Gwen Moore recalled what it was like to try to press charges against her rapist in the days before the law’s passage.

“I took him to court (but) indeed, I was on trial,” Moore said. “I had to prove, as a victim, that I was not being fraudulent in my accusations. They brought up how I was an unwed mother with a baby. Maybe I seduced him. They talked about how I was dressed.”

So she testified in court that a man raped her, but did not want to answer questions about whether she seduced the man. She wants a federal law to presume that men are guilty so that female accusers do not have to answer embarrassing questions.

Another hot VAWA issue is visas:

Ronan and his allies argue that there’s what he calls a “big national fraud” in which immigrant women claim to be abuse victims in order to gain residency or citizenship through the act, which can offer women permanent residency if they testify against abusive husbands.

The Violence Against Women Act actually offers two avenues for victims of abuse to seek immigration relief. Women in the US illegally can currently seek temporary visas if they are victims of domestic violence.

More and more foreign women are getting permanent USA visas by making unverified accusations of abuse. We have an immigration policy that favors liars and whiners.

Hey women! If you want “the law” to “protect” you from getting beaten up, maybe you should have thought about being born men! And ladies, please stop raping everybody constantly with your seductive wiles and your motherhood! And immigrants, well, you are immigrants, which is so obvious we shouldn’t even have to say it. Roger Schlafly rests his case!

Oh haha, just Eagle Forum being Eagle Forum, right? Yes, because now apparently the entire House GOP caucus is an honorary member. Good job, everybody! High fives all around!

Roger Schlafly looks like the love child of Danny Bonaduce and Charles Manson and acts like them both.

    1. chicken_thief

I was thinking Festus and Grizzly Adams, but I think you nailed the CM eyes.

  2. hagajim

Jesus, you think the GOP is really trying to make sure no women ever vote Republican again. The hits just keep coming.

    1. sullivanst

Yes. He agrees with his mother that marital rape should be legal. Doesn't he look like the kind that would?

      1. sewollef

        He does — yeuk!

He looks like one of those homeless dudes I get on my subway ride into Manhattan every day — the kind that clears the car and has his hands down his shit-stained pants.

You know, a Wall Street trader.

      1. DonnyKerabotsos

I've got no particular snark here, but a thousand thumbs up for the reference to the 'tragodia.'

  3. Oblios_Cap

That's the first time I've heard that made-up factoid.

    Cite?

    1. sewollef

      Aah, yes. About those citations.

Roger told me he had all Friday's citations in the pocket of his jacket when he left for the office this morning. He can't seem to lay his hands on them just now.

      He'll call back though. Promise.

    2. SorosBot

      This Ronan guy's ass.

This is despicable; the reason the MRA creeps hate this portion of the VAWA is that it means that they can't use the threat of deportation to force their mail-order brides to stay with them as they beat them horrifically.

    3. NYNYNYjr

I heard that 45% of women who get visa through the VAWA do so fraudulently. My source is the National Information Association. Now everyone start using that number! The facts are growing!

      1. bikerlaureate

I read that on the internet (just now), so it's ripe for dissemination. Thanks!

    4. Lionel[redacted]Esq

Citations do not matter to Republicans. All that matters is that whatever figure you make up makes Democrats and Liberals look bad. Otherwise you have to put up with reality, and its well known liberal bias.

  4. MissTaken

Us nasty women are always forcing good, upstanding men to ram their penises into us. Where's the law protecting men from such abuse?

    1. tessiee

I know a man person who attacked a mugger by head-butting his fist.
But then, he's kinda poor, anyway, so fuck him.

      1. horsedreamer_1

Should have gone with "Pocketful of Kryptonite". That only rapes your ears.

  5. SayItWithWookies

Roger Schlafly is hoping the law evolves to the point where "those little boys were all asking for it, what with their shorts and their tousled hair" will be enough of an excuse to let him walk.

