Pamela Geller Was Tricked By James O’Keefe’s Sharia Website

but surely her intuition is still good

Any excuse to use this photo.Top GZ Mosk bigotry advocate Pamela Geller is always on the lookout for Sharia sneaking into American law, which is why she sleeps at night with one arm around stacks of legal code and the other holding a shotgun. When she ran across the fake website James O’Keefe set up for his “NPR employees also have personal opinions about the world” sting, she knew she had found another Sharia smoking gun. Whoops! Yeah, she totally has a block-quote button on her blog software, and she knows how to use it; seeing “MEAC is a servant of Islam, and may peace be upon us all” on the site, she responds: “I’d rather blow up the world than live as a slave.” Oh, so Pamela Geller is going to blow up the entire world now? Speaking of terrorists…

The MEAC site isn’t actually very radical, which makes sense, because he was trying to use it to make NPR think it was a legitimate organization. But Geller knows how to read between the lines. From the MEAC site:

Islam in America is at a crossroads. One path is continued confusion, hatred, intolerance and discrimination, and the other is the truth and beauty of the Quran. America has been struggling with which road to choose primarily because it does not know or understand the beauty of our holy teachings.

Geller:

In other words, if you do not accept living under the most radical, extreme ideology on the earth, Islamic (sharia) law, than you are filled with “confusion, hatred, intolerance and discrimination.”

Some really good parsing, that.

Also, Pam UPDATE:

UPDATE: Troubling note on the subversion and how these groups cross-pollinate and are one, in fact operating from the same Islamic playbook (the qur’an):
Reader Megan wrote tipped me off to this. I googled the address of the MEAC trust — 2100 M street suite 170 — and the very first search result is Ground Zero mosque imam radical Rauf and the Cordoba movement here, under the Muslim Brotherhood proxy ISNA.

How creepy is all this? MEAC, ISNA, Rauf — stealth jihad.

Very creepy! It’s almost like this is all just a ruse to get a woman on a boat filled with dildos and lube. [Atlas Shrugs via Right Richter]

I'm not sure when it happened, but as a society we've stopped getting crazy people treatment and started giving them lots of platforms from which to share their malfunctions.

      1. Ducksworthy

Reagan's deinstitutionalization of the mentally ill was a parallel to the better known "Southern Strategy". Both were designed to use fear, hatred and insanity to fill out the GOP base.

    1. carlgt1

That's kind of the premise of the "Idiot America" book I just read. We used to have adorable cranks in America that gave us "interesting" viewpoints to consider. But now they have been moved front & center and are driving foreign & domestic policy, and are heard 24/7.

    2. lulzmonger

Indeed – & evidence is mounting that some malfunctions are memetically contagious.

Primitive backward cultures often revere the insane, believing that their madness is the work of divine intervention or elder spirits.

But nobody ever reveres dipshits except other dipshits.

  2. Chillwaver

I thought that Loughner pic was disturbing until I saw this one…it looks like Bachmann and Coulter morphed into a single person!

    1. SorosBot

And I believe that photo was actually taken by either Jack or Riley, at CPAC; imagine how frightening it must have been to be there, right in front of this howling harpy.

  3. harry_palmer

Living in a country where you get threatened with being blown up for having different beliefs is almost like, I don't know, living under Sharia law or something.

  4. Texan_Bulldog

God, she must be a hoot at a party or after she's had a few drinks in her. "That waiter looks Muslim–I bet he prayed to Allah over our food. I demand to see the manager because I will not be waited on by a terrorist. He's probably putting an IED under my car right this minute!" She is a horrible, unhappy, racist person.

    1. widestanceroman

Sometiiimes, dead is beddah (referring of course, to Buffy's death/revivial, not the actress who shares her name).

  5. slithytoves

imam radical Rauf . Sure, "love is my religion" Sufis are about as radical as that Jewish guy who told people that it wasn't enough to love their neighbors, they had to love their enemies, too. What was his name again?

    Happy Ash Wednesday heathens!

  6. GuanoFaucet

Visiting Geller's website is like falling into a pitch-black vortex of batshit crazy bigotry.

  7. LabRodent

When i was young when you said "man thats one crazy chick" it was like she was the coolest girl in school. Today not so much.

  8. BarackMyWorld

Just want to point out, regarding the modern right's obsession with certain crazy women: if Geller looked like Betty Friedan (or Bachmann looked like Bella Abzug, or if Palin looked like Ann Richards) do you think she'd be taken seriously by her fanbase or conservative media outlets?

