I would like an M1 -- the rifle or the tank. My father had one (the gun) in WWII and it does have historic interest. I'd worry about firing it, assuming ammunition is available. The thing is older than me and might be broken or weakened.

Naturally the gun nuts are seeing anti-gun sentiment. Perhaps if we let it be known that muslins like owning guns, they might pause. Nah - the muslins may not have First Amendment rights to build a mosk, but everyone -- from bin Laden to bin Laden's crazy cousin -- has a right to military firearms.

Geez - these wouldn't be weapons paid for by the US Government, given to South Korea for defense, and now that government wants to sell them back to the taxpayers who paid for them in the first place?

Just a guess.

However, if that is correct, the obvious answer is for South Korea to just give them away to us...