  6. edgydrifter

Congress will now propose all women be required by law to wear special garb to protect men from being tempted into impurity by women's whorish jiggly bits. No, it won't be a burka. It will be a "burka-inspired" garment with an American flag printed on it. They'll call it a "freedom suit."

  7. boobookitteh

I am thinking extremely uncharitable thoughts toward that gentleman right now.

      1. MissTaken

I'm pretty sure he's wearing a short skirt at the bottom on that picture, so yes, definitely asking for it.

  8. Chichikovovich

More and more foreign women are getting permanent USA visas by making unverified accusations of abuse.

True fact: this line sparked a memory of a grade eight English class, using a supplemental resource called Read magazine. I vividly recall one month where one of the articles in Read discussed rhetorical expressions and turns of phrase that were sure signs that the speaker/writer was just flat inventing bullshit non-facts. [Read didn't put it quite that way.]

At the top of the list was "more and more".

    1. MissTaken

"More and more women are finding Roger Shafly attractive and a desirable mate."

      Holy shit, you're right!

      1. SorosBot

        Ewwww.

Though maybe some enterprising woman can take one for the team, seduce him and get him drunk, then introduce his testicles to a rusty pair of gardening shears.

    2. Serolf_Divad

What do the following phrases have in common?:

      A) More and more scientists are beginning to question evolution.
      B) More and more scientists are beginning to question global warming.
      B) More and more scientists are beginning to question the link between HIV and AIDS.

    3. tessiee

As opposed to, "Yes! More!", which is often spoken with the utmost sincerity… at least at my house.

  9. gullywompr

This guy strikes me as the type who will one day be "asking for it" from his cellmate.

  10. radio-of-owls

I'm not saying Roger Schlafly is a filthy drunk serial rapist who beats women and children, but he apparently but does not want to answer embarrassing questions about whether he thrashed and raped a number of ladies and children.

    1. sewollef

"I'm not saying Roger Schlafly is a filthy drunk serial rapist who beats women and children but more and more liberal websites seem to think so."

      Fixed.

  11. Doktor StrangeZoom

Dear GOP: Please keep ramping this shit up, especially in congressional districts where there's a very close race. Thanks!

    1. sharethegrief

I think this is called transference. He can't single out his mom for hatred so rape victims are the next best thing.

  12. chicken_thief

How come all those skank dressed slut whores that going around seducing innocent men always have bruises all over their naughty bits afterward? None of the women I get lucky with are all trashed like that afterward. What am I doing wrong?!

    1. ChessieNefercat

"None of the women I get lucky with are all trashed like that afterward. What am I doing wrong?!"

Nothing! Really! Keep up the good work!

  13. Baconzgood

"whiners". Did that fucking cocksucking douche hat just call abused women whiners?

OH MY FUCKING GOD!!!!!!!! Wonkette is lucky it's under the new rules because Baconz would have some not nice things to say to him involving a claw hammer, a car battery, jumper cables, and duct tape.

    1. DashBarb Buddha

Would any of those also include the hard, bony structure that surrounds a brain?

        1. sullivanst

Actually, Roger has one; he's not stupid just fucking evil. He graduated summa cum laude in electrical engineering from Princeton and has a PhD in math from Berkley.

Which makes it all the more incomprehensible that he self-published a book entitled How Einstein Ruined Physics.

        2. DashBarb Buddha

Encases a brain? I mean, he can walk and breathe so he must have a functioning brain, at least at some level.

    2. SorosBot

These people actually think that's the case; that it's perfectly OK for a man top beat his wife, because she is his property and he can do whatever he wants to her. Fuck these vile creepy shits. I do not wish them death though, just the full Bobbit treatment that they deserve.

    3. Wile E. Quixote

I'd recommend using a deep-cycle marine battery instead of a car battery, they can really put out some serious amperage. Oh, and you might want to consider using gaffer's tape instead of duct tape, it's a lot easier to tear.

      1. V572 Is this him?

During my sentence at the Agricultural Training Institute in West Lafayette Indiana, fellow detainees who grew up on farms recommended a device called a fence shocker for this purpose. It stores up a big jolt of house current in a capacitor and then sends it down the wire all at once. ZZzzttzzTt!!! And quite modestly priced.