          1. PsycWench

So I guess that means Phyllis Schafly is still alive? You'd think the vitriol would have, I don't know, liquified her or something by now.

          2. Texan_Bulldog

Yep, still kicking. I think the hate is the only thing that keeps her heart pumping (and the rest of the old haters for that matter). Otherwise all they have is Murder, She Wrote & 4 p.m. buffets at Luby's.

          3. widestanceroman

It's the weekly injections of stored Reagan Polyp Drainage that keep her going (the supply is not infinite, so it's still just a matter of time).

    1. imissopus

Granted she's dead, but Ayn Rand is a giant right-wing hero and she looked like the result of a retarded bulldog fucking an anal polyp.

  9. Hera Sent Me

I'd rather blow up myself than live in a world controlled by the likes of Pam Geller. But I'm not selfish enough to take everybody else with me.

  10. ttommyunger

I've noticed when I am confronted by a Rightard I feel perplexed and a little bewildered. When Rightards are confronted by me, or others of a Liberal persuasion, they immediately feel anger or even hatred of a very personal nature. Is this because they feel threatened? Sorry for the lack of snark, but I am truly puzzled. The crazy person in this article got me to thinking about this. She needs help.

    1. SorosBot

Because they are wingnuts, and have fallen to the dark side; they feed on fear, anger and hatred, and are virtually incapable of light side emotions like compassion, charity and love.

      1. MarshallBanana

Don't knock the dark side. If O'Queef, Breitfuck, Loughner, and the other shits have taught us anything, it's that the dark side apparently gets results.

    2. Doktor Avalanche

My take is that from Fochs/Rush they've been conditioned to see libs-Dems-anyone who-isn't-a-member-of-their-club as anti-American, Constitution destroying, baby killing, lawless, godless, anti-capitalist, drug addicted, kiddie porn having, anarchists. Not hard to get up in arms about someone who's been dehumanized.

But besides that, some of us don't care for kiddie porn.

    3. DahBoner

Wingnuts are angry at you because you expose them to be nothing more than a fool to have fallen for the GOP propaganda.

Quite frankly they prefer the lies. And the lying liars who feed them the lies.

You are a thorn in their side because you are making them look like gullible fools…

    4. lulzmonger

Do you present facts that contradict their POV? Then you threaten their intense need to be right about everything – & worse, you might even expose how very little they ARE right about. Lots of M$M conditioning to equate you with Stalin, Hitler & Satan helps, too.

They had two long periods in which to prove they were right – Reagan/GHW Bush & Dubya – & both times they led America into major decline, crippling national debt & stasis.

For guaranteed lulz, ask one of them to name one single positive domestic policy initiative from the entire span of those twenty long dark years.

  11. LesBontemps

Pam Geller was tricked? I don't buy it. No one has to trick Pam Geller into saying something stupid.

  12. 4tehlulz_lite

“I’d rather blow up the world than live as a slave.”

HAHA implying she's going to do something other than talk…

  13. mumbly_joe

    Actuall on-topic:

Aaand now NPR's CEO resigned, because some fund-raising officer was caught giving a personal opinion that he disclaimed as his personal opinion, and also happens to really seriously be the truth, actuall. And Jame's O'Keefe's Candid Camera Adventure claims another scalp.

Seriously, why are the good guys all so fucking spineless? This is depressing.

    1. SorosBot

What the fuck is wrong with people? After the spineless Dems in Congress defunded ACORN, then the administration fired Shirley Sherrod, thanks to O'Keefe's and Breitbart's slanders and both accusations turned out to be complete and total bullshit, everyone should know that anything that comes from them is false. If they get angry phone calls or whatever, just respond with "it came from the known professional libeler Breitbart".

    1. 4tehlulz_lite

She feels compelled to do so because she's a slave to fashion.

Shit, this means she's going to blow up the world now.

    2. widestanceroman

Bat Girl takes no chances, it's surgically implanted, which means it would be a hoot to trick her into walking under a very large Acme Magnet Co. magnet.

  14. mumbly_joe

Now, now. I'm absolutely certain that giving the conservatives that want to destroy NPR exactly what they want in this case will totally placate them, and resigning as CEO because of a fictional controversy because one of your other executives told the truth in private will totally not be read as an admission of guilt by the Beck-watching base that is already pretty sure NPR is part of the Muslin-Soros conspiracy to destroy America and replace it with a Marxist-Fascist Caliphate.

