CIA Robots Kill Germans in Pakistan

by Riley Waggaman  10:34 pm October 4, 2010

Many years from now, your grandchild will ask inquisitively, “Grandpa, will you please tell me the story about that time the robots from the CIA killed the German people in the mountains of Pakistan?” And then you will scratch your head, as senile old people often do, and belch “You’ll have to be more specific. That happened practically every single day when I was your age.” Memories:

Drone aircraft operated by the Central Intelligence Agency killed several militants with German citizenship in the mountains of Pakistan on Monday, according to Pakistani and American officials.

The missile strikes were part of an escalating barrage of attacks by the C.I.A. over the past month, and come amid tension in European capitals over the possibility that operatives of Al Qaeda who are based in Pakistan and North Africa might be planning terrorist attacks somewhere on the continent.

The Germans needs an occasional dust off to keep them from acting up.

mayor_quimby October 4, 2010 at 11:37 pm

When has randomly killing a German caused bad outcomes? Other than that one time in Austria, but that turned out well for everybody. Mostly everybody.

Lazy Media October 5, 2010 at 12:10 am

Exactly! Except that was an Austrian, and it happened in Bosnia-Herzegovina. But, exactly!

mayor_quimby October 5, 2010 at 1:32 am

I knew it was an Austrian, but I guess I should have Wiki'ed a bit on the whole 'facts' thing. Jeez, what a stickler.
And yes, I did upward-thumb your comment.

Let's settle this with a duel in Sarajevo.

Zvi_Bleindmeis October 4, 2010 at 10:57 pm

There is, as yet, no confirmation that the Germans were in Afghanistan as part of the crew producing the concert film "Kraftwerk Unplugged."

Bomb, bomb, autobomb

Steverino247 October 5, 2010 at 1:01 am

Du.
Du hasst.
Du hasst Drohnen.

V572625694 October 5, 2010 at 1:13 am

Ich möchte mit einem Drohn geschlagen sein, wenn ich in Afghanistan bin. Es schmeckt mir gut!

Iam_Who_Iam October 5, 2010 at 6:54 am

I don't speak German so I had to use a translator and I got something like "Yummy, drones taste good, please bomb me with your long hard drone."

Close enough?

You have successfully captured the spirit of the original statement. Well done!

ttommyunger October 4, 2010 at 11:02 pm

Our ever-imaginative CIA is currently working on a Drone that will take off from America, kill Germans in Pakistan, startle Iranians in Iraq and give the Japanese the Clapp no matter where they happen to be. Why, you ask? Why the fuck not?

housbinfarteen October 4, 2010 at 11:17 pm

German's lost in the mountains of Pakistan. That must have been some Octoberfest.

Steverino247 October 5, 2010 at 12:53 am

Holy shit, that was funny. There's one of Benny Hinn with Let the Bodies Hit the Floor after that one.

Mortot October 5, 2010 at 12:12 am

Wow, Germans aren't just sticking to the Philippines and Thailand for their child sex tourism anymore, exploring new shores where they thought they would be safe from persecution, were they?

horselover_fat October 5, 2010 at 12:29 am

At what point will my grandchild be inquisitive, Riley? I assume that by speaking age they will be mining for common minerals in the Koch Family Foundational Quarry, unless they are a brown, in which case they will be reduced to basic amino acids and injected into Hostess-Pfizer's new line of citalopram-enhanced congealed corn syrup products. If my grandchild survives long enough to foster a sort of basic curiosity about the world, the privately-owned and Preznit Palin mandated Jesus camps will flog that kinda sinful thinkin' out of them, and then send them to die in the Holy Terror Crusades fighting against future VIctory Mosks. Yeah, that optimism is really cute, guy.

You won't live long enough to find out because Obummer's solar death panels would have pulled the plug on you

Springtime for Muslins from Germany…

Autumn for Mormons and dance…

Gee, this might present a conundrum for the neoconservatives: do they praise Obama's approach in Afghanistan for stopping a real threat, or do they go completely overboard and come up with a ridiculous way to argue that this means Dubya was right? Who knows — either outcome is equally likely.

Ducksworthy October 5, 2010 at 9:32 am

or both simultaneously

RunnyRose October 5, 2010 at 8:52 am

Gosh, what a tragedy. But let this be a lesson to us all – we NEED to have robot insurance. I can't stress that enough.

BaldarTFlagass October 5, 2010 at 8:53 am

These Germans, were they nihilists?

mrblifil October 5, 2010 at 9:34 am

No no no, didn't you read the quote? They were "militants" which trumps "citizen" every time. They were also probably brown. This has rarely accrued well for a German "citizen."

Steverino247 October 5, 2010 at 10:03 am

No, they were wearing pointy heads.

bagofmice October 5, 2010 at 10:23 am

Remember, if you are carrying a weapon in Afghanistan, you are obviously a militant.

Rarian Rakista October 5, 2010 at 11:51 pm

Why can't we take this approach to the American South and Texas?

jimmyjohn2 October 5, 2010 at 10:32 am

ACHTUNG!
