Scott Walker Blames Ruin of His Political Party On City Folk

by Jack Stuef

He rides alone.Scott Walker lost control of his state supreme court yesterday when commie pinko JoAnne Kloppenburg defeated conservative David Prosser’s bid for re-election, though the race will probably end in a recount. How on Earth could a shoo-in for easy re-election like a supreme court justice with no real scandals on his record lose? WELL IT’S NOT SCOTT WALKER’S FAULT, IF THAT’S WHAT YOU’RE ASKING! The Republican Party of Minnesota is doing just fine! It’s the fact that Wisconsin VERY SUDDENLY has major cities that’s the problem. “You’ve got a world driven by Madison, and a world driven by everybody else out across the majority of the rest of the state of Wisconsin,” he said. Secession time!

Scott Walker will take the parts of the state that don’t hate his guts (i.e. nowhere) and turn them into a beautiful Wisconsin utopia where there are no such thing as workers’ rights or benefits.

“For those who believe it’s a referendum, while it might have a statewide impact that we may lean one way or the other, it’s largely driven by Madison, and to a lesser extent Milwaukee,” the governor said. “But those Senate recall elections on both the Democrat and Republican side aren’t being held in Madison, they aren’t being held in Milwaukee.”

Actually, the state senators subject to recall elections are still in real trouble, based on the margins of yesterday’s election in their districts, and based on the fact that, well, they’re going to be put up to a recall vote. Even if he’s right about control of the state senate, Scott Walker will still have to face the same statewide voters in his own recall vote. And unlike this Prosser guy, he’s well known for being an actual terrible asshole!

But Scott Walker can remain delusional for however long he can hold onto power if he wants to. What else does he have to do with his time on the throne? [WisPolitics]

Walker is holding onto power by a Koch.

Monsieur_Grumpe April 7, 2011 at 1:49 pm

Isn't it really is a blessing when the evil mongers of our country have a name like Koch? It would not be nearly as much fun if their name was Smith, Jones or Willberry.

tessiee April 7, 2011 at 3:30 pm

Willberries are usually right next to the Koch.

Terry April 7, 2011 at 12:19 pm

"Scott Walker will still have to face the same statewide voters in his own recall vote"

So, when IS his recall vote?

Rotundo_ April 7, 2011 at 12:56 pm

November/December of this year is the earliest that the recall process can begin. Begin it shall young master, begin it shall, and nought that Koch money can buy can stop it. Sealed is Scooter's fate.

Terry April 7, 2011 at 1:00 pm

Too bad it can't happen a bit sooner.

ShaveTheWhales April 7, 2011 at 8:45 pm

They're complying with state law. Go figure.

dox[acted] April 7, 2011 at 12:19 pm

It's like Pol Pot without all the Sartre-reading.

Pithaughn April 7, 2011 at 12:47 pm

and Pol Palin. You know she would just love to round up a bunch of non REAL Mericans and put them to "work" in some camps somewhere. By work I mean exterminate, just to be clear. Her hatred for others is like one of those big klieg lights at a Hollywood premier. Just being near one will sear your skin in seconds.

horsedreamer_1 April 7, 2011 at 11:10 pm

Possibly the most underrated despot. Hitler, especially on the internet (see Godwin), & Stalin, at the Teabaggings, get almost all the ink, with a little left over for Castro, Ayatollah Ruhollah "Back" Khomeini, Noriega, Mugabe, & Laurent Kabila, but Pol Pot, for my money, can beat them all. The Duvaliers & their voodoo, & Mao & his "five years plans", can match Pol for crazy & genocide, respectively, but the Khmer stand alone.

ManchuCandidate April 7, 2011 at 12:19 pm

It's time to teach those bastards from Rock Ridge, er, Madison a lesson.

Walker: I got it! I got it!
Hedley Koch: You do?
Walker: We'll work up a Number 6 on 'em.
Hedley Koch: [frowns] "Number 6"? I'm afraid I'm not familiar with that one.
Walker: Well, that's where we go a-ridin' into Madison, a-whompin' and a-whumpin' every livin' thing that moves within an inch of its life. Except the pets, of course.
Hedley Koch: You spare the pets?
Walker: Naw, we rape the shit out of them at the Number Six Dance later on.
Hedley Koch: Marvelous!

