Adrian Fenty Foreshadows the End Times For Newspapers and Obama
If you care about "DC politics" -- and chances are you probably don't -- you might have heard that Mayor Adrian Fenty was cold trounced in the Democratic mayoral primary yesterday evening, by a certain Vincent Gray. Many believe that Fenty lost because he is bald and has too many white friends, but this is only half true. The full truth is that Fenty was endorsed by the Washington City Paper and the Washington Post , so obviously everyone felt compelled to vote for Gray, to make Fenty and the Newspaper Media look foolish.
At 1: 50 a.m., Gray celebrated his 53 percent to 46 percent victory by asking joyful supporters to honor the man he defeated: "Despite our differences, I know well that Adrian Fenty shares our commitment to this city." But Gray supporters, some of them holding signs saying "BYE!" over a photo of Fenty, immediately broke into a loud chorus of "Nah, Nah, Hey, Hey, Kiss Him Goodbye."
Rude.
Also, did you know that Adrian Fenty endorsed Barack Obama way back in 2008? And did you know Barack Obama is also black, does not have that much hair on his head, lives in Washington, D.C., and has a lot of white friends? And did you know that Barack Obama has an election of his own coming up soon, in only two years? Do you see where we are going with this?
Yes, the Washington Post will go bankrupt in 2012. [ WaPo ]
