Growing up, we had a summer camp in our fair pueblita that catered to…wait for it…urban Armenian kids! Talk about boutique! The idea for Camp Hayastan was that all those citified Armenians needed a dollop of country livin' and a whole steamshovel bucket full of indoctrination. Apparently, in addition to the Rope Challenge and Beadwork badges, one could also earn badges in High Explosives, Booby Traps and Submachine Gun Use! This must have been way better than swimming across the lake in hopes of copping a feel.
So anyway, the rotten Feds raided the joint when I was 16 or 17 and spoiled the whole party. What squares! Thus your beloved Owls literally grew up next to a terrorist training camp…before it was hip to do so!

For Beck's audience, what they hear is "blah blah blah blah blah, you are right, they are wrong." They cannot discern between a logical, fact-based argument, and a disjointed, code-word filled, fantasy. I think there is an old Far Side strip that shows what a dog hears when you talk to it: "Blah blah blah blah FOOD blah blah blah." Thats what Tea-partiers hear. They pick out the loaded, code words, "Blah blah blah Liberals fascists socialism blah blah blah evil blah blah liberals did it." This is their level of comprehension, that of a fucking dog. True logical reasoning, an understanding of logical premises and how induction must also be tempered by objective observation, is as impossible to them as 10-dimensional calculus is to me.