GuyClinch April 7, 2011 at 12:37 pm

When I think Teutonic Titwillow, Angela Merkel is not the first person I think of.

BornInATrailer April 7, 2011 at 1:01 pm

Walker: Union busting, false flag tricks, cutting the budget and union busting.
Hedley Koch: You said union busting twice.
Walker: I like union busting.

Dr_Zoidberg April 7, 2011 at 1:07 pm

Well, can't you see that's the last act of a desperate man?

Steverino247 April 7, 2011 at 1:21 pm

I don't care if it's the last act of Henry V, I'm running for President!

baconzgood April 7, 2011 at 12:20 pm

Thanks for the laugh Jack. I never thought I'd see the words beautiful Wisconsin utopia strung together in the same sentence.

mrblifil April 7, 2011 at 12:20 pm

Ha ha dickhead. Same people will be voting on your recall come January. If it weren't for the fact that you have actually factored such an outcome into your business model (that much faster access to lucrative sinecure) I would be gearing up for Shadenfreudepalooza 2012.

DustBowlBlues April 7, 2011 at 1:12 pm

"Shadenfreudepalooza 2012."

The politics in our tiny corner of the world are currently insane just like the politics the teevee brings me. I just saw Avenue Q so Schadenfreude is bouncing around (musically) in my head. Schadenfreudepalooza, therefore, suits my mood completely.

Also, I took three kinds of over the counter medicine about 3:00 AM to stop my coughing and can't really wake up, the hope 2012 will be just as described above may give me enough hope and energy to get my lazy self going this morning. Oops. This afternoon.

Danzig! April 7, 2011 at 12:20 pm

Wait, did the whole "declining to prosecute child molesters" thing not rate as a scandal?

mrblifil April 7, 2011 at 12:29 pm

Actually the molested dude came forward and complained of the politicization of his case, and overtly backed Prosser. Hey, altar boy, how's that Stockholm-y Syndromy thing workin' for ya –wink–?

QwertyToo April 7, 2011 at 12:46 pm

Mayfield did a complete 180 on this because he is now suing the church and has to act like Prosser did everything he could to help.

Aside from calling the Chief Justice a bitch?

SorosBot April 7, 2011 at 12:24 pm

And threatening her, and saying that it was OK to call her that because she is a bitch when asked to apologize.

mrblifil April 7, 2011 at 12:30 pm

And contending that if elected he will consciously be working to advance the Governor's agenda, ideology and interests?

SorosBot April 7, 2011 at 12:32 pm

anniegetyerfun April 7, 2011 at 12:35 pm

Holy shit. I had to look that up. I'm glad to see that the Republican Party is still using the "but she asked for it" excuse for nearly everything they do.

CookiE_MonstA April 7, 2011 at 3:02 pm

When they are not using the "It was a joke. You liberals have no sense of humor." excuse.

Crank_Tango April 7, 2011 at 12:43 pm

Hey, he just used a little bad judgment, that's all.

Boojum_Reborn April 7, 2011 at 1:12 pm

SayItWithWookies April 7, 2011 at 12:20 pm

Hey Scott — remember that Henry Ford said to never apologize and never explain? He would've added never make dumbass excuses that don't make any sense, but he didn't count on idiots such as yourself coming to power.

Preferred Customer April 7, 2011 at 12:57 pm

That was Hank the Deuce. Scott Walker doesn't listen to him, because he was not nearly as insane and fascist as his old man.

tessiee April 7, 2011 at 1:37 pm

???

I thought it was Winston Churchill.

Preferred Customer April 7, 2011 at 2:55 pm

Google shows me that people variously attribute it to Francis Bacon, Benjamin Disraeli, Winston Churchill, and Henry Ford II. It's the title of a biography of Ford, though, plus he was a U.S. American, so I will go with him.