      2. tessiee

"gaffer's tape instead of duct tape, it's a lot easier to tear"

that's because gaffers are old guys, and they just don't have the upper body strength to tear duct tape anymore.

    4. Lascauxcaveman

I don't think that would necessarily be against commenting guidelines. That tool would probably call all that stuff "a good Friday night."

    5. tessiee

Let's just pour boiling hot wax on his eyebrows and rip them out by the roots.
I get charged for that, so it can't possibly count as torture.

    6. WhatTheHeck

Baconz, sounds like you’ve done some time with the CIA. What, with all that work experience an’ all

    7. NYNYNYjr

Yeah, he called abused immigrant women (possibly the least powerful, most vulnerable people in the country) whiners and liars. And yeah, he's a privileged white man. With a blog and probably a radio show and a fucking farm tended by immigrants.

      1. bikerlaureate

        Of course.
You forget your place. If any organization is knowledgeable about policy that favors liars and whiners, it's the Eagle Forum.

    8. boobookitteh

Yes. those items, together with a red hot tire iron, figure prominently in my own uncharitable thoughts.

  14. Lionel[redacted]Esq

Normal liberals. No one thinks about the Rapist, who would, under this law, have to give up his way of life. Think of the jobs that will be loss because the Socialists in this country want to take away our freedoms! Why does Obama and the Democrats always go against the individual with their laws and regulations, trying to wipe them out?

    1. prommie

He's pissing on the constitution, the commie kenyan usurper, and our precious liberties.

      1. Lionel[redacted]Esq

If we all went Galt, we would not have to worry about the Socialist taking away or individual, God given right to rape. That is what Atlas Shrugged is all about, after all.

        1. prommie

Its not in our enlightened self-interest to protect the weak by not raping them. And no government can force me to not rape against my will. Forced not-raping is the moral equivalent of slavery.

    2. Doktor StrangeZoom

I remember a local radio show (Tucson, 1997 or so) where the host was fulminating about the evil gummint keeping men convicted of domestic violence from owning guns. His rationale was that an unhinged domestic abuser wouldn't be stopped from killing by not having a gun, because they'd just hit the woman over the head with a chair or something. So the woman's dead either way, and why would you want to take away the abuser's right to protect himself from a burglar?

    3. mrpuma2u

That rapist has a wife and kids that normally bear the brunt of his violent tendencies, so when you convict the rapist, you leave these people without a breadwinner. If the rapist needs to violate a liberal whore trollup or 2 (a month) well that just takes some of the pressure off his wife and kids. He can't beat on his family if he's out raping, can he? Didn't think about that, did you you socialist bleeding heart losers?

  15. owhatever

Hannity and Rush keep saying the War on Women claim backfired against Obama, while the GOP just keeps reloading.

    1. DashBarb Buddha

I hope to god that the few braincells still functioning in this great country of ours will see that the words are not matching the actions.

  16. Chick-Fil-Atheist™

Well if that Democrat woman had been a Republican, she would have married a perfectly fine, upstanding young Republican man, and lived in a much better household. Therefore she probably wouldn't have been raped after all. All about the choices you make.

(I swear to Jesus I have heard conservatively-minded people say shit like this before)

    1. NYNYNYjr

If she was a Republican woman, she either wouldn't have been raped or would have known that the rape was her fault and so kept her yap shut.

  17. ph7

We have an immigration policy that favors liars and whiners.

Wait – I thought the GOP liked competition!?!

    1. V572 Is this him?

You people just don't understand how democracy works. All this talk about "rights" undermines the democratic process of shoveling money towards legislators to influence their votes.

    2. NYNYNYjr

In other words. he has a $ stake in immigrant women being afraid of reporting abuse.