      1. ShaveTheWhales

Yeah. If I skimmed the article correctly, the NPR Board asked her to resign.

        So, NPR Board = Pussies.

  15. BklynIlluminati

Didn't this chick have a spoon bending act back in the day? Friggin racist spoon hater

  16. Doktor Avalanche

I'd pay to see Pamela take down O'queef's imaginary organization. Somebody needs to set up FB and Twitter internet presence. ALL HAIL MEAC BROTHERHOOD!

  17. PubOption

Does she have a metal object in her hand in the photo? Is she trying to bend it like her relative Uri did?

  18. Zombie_Reagan

Being snarky would give Geller too much credence, so I'll just post the first thing that popped into my mind after I read this blurb: what a total dipshit.

  19. PsycWench

Is girlfriend a birfer? That's some real birfer logic right there.
Or as Tom Delay once said "I think he should show his gift certificate".

  20. KenLayIsAlive

Between this MEAC site, and the Shariah4America.com presented the other day – the world is just awash in fake Muslim fanatic websites.

The conspiracy runs so vast and deep, we had to make it up.

Oh, OT – Glad to see NPR cave in to the power of James O'Keefe. What a shocker.

  21. comptoneffect

Checking out the photo and I got some questions: Why is she waving around a knife in the basement of that church? What is she wearing under that trench coat? Why does she have the crazy eyes?

  22. OC_Surf_Serf

Funny how that O'Keefe is such a FOXSnooze darling with 3 minute over-edited avi's yet Micheal Moore (backed by his team of researchers and attorneys) appears to make shoddy, debatable documentaries…

    1. imissopus

Speaking of Michael Moore, our weekend troll datechguy has this post up in which the fedora-sporting clown claims that Michael Moore speaking to a crowd of protesters in Madison is proof somehow that the left has just about lost the whole battle there and is no longer appealing to the mainstream. Whereas I would claim that datechguy is a bloviating maroon who couldn't find his ass with both hands and a map.

        1. imissopus

Gah, how do I keep doing that? Try this.

EDIT: Okay, that's fucked up. I triple-checked the link, hit Save, and then when I moused over the link it was pointing back to this thread. Something's screwy with either intensedebate or my browser.

EDIT AGAIN: Ok, now it seems to be okay.

  23. DaRooster

“I’d rather blow up the world than live as a slave.”

Why do crazees always do this… taking out everybody else AND themselves. Just start with yourself and move on from there. Anybody got a light, see there's this fuse over here and it seems to be attached to a crazy lady.

  24. Redhead

How do you go from "may peace be upon us all" to blowing up the whole world because someone disagrees with you (and has the audacity to wish you peace)?

  25. philpjfry

why doesn't she just blow up herself instead? Is that a knife in her hand? "Stay back I will cut you"

  26. genxr

Love the comments on her site. Allow me to paraphrase:

When liberals try to argue with us conservatives, we quickly learn they have no cogent thesis on which to base their assumptions, and no logical chain of proof that allows them to go from assumption to conclusion; in fact, the entire liberal argument is based on ad-hominem, coupled with an ad-hoc, logically incoherent string of pejoratives aimed at us, the thoughtful analytic conservatives. We try in vain to present both sides of the argument and enlighten them, to no avail. This is because liberals are dirty, ugly, marxist hate mongers who are out to destroy America and everything we love. So it logically follows that we should blow up the world. QED.

Who sez liberals are more educated? That's ridiculous. Those over-educated intellectual elites are lying again!

You're right. Parody is powerless here.

    1. ShaveTheWhales

Look, the fact that some of us prefer the ladies doesn't mean we're attracted to alien life-forms. Mostly.

  27. lulzmonger

B-b-b-b-but her falling for the phony MEAC website just PROVES that Muzlimz = pure evil because she wouldn't have bought it if there weren't all those evil Muzlimz to base her reptile-brain "logic" on! QED, libz!

Hmm. MEAC … Shariah4America … FBI trying to get peaceful Muslims to join bomb-plots … King saying the only terrorism he wants to investigate is Muslim terrorism, despite growing threats from white-supremacist & ultra-conservative "Patriots" who openly declare war against America … laws against Sharia law in places that will never have more than 10% Muslim voters … it's almost like there's some sort of pattern here!

"What is it, Lassie? Did Timmy America's supply of Thorazine fall down a well?"