PuckStopsHere April 7, 2011 at 11:40 pm

Little known but true. Hank II had the worst breath in the history of the species. I could not figure that one out. All that money and Oh. My. God. I used to have to interview him from time to time (press gaggle) and I thought the dude was going to melt my microphone and the hand which was holding it. Sweet Jesus…

Barbara_i April 7, 2011 at 12:21 pm

Dude, don't be buying any green bananas for the governor's mansion. You probably won't be around when they ripen.

iburl April 7, 2011 at 12:22 pm

Texas has the same problem, city folk, what with their cornputers, fancy edumacation, and 'science' are always voting for the Demo-rat party!! Until we can get Amurica back to the country-livin'/slave days of the foundling fathers, this countree with cuntinue to be The Soviet Union of the West!!!

poncho_pilot April 7, 2011 at 12:49 pm

i lived in College Station for five years. i didn't even bother voting. it seriously would've been a waste of time on my part. it's certainly no Austin.

comptoneffect April 7, 2011 at 12:23 pm

And I would have got away with it if it wasn’t for those meddling Madison kids!

MrsBiggTime April 7, 2011 at 1:32 pm

Billy Madison? John Wilkes Madison?

SheriffRoscoe April 7, 2011 at 12:23 pm

This coincides with recent data that says the younger, more educated you are, the more likely you are to live in an urban area.

DustBowlBlues April 7, 2011 at 1:31 pm

And, if things haven't changed, more likely to vote for Democrats. If we could limit the franchise to people who have at least a Bachelor's degree at a university accredited by a national association like, in my college days, the North Central A.A., and who never go to church, we could completely remake this country into the western European style socialist country we all pine for.

Or just limit it to people who can read a page-long essay without moving their lips. That would help, too.

SorosBot April 7, 2011 at 12:23 pm

So everything would be fine in Wisconsin if weren't for all those, you know, urban people; nice dogwhistling for your base asshole. But good to see a wingnut admit that yes, they just want to fuck over the cities and run everything to the advantage of the hicks.

mrblifil April 7, 2011 at 12:35 pm

In the last days of Apartheid, as the government was being dismantled, Afrikaaner white separatist douchebags were walking around with rifles drawn and wading in among the throngs of recently legitimized poor blacks like they were going to put this nonsense to rest once and for all. I remember ABC showing footage of a particularly stupid one who had been injured and was sitting on the road in all his finery complaining of how long it was taking for an ambulance to come. Within a few minutes a group of black vigilante's came along and shot him dead where he sat, as if they were putting down an injured horse.

Scott Walker seems to be operating at about this level of cognitive dissonance.

Jerri April 7, 2011 at 12:45 pm

You mean the places where the most people actually live might have some kind of impact on election outcomes?

Well root my toots, Clem! That there sounds logical!

SayItWithWookies April 7, 2011 at 12:45 pm

That's another thing Governor Walker has in common with Pol Pot.

poncho_pilot April 7, 2011 at 12:57 pm

considering Walker used to hold office in Milwaukee…yeah, he didn't treat it like he loved it from what i hear. but i hear there are some Nazi groups around Green Bay. he should look into that.

harry_palmer April 7, 2011 at 12:24 pm

People with porcelain shitters leave Scott Walker alone!

metamarcisf April 7, 2011 at 12:24 pm

Walker should get off his bike and introduce a measure that would ban sharia law forever in the cheesehead state. Only then will I rest easy.

OneYieldRegular April 7, 2011 at 12:24 pm

Obviously, the solution to this problem is to have a second, separate governor who would actually consider the residents of Madison and Milwaukee as among his or her constituents.

I think the problem for the GOP in Wisconsin isn't Madison or Milwaukee or even Green Bay. It's teeth.

Now hear me out here. People in cosmopolitan areas tend to have better dental hygiene and therefore more teeth than those in the boonies. So the GOP doesn't need less unions in Wisconsin to prevail, it needs less teeth in order to prevail.

unclejeems April 7, 2011 at 12:45 pm

I reckon when he leaves office, he'll move back to the old place down on the farm with Maw and the kids. I can see him now. He'll trade in the Harley for an old pickup. He's got a point, you know. Has anyone looked at a map of Wisconsin? The place is huge, its just enormous, but those cities, they are tiny, just little dots on the map. The overwhelming majority of the state is country, not city. What kind of democracy is this, where a tiny elite minority gets to ram its turgid, throbbing liberal commie fascism down the throat of the overwhelming majority of the State? Where did this liberal commie urban fascist notion come from, that elections should be determined by people, and not land area?

