Here's the state of the Republican presidential race these days, if you look at national polls, which don't matter, but still:  Donald Trump is leading. Mitt Romney is trailing somewhere behind, tied with Newt Gingrich of all people. How did Romney lose his lead? The guy is an idiot; he's making no effort to embody the modern Republican Party. "I think the citizenship test has been passed. I believe the president was born in the United States," Romney admitted on the teevee yesterday. "The man needs to be taken out of office but his citizenship isn't the reason why." What is Mitt Romney going to say to his shipping container of grandchildren when they ask him why he lost again? "Sorry, dearies. Pop-Pop let Donald Trump win. It was too embarrassing for Pop-Pop to pretend to be a xenophobic troll." LOSER.