      1. Doktor StrangeZoom

Sure. The "marriage broker" and fake lobbyist for the fake "stop illegal immigrants from hiding behind DV laws" group is a woman:

An official of SAVE has a major financial interest in reducing immigrant protections: Its treasurer, Natasha Spivack, started international "marriage service" Encounters International in 1993 with the aim of arranging marriages between U.S. men and Russian women. "The Woman Of Your Dreams Just May Have A Russian Accent," states the company's website.

Hey, did that little popping noise come from your head?

          1. Doktor StrangeZoom

Remedy: the Hawaiian bureaucrats who've been beseiged by birther morons aren't taking it lying down. (see my comment in the current "We're all Getting Rich on Romney's First Day" thread…)

Here's the money quote from the TPM story: In the weeks since then, Bennett said, Hawaii officials have forced him to provide proof that he is who he says he is. They asked him to send them copies of the Arizona laws that prove the secretary of state really is the person in charge of handling the ballots.

            Better?

  18. mavenmaven

Schlafly also doesn't like them "non-whites". I guess once he bans abortion and overturns these pesky anti-rape laws, he can run around raping white women and thus increasing the non-non-white birth rate.

  19. Not_So_Much

Roger looks like he knows a great deal about 'liars and whiners'. Phyllis is going to need to step up the spankings. What a dirty, bad, naughty boy he is.

  20. DonnyKerabotsos

“The man I married had a penchant for drinking and was very violent when he drank,” the bill’s sponsor, freshman Rep. Sandy Adams, R-Fla., said during floor debate.

    Wine coolers, I'm guessing.

  21. Jus_Wonderin

OT: This is off topic but…maybe not. It cost Edwards a sum approaching 1 cool million to keep the news of his affair with RH a secret. Hell, I will be someone's secret lover for a mere 450K. Any takers?

    Comment not rapey, but…………..

  22. CivicHoliday

Violence only counts if the girl hasn't been born yet. After that point, she deserves what she gets.

  23. TootsStansbury

Keep fucking that chicken guys; you know you'll never get close to an actual woman again.

  24. ttommyunger

Roger Schlafly, proof positive that the pee-crust doesn't fall far from the pee-crusted twat.

  25. prommie

I've been surfing youtube videos of 80s alternative. I had forgotten about Fun Boy Three! (Thats code for "anyone got any good drugs?)

  26. Mumbletypeg

Protections for LGBT victims that were included in the VAWA reauthorization passed by the Senate were also left out of the House Cantor/Adams VAWA reauthorization

Cantor and company should be forced to watch Boys Don't Cry over and over til their skin peels off to expose whatever raw nerves exist can be examined for signs of humanlike compassion.

  27. FakaktaSouth

Sorry rapists, but as my (and Stephen Colbert's) love Jack White sings (warbles) "You can't take the effect and make it the cause." These are the stories that make me know I would want to shoot dead not only anyone who would try to ruin sex for me forever, but also I want to shoot my inner hippie/psychopath for knowing there are reasons I really can NOT own a gun.

        1. prommie

Its time for me to club you over the head and drag you back to my cave, or as the GOP calls it, enter into a "traditional marriage."

      1. FakaktaSouth

He is my rock and roll dream – in all his Raconteurs, White Stripes (my 5yo's Fave Band ever) solo project incarnations. He makes me so so so happy. I haven't gotten Blunderbuss yet, but I prob might as well, I just bought a bunch of goofy Simon and Garfunkel stuff because of blabbing on wonkette.

        1. Chet Kincaid

I had stopped listening to most rock for nearly 15 years (instead, Jazz and various World Musics). If they hadn't had iTunes library sharing on the network at a place I worked in 2004, I would never have sampled the White Stripes.

          1. FakaktaSouth

My man Jack is definitely an artist from a different time. I like the Foo FIghters for the same "real" music reason – and these dudes are like my age, so I don't know who the real up and coming true musicians are. And, because you know I am ultimately a sleaze way deep down, as sexy as I already thought his vibe was, when I saw how TALL Jack White is, I got all the more excited and could TOTALLY see where Renee Z was coming from. I love it. I'm buying Blunderbuss now.