DashboardBuddha April 7, 2011 at 1:26 pm

The only solution is to give them country folks 2 votes each*.

*If'n they's white, that is.

Steverino247 April 7, 2011 at 1:31 pm

I know you're joking, but that's really how this rubes think. Take a look at the last Electoral College Vote Map and imagine the same argument: "More of the country is Red and voted for McCain so how did the Democrats steal the election?"

prommie April 7, 2011 at 4:22 pm

Joking?

SmutBoffin April 7, 2011 at 1:34 pm

Property ownership as a basis for secular authority? Haven't we tried that…?

DustBowlBlues April 7, 2011 at 1:56 pm

Tried it? We fought a revolution over it.

tessiee April 7, 2011 at 1:52 pm

"a tiny elite minority gets to ram its turgid, throbbing liberal commie fascism down the throat of the overwhelming majority of the State"

Now I'm feeling squirmish.

SorosBot April 7, 2011 at 2:12 pm

The States need to give disproportionate representation to rural yokels, just like the Senate!

veedal April 7, 2011 at 1:09 pm

I think Walker just called half of Wisconsin "lactose intolerant".

BruceSugar April 7, 2011 at 1:10 pm

Sweet 8 pound baby jesus will protect him!

SmutBoffin April 7, 2011 at 1:13 pm

…and another head up on WI's electoral chopping block.

jqheywood April 7, 2011 at 1:24 pm

what a graceful loser you are scott walker.

Fixed.

Ducksworthy April 7, 2011 at 1:28 pm

i.e. The parts of the state not controlled by the Posse Committatus.

Ducksworthy April 7, 2011 at 1:30 pm

Bosnia had the same problem and look what the rurals did to Sarajevo.

tessiee April 7, 2011 at 1:31 pm

Not Fond du Lac?

Graham Cracker April 7, 2011 at 1:35 pm

Never been Fond of that place.

tessiee April 7, 2011 at 3:33 pm

Why not? What does it lac?

Steverino247 April 7, 2011 at 1:31 pm

Heute Madison, morgen die Welt!

DustBowlBlues April 7, 2011 at 1:33 pm

One person, one vote? James Madison comes back from the grave to fuck Scott Walker, and not in a good way.

tessiee April 7, 2011 at 1:34 pm

"It’s the fact that Wisconsin VERY SUDDENLY has major cities that’s the problem."

Shorter: Only the inbred, toothless hicks are the REAL citizens of [place name].
Translation: Only inbred, toothless hicks with no options in life can be duped by our loathsome ideologies.

DustBowlBlues April 7, 2011 at 1:35 pm

I'm afraid his Daddies, the Kock's, will have to take him out behind the woodpile and spank him, country style. They might all enjoy it, actually.

ThankYouJeebus April 7, 2011 at 1:42 pm

There's a difference between A bitch and MY bitch.

GOPCrusher April 7, 2011 at 1:42 pm

I guess Scott Walker has forgotten about the people from Janesville, Beloit, or Kenosha that have had their well-paying union jobs ripped from them in recent history.

sezme April 7, 2011 at 1:48 pm

Scott Walker will take the parts of the state that don’t hate his guts (i.e. nowhere)

Hey, I grew up in Nowhere (Door County), Wisconsin! I'd feel insulted if it wasn't so very true.

jus_wonderin April 7, 2011 at 1:50 pm

Scotty have a huge fence post "driven" up his butt??

natl_indecency_cmdr April 7, 2011 at 1:55 pm

god I hate this fucking clown. and every damn day he opens his fucking mouth and says something else stupid and gives me a whole new reason to hate him.

SudsMcKenzie April 7, 2011 at 2:39 pm

He speaks his mind, because he has nothing to loose.

AJW@[redacted] April 7, 2011 at 2:01 pm

Nice of Snot Wanker to ride a Road King, built by UAW workers in Milwaukee WI York PA, at least for the last 40 years.

DustBowlBlues April 7, 2011 at 2:02 pm

If I were sort of actually awake today, I would try to find some news comparing the chances of the Recall against the Democrat(s) versus Republitards but I'm not so I won't, and therefore depend on one of my trusty wonkeratti colleagues to update me.

Again, thanks to the wonkeratti who gave me Republitard. I use it on my facebook page, specifically to scare the unbelievably nerdy creep from high school who saw me on the HS reunion facebook page and friended me into unfriending me. He's grown into an unbelievably nerdy right wing creep who serves in the state House of Representatives. I hope to make him regret sending that friend request as fast as I can. He'll probably do have an exorcism done of his computer. PC, I'm sure, not a cool Mac.

BklynIlluminati April 7, 2011 at 2:08 pm

This monkey doesn't know when he just got his ass kicked. Good keep doubling down won't be long until your next.

owhatever April 7, 2011 at 2:17 pm

Governor Walker can now declare victory, resign by saying Wisconsin doesn't want a lame-duck governor, and move his craziness over to Fox News. Worked for Lou Sarah.

natl_indecency_cmdr April 7, 2011 at 2:20 pm

not that Scooter deserves this, but many rural counties in WI also voted for Kloppenburg including Ashland county (which is in the extreme north on Lake Superior and went 70-30 for K.) and Crawford county where just over 4,000 people voted and went 60-40 for K and Iowa county with about 6,000 votes and went 62-38 for K. These are not liberal bastions. They're just places where reasonable people live and know bullshit when they smell it. http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/files/elections/2011...

Guppy06 April 7, 2011 at 3:12 pm

What do you expect him to say? If he doesn't stay ideologically pure, he'll be summarily Second-Amendeded by the Tea Party.

gurukalehuru April 7, 2011 at 3:33 pm

Did I hear that right? Did Scott Walker just say "Fuck Madison and Milwaukee!"? Why, yes, I do believe he just did.

tessiee April 7, 2011 at 3:51 pm

[deep, sexy voice a la Barry White]
Awwww, yeah!
Walk nasty for me, Babeh!

MadBrahms April 7, 2011 at 3:59 pm

Haha, remember when Scott Walker was the chief executive of Milwaukee, a city?

Apparently he hated cities then, too, because he cut funding across the board and fucked everyone. Surprise!

owhatever April 7, 2011 at 4:23 pm

He is not the governor of Madison and Milwaukee residents?

heian120 April 7, 2011 at 5:17 pm

Shows us what thugs and Union money can do – but it ain’t over yet.

Once people realize that some of the clowns with the Cadillac benefits don’t deserve em the picture could change…..

Still got a recount coming

Limeylizzie April 7, 2011 at 5:59 pm

New numbers, but I supose we can expect more of the same. It's gone back and forth all day, it seems.

simplyblue7 April 7, 2011 at 6:14 pm

God bless recall votes!

Gleem_McShineys April 7, 2011 at 8:10 pm

"Fuckin' cities, how do they work?"

undeadgoat April 7, 2011 at 11:11 pm

Well you know some of us fancy-ass city slickers here in Madison, with our "A Vote for Prosser is a vote for Walker" signs, have been on the "anybody but Prosser" train since January due to the fact that he is a terrible judge and former Assembly speaker . . .

lulzmonger April 7, 2011 at 11:57 pm

Riding a motorcycle without a helmet = LULZMONGER APPROVES.

Lost_Teabaggers April 8, 2011 at 1:37 am

Oh jesus…and then there was this: 10,859 votes "discovered" for douchebag mcgoo/ sexy child molestor glasses Prosser in Waukesha county…oh good god, someone tell me these aren't going to be admitted….I was so happy to see that walking shitbag reduced to a pile of whiney, wingnut dingbat postule that he is….and yet, he may still triumph. (assuming this isn't cheating, which I suspect it is…GOP beotch says "oopsie") besides…how can 14,000 people live in Waukesha county?

Swampgas_Man April 7, 2011 at 2:31 pm

Bad cow disease.