        2. prommie

Go get the Black Keys, they are like the white stripes if the white stripes had soul and talent! The black keys make Jack White sound like a janky white dude with his herky jerky rythms and shit, they are just slinky

          1. FakaktaSouth

I have 3 Black Keys cds. I need to really listen to them. That singer is hot too.

ElCamino, The Big Come Up and something else. i am not even sure what. I feel like a loser. I used to know cool stuff.

          2. prommie

I am gonna see them Saturday night, and after that, a mad dash to see Gaslight Anthem in another part of the State!

          3. FakaktaSouth

Wow, see? Your life does not suck! I am going to be at a Middle School Pageant Saturday night and then Sunday to an all day travel ball (the devil's invention) tournament in another god-fore-saken place in this state. I have at least heard of Gaslight Anthem too. (They are not Arctic Monkeys, but the names are similar in type enough they should tour.)
Get twice as drunk for me.

          4. prommie

I will not be denied my gloom and despair, I am the only 50 year-old goth. Doesn't it make me irresistable, the mysterious sadness, the moody intensity?

          5. FakaktaSouth

Yes. Irresistable or bratty. Either way, adorable enough to make me start giggling ever more so when I hear the words New Jersey. Sigh…

          6. fuflans

yeah you should listen (tho you are most assuredly not a loser). they are my go-to workout band.

well, for this week. then something new and shiny will appear and my shallowness will kick in.

          7. fuflans

hahahaha you guys are fighting over white stripes and black keyes.

me, i just bought some more ru paul.

  28. BigSkullF*ckingDog

Look at that guys picture. Rape is about the only way he's getting laid. Even his hand doesn't want much to do with him.

  29. Limeylizzie

That man needs some serious threading action. BTW I am finding it really, really difficult to come to the Wonkette these days, due to that pig and the goats getting their legs sawn off. I am very tender-hearted, when it comes to animals, and it is making me very sad to see these things on a daily basis.

    1. Jus_Wonderin

I understand LL. It would be nice if we had a choice in ads. Though, please, none with Sally Struthers.

    2. FakaktaSouth

I would honestly pay not to see that stuff either. blllleeeeehhhh. Also, as bad as that guys eyebrows are, can you imagine the rapey parts? Grosssss. Threading is cool! Pass it on!

  30. thatsitfortheother1

There comes a time when snark just wont do, and cranial coitus is required.

  31. DashBarb Buddha

I confused. Is that a picture of Schafly's son, or the picture of a rapist? Cuz, whoever it is looks kind of rapey.

  32. BlueStateLibel

Uni-brow man is just upset that the last time he got any was in 1983. But keep trying dude, your flaming women hatred is sure to bring you ladies in droves!

  33. Ms_Anthrope

If Jesus had wanted women to have rights he would've put it in the constitution. Is that so hard to understand?

  34. ElPinche

In addition to bashing women, "Scientist" Roger Schafly repeatedly bashes evolutionism, string theory, Einstein, theory of relativity, and quantum mechanics. That dumbass lives in a tent right outside the "perimeter of ignorance" Roger is a 40 yr old virgin will never see a vagina (except the one that he came out of). And BTW fuck Phyllis' cunt-making cunt.

  35. not that Radio

Right Wing Watch deserves eleventy billion Purple Hearts and Bronze Stars for putting up with the shit that they do. I read Wonket a couple dozen times a day, and that involves reading about way more right wing bullshit than I can handle without anti-anxiety drugs. Media Matters can't even hold a fucking candle to the shit that RWW does on an hourly basis.

All hail RWW. We are not worthy.

  36. Soylent Green

Tried to post onto Eagle Forum's, er, forum. Looks like either they aren't taking opinions, or nobody's offering any.

  37. Callyson

She wants a federal law to presume that men are guilty so that female accusers do not have to answer embarrassing questions.

Excuse me? In what way does VAWA presume the guilt of the accused? The fuck?
